- After Teasing the Crazy Mermaid, He Actually Deceived Me into Marriage
- Chapter 17 - Day and Night of Degradation
The night was ambiguously deep.
Warm water rippled and splashed, the extreme black and white ends of hair intertwining, creating a forbidden scene in the undulating waves.
The orange-red candlelight reflected the sapphire’s gleam, dancing in Si Tang’s dazed, moist eyes.
“No.”
The previously unconscious figure paused, then lowered his head to bite the side of her neck.
“Tang Tang, it hurts.”
Si Tang actually detected a note of coquettishness and pleading in his tone. Yet, he complied and did not press further.
Moreover, it might lead to severe consequences.
Before Si Tang could finish her reproach, her face was turned, and her lips were fiercely sealed.
He nibbled on her lips, emitting a soothing breathy sound from his throat.
Si Tang opened her eyes hazily and saw his slightly flushed face, breathtakingly enchanting. His clear, deep blue eyes reflected a dim, lustful glow. His hair was damp, his eyelashes wet, lending him an unexpectedly innocent air.
When this wave of passion subsided, his gaze gradually regained its composure, as if he noticed he had hurt her.
“Hmm. what are you doing?” Si Tang’s mind was still muddled.
“Don’t be afraid.”
Gods knew no shame, yet he seemed unaware of how shocking his actions were in Si Tang’s eyes.
Si Tang felt as if struck by lightning, twisting her body to escape, but it was already too late.
Later, after five consecutive days, Si Tang finally understood that what was written in the books was true.
Si Tang was nearly driven mad, forced to sink into the mire of desire.
Who was the one in heat? Who could truly say?
Five days later.
Early morning.
When Si Tang awoke, she felt an illusion of having returned from the dead.
The gauzy bed curtains floated gently, shimmering with iridescent light, making her feel as if she were in a dream. Extremely pure and rare pearls adorned them, exuding luxury and fantasy.
A restraining force pressed against her front as Fan Yi’s arm wrapped around her from behind, a posture of complete possession. The even rhythm of his breathing beside her ear was calm. Si Tang cautiously turned her head and found Fan Yi with his eyes closed. He had returned to his usual self, his fair and flawless features carrying an innocent, pure quality in slumber.
Beneath the covers, she was completely naked, causing her to blush instantly. She exerted some effort to break free from his hold and reached for the clothes nearby.
“Hmm?”
A deep voice sounded from behind as Fan Yi opened his eyes. He sat up slightly, his dark robe slightly open, a strand of his moonlight-silk-like white hair falling onto Si Tang’s chest, tickling her.
Si Tang turned her head to look and found him above her, gazing down at her.
His deep blue peach-blossom eyes were lowered, revealing no discernible emotion.
For a moment, Si Tang couldn’t connect those desireless, profound eyes with the fervent gaze that had entangled with her for five days and nights.
Gods do not understand worldly emotions.
Si Tang thought to herself.
Throughout those days and nights of degradation, only she remained awake, while he had lost control due to his heat.
He stared at her for a long while before suddenly curving his lips into a smile, his eyes filled with delight, the blue irises sparkling like starlight.
“Tang Tang. you’ve worked hard these past few days.”
His eyes were clear, as if expressing pure gratitude without understanding the significance of those events.
Si Tang’s heart trembled, her face flushing as she grabbed the corner of the quilt to cover her chest.
“I need to get dressed. Please step out for a moment. Fan Yi.”
Fan Yi lowered his gaze to look at her. The human had jet-black hair and dark eyes, her face flushed red to the tips of her ears. Upon closer inspection, a tiny mole adorned the delicate bridge of her nose. Though Fan Yi had always preferred flawless things, he inexplicably found her utterly endearing.
“Alright,” he said, rising from the bed. His fingertips lightly brushed the slightly wrinkled collar of his robe, and with a soft flash of white light, he restored his elegant, jade-like appearance.
“I’ll take my leave now, Tangtang. Rest well. Tomorrow, I’ll take you to see the butterflies.”
After Fan Yi left, Si Tang slowly dressed, her mind wandering the entire time.
