- Chapter 23 - Paranoid Villain (23) Remembering
Before Yan Yi and Lu Yinshen left the Lu family’s ancestral home, they placed the gifts prepared for Old Master Lu in the living room. Yan Yi hoped that, for the sake of these gifts, the old man might calm his anger slightly, lest he actually cause himself some health trouble from the rage.
The two returned to their own home together. Compared to the Lu residence, their own house was far more comfortable and relaxing.
Since the shareholders’ meeting was about to be convened, Lu Yinshen had specially ordered two high-end custom suits. One was deep blue and the other was burgundy. Both were tailored to fit perfectly.
Yan Yi wore the burgundy suit, which accentuated his tall, slender frame and sharp, handsome features. He looked exceptionally dashing. Lu Yinshen was equally striking, and as they stood together, they complemented each other perfectly, looking like a match made in heaven.
The shareholders’ meeting was held on the top floor. Yan Yi had no direct connection to the company, so he did not enter the conference room. Instead, he waited outside for Lu Yinshen, holding a bouquet of roses. From time to time, he lowered his head to check his watch, counting the minutes as he waited.
The shareholders’ meeting would not end quickly. Previously, “Yuli” had been managed by professional managers while Lu Yinshen remained behind the scenes, only reviewing matters of extreme importance. Now that his legs had healed and he could take on more work, he needed to reassure the shareholders. Combined with the many issues that needed addressing, the meeting ran quite long.
After waiting for a long time, Yan Yi finally saw a familiar figure. The deep blue suit made Lu Yinshen appear even more cold and aloof. The straight, long legs encased in black trousers and the firm curve of his hips were provocatively sexy.
Yan Yi shifted his gaze to the man’s legs and observed carefully. Seeing that Lu Yinshen did not tremble and his steps were steady, he felt relieved. He handed the roses to Lu Yinshen, his eyes and brows overflowing with a hazy smile. “President Lu, roses for the beautiful one.”
These were real roses, emitting a faint, delicate fragrance. Lu Yinshen took them, lowered his head to sniff them lightly, and leaned lazily against Yan Yi. “I still need to familiarize myself with the work. Tonight, we shall drink until we are satisfied.”
Thinking of the liquor hidden in the refrigerator, the corners of Yan Yi’s lips curled up as a smile spread. “I am looking forward to it.”
Lu Yinshen familiarized himself with the work for a long time. Having been away for a while, many internal aspects of the company were still somewhat foreign to him. Whether it was the employees or the industries, he had to understand them slowly to make targeted improvements. The time spent on this could not be shortened. Yan Yi stayed by his side the entire time, never leaving, so that Lu Yinshen never had to turn his head far to see him.
By the time they could finish and go home, the sky had turned dark. Streetlights shone, and the crowds on the streets were rushing by. They left the company entrance together and got into the car.
Yan Yi no longer needed to hold Lu Yinshen to help him stabilize his body, but while in the car, he still wrapped his arm around Lu Yinshen’s waist. The touch of this waist was getting better and better, lean and powerful. The muscle lines on Lu Yinshen’s abdomen were also becoming more distinct. They felt a bit firm but were not unpleasant to touch.
The red and blue suits were intimately entangled, blending together until they were indistinguishable. Lu Yinshen half-closed his eyes, allowing the boy to move his hands as he pleased. Driver Zhang, who had long since become accustomed to such sights, parked the car and said, “Sir, Young Master, we have arrived.”
Yan Yi and Lu Yinshen returned home. While at the company, they had ordered takeout to eat, so Yan Yi did not need to cook dinner. Lu Yinshen’s lips quirked up as he lightly blew a breath of air into the boy’s ear. “Tonight, we do not go back until we are drunk.”
Even though Yan Yi knew that his true personality had already been fully discovered by Lu Yinshen, he continued to play his assigned persona. He obediently replied, “Okay.”
The liquor swayed in the glasses. The lights in the room were set to a dim, moody glow. The liquid reflected the light, mirroring the dark glint in Yan Yi’s eyes. His expression remained very obedient, and his voice was soft. “Uncle, is this liquor? I have never drunk it before.”
Yan Yi spoke blatant lies while staring straight at the wine glass, his heart thumping. Lu Yinshen, who could now walk, possessed beautiful, enchanting eyes. His exquisite face mirrored the light from the wine as his tongue lightly brushed his lips. Dressed in his suit, he had shed the cold, self-contained, and calculating aura he held at the shareholders’ meeting. He was like a poisonous rose covered in thorns, blooming to the extreme, decadently beautiful and ruined.
“This is… celebratory wine.”
As his lips parted and closed, a smile played at the corners of his mouth. Lu Yinshen’s pupils were tinted with a terrifying sense of desire. He hooked a finger at the boy, his gaze flowing with emotion. “Xiao Yi, come here.”
