- Chapter 70 - The Queen’s Affair (Side Story, proceed with caution)
The instant the black cloth was pulled over her eyes, Jin Yunhan stumbled forward, collapsing into the arms of a woman.
“You finally came.”
The room was dim, the air thick with the cloying sweetness of violets mingled with the sharp burn of alcohol. The scent burrowed into her senses, making her glands burn.
Mist hung heavy, laced with an aphrodisiac powder that spread through the haze.
“Go. Put it on her.”
“As you command, Your Majesty.”
An Alpha with wheat-colored skin, handsome features, and earnest eyes bowed deeply as she carried out the Queen’s orders, chains clinking in her hands.
A chill tightened around Jin Yunhan’s ankles as shackles snapped into place, and the next moment she was thrown onto Lin Ruxi’s bed.
It was a king-sized expanse, three meters wide—large enough for four people.
She reached out instinctively, groping in the dark, but the chain dragged her down, leaving her weak and boneless. A sudden searing kiss pressed to the back of her neck. A curvaceous body molded tightly against hers, every curve and hollow in perfect alignment.
“Still trying to run?” A drunken murmur brushed against her ear, teeth grazing the sensitive spot over her glands.
“Yunxi… every time she calls you Ah Yun, do you know how much I despise it?”
A wet kiss burned against the curve of her neck. Jin Yunhan’s whole body stiffened. That voice—how could it sound so much like the Queen?
She opened her mouth, only for soft lips to smother her words, rain-like kisses falling without warning.
Jin Yunhan instinctively turned her head to escape.
“Little A—come here.”
The obedient Alpha seized Yunhan by the nape, forcing her lips back against the Queen’s. “Rip—” Her high ponytail came undone, loose curls tumbling down, caught between Lin Ruxi’s violet-tipped nails.
The blindfold blocked out all sight, amplifying every touch.
Ruxi’s tongue, tinged with the tartness of red wine, pried past Yunhan’s teeth, her Omega pheromones surging like wildfire.
Yunhan’s nails dug hard into her palms. Her S-class Alpha instincts screamed, but the SS-class Omega’s pheromones spread like an invisible net, gnawing away at her rationality.
The chain tightened, her chin tilted up by a commanding hand.
Fingers pressed at the back of her neck, caressing her unused, trembling glands. Ruxi’s laugh was low and triumphant. “And who was it that once said she felt nothing for Omegas? Nothing for me?”
The rich SS-class pheromones thickened in the sealed room, weaving a suffocating snare.
Heat pounded through Yunhan’s veins, rushing to her glands.
The Queen’s breath licked at her flushed ear. “You swore you only liked Betas. Lied to me once—you deserve punishment.”
A sharp slap landed on her hip. Yunhan struggled, muffled sounds spilling from her lips. Yunxi-jie… please, save me.
But there was nowhere to run. No one to call.
“You claimed you liked Omegas. Then you’ll accept my punishment.”
Another crack of palm on flesh. “This too deserves punishment.”
“But worst of all—after I forced Wei Ailun out of power, you promised me children. And yet… where were you?”
The third strike left her numb.
“Still pretending to be above it all?” Scorching lips skimmed her throat as deft fingers began tugging her blouse open. “You know, aside from Little A, I’ve never let anyone touch me. Do you despise me so much?”
Jin Yunhan’s mind flashed back to that blinding night of camera flashes—Ruxi in an off-shoulder gown, and herself reaching out during the dance exchange, steadying the Queen’s swaying waist… only to have her hand brushed off with a cold murmur: ‘Little one, you’re not your sister.’
The Queen had known the truth. If she revealed it now, Yunhan would be ruined. Yet strength abandoned her body, wrapped in violet haze.
A loud thud!
The pheromone concentration spiked. Yunhan’s knees crashed into the carpet.
Ruxi’s skirts swept over her thighs as she leaned close, her breath laced with seduction. “Call my name… like you call hers.”
“Your Majesty…” Yunhan’s trembling reply slipped out, and in that moment she realized—the haze in the room was spiked, the same way she herself had once drugged Yan Qingruo.
Retribution.
This was her punishment, the price for her past sins. She would bear it—for her sister’s sake.
