After the Second Playthrough, the CP-Less Female Lead Kneels and Begs Me for Forgiveness [Quick Transmigration] - Chapter 64
“Today is Xiao Le’s school sports day! Lin Ling, hurry and put on your sportswear.”
Shao Xibei was filled with grand ambitions, vowing to make Shao Xile proud by winning first place.
Lin Ling took the light blue sportswear and changed right in front of Shao Xibei without any hesitation. Despite having seen this countless times, Shao Xibei still felt a bit bashful.
She turned her face away. “How many times have I told you? Go to the bathroom to change.”
Lin Ling reached out, gently guiding Shao Xibei’s face back to look at her, and then naturally pressed a kiss against her lips.
“We’ve done far more intimate things than this countless times. There’s no need to be shy.” Although Lin Ling’s expression remained calm, the smile in her eyes ran deep.
Shao Xibei’s face flushed a bright red. She quickly pushed Lin Ling away, looking incredibly cute with her crimson cheeks. “Alright, that’s enough. The sports day is about to start.”
Lin Ling kissed her again, this time deeply.
When they finally pulled apart, Shao Xibei’s lips were slightly swollen from the intensity of the kiss.
Lin Ling said with a straight face, “Stop seducing me. I’m going to get the car.”
Shao Xibei: “…” What on earth has this girl been watching lately?
As it approached 1:00 PM, Shao Xibei and Lin Ling were unfortunately stuck in a massive traffic jam.
“Ahhh! It’s over! we’re not going to make it! Xiao Le is going to be so sad,” Shao Xibei lamented, staring at the dense sea of vehicles ahead of them.
Lin Ling squeezed her hand. “It’ll be okay.”
Chaoyang Primary School
“Students of Class 2B, please go to the school gate to meet your parents and bring them back here,” the teacher announced over the microphone on the playground.
“Okay!!!” The children’s high-pitched, youthful voices erupted. It was clear they were incredibly excited.
Shao Xile was no exception.
She ran to the school gate as fast as she could, looking outward. Large groups of parents were reuniting with their children. As time passed, the crowd of adults grew thinner and thinner.
Shao Xile still saw no sign of her two sisters.
“Shao Xile, where are your mom and dad?” a child next to her asked.
Shao Xile turned her head; it was a classmate. She replied, “They’re coming… they’ll be here any second.”
Just then, another child piped up, “Shao Xile, stop lying. You clearly don’t have a mom or dad.” Children never truly realize how hurtful their words can be.
Shao Xile clenched her fists, but she couldn’t find a way to argue because what the child said was indeed the truth. Her parents had passed away a long time ago.
“You little brat, where did you run off to? Get over here!” the child’s parents called out from a distance.
“Coming, Mommy! Coming, Daddy!” The child hurried over, happily grabbing their parents’ hands.
Shao Xile watched them from behind, an uncontrollable sadness rising in her heart.
Time ticked by. There were no more parents entering through the school gate. Shao Xile stared into the distance. Do my sisters have something else to do today?
They certainly did—they were stuck in a terrible traffic jam.
By the time they reached the school, it was already past 1:10 PM. Shao Xibei was frantic. The moment they stepped out of the car, she grabbed Lin Ling’s hand and sprinted. Seeing the empty school gate made her even more anxious.
“Lin Ling, what do we do? Xiao Le must have been so sad waiting for us.”
Lin Ling patted her head. “It’s fine. Let’s go find her right now.”
As soon as they stepped through the school gate, a little “cannonball” came charging toward them.
Shao Xibei quickly reached out to catch her. “Xiao Le, I’m so sorry! You must have waited a long time.”
Shao Xile nuzzled against Shao Xibei’s neck. “I knew you guys would come.”
Lin Ling reached out and patted Xiao Le’s little head. “Let’s go. Sister Lin will help you win first place.”
Shao Xile nodded vigorously. “Sister, put me down.”
Shao Xile climbed out of Shao Xibei’s arms and stood between the two of them, holding one sister’s hand in her left and the other’s in her right.
“Let’s go, sisters!”
Shao Xibei and Lin Ling were both stunningly beautiful, drawing eyes wherever they went. Even though Shao Xile’s features hadn’t fully matured yet, she was incredibly cute. Dressed in their matching family outfits, the three of them looked like models. Among the crowd of aunts and uncles, they stood out like a forest of tall trees.
