After Mistaking My Stepsister’s First Love - Chapter 21.2
Only after hearing this did Ye Wenjin let out a sigh of relief.
The two then made their way to the redecorated dining room, where the table was laden with an array of dishes. At a glance, Ye Wenjin was stunned.
“So many dishes… this is way too lavish.”
The long table was completely covered. Thankfully, each portion wasn’t too large, but the plating was exquisite, clearly reflecting the care put into the preparation.
“These were all personally made by Housekeeper Wu. She was so happy today,” one of the maids explained with a smile.
Ye Wenjin was surprised again. “Housekeeper Wu can cook too?”
Jian Mo nodded. “Of course. Aunt Wu is very skilled. You should try more, Xiao Jin.”
Hearing this, Ye Wenjin was instantly filled with anticipation.
Once everyone had arrived, they all took their seats.
The atmosphere during the meal was wonderful lively and warm. The villa no longer felt as desolate as it had the night before.
Gazing at the bustling scene, Ye Wenjin felt a wave of emotion.
Back at the Yin household, there had often been lavish dinners too. Yin Yu and her mother were quite particular about food, so the flavors were always excellent.
But the dining atmosphere there was completely different, it always left her feeling suffocated.
Ye Wenjin had never enjoyed eating with them. The oppressive mood was one thing, but she also often ended up not eating enough because it ruined her appetite.
Here with Jian Mo, however, she felt a warmth and ease she hadn’t experienced in a long time.
It had truly been ages since she’d felt this way.
Ye Wenjin’s mind drifted back, the last time she’d experienced such an atmosphere was before her mothers had divorced.
Back then, she had actually known happiness.
Their family had been harmonious then. Ye Shuyao had still been normal, and they often went on trips together. Every day was filled with laughter, and even small conflicts would quickly pass.
When had it all changed?
It was the night she came home to find her mothers arguing. As she stepped inside, their wedding photo had shattered at her feet.
She had never seen them look so vicious before.
The reason for their fight was that Ye Shuyao had discovered Guan You was having an affair, she had another woman outside, and their child was about to be born.
For Ye Shuyao, this was a devastating blow. In her eyes, Guan You had always treated her exceptionally well, thinking of her in everything. To outsiders, they were a deeply loving couple.
But she could never have imagined that the other woman would show up at their door because her and Guan You’s child was due to be born from the cultivation pod that very day.
Guan You wasn’t home, and Ye Shuyao, in a frenzy, drove the woman away.
It wasn’t until evening that Guan You finally returned.
Coming back so late, ignoring calls and messages, Ye Shuyao understood everything.
Guan You went to the hospital, welcoming their child together with that woman.
The two of them had the most intense and terrifying argument they’d ever experienced.
From then on, the atmosphere at home became very strange. Ye Shuyao was in a daze, often unable to control her temper. Meanwhile, Guan You frequently stayed away from home, and even when he did return, he barely spoke to them.
Two months passed like this before they finally divorced.
Ye Wenjin was taken away by Ye Shuyao, while Guan You got his wish and married that woman.
After that, her misfortune began.
Ye Wenjin had thought that recalling those memories again would bring her pain, but only now did she realize that the anguish and unease had blurred, as if veiled, feeling unreal.
Too much time had passed. Even though she had once felt such suffering, time had slowly healed her.
Perhaps there was another reason.
Her current life was actually quite good.
Ye Wenjin suddenly felt a surge of gratitude. If she hadn’t met Jian Mo and proposed to her, she would likely still be trapped in the quagmire of the Yin family, sinking deeper and deeper until one day she became just like Ye Shuyao.
From this perspective, meeting Jian Mo was her rebirth.
Everyone enjoyed the meal, and Butler Wu even opened a bottle of red wine midway.
In high spirits, Ye Wenjin drank a couple more glasses.
Jian Mo didn’t stop her from drinking but didn’t drink much herself, only taking a few sips.
By the time the meal finally ended, it was almost nine o’clock.
Ye Wenjin felt her thoughts slowing down, but her mind was oddly exhilarated.