Yan Yi knew what he wanted to do but did not stop him. Malicious anticipation boiled within him as he locked his gaze onto the glass in his hand. His Adam’s apple shifted as if he could not wait, yet he still played the role of the innocent, looking confused. “What is it, Uncle?”
“Drink it.” Lu Yinshen’s phoenix eyes were beautiful and glistening, carrying a seductive, fallen allure. The words from his red lips were a forceful command that was impossible to refuse easily.
Their fingers touched, and the heat made the tip of Yan Yi’s heart tremble uncontrollably. He felt a strange thirst, but the swaying liquid in his palm was not a cool spring to quench it; it was a potent aphrodisiac wine. A current of excitement surged through his spine, flowing through every nerve.
Yan Yi could not refuse, nor did he intend to. The liquor flowed down his throat, stimulating his taste buds, and a fire began to burn fiercely in his abdomen. A terrifying flame was ignited within his body. His tolerance for alcohol was not bad, but the ingredients of this glass were not simple.
Lu Yinshen did not drink. He knew his tolerance was poor, and to prevent the situation from spinning out of his control, he would not consume alcohol. The corners of his eyes turned red without being kissed, and he greedily licked Yan Yi’s face. Lu Yinshen’s voice was ear-tingling as he said, “Xiao Yi, go to my room and get something.”
Yan Yi reacted a beat slow. He nodded, his steps still steady, though a very careful observer would see that he was actually swaying slightly.
The bedroom door was pushed open. The surveillance monitor was projecting the scene from Yan Yi’s room. Yan Yi looked dazed as he watched Lu Yinshen, who had followed him in. “Uncle, have you been monitoring me this whole time?”
The speaker below the monitor immediately repeated Yan Yi’s words. Lu Yinshen’s posture was lazy, and his eyelids lifted slightly. “You have known for a long time, have you not? Why pretend?”
Looking at him, Yan Yi felt the air turn even hotter, as if the intense scent of volcanic magma were lingering around his nose. It was startlingly hot. Lu Yinshen pulled his collar into a mess and walked closer step by step. He grabbed the boy’s tie with force, compelling Yan Yi to lower his head.
In the next second, a kiss accompanied by the taste of blood fell upon Yan Yi’s thin lips. Lu Yinshen’s kissing technique had improved significantly, but he did not use it this time. He simply kissed him fiercely and instinctively, his tongue actively hooking and entangling with Yan Yi’s.
Yan Yi passively endured this blood-tinged, fierce kiss. He did not feel pain, only a redness before his eyes, a redness colored by the scent of wine, yet it was far less dazzling and enchanting than the red at the corners of Lu Yinshen’s eyes.
As the kiss ended, his body was thrown heavily onto the bed. He felt cold objects circling and locking around his hands and feet, and even his eyes were covered with a black cloth to hide his gaze.
Deprived of vision, Yan Yi could not see anything, which amplified his sense of smell and touch. Kisses fell upon his chin and the side of his neck. Blood continued to seep out, and these kisses were likewise far from gentle. Teeth marks and lip color encroached upon the skin around Yan Yi’s Adam’s apple.
It grew hotter and hotter, yet Yan Yi could not move. The faint sound of a soft tube bottle being unscrewed rang in his ear, followed closely by a stifled, difficult moan.
Lu Yinshen sat astride him, his eyes a mess of crazy, fierce colors. His grip tightened on the ointment in his hand.
“Yan Yi, did you think I was a plaything you could call for and dismiss at your whim? Since you left, why did you come back? Who are you trying to fool by acting so innocent?”
Tyrannical desire grew wildly. Lu Yinshen’s pathologically fair face flushed with a magnificent, dense red. The fingertip coated in ointment probed downward.
A flash of pain flickered in his eyes, only to be covered by cruel desire a moment later. The air was thick and sticky with heat, the fire burning so hot that a cool spring was nowhere to be found.
Yan Yi felt his Adam’s apple being meticulously licked and kissed. The curtains moved without any wind, their corners rising and falling to reveal a glimpse of the outside world. The moon hung high, and the night was thick and dark, breeding all manner of negative desires. The deep longing in his heart was brighter than the moonlight.
All sensation was concentrated in one place. His neck was being gripped tightly. Lu Yinshen’s voice, tangled with hatred and intense desire, spoke: “Darling, focus.”
His ear was licked, the breath tracing the shape again and again. The fierce, low words made Yan Yi’s heart tremble.
“Darling, tell me. Should I call you obedient nephew? Or… Doctor Yan?”
Yan Yi’s heart shook violently. Beneath the black cloth, his long lashes could not stop trembling.
He had actually remembered everything.