Holding their hands, Shao Xile walked past the child at the gate who had said she had no parents.
That child’s eyes were practically sparkling as she stared at Shao Xibei. She blocked Shao Xile’s path and stuttered, “Shao Xile… is—is this your sister? She’s… she’s so pretty.” Both sisters were beautiful, but she felt the other sister looked a bit cold, while this one seemed very gentle.
Shao Xile lifted her head, her small face filled with pride. “I don’t have a mom or dad, but I have two beautiful, gentle sisters who spoil me rotten!”
She looked absolutely adorable.
Shao Xibei understood what had happened the moment she heard those words. She crouched down to meet the child’s gaze, causing the little girl to shyly hide behind her mother.
Shao Xibei gave a gentle smile. “Little one, you shouldn’t say things like that next time. It makes Xiao Le very sad.”
Dazzled by the beautiful smile, the child became lightheaded and blurted out, “I’m sorry! I… I won’t say it again!”
The child’s mother quickly pieced together what had occurred and apologized profusely. “I am so sorry. I will definitely teach her a lesson when we get home. She’s old enough to know better than to be so rude.”
Just then, it seemed the teacher called the child’s name, and she was pulled away by her mother, though she kept looking back over her shoulder as she left.
Shao Xile’s name was called next; it was time to prepare for the competitions.
Shao Xibei had originally intended to participate with Xiao Le herself, but thinking that this was a perfect opportunity for Lin Ling and Xiao Le to bond, she leaned in and whispered into Lin Ling’s ear, “Lin Ling, why don’t you do it with Xiao Le? I’ll stay on the sidelines and record everything.” She waved her phone playfully.
Lin Ling had no objections.
Shao Xibei then turned to Xiao Le. “Xiao Le, Sister Lin is going to team up with you for the next parts, okay?”
Shao Xile nodded, though she felt a bit nervous. After all, even though Sister Lin was nice, she still seemed a bit intimidating and hard to approach.
However, as Lin Ling led her to victory after victory, and as she felt the envious gazes of the other children, Shao Xile’s nervousness vanished without a trace.
Meanwhile, Shao Xibei held up her phone the entire time, recording how Lin Ling dominated every family event to take first place.
Shao Xibei thought to herself: …As expected of a System.
The other parents were stunned. One parent sighed in admiration, “Is that little girl’s sister a superhero?”
Others chimed in immediately, “Right? She was moving so fast during the race you could almost see afterimages!”
Shao Xibei felt a strange surge of pride: My family is just built different.
Finally, all the events were finished. The duo of Lin Ling and Shao Xile had the highest score and were the undisputed champions.
“Congratulations to student Shao Xile and her sister for winning first place in Class 2B’s family sports day!” the teacher announced, handing the microphone to the little girl. “Xiao Le, is there anything you’d like to say?”
Shao Xile took the microphone and took a deep breath. “I! LOVE! MY TWO SISTERS THE MOST!!! I want to be with them forever!!!”
Shao Xibei was momentarily stunned before breaking into a wide smile; Lin Ling’s lips also curled into a rare, genuine smile.
On the way home, Shao Xile wore her first-place medal, holding one hand of each sister as she skipped along, humming a song. Her face was radiant with happiness; anyone could see she was over the moon.
“Sister, Sister Ling, I love you guys the very, very, very most!”
Shao Xibei teased her, patting her head. “Oh? Your tongue is so sweet today—are you after a present or something?”
Shao Xile puffed out her cheeks, making her round face look even more like a little bun. “Hmph! No, I’m not!”
Shao Xibei knew she wasn’t, of course; she just enjoyed teasing the child.
“Lin Ling, Xiao Le is definitely plotting for something. She’s usually not this sweet. Don’t you agree?”
Shao Xile turned her eyes toward Lin Ling, sure that Sister Lin wouldn’t bully a child the way her sister did.
Lin Ling met Xiao Le’s gaze and slowly nodded. “Your sister is right.”
Shao Xile: “…” Grown-ups are all villains!!!
“You guys are too mean!!!”
Shao Xibei burst into laughter.
Watching that laugh, Lin Ling’s eyes were unconsciously filled with overflowing doting and affection.
This life was far too beautiful. They would stay together like this, forever and ever…