She might be a little drunk.
Staring at her wine glass, she gazed at the scant remaining liquid, her thoughts sluggish.
Red wine wasn’t that strong, was it? How could just two glasses make her drunk?
She reached out and poked the glass, making it wobble from side to side, finding it amusing. But then the glass suddenly toppled over. Despite her flustered attempts, she couldn’t save it in time, so she hung her head guiltily.
“I’m sorry…”
Seeing her unusual behavior, Jian Mo sighed helplessly. “It’s fine, it’s not a big deal.”
Butler Wu, watching the scene, chuckled. “Miss Wenjin’s alcohol tolerance isn’t great. I should’ve brought a lower-proof wine.”
Jian Mo’s lips curled slightly. “It’s alright.”
Butler Wu gave a knowing smile before directing the maids to start cleaning up.
Meanwhile, Jian Mo stood and walked over to Ye Wenjin, calling softly, “Xiao Jin.”
Ye Wenjin heard Jian Mo’s voice but took a moment to react. She looked over blankly. “Hmm? What is it, sister?”
Jian Mo chuckled. “Are you dizzy?”
Ye Wenjin carefully assessed herself before nodding honestly. “A little.”
“Can you still walk?”
Ye Wenjin immediately stood up, took a few steps, then turned to look at Jian Mo. “I can walk!”
Jian Mo’s smile deepened. “Good. Let’s go upstairs. You’re drunk.”
Ye Wenjin blinked in confusion, trying to process the words before nodding. “Okay!”
When drunk, Ye Wenjin became even more obedient to Jian Mo’s words.
Her docility was utterly endearing.
Jian Mo held out her hand. “Hold on to me.”
Ye Wenjin immediately reached out, gripping her hand tightly. “Don’t worry, sister, I won’t let you fall!”
Jian Mo hummed leisurely, her smile widening.
The others, still tidying up nearby, discreetly observed the two. When they saw their interaction, each of them wore broad smiles.
“Oh my, watching the two of them interact just makes me laugh uncontrollably.”
Steward Wu also wore a pleased expression, already thinking about what nourishing dishes to prepare tomorrow morning.
After all, they’ll be exhausted all night, they’ll definitely need some replenishment, right?
Ye Wenjin had no idea what kind of blush-inducing thoughts Housekeeper Wu was entertaining. At the moment, she was carefully leading Jian Mo upstairs, making sure each step was steady before letting Jian Mo follow.
Jian Mo didn’t mind her slow pace, watching her efforts with an amused smile.
A mere three flights of stairs took them several minutes to climb.
As the alcohol gradually took effect, Ye Wenjin felt as though she were treading on clouds, her mind hazy and unsteady.
“Jiejie… I think… I’m stepping on clouds?”
Jian Mo glanced at the ground and patiently replied, “No, it’s the floor. You’re drunk, Xiao Jin.”
Ye Wenjin frowned thoughtfully. “I… am drunk?”
Jian Mo hummed in agreement, surprised that red wine with just over 10% alcohol could leave Ye Wenjin this intoxicated.
But drunk Ye Wenjin was even more adorable.
With that thought, Jian Mo simply took her hand and led her forward.
Ye Wenjin obediently followed, step by step, until they entered a room. Then, she felt something brush against her face. Upon closer inspection, the objects looked familiar.
It took Ye Wenjin a long moment to realize she had seen these decorations earlier that afternoon because she had helped put them up.
But, hadn’t they been decorating a different room?
And this room…
“Jiejie… this doesn’t seem like my room…”
Ye Wenjin was confused.
Jian Mo curled her lips. “Mm, it’s my room.”
Ye Wenjin tried to process this, and then her face and ears slowly turned red, as if struck by some overwhelming realization.
Watching her reaction, Jian Mo raised a brow. “Xiao Jin, what are you thinking about?”
The question made Ye Wenjin’s face flush even deeper.
“I… n-nothing…”
Her evasive gaze made it obvious she was thinking plenty.
