After Getting Married to My Obsessive Older Sister - Chapter 40.2
Chapter 40.2
“Xiao Qiao.”
Chu Yiqiao reached the dorm door, only to be suddenly called back by Pei Ding.
She turned around and saw Pei Ding looking at her with a mournful expression, asking: “Are you dating?”
“Yes,” Chu Yiqiao admitted directly.
Pei Ding’s expression at that moment could be described as “heartbroken.”
Chu Yiqiao wouldn’t have understood that expression before. Her knowledge had expanded considerably since she started dating. She belatedly recalled what Su Yu had once said, and she froze, realizing the truth of the matter was almost certain.
Chu Yiqiao anxiously wanted to escape the small, square room. Finally, Pei Ding stopped her with one last question.
“Xiao Qiao, the person you’re dating… is it your sister?”
Chu Yiqiao’s eyes widened. She could tell that?!
She nodded, seeing no need to deny it.
Pei Ding: “I wish you…”
She probably meant to say I wish you happiness, but after saying the first two words, her eyes fell on the bracelet on Chu Yiqiao’s wrist, and she stopped. The last two words were forcibly swallowed back.
But Chu Yiqiao had heard enough. She smiled and replied: “Thank you.”
Walking out of the dorm and strolling in the drizzling rain, Chu Yiqiao’s heart was beating incredibly fast. Did Pei Ding feel that way?
Does she like me?
Seriously?
Should I apologize when I reject someone?
It’s so complicated.
It wasn’t until her sketching class in the afternoon that Chu Yiqiao made up her mind. She took out her phone and opened her WeChat chat with Pei Ding.
I’m sorry. Thank you.
Pei Ding’s reply was still fast.
22 Computer Science Pei Ding: It’s nothing. I’m the one who should thank you for helping me so much. I know you treated me to meals so often in freshman year because of me, and that extra 10,000 yuan you charged for electricity wasn’t a real mistake.
A lot of text came across. Chu Yiqiao scanned it quickly, stunned, as if she were reading about someone else’s life.
The difference in perception of the same event between two people could be so vast.
What should I do? It really was a mistake.
Chu Yiqiao sent many more thank you messages.
22 Computer Science Pei Ding: I hope we can still be friends.
Mm-hmm.
Chu Yiqiao suddenly felt so awful. Pei Ding’s feelings for her were based entirely on a misunderstanding. It wasn’t intentional on her part, but for some reason, she was burdened with a sincere heart.
Oh, dear. Chu Yiqiao felt a bit nostalgic for the days when she was completely unconnected to the word “love.”
Fortunately, this gloomy state didn’t last long. As soon as the sketching class ended, Chu Yiqiao was called away by Professor Kong, who suddenly appeared at the door.
Wan Xianyi was also there. Due to what Chu Yiqiao had said last time, their eyes met and there was still some awkwardness.
But Professor Kong seemed very excited. She put her arms around both of their shoulders and announced the news right there in the hallway, without even waiting to get to the office.
Grand Prize. The auction would be held in the middle of this month.
The day’s low mood was completely swept away by the good news. Chu Yiqiao was ecstatic. She didn’t hear a word of what Professor Kong said afterward, smiling widely with joy.
Wan Xianyi listened with her head down. When the word “auction” came up, she glanced sideways at Chu Yiqiao. She recalled some gossip she had recently seen and wanted to remind Chu Yiqiao, but she changed her mind and stayed silent, watching Chu Yiqiao skip away.
When school ended in the afternoon, the rain had eased slightly, swaying diagonally with the breeze.
Chu Yiqiao passed a flower shop. The owner was bending down, moving baskets of bouquets back into the store. Chu Yiqiao’s entire attention was captured by a small bunch of baby’s breath. The light blue petals were wet with rain, and a faint fragrance filled the air.
Chu Yiqiao’s heart stirred. She stood under the shop’s eaves, holding her umbrella.
