Si Tang instinctively lifted her leg to kick his shoulder, trying to push him away.
Si Tang wanted to die.
In the end, he sighed softly, “I am a little hurt.”
He brought over the ointment. Si Tang twisted away to dodge but couldn’t resist.
In bed, his domineering, controlling, and savage nature was laid bare.
Fan Yi fetched a towel on his own and wiped himself clean. Then he pressed close again. Si Tang, like a bristling cat, grabbed his hair and yanked him away.
He saw through her thoughts, chuckled softly, and nuzzled against her, sniffing her pleasant scent. He kissed the tip of her nose and her cheeks with lingering affection, his peach-blossom eyes filled with intoxicated infatuation.
Pulling Si Tang into his arms and holding her tightly, he spoke in a voice thick with satisfaction, “My wife smells so sweet.”
Si Tang was speechless. She pulled the covers over her head and turned away, unwilling to respond or acknowledge him.
“Does it still hurt?”
Si Tang still ignored him. It didn’t hurt it felt like she had been hollowed out inside.
Fan Yi took the hint, assuming she was just too shy, even though her body had been very honest. He thought this must be what people in the human world called “saying one thing but meaning another.”
Just as Si Tang was withdrawing into herself, the covers were tugged twice. She looked up to see Fan Yi’s handsome face magnified before her. He held a cup of water and said in a slightly ingratiating tone, “Tangtang, have some water.”
Si Tang’s eyes flickered. The next moment, Fan Yi pulled her into his embrace, leaning her against his chest, and fed her.
Si Tang took a few sips following his movements, then shook her head to indicate she’d had enough. She saw him frown slightly and murmur, “How is this enough? Just now, you.”
“…”
Si Tang immediately sensed he was about to say something inappropriate and kicked him. “Don’t speak,” she said, her eyes fierce but her actions lacking any real threat.
Unaware of how charming she looked in that moment her cool, elegant features tinged with a uniquely feminine delicacy.
Fan Yi backed down, his soft blue eyes gazing at her innocently. “Then, Tangtang, rest a little longer. I’ll go make food and call you when it’s ready.” With that, Fan Yi obediently left.
Well, he couldn’t afford to anger his wife too much. Otherwise, he’d be kicked out of bed.
Si Tang turned over, feeling exhausted.
What’s the point of talking about shame with a fish?
Just as Si Tang was about to close her eyes for a nap, it suddenly occurred to her, Fan Yi still hadn’t agreed to that three-part agreement!
This time, during her nap, Si Tang had a strange dream.
In the dream, everything was set in ancient times. She appeared to be around thirteen or fourteen, wearing a goose-yellow ruqun, her smile bright and charming. However, her lips were pale, her figure slender, and her face bore a sickly pallor, giving her a delicate, willow-like appearance.
Below the city tower, the common people cheered in unison, welcoming the young general’s triumphant return.
“Miss, please slow down,” her maid said worriedly from behind. The young girl stood on tiptoe, eagerly searching the army for the person she was waiting for.
In the distance, dust rose, and banners fluttered. A tall, imposing figure clad in black armor came into view. The man wore a sword at his waist, his features sharp and aggressive, his eyes so calm they held no ripple of emotion. Si Tang watched from afar, feeling he looked very familiar.
The man’s gaze softened when he spotted the girl on the city wall.
Si Tang saw “herself” excitedly lift her skirts and dash down the stairs. The man had already dismounted and was waiting.
“Brother!”
He gently ruffled the girl’s hair, his voice carrying a faint tenderness. “Tang’er, did you miss me?”
The girl’s nose tingled with emotion as she nodded. “Tang’er wants to.”
Since this was from a third-person perspective, Si Tang could never clearly see the man’s face, yet she felt a deeply empathetic attachment to him.
The man took out an exquisite sandalwood box from his embrace.
“On my way back from the campaign, I passed by the Hundred Physicians Valley. These are the medicinal pills I sought. Your brother, will definitely cure you.” He gently stroked the girl’s pale cheek, his eyes darkening slightly.
“Brother.” The girl inhaled softly, her long, curled eyelashes trembling faintly. Medicine from the Hundred Physicians Valley was extremely hard to obtain. His casual mention of “passing by” surely concealed untold sacrifices.
“Come, let’s return to the estate with your brother.” The man took her hand. “I wonder how the cherry blossoms in the estate are faring? The borderlands are harsh and cold devoid of such delicate flowers.”
Hand in hand, they walked side by side toward the inner city walls.
It was then that Si Tang suddenly saw the man’s face clearly.
Sharp eyebrows and starry eyes, dignified and aloof, with an imposing aura that commanded respect without anger. When he wasn’t smiling, he was as cold as frost and snow; when he smiled, it was like spring ice cracking unexpectedly.
He looked exactly like He Chenzhou.
When Si Tang woke up again, the morning light was already bright outside the window. She lay in bed for a few seconds, recalling the dream, but dismissed it as a coincidence and quickly put it out of her mind. Besides, there was a jealous man waiting outside her door, she didn’t dare mention it or even dwell on it.
Fan Yi was already waiting outside her door. The moment he sensed she was awake, he eagerly trailed after her.
Watching him, Si Tang felt as if an invisible tail was wagging like a propeller behind him an indescribable and bizarre mismatch that left her utterly speechless.
Three years ago, he hadn’t been like this. The more arrogant he’d been back then, the starker the contrast now.
Fan Yi couldn’t care less about what she was thinking and followed her into the walk-in closet.
Thinking about returning that evening, Si Tang changed out of her nightgown into everyday clothes.
Unexpectedly, Fan Yi followed her in.
“What are you doing in here?”
“I need to change too, wifey.”
Si Tang shot him a glance. He was wearing a light blue silk pajama set with a V-neck, looking lazy and relaxed. His stunning snow-white hair was overwhelmingly radiant, accentuating a face of unparalleled, captivating beauty and an innate, oppressive aura.
After a moment of thought, Si Tang remarked, “You really should change your style.”
Thankfully, he had disguised his hair color; otherwise, he wouldn’t have been able to deceive her so thoroughly, making her believe he was a proper and courteous gentleman.
Fan Yi couldn’t be bothered to keep up the act now, but he still followed Si Tang’s suggestion, disguising his blue eyes back to black and adapting his hair to the local style by cutting it short.
As for the color, he kept it disguised otherwise, Si Tang wouldn’t be able to explain those bewitching blue eyes.
As for his hair turning white, she could just say he’d dyed it.
Si Tang silently watched as Fan Yi, with his eye-catching white hair, pulled on his clothes.
He slipped into a loose-fitting cotton T-shirt with a relaxed neckline that faintly revealed the shadows of his collarbones, exuding an air of weary nobility.
Still, white hair suited him better. The short white style accentuated his unruly pride.
It matched his inherently wild and arrogant demeanor. Originally, with white hair and snow-white lashes, he should have leaned toward a cold, aloof aesthetic, but his features were too exquisitely refined, overshadowing any sense of chill with their intense allure.
Si Tang walked to the other side and realized that nearly 90% of the clothes in the walk-in closet were prepared by Fan Yi for her, as if he intended to dress her up like a doll.
She randomly picked one, a lavishly detailed piece that looked suitable for a banquet.
“Where are the clothes I wore when I arrived?” Si Tang couldn’t help but ask.
“They’re on the deck,” Fan Yi replied lazily.
Si Tang walked out and soon arrived on the deck.
She saw clothes hanging by the railing, swaying in the sea breeze even the underwear was no exception.