Jian Mo didn’t believe her. “Oh? Really?”
Too embarrassed to meet her eyes, Ye Wenjin kept looking away.
But Jian Mo didn’t let her escape, gently tilting her chin up with a finger.
Ye Wenjin didn’t resist, lifting her head at the touch, though her embarrassment remained intense.
Even with her slowed thoughts, Ye Wenjin’s subconscious knew what a challenge it was to be alone with Jian Mo especially in her room.
She squeezed her eyes shut, but her lashes trembled uncontrollably.
Jian Mo chuckled softly. “Xiao Jin, won’t you look at me?”
Ye Wenjin hesitated, torn, but after a pause, she reluctantly opened her eyes.
She could never refuse Jian Mo.
But the moment she met Jian Mo’s deep, mesmerizing gaze, Ye Wenjin froze.
Those eyes seemed to hold a magnetic pull, drawing her in, luring her to drown in them.
A faint scent of winter plum blossoms drifted into her senses. Already dizzy, the fragrance made Ye Wenjin’s head spin even more.
After a long moment, she suddenly realized this was Jian Mo’s pheromones.
Had her pheromones gone out of control again? Or had the suppressant patch failed?
She had just applied a new one that afternoon. It hadn’t even been a few hours, could it have worn off already?
Or was Jiejie experiencing another hormonal imbalance?
Her muddled thoughts swirled until she slurred, “Jiejie, your pheromones they’re leaking.”
Jian Mo smiled, her voice low. “Yes, they’ve escaped again. Xiao Jin, do you remember what the doctor said?”
Ye Wenjin tried hard to recall, but her sluggish mind couldn’t grasp the memory just yet.
Jian Mo didn’t rush her, patiently waiting for her to recall.
After a long while, Ye Wenjin finally remembered, “The doctor said… we need to help each other regulate… pheromones.”
“Xiao Jin has such a good memory. So, what should we do now?”
Her tone was laced with coaxing.
However, Ye Wenjin didn’t notice it at all, only feeling that Jian Mo was right this was the doctor’s order, and they had to follow it.
Besides, her sister always suffered terribly during her episodes. If she could help regulate her pheromones often, maybe it would ease her pain? Then her sister would feel much better.
Thinking this, Ye Wenjin’s gaze gradually grew determined. “I’ll help sister regulate!”
Jian Mo smiled in delight. “Mm, Xiao Jin is so good.”
Being affirmed by her sister, Ye Wenjin was filled with motivation. The scent of rosemary suddenly surged forth, wantonly filling the entire bedroom.
This room belonged to Jian Mo, so it was inevitably infused with her scent.
Thus, the moment the rosemary appeared, it occupied every corner of the room, wherever Jian Mo’s presence lingered.
Especially the bed, where Jian Mo’s scent was strongest so the rosemary eagerly clung to it.
Once everything was tinged with the fragrance of rosemary, even more pheromones surged toward Jian Mo.
In the blink of an eye, Jian Mo’s body was enveloped by a flood of pheromones. They probed tentatively, brushing against her skin again and again.
Then they found their favorite spot.
The gland at the back of Jian Mo’s neck.
That area was smooth and bare, the suppressant patch had long been peeled off, making it all the easier for the rosemary to invade.
The pheromones danced joyfully toward the gland, sometimes lightly licking, sometimes gently caressing, sometimes mischievously burrowing deeper.
For an Omega, the gland was an extremely sensitive place. Even Jian Mo couldn’t suppress a slight tremble.
Soft moans escaped her lips, sounding both pleasured and pained.
Ye Wenjin’s mind was hazy, but when she heard Jian Mo’s voice, she instinctively stopped and quickly asked, “Sister? Did I hurt you?”
Instead, Jian Mo grabbed her hand, pressing a light kiss to it before nuzzling her palm. Her eyes were glistening, shimmering with fragmented light. “It doesn’t hurt, it feels good. Xiao Jin, don’t stop.”
Ye Wenjin swallowed unconsciously and obediently channeled her pheromones, soothing the gland at the back of Jian Mo’s neck.
