- Chapter 30 - The Seductive Evil Spirit (3) Want
The surrounding air suddenly turned frigid. Despite it being a scorching summer day, Yan Yi felt as if a bucket of ice water had been poured over her. A chill filled the marrow of her bones and rushed to her scalp, making it tingle with numbness.
The ghost was right beside her!
Her eyes widened, her teeth chattered uncontrollably, and her legs went weak. Instinctively, she immediately ran toward Yan Yi, trying to shield him behind her.
“Yiyi, do not be afraid.”
Yan Yi tugged at her sleeve to bring her back to her senses. He curved his eyes and said in a soft, gentle voice, “Sister, do not worry. He will not hurt me.”
Black hair lengthened, coiling around Yan Yi’s wrist and pulling his hand away from Yan Jue’s sleeve. The possessiveness was so intense that the spirit even minded him touching his own sister’s clothes.
Yan Jue could not see the black hair growing out of thin air. She could only see the ring of reddish-purple bruises appearing on Yan Yi’s wrist, stark and glaring under the sunlight. It was etched into her vision. Yan Jue’s pupils dilated, and she struggled to breathe. She felt that her younger brother was suffering immense grievances yet was pretending everything was fine in front of her.
She wanted to comfort him by saying that Heavenly Master Tang was very capable and would surely succeed in exorcising this ghost, telling him not to worry. But the ghost was right here. Yan Jue could only suppress her words. Terrified and uncertain, she kept her head down, scanning the area with her peripheral vision. But since she lacked spiritual sight, she could not see even a trace of a ghost.
Her words choked in her throat. Yan Jue communicated through her eyes, wanting her brother to go to the county with her this afternoon. They could not stay here any longer. She had originally thought about moving out slowly, but given the situation, they had to move as quickly as possible. Otherwise, if this ghost latched onto her brother, it would be dangerous. Heavenly Master Tang had said that those who stay with ghosts for long periods would have Yin energy enter their bodies, and they would not live long.
She had already lost her father; she did not want to lose her brother too. Her brother had to be safe and live a long life. If something happened to him, their mother’s health would not hold up either. She had looked it up online and learned that ghosts are usually trapped in one place and cannot wander freely. As long as their family moved far away, the ghost would surely be unable to haunt them. Then Yiyi could live a normal life.
Yan Yi did not understand the meaning in her eyes, but he could roughly guess what she wanted to say from her expression. He supported moving to protect them, but he was unwilling to be separated from Lu Yinshen for even a second. He did not pick up on that topic and instead asked Yan Jue, “Sister, is there an umbrella at home?”
The sun was too intense now, dazzlingly bright. Even with Lu Yinshen holding him from behind, Yan Yi felt that the spirit was not as cold as he had been last night. Yan Yi felt sorry for him and wanted an umbrella to shade him.
Yan Jue was stunned for a moment. Were they not talking about ghosts? Why did the conversation suddenly jump to this? After reacting, Yan Jue nodded. “Yes, there are several umbrellas at home. They are all black.”
She thought Yan Yi wanted to use it himself and said, “The sun is indeed very fierce right now. Yiyi, your skin is fair, so you do need some shade.” Looking at the marks on his body, Yan Jue said heartrendingly, “Yiyi, eat your lunch first. Sister will go home and get it for you.”
Yan Yi did not refuse. His dark eyes curved, and he smiled very gently. “Thank you, Sister.”
Seeing this made Yan Jue’s heart ache even more. Her brother had been gentle and kind since he was a child, not even having the heart to step on an ant. Compared to the people in the village, he was like a cloud compared to mud. He was also obedient and sensible, needing no looking after as he could take care of himself. Yet now, he was being humiliated like this by a ghost.
She felt resentment in her heart, not just toward the evil spirit who had almost entered a ghost marriage with her, but toward the disgusting and lecherous men in the village. Except for the twins, not a single person who had died in the village recently was innocent! Yan Jue would only clap and cheer at their deaths. Previously, she had been quite grateful to this ghost for killing those who deserved to die. But with her brother being bullied like this, she could not help but feel a grudge.
She did not dare say anything bad about the evil spirit, fearing that if the ghost heard, he would take his anger out on her brother and add more injuries to him. Yan Jue wiped her face, set the lunch down, and turned to hurry home. After delivering the umbrella to her brother, she had to quickly prepare for the move. There were many things to be busy with next.
The door was shut tight, blocking out the fierce sun. Long hair wrapped around Yan Yi’s body, binding him tightly. Lu Yinshen rested his chin on his shoulder and put his arm around the back of his neck. His eyes were hazy as he lowered his head and kissed his lips. His kissing technique was poor, and his tongue moved about clumsily and recklessly.
Yan Yi was forced to open his lips. Afraid of hurting him, he did not dare move his hands within the black hair. Glistening tears appeared in his eyes. Lu Yinshen was very satisfied with his expression. Thinking he had kissed him too hard, he continued to crash clumsily between his lips and tongue.
The food was set aside. Fortunately, the weather was hot, so it would not get cold anytime soon.
“Knock, knock.” There was a sound of knocking on the door.
Lu Yinshen licked his lower lip with lingering desire. Yan Yi’s breathing was completely disordered as he gasped for air. This person kissed too hard and lacked any technique, forgetting that humans need to breathe. Yan Yi leaned weakly against Lu Yinshen’s embrace to recover his strength. He was currently half a head shorter than Lu Yinshen. Even if he wanted to hold him in his arms, the height difference made it impossible.
