After the Nerd Marked the Top Omega - Chapter 10
Evening.
The two had arranged a time to meet, still at the same cafe, in the same corner.
The cafe was much quieter than the street, with only the occasional murmurs of conversation.
Sitting down, Fang Xu subconsciously glanced to the side.
Everyone else was busy with their own affairs, and no one was paying attention to them.
Pei Yunci noticed this, looked at her, and asked unhurriedly, “Worried about being seen?”
Fang Xu first nodded, then shook her head, answering honestly, “It doesn’t matter if I’m seen, I’m just worried about you being seen.”
Due to their recent collaboration, Pei Yunci was a hot topic of discussion at Jiangcheng University.
If people knew she was nearby the school, in less than five minutes, people would come over to take photos and check-in.
Pei Yunci: “Don’t worry, no one will see us here.”
The green plants and walls shielded the two completely, making it exceptionally private both inside and out.
“If we really get discovered,” her tone paused slightly, then she said, “then we’ll just have to move to another place.”
Saying this made it sound as if they had some kind of secret, illicit relationship.
Fang Xu coughed, and quickly picked up the hot coffee on the table to take a sip.
Pei Yunci asked with concern, “Do you have a cold?”
Fang Xu suppressed her chaotic thoughts and said, “No, no.”
Pei Yunci nodded, then brought up the main topic of the meeting: “This is the agreement I drafted. You can take a look first and tell me your requirements.”
Fang Xu took it and read the contents of the agreement carefully, which could roughly be summarized into three points.
First, she must provide pheromone-assisted treatment when Party A (Pei Yunci) needs it.
Second, communication must remain open, and she must not refuse calls or messages from Party A without good reason.
Third, the agreement period is one year. During the agreement period, Party B (Fang Xu) must not develop an intimate relationship with anyone else, and Party A will also abide by this.
In return, Party A will provide Party B with a set of real estate in any area of Jiangcheng and a car, effective upon signing the agreement. After the agreement ends, an additional one million will be provided.
According to Du Xing’an’s estimate of her body, after one year of Alpha pheromone-assisted treatment, the symptoms could change from severe to mild.
By then, an Alpha’s mark would no longer be needed, and synthetic pheromones could be used, allowing the agreement relationship to end.
Seeing her turn to the last page, Pei Yunci continued, “You can choose the house and car yourself, and I will have my assistant add the details to the agreement later.”
The house and car, freely chosen in Jiangcheng, would amount to at least an eight-figure sum, a very generous condition.
But Fang Xu did not immediately agree.
She took out a few sheets of paper from her backpack: “This is my body report.”
Pei Yunci raised an eyebrow and looked through them one by one: “The secondary differentiation was sudden, and you need to regularly supplement with synthetic Omega pheromones?”
Fang Xu said, “Yes.”
Pei Yunci looked up: “Because of me?”
Fang Xu: “No. The doctor said the secondary differentiation is very complicated, possibly due to multiple factors. The last… mark was just an inducing factor.”
Pei Yunci lightly tapped the table with her fingertip: “So, you want me to help you with your treatment too?”
Fang Xu: “If possible, I hope you can help me. But it’s not essential; if it’s inconvenient for you, I can use synthetic Omega pheromones.”
Pei Yunci hummed, not giving a clear answer, only asking, “Anything else?”
She lowered her eyelashes slightly, her posture relaxed, but the aura that radiated from her was impossible to ignore.
Fang Xu pursed her lips and continued, “If we sign the agreement, I will keep in touch with you. However, if it’s during an important specialized course or exam period, I might not be able to rush over immediately.”
Pei Yunci understood: “That’s natural, academics are more important. Anything else?”
It would be absurd for her to ask a top-ranking student to skip an exam just to mark her.
Fang Xu stated her final requirement: “We are helping each other. I don’t need the house and car; one million is enough as compensation.”
Pei Yunci’s long, pale fingers lightly tapped the tabletop, and she said slowly, “I see. You want autonomy.”
She was willing to help, but not unconditionally.
In this relationship, Fang Xu was unwilling to be a tool called upon and dismissed at will; she needed to at least manage her own time.
Fang Xu gave a small “Mhm” and asked, “Miss Pei, is that acceptable?”
Pei Yunci: “If I refuse, will there be no opportunity for collaboration?”
The girl sat up straight, visibly nervous, yet still held firm to her opinion: “I apologize.”
Pei Yunci curved her lip, extended a finger, and said, “Withdraw your apology. I hope we can cooperate happily.”
It had to be said that the girl’s requirements were unexpected, yet they made her appreciate Fang Xu more.
Fang Xu was slightly stunned before she realized this meant the other party had agreed.
She quickly reached out and touched the other’s slightly cool fingertip: “Happy cooperation.”
Her manner was earnest and serious.
Pei Yunci’s lips curved slightly, and she said, “Once the agreement is revised, I will send it to you again.”
Fang Xu finally snapped back to attention and replied, “Okay.”
She thought to herself that the other person was not as unapproachable as the rumors suggested; in fact, she was almost too easy to talk to.
Pei Yunci looked at the nearly untouched cup by the person opposite her and casually asked, “You don’t like coffee?”
Fang Xu shook her head: “It’s alright.”
She really wasn’t used to coffee, always finding it bitter, but there was no need to mention such a trivial matter to the person in front of her.
Pei Yunci didn’t press the matter and changed the subject: “Do you have time tonight?”
Fang Xu nodded: “No evening classes or part-time work. I have plenty of time.”
Pei Yunci hummed, her tone normal as she said, “Then come back to the apartment with me?”
Fang Xu was bewildered, only managing a single syllable: “Huh?”
Her eyes were clear and confused, looking simple and easy to trick.
Pei Yunci reminded herself that the person in front of her was a student, still in university, and managed to suppress the urge to tease that arose in her heart.
She asked, “Do you remember what happened during the last mark?”
The sudden change of topic made Fang Xu’s ears feel hot, but she didn’t evade, her voice a little lower as she said, “I remember.”
Pei Yunci: “How much do you remember?”
Fang Xu hesitantly said, “After the mark was completed…”
“And then?”
“…I fainted. I don’t remember what happened after that.”
Pei Yunci slightly raised an eyebrow: “When you fainted, the mark was not yet complete.”
At that time in the isolation room, the other party had bitten her scent gland, and only half of the pheromones had been injected before she collapsed onto her shoulder.
When the assistant and doctor came over, though they didn’t say anything, it was easy to guess from their expressions that their first thought was that she had forced the Alpha.
“If possible, should we complete the mark tonight?”