Under the repeated caresses, the small gland gradually swelled, drawing out even more of the cold plum fragrance.
Ye Wenjin didn’t need any guidance, she instinctively let her pheromones intertwine with the cold plum scent, probing deeper.
Drenched in the overwhelming fragrance of cold plum, Ye Wenjin grew even dizzier. But she still remembered her purpose was to help regulate Jian Mo’s pheromones.
So she forced herself to focus, slowly guiding the disordered pheromones into order.
This was a sensation Jian Mo had never experienced before. Whenever her symptoms flared, she had always relied on suppressants to forcefully suppress them. She had never known what it felt like to be regulated by someone else.
It was incredibly pleasurable, as if everything inside her was falling into perfect harmony.
Of course, if it weren’t Ye Wenjin, she would rather use suppressants.
Jian Mo sighed in contentment, savoring the sensation of Ye Wenjin’s pheromones flowing through her.
On the other hand, Ye Wenjin, due to sheer nervousness managed to stay somewhat awake despite the intoxicating lure of the cold plum fragrance, terrified that Jian Mo might feel even the slightest discomfort.
Fortunately, by the end of the first round of guidance, Ye Wenjin noticed that Jian Mo’s complexion had become rosy, proving that her efforts had been effective.
Ye Wenjin relaxed slightly, and her previously clear gaze grew hazy once more.
It was important to note that her pheromone compatibility with Jian Mo was exceptionally high. Under the all-encompassing influence of the other’s scent, it had already been difficult for Ye Wenjin to maintain even a shred of clarity earlier. Now, as she let her guard down, she became acutely aware of the strange sensations coursing through her body.
“Big sister…”
Her lips parted unconsciously, her eyes glazed over, yet her expression carried a hint of confusion and grievance.
Jian Mo reached out and gently caressed her face. “Xiao Jin, do you want to kiss me?”
Ye Wenjin’s face slowly flushed, but she answered honestly, “Yes, sister… Can I kiss you?”
Jian Mo chuckled softly. “Of course you can.”
With that, the pheromones in the room surged violently, intertwining inseparably, and the atmosphere grew scorching in an instant.
Their lips met tentatively at first, exploring the kiss, until Ye Wenjin was no longer satisfied with mere soft pecks.
Instinctively, she reached out to cradle the back of Jian Mo’s head, pulling them even closer, nearly melding into one, before deepening the kiss.
As their pheromones tangled more fiercely, Ye Wenjin gradually found her rhythm, soothing Jian Mo on instinct. Yet her own scent enveloped the other woman domineeringly, as if trying to saturate every inch of Jian Mo with her own essence.
Wrapped in such an intense pheromone haze, Jian Mo was practically marinated in it.
Ye Wenjin, too, was no exception her body now carried the cool fragrance that belonged solely to Jian Mo.
As their breaths mingled, the temperature around them steadily rose.
At one point, as Ye Wenjin gazed down at the woman beneath her Jian Mo, utterly undone by desire, so unlike her usual self her eyes filled with infatuation.
In this moment, Jian Mo was breathtakingly beautiful, and it made Ye Wenjin’s heart race uncontrollably.
Lost in passion, Ye Wenjin left mark after mark on Jian Mo’s skin. Then, her gaze lingered on the gland at the nape of Jian Mo’s neck, her eyes brimming with conflict.
That gland held an irresistible allure for her. Every time she saw it, her teeth itched with the urge to sink in, yet the last remnants of reason warned her against it.
Just as she wrestled with herself, Jian Mo pressed a soft kiss to her lips and whispered, “Xiao Jin, mark me.”
With permission granted, it was as if Ye Wenjin had been freed from shackles. She bit down on that small protrusion, injecting her pheromones though it remained only a temporary mark.
When it was over, Ye Wenjin kissed Jian Mo tenderly, soothing her emotions before pulling her into an embrace. She fell asleep contentedly, as if cradling a priceless treasure.
No, not as if. Jian Mo was her treasure.
