- Chapter 105 - Extra Chapter 3: Post-Wedding Daily Life (Part 2)
At night, hellfire burned softly.
Qiu Fuxue leaned in Jiufang Cangze’s arms, flipping through the official documents he hadn’t finished during the day.
Black Ball held a new toy in its mouth and pushed the door open. It trotted to its bed and put the toy away.
Its large body had chosen the largest corner of the bedchamber as its bed, but it was quickly filled with all sorts of new and strange toys from the demon realm.
The once vast and empty bedchamber now had a much more lively atmosphere.
Besides Black Ball’s things, there were also cabinets and hangers that Qiu Fuxue had moved in for his clothes. A table and a large bronze mirror were added to the simple window side.
Tired from reading documents, Qiu Fuxue looked up and found Jiufang Cangze holding a book, a slight smile on his lips.
What book could be so amusing?
Qiu Fuxue narrowed his eyes, snatched it away, and flipped to the cover. It had a few large characters: “Overbearing Demon Lord’s Fierce Doting.”
Qiu Fuxue: “…”
“Have you finished your work? Why do you have time for such frivolous books?”
Jiufang Cangze smiled and begged for mercy. “A-Xue, you know I love reading novels…”
Perhaps it was his nature, but he was very interested in the popular human novels. He would buy two copies of almost every new one that came out—one to read and one for his collection.
Qiu Fuxue flipped through a few pages. The content made his cheeks flush. He threw the book onto the bed in a fit of anger. “This is inappropriate! The novels you used to read weren’t like this!”
Jiufang Cangze quickly scrambled to retrieve his treasure. “That new bookstore only got popular because of this book. I couldn’t even get my hands on a second copy.”
Qiu Fuxue sat on the bed, sulking. He didn’t mind Jiufang Cangze reading novels, but why was the main character in the book so clearly based on him?!
And the way it was written…
“I wish more people could read our story,” Jiufang Cangze said, hugging the pouting bundle of jealousy. He kissed his cheek. “That way, everyone will know that A-Xue loves me.”
Qiu Fuxue refuted, “I’m not like what’s written in there…!”
Jiufang Cangze naturally pushed the other man down and chuckled softly. “A-Xue, I’ve learned a lot of new things from this book. Would you like to try them?”
With that, he lowered the bed curtains and set up a barrier to prevent a certain fat dog from interrupting.
Qiu Fuxue was about to refuse, thinking the man had no good intentions. But when he met those eager eyes, his heart softened.
Sigh, fine, I’ll try it.
He sighed and wrapped his arms around the other’s neck, offering his lips.
“Mmm…”
…
After many days of investigation, Qiu Fuxue found the bookstore where Jiufang Cangze bought his novels.
He then took soldiers and went to the store.
But they had hidden everything very well, and they couldn’t find a thing.
So, for the second time, he came to the bookstore alone. He used some shady methods and held the owner down, threatening him.
“Hand over all your stuff!”
He looked just like a bandit robbing a store.
The owner looked at the sharp sword in front of him and swallowed. He poured out all his stock and was about to cry. “Immortal Lord, we didn’t write the content in the books. We’re just responsible for selling them…”
Qiu Fuxue looked at the author’s name on the book cover, “Feng Xiaoxiao.” He said coldly, “Who is this Feng Xiaoxiao?”
The bookstore owner pursed his lips and refused to speak. “Not revealing the author’s personal information is our bottom line! Immortal Lord, why don’t you just kill me!”
No matter how much Qiu Fuxue threatened him afterward, he still refused to reveal the author’s true identity. He couldn’t just kill him. Thinking that he had confiscated all the stock, he stopped worrying about it.
Until half a month later, he found the second volume of “Overbearing Demon Lord’s Fierce Doting” on his pillow.
“…”
He had to catch that vile author!
After staking out the bookstore for several nights, Qiu Fuxue finally caught the owner meeting a man in black in an alley.
The man in black looked around and then handed a stack of papers to the owner. The owner didn’t even look and tucked them into his shirt. He whispered, “Be careful. Things are getting heated lately. The authorities have been here a few times.”
The man in black intentionally lowered his voice. “They can’t catch me. But for the third volume, print fewer copies and sell them in batches to reduce the risk.”
“Okay!”
After the owner left, the man in black waited for a long time to leave the alley and flew onto the rooftops to lower suspicion.
This person not only knew martial arts but also some magic.
Qiu Fuxue hid himself. He couldn’t sense the other’s aura, so the other person must have also taken measures to conceal his presence.
To figure out his true identity, Qiu Fuxue followed him all the way until he watched the person enter the demon-immortal barrier.
He punched the wall. He knew a mortal wouldn’t have such courage! So he’s a demon!
Once inside the demon realm, Qiu Fuxue’s spiritual energy would be too obvious. To be cautious, he didn’t follow in person. He summoned his sword spirit and sent it to do the job.
The next morning, the sword spirit returned. It chattered in his ear, reporting everything it had seen.
A fierce look flashed in his pale red, peach blossom-like eyes. “So it was him…”
…
Lun Ling would occasionally run off to go on dates with Xu Wan. When he was gone, Xiao Chang had to deliver the official documents to the Demon Lord’s bedchamber.
After knocking and hearing a response, he found Qiu Fuxue sitting at the desk instead of Jiufang Cangze.
This was not an unusual sight. He paid his respects, set the documents down, and was about to leave when the door suddenly slammed shut.
Qiu Fuxue stood up. Each step he took was full of pressure. “Xiao Chang, do you know that your Lord has been obsessed with human novels lately?”
Why is he suddenly bringing this up? Xiao Chang suddenly had a bad feeling. He could only force himself to stay calm. “It’s just the Lord’s hobby…”
“Hmph.” Qiu Fuxue sneered. “I don’t care much about his hobbies, but there are always people with bad intentions who lead him astray.”
With that, he threw the novel Jiufang Cangze had been reading last night onto the table with a loud smack. His voice was grim. “Isn’t that right, Feng Xiaoxiao?”
Xiao Chang slapped his hand over his face. My cover is blown. It’s over… it’s all over…
“…Sect Leader Qiu, please let me explain. The matter is not what you think… really…”
He gave a bunch of useless explanations.
Qiu Fuxue coldly scoffed. “Don’t explain. I’ll give you two choices: either become a ghost under my sword, or…”
“I choose the second one!”
Under the threats and inducements of Immortal Lord Fuxue, the publication of the third volume of “Overbearing Demon Lord’s Fierce Doting” was delayed by a month. The previous content was completely scrapped and rewritten.
On the day the new book was published, Jiufang Cangze finally managed to get a copy. He went home and read a couple of chapters. He rubbed his chin, feeling that something was off.
Did the author change their style?
With a belly full of doubt, he flipped to the climax.
Half a minute later, he shot up, his expression as if he had been poisoned. His hands trembled in disbelief.
“How did I become the one on the bottom—?!!”