The owner came out and started: “Do you want to buy flowers? They’re suitable for…”
Before she could finish her sales pitch, she was interrupted by a cheerful reply.
“Yes!”
Looking up, the young girl in front of her had burning eyes, filled with the passion of giving a gift for the first time.
Chu Yiqiao bought a bouquet of baby’s breath. Walking out of the shop, she felt it wasn’t romantic enough and added a single white rose.
This is a surprise. This is a gift. Chu Yiqiao was glad she had carried her bag today. She carefully hid the flowers inside and trotted toward the main gate in the rain.
Chu Yiqiao’s heart was beating so fast she could barely walk straight. She had bought many flowers before, but only for decoration. Buying flowers specifically as a gift of love for someone was a first in her 20-plus years.
Her mind was completely scattered. All her thoughts were focused on this small bouquet of baby’s breath and the single white rose.
Finally, the familiar car appeared in her sight. The window next to the driver’s seat was half-open. Tan Ze rested one hand on the steering wheel, looking down at her phone.
The branch project was progressing smoothly. Tan Ze’s workload had decreased significantly after the launch. Although she still had to work overtime occasionally, there were several days a week when she could leave work early, pick up Chu Yiqiao, and go straight home instead of the office.
Zhao Jingxing had scheduled a meeting with Si Yueshan today. Tan Ze was reviewing the preliminary proposal sent by Zhao Jingxing in the chat box, reading and deleting each point. She didn’t send any messages during this time.
Finally, in the last message, the other side sent a photo. Tan Ze clicked on it. It was a ring design. This was the tenth one Zhao Jingxing had sent, and Tan Ze was still not satisfied.
Tan Ze: Too tacky.
Zhao Jingxing decided to use the “read but don’t reply” tactic on her boss.
She is truly impossible to please.
It was either too plain, too tacky, too complex, too simple, too ugly, too showy, or too unsuitable for Chu Yiqiao…
The dead boss is seriously messed up. She was so eager to get married, asking Assistant Zhao to prepare the asset notarization as soon as the idea popped up. Now that everything was going smoothly, she started nitpicking, as if she instinctively realized something was wrong and wanted to delay things.
Zhao Jingxing decided to remain uninvolved, hardening her stance. She didn’t reply with the usual “Okay, I’ll keep looking [rose] [rose],” but with a cold “Got it [fist bump]”
Just then, the passenger door was suddenly pulled open from the outside. Chu Yiqiao rushed in excitedly, the fabric on her shoulders and below her calves soaking wet.
Tan Ze turned off her phone. She was startled by Chu Yiqiao’s disheveled state. She looked around, but her expression didn’t look sullen, so she probably hadn’t been bullied.
“Why are you so drenched?”
Chu Yiqiao didn’t speak, just blinked her wide eyes at Tan Ze.
“You need to take a shower first when we get home,” Tan Ze started the car, rolled up all the windows, and turned on the heat.
Chu Yiqiao nodded. She didn’t dare speak. She was too excited, and she was sure her voice would crack if she did.
Next to her, Tan Ze drove seriously. Today, she was wearing a loose, linen long-sleeved top in mouse-grey. A simple red thread bracelet was on her right wrist, one they had bought while playing in Linhang. The simple red thread against her pale wrist was lethally attractive to Chu Yiqiao. Tan Ze seemed to be glowing.
Chu Yiqiao lightly pressed her hand against her bag, watching Tan Ze drive. She had indeed been caught in the rain, but now she was burning up all over.
Giving flowers, giving flowers, the first time in my life.
I can’t think of anything else! Roommates, finals, everything else can go away.
How will Sister react to the flowers? Has anyone ever given her a rose? Is one too little? Is a whole bouquet too much?
Tan Ze’s peripheral vision caught Chu Yiqiao trembling slightly. She frowned and asked: “Are you very cold? We’ll be home soon.”
Chu Yiqiao shook her head, still silent.
Her mind was full of her sister’s voice, her sister’s expression, her sister’s eyes.
Oh my God.
I feel so dizzy.