Somehow, her thoughts kept drifting back to those days and nights five days and five nights. And surprisingly, she didn’t harbor as much hatred as she expected.
It had happened under a sort of half-coercion, yet she had gone along with it, employing a gentle strategy to achieve her goal of becoming “friends” and eventually returning home.
Si Tang couldn’t understand it.
Perhaps it was because. that face was too mesmerizing, enough to make one forget all the malice he had once shown.
Si Tang walked to the entrance of the cave and noticed it was already afternoon. The central dining table was laden with exquisite delicacies. She had no idea which luxury cruise banquet Fanyi had “appropriated” them from this time.
He was oddly considerate.
But the barrier at the cave entrance. was still there. Si Tang withdrew her gaze in disappointment.
He still intended to keep her “caged.”
Deep beneath the sea, in the palace of Atlantis.
Fan Yi lounged lazily on his throne, his trident resting beside him. His expression was one of weary indifference.
A stream of golden light shimmered agitatedly before him. 8856 spoke to Fanyi in a frantic, hurried tone.
“Your Excellency, have you gone mad? She’s a human!”
“This is serious! What if the Chief Deity finds out? This is unheard of!”
Fan Yi remained unmoved, shifting his posture slightly before leaning forward. His eyes swept over the golden light, his voice lazy yet laced with a hidden threat.
“Oh? So, are you going to report this to my elder brother?” He paused, then continued, word by word, “Overseer.”
That’s right Fan Yi had been exiled to these waters, and 8856, the celestial law of this world, also served as his overseer.
The trident lay within Fan Yi’s reach. Though he hadn’t moved, it began to tremble violently, a force capable of upheaving the ocean floor simmering just beneath the surface.
8856 trembled in fear, bitter but unable to voice its grievances.
Who would have thought this merman would so defiantly break divine laws? And it didn’t dare report him to the Chief Deity.
A living ancestor! Truly a living ancestor!
All 8856 could do was stammer out a trembling plea.
“Lord Fan Yi, if you only see her as a tool to ease your mating season.” 8856 hesitated, “It’s against divine law. If you overstep. if you transgress, it might invoke the wrath of the heavens!”
It was indeed against divine law.
According to divine decree, a deity may only engage in intimate acts with their bonded spouse. Moreover, the other party was a human. The union of human and deity was inherently taboo, a violation of divine morality, and would likely summon even greater heavenly thunder. At worst, it could lead to the annihilation of one’s soul.
Fan Yi lowered his gaze, lost in thought.
8856 thought he had taken the warning to heart. It had been right outside the cave during the Sea God’s mating season, but the barrier had prevented any intervention. It feared that if this ancestor truly committed a sin, a single thunderbolt would strike, and it, the so-called “overseer,” would suffer the consequences as well.
After what felt like an eternity, Fan Yi suddenly spoke, his tone calm.
“Who told you I only see her as a tool to ease my mating season?”
8856 was utterly shocked and bewildered, wanting to cover his ears.
What else could it be? Could it be that Lord Fan Yi had taken a liking to this human? No wonder he hadn’t devoured her all this time!
Impossible! Perhaps Lord Fan Yi was just confused by the reactions of his mating season, mistakenly thinking he had developed some ridiculous feelings for the human!
“Lord Fan Yi, please reconsider!” 8856’s voice trembled uncontrollably.
Fan Yi responded indifferently, completely unconcerned as he issued the order to leave. “Get out of my palace.”
8856 scurried away in a flash, while the trident nearby was still whimpering inwardly.
Because Lord Fan Yi stroked his chin, seemingly brewing some ill-intentioned plan.
It heard him say, “Tsk, using her as a tool? Wouldn’t that truly make me a beast?”
Trident: Sob, my lord, haven’t you done plenty of beastly things already?
Meanwhile, the Sea God leaned back lazily on his throne once more. A faint white light flickered in his palm, and an amber pendant appeared the very one Si Tang had given him. He gently rubbed the necklace, his eyes narrowing slightly. No one could decipher what he was thinking.
In an unnoticed corner, a speck of white light began to sprout at the center of his brow.
