- Chapter 14 - Sister, then I’ll have to be presumptuous
The room was dimly lit, as Jian Mo had only turned on the lamp by the desk, casting limited illumination.
However, this did not hinder Ye Wenjin’s vision. She could clearly see the expression on Jian Mo’s face.
Unlike her usual gentle and composed demeanor, Jian Mo now looked visibly distressed, yet her eyes carried an aggressive edge, her entire body bristling with thorns as if to ward off anyone who dared approach.
But despite her guarded and unapproachable expression, the pheromones filling the air betrayed her true state.
Ye Wenjin could sense the other woman’s pheromones continuously surging toward her, and upon contact, those sharp thorns seemed to soften into tender tendrils.
An unmistakable invitation.
Ye Wenjin’s body gradually stiffened, a mix of awkwardness and tension tightening her features, her expression tinged with restraint.
Their pheromone compatibility was too high, so high that deliberate seduction wasn’t even necessary. Merely catching a whiff of each other’s scent was enough to provoke a physical reaction.
Yet, at this moment, Ye Wenjin was grateful for their high compatibility.
Perhaps it was precisely because of this that Jian Mo hadn’t shown strong rejection when she entered the room. Even though her expression was guarded, her pheromones were unmistakably welcoming.
There was just one problem Ye Wenjin had rushed in too hastily and forgotten to administer a suppressant beforehand.
Now, enveloped entirely by Jian Mo’s pheromones, she couldn’t help but feel a rising heat coursing through her body.
This made Ye Wenjin too afraid to take even a single step forward, lest her self-control crumble on the spot.
But staying put wasn’t an option either. As she wrestled with her desires, she faintly heard Jian Mo’s soft, shuddering inhale, a clear sign that the other woman was already struggling to endure.
Ye Wenjin bit down hard on the tip of her tongue, the metallic tang of blood sharpening her focus.
Tentatively, she took a step forward, then paused, anxiously observing Jian Mo’s reaction, afraid of triggering her further.
Jian Mo’s eyes flickered slightly as she steadied herself, then parted her lips slightly and spoke in a hoarse voice, “Xiao Jin, come here.”
Aside from being raspier than usual, her tone sounded relatively normal.
Seeing that Jian Mo seemed capable of maintaining her composure, Ye Wenjin felt a surge of relief and slowly walked toward her.
Though it was only a few steps, the distance felt agonizingly long, each movement an excruciating effort.
Not long ago, the two had been intimately close Ye Wenjin had even given Jian Mo a temporary mark. Though that mark had since faded, it didn’t stop their pheromones from erupting with fervent intensity upon reuniting.
As a result, both wore expressions of barely restrained torment, every second a test of endurance.
The difference was that Ye Wenjin was struggling to suppress the desires stirred by Jian Mo’s pheromones.
She didn’t want to do anything to Jian Mo in a state of loss, so she fought to hold back, even as beads of sweat formed on her forehead, her mind clinging to clarity.
One step, two steps she finally reached Jian Mo, taking a controlled breath before saying, “Sister, I… I came to bring suppressants.”
Jian Mo didn’t respond, only staring at her intently.
Ye Wenjin couldn’t quite decipher the look in her eyes, but it only made her more nervous.
In that moment, their roles seemed reversed.
After what felt like an eternity, Jian Mo finally spoke slowly, “Help me inject it.”
Ye Wenjin immediately realized that she must be running out of strength, so she quickly obeyed and took out a dose of suppressant, carefully disinfecting the spot on her arm where the injection would go.
But just as she was about to press the needle in, she hesitated, her hand trembling slightly.
“What’s wrong?”
Ye Wenjin struggled to speak. “Sis, your… pheromones…”
She could barely hold back. From the moment she entered the room, Jian Mo’s pheromones had clung to her, every movement filled with temptation.
It was as if countless voices were whispering in her ear, “Don’t hold back, come and mark me.”
And this feeling grew even stronger when she was about to administer the suppressant to Jian Mo.
Ye Wenjin couldn’t help but glance repeatedly at the nape of Jian Mo’s neck. No matter how hard she tried to resist, the scent of winter plum kept slipping into her nostrils, pressing insistently against the scent gland at the back of her neck, trying to draw out more of her own pheromones.
Because of this, her grip on the suppressant was unsteady. She didn’t dare imagine what might happen if she tried to inject it in this state.
Ye Wenjin was a little scared.
Even after enduring the torment of chaotic pheromones for so long, her eyes reddened with discomfort and her rationality slowly eroding, Jian Mo still noticed Ye Wenjin’s hesitation.
So when Ye Wenjin stood there at a loss, desperately trying to calm herself, Jian Mo reached out and cupped her face, pulling her attention back.
“Xiao Jin, release your pheromones to soothe me.”
Ye Wenjin wanted to say she didn’t know how, but the situation left no room for refusal.
Gritting her teeth, she actively released more of her pheromones, slowly enveloping Jian Mo’s restless ones before tentatively settling over her scent gland.
For a brief moment, Ye Wenjin sensed resistance, but it quickly faded, replaced by acceptance. Encouraged, she carefully continued the motion.
The agitated pheromones in the air finally eased somewhat. Ye Wenjin let out a sharp breath of relief and seized the chance to inject the suppressant into Jian Mo.
She heard Jian Mo’s muffled groan and panicked for a second but steadied herself. Only after the injection was complete did she finally look up at Jian Mo.
The pained expression was gradually softening she was calming down. Yet the pheromones in the air remained active, stubbornly refusing to recede.
Ye Wenjin was bewildered. “Sis?”
Jian Mo hummed in response and took hold of the hand that had just administered the suppressant.
“The pheromone imbalance has some aftereffects. Xiao Jin, give me a temporary mark.”
Ye Wenjin’s face flushed instantly. “T-temporary mark? M-me?”
Jian Mo nodded. “Of course you. Unless… you don’t want to?”
As she spoke, her lashes lowered slightly, making her look inexplicably pitiful.
Ye Wenjin’s mind went blank with impulsiveness. “I do! Of course I do, sis. Don’t be upset.”
Jian Mo lifted her head and smiled faintly. “Mm, I knew you’d agree.”
With that, she swept her long hair over her shoulder, exposing the pale nape of her neck.
Caught off guard by the sight of the scent gland, Ye Wenjin froze for a moment before suddenly realizing, she had just agreed to give Jian Mo a temporary mark.
Looking at Jian Mo, who was already prepared, Ye Wenjin swallowed hard, feeling extremely nervous and frozen in place, unsure of what to do.
Yet, seeing her hesitation, Jian Mo gently urged her again.
“Xiao Jin?”
Ye Wenjin suddenly snapped back to reality and quickly replied, “I’m here! I…”
She closed her eyes for a moment before abruptly opening them again, whispering, “Sister, then I’ll be bold.”
Then, she slowly leaned closer to that fair neck, locating the gland that exuded the fragrance of winter plum, and gently bit down.
Instantly, the scent of winter plum filled her nose and lips. The overwhelming proximity left Ye Wenjin dazed for a moment before she suddenly remembered her purpose.
Snapping back to attention, she carefully infused her own pheromones into the fragile gland.
The sensation was so intoxicating that Ye Wenjin unconsciously lost herself in it until she heard Jian Mo’s soft moan, a mix of pain and pleasure. Only then did she jolt awake and hurriedly released her bite.
A ring of teeth marks now adorned the fair nape, and the gland had turned slightly red and swollen.
It was undeniably intimate to the extreme.