“Call me Ruxi.” Lips trailed down her collarbone. Yunhan shivered.
The Queen straddled her thighs, silk skirts brushing as she moved, hips pressing in faint, teasing friction. When that warm tongue invaded her mouth again, Yunhan arched her back—not in rejection this time, but in terror at how easily she might drown in the violet intoxication.
“If you find me so distasteful, then this time… why don’t we make it three?” The Queen’s laughter curled around her as she beckoned Little A forward.

The next morning, sunlight pierced the curtains, dispersing the mist.
Lin Ruxi curled her alabaster toes, silk sheets sliding from her shoulders. Two overlapping bite marks still burned at her nape.
Her fingers traced the bruises at her waist, recalling the hand that had gripped her wrist in the dark—rougher, clumsier than Jin Yunxi’s touch.
Whether it was marking or penetration, everything had been awkward, inexperienced. Unlike Little A’s practiced care, but… achingly genuine.
Yet… wasn’t Jin Yunxi no novice?
The lingering mark of a true bond sent an unfamiliar dependency coiling in her veins.
Her drowsy thoughts circled one point—
Did I… get Yunxi? Was it really her last night?
The Alpha’s resistance at the door, the scent of lemon-mint… It had felt just like her.
But Yunxi marking her, taking such initiative—no, that didn’t fit.
Both Alphas had slipped away by dawn. And for the first time in her reign, Ruxi felt embarrassed—treated like a sweet filling pressed between two Alphas, all at her own command.
She bit her lip, remembering the mingled musk of wheat and pale glands, entering her together. Shameful, yes… but exhilarating.
And oh, so intoxicating.
Her hand drifted to her lower belly, still heavy with the fullness they’d left inside. She hadn’t made “Yunxi” use protection.
Two scents flared at her nape—one, Little A’s ocean musk, the other, a sharp lemon-mint that bit like youth. One was a shallow mark. The other… a deep one.
Her chest seized. Yunxi’s pheromone—wasn’t it different?
Back at the homecoming banquet, she’d nearly tripped mid-dance, and a girl’s arms had wrapped tightly around her waist.
That scent—lemon and mint.
Ruxi clenched her teeth. Jin Yunhan!

Hot water cascaded down, rinsing over red marks and scratches. Droplets trailed from the bite at her nape.
Yunhan shut her eyes, letting the stream run over her—but nothing could wash away the deep violet pheromone seared into her skin, into her glands.
Ruxi’s scent. Only hers.
Was I the first to discover the Queen wasn’t an Alpha… but an Omega?
“Yun…” A phantom whisper threaded through the steam.
She buried her face in the crook of her arm, scalding water failing to erase the memory of soft lips, of teeth at her collarbone. Her fingers drifted, almost involuntarily, over her abdomen, where warmth still lingered, a shameful echo of pleasure.
The reflection in the glass stared back at her, eyes rimmed red, pupils still hazy with lust. A slap in the face.
She staggered out, desperate to find Yunxi. But on the way, she passed a giant billboard flashing Lin Ruxi’s portrait—stunning, mature, commanding as a queen, predatory as a panther. Her throat tightened, and she turned her head away.
In the kitchen, Jin Yunxi stood in an apron, ladling out pumpkin porridge. Beside her, Yan Qingruo cupped her chin, eyes sparkling.
“Ah Yun, is it sweet? I made pumpkin porridge for you.”
“No.” Yunxi feigned a frown.
Her lover pouted, until Yunxi’s lips brushed hers softly. “Not sweet—because my wife’s lips are sweeter.”
Qingruo glared, feigning annoyance. But her heart was full to bursting, sweetness spilling over. She hooked her arms around Yunxi’s neck, pressing closer, demanding more kisses.
Just as things deepened—
“Jie!” Yunhan burst in, staggering, so frantic even Ivy couldn’t stop her.
“Who let you barge in?” Yunxi set down her spoon, her mood snapping instantly. For her sister to rush here so recklessly—it was rare indeed.
Being interrupted mid-intimacy left her annoyed.
But Yunhan rushed forward, grabbing desperately at her sleeve. “Jie, can you… send me abroad?”
Please, you can’t abandon me. Everything I’ve suffered—it’s all because of you.