But he certainly would not stay this height forever; he would eventually grow taller than Lu Yinshen. Seeing that the person inside had not responded, Yan Jue knocked on the door a few more times and said worriedly, “Yiyi, what is wrong? Why have you not opened the door for so long?”
Yan Yi adjusted his breathing and said, “Sister, I am fine.”
Before opening the door, Yan Yi pulled Lu Yinshen behind him, trying his best to stand on his tiptoes to shield him from more light. Yan Jue was holding a folded black umbrella. Just as she was about to hand it to him, Yan Yi’s swollen lips caught her eye. Her footsteps stopped, and she secretly ground her teeth. With her brother looking like this, who else could have done it but that ghost?
Yan Jue was so angry her eyes almost turned red. She took several deep breaths. Before she could calm her emotions, she heard Yan Yi ask, “Sister, when is the Heavenly Master coming?”
The scorching sun overhead disappeared. Yan Jue looked up and found that her brother had already opened the umbrella. Her eyes turned red with emotion. Her brother was so good to her. Yan Jue first looked around vigilantly and then answered his question in a low voice. “Heavenly Master Tang said she would come at night. It seems to be because Yin energy is stronger then, making it easier to see ghosts. Anyway, as long as Heavenly Master Tang comes, there will be no problem.”
Yan Yi looked at her seriously, his eyes full of hope. “Sister, can you tell the Heavenly Master that we do not need the exorcism anymore? He is good and will not hurt us.”
Yan Jue saw that his expression was wrong, and her heart skipped a beat. Could it be that her brother had fallen in love with the ghost? She frowned. “Yiyi, have you been put under a spell? Humans and ghosts walk different paths; you must never fall in love with him.”
Even to gloss over it, Yan Yi did not want to lie and say he did not like Lu Yinshen. He changed the subject. “Sister, let us go home and see Mother after lunch.”
Leaving their mother alone at home for a long time indeed made Yan Jue very uneasy. She nodded. “Alright, but I will go back first. You should come home after you finish your lunch. Mother misses you. Remember to come back early.” After saying that, Yan Jue waved goodbye to him.
Yan Yi did not bring up the topic of exorcism again. He said to Lu Yinshen, “Let us go for a walk together tonight.”
Lu Yinshen was different from other ordinary ghosts; he was not trapped in one place and could float around. The female lead was going into the mountains tonight, which would be troublesome, and Yan Yi did not want Lu Yinshen to run into her. The female lead had a special constitution. When ordinary ghosts saw her, it was like facing the sun, causing unbearable pain. Only Lu Yinshen did not fear her constitution. But not fearing it did not mean it would not hurt. Ghosts could not feel ordinary pain, but the methods of a Heavenly Master were extraordinary. Even if Lu Yinshen was not injured by them, he would still feel pain.
Yan Yi closed the door and put away the black umbrella. The food Yan Jue had brought was still warm, and steam rose when he opened it. Lu Yinshen leaned against him, looking curiously at the things on the table.
He was a ghost, and his memories from when he was alive had nearly vanished. After becoming like this, he had lived in a daze for many years until he gradually gained self-awareness. He lacked common sense regarding many things. His behavior of blocking Yan Yi’s lips and binding him was also something he had learned later from a picture book he had found. There were many different postures inside. Lu Yinshen had remembered them after flipping through a few pages and was now using them on Yan Yi. What he had used last night was only the most common one.
He had not found many books, and since no one had taught him before, he could only figure things out on his own, so there were many things he did not understand. Yan Yi stroked his long hair and explained to him gently and patiently the history of these dishes, the methods of growing the ingredients, and the way they were finally prepared. Lu Yinshen felt uninterested after hearing a little, but he liked hearing Yan Yi talk to him. He curled up in Yan Yi’s arms, wrapping his hands tightly around the youth’s waist.
The lunch was finished amidst the explanations. Yan Yi pulled back a corner of the curtain and looked at the sky. The sun was still very strong. He closed the curtain, turned around, and said to Lu Yinshen, “Let us go home and see Mother when the sun is weaker.”
Lu Yinshen did not speak. His expression was obsessed, his face flushed, and he focused on licking the youth’s body. The short-sleeved shirt was pulled into a mess, nearly tearing under the force. He had seen this posture in that picture book. The evil spirit tried his best to imitate the erotic drawings, making Yan Yi feel restless and suspended in mid-air.
His body kept leaning back, but fortunately, the hair around his waist held him tight so he would not fall. However, this made it easier for Lu Yinshen’s movements. Lu Yinshen licked for a long time but was still not satisfied. He took Yan Yi’s hand and placed it below his collarbone, his eyes full of infatuation. “You do it.”
That little book contained more than just those things. There was more, but Lu Yinshen did not understand how to replicate it perfectly. Yan Yi’s heart raced. It was not that he did not want to, but he did not want things to happen between him and Lu Yinshen so hastily here. Moreover, his body was not yet well-developed, and he was not even as tall as Lu Yinshen. Yan Yi was worried he would not be able to satisfy him.
His Adam’s apple bobbed. Yan Yi’s knuckles curved, winding a strand of black hair, and his voice was tight. “Brother-in-law, I am…”
Lu Yinshen did not know his concerns. He thought he was unwilling and pressed him fiercely against the wall. His eyes were filled with a malevolent aura as he bit Yan Yi’s chin hard, leaving a clear tooth mark. Except for the skin around his eyes, every part of Yan Yi’s skin exposed outside his clothes was covered in red and swollen marks.
After covering him in kisses, Lu Yinshen still did not feel satisfied. His pupils were pitch black, and his red robe was half-unzipped at the collar, revealing his pale and beautiful collarbones. He lifted his jaw, his gaze heavy. “Want me.”