Sister, stop tempting me.
The car slowly entered the underground garage. Tan Ze pulled out the key and turned to unbuckle her seatbelt. Chu Yiqiao lowered her eyes, looking at Tan Ze’s deep-set features. She couldn’t wait any longer! I can’t wait until we get upstairs!
Chu Yiqiao reached into her bag, pulled out the flowers, and thrust them towards Tan Ze.
She pushed too hard, hitting Tan Ze’s nose directly. The delicate blue flowers were knocked crooked by her high nose. The desire in Chu Yiqiao’s heart was instantly awakened. A great surge of shame and great craving rushed into her mind. Her hands trembled violently, and the words she had planned all the way stammered out.
“Si-Sister… this bo-bouquet of flowers is f-for you…”
Tan Ze already knew Chu Yiqiao was going to give her flowers; the deduction message had already gone to her phone. She had waited the entire way for Chu Yiqiao to speak, but she didn’t expect Chu Yiqiao to be so innocent about simply giving a bouquet.
Her hands shook so much that many of the pale blue petals fell off. Chu Yiqiao let out an “Ah” and bent down to pick them up. Her fingertips were pink. She fumbled around, but couldn’t pick up a single one.
“Thank you,” Tan Ze accepted the flowers, but her gaze only lightly swept over the bouquet before shifting to Chu Yiqiao’s face.
“They’re beautiful,” Tan Ze said, extending her right middle finger to lightly flick the tiny, trembling flowers.
There was also a single white rose beside it. Wet with rain, its fragrance was even more intense. The petals were pure white and not fully open, shyly closed. Tan Ze took it, brought it close to her nose, and inhaled: “Smells good.” Then she reached out, poked two fingers into the center of the petals, gently twirling and kneading, finally mashing the flower completely open.
Stripped of any concealment, the white rose emitted its beauty in the dim car. It was fresh and lovely. Because it had been rained on, the center of the flower was moist with rainwater, becoming heavily wet with a single poke.
Tan Ze was determined to cherish the gift Chu Yiqiao gave her. The position was not convenient for kissing, so she would rub it and knead it. The floral scent grew heavier and heavier. The white rose was indeed a symbol of love.
Tan Ze kissed Chu Yiqiao, mentally sketching the scene of Chu Yiqiao buying the flowers. She desperately wanted to swallow her whole and keep her by her side forever.
Chu Yiqiao’s breathing became rapid. Her hands involuntarily tightened their grip on Tan Ze’s clothes. People were coming and going in the underground garage at this time. Chu Yiqiao had a strong sense of shame. Any slight sound made her nervously clamp down on Tan Ze’s moving arm. She didn’t dare make a sound, burying her head in Tan Ze’s shoulder, softly whimpering.
The sounds were light and delicate, interspersed with a few slightly distorted “Sister” amidst the meaningless interjections. Hearing these sounds, it was hard for Tan Ze not to tease Chu Yiqiao.
Tan Ze bit Chu Yiqiao’s most sensitive ear again, laughing at her: “Why are you so nervous?”
Chu Yiqiao was slightly annoyed and glared at Tan Ze. However, her face was crimson, and her eyes were misty. The glare held no warning whatsoever; it was simply seductive. Tan Ze slightly bent her knuckles, and Chu Yiqiao melted even further, practically dissolving in Tan Ze’s arms.
Tan Ze deliberately prevented Chu Yiqiao from reaching the climax too soon, intentionally poking at the surrounding areas, making Chu Yiqiao struggle and moan in discomfort, twisting her hips.
Since people were passing by occasionally, Chu Yiqiao didn’t dare shout loudly. She whispered requests on Tan Ze’s shoulder for her sister to hurry, telling her she was the best. Only then did Tan Ze slowly rub her once.
Chu Yiqiao felt angry and tried to bite her, but she couldn’t bring herself to do it. Instead, she stuck out her tongue and licked Tan Ze’s collarbone little by little, like a kitten drinking water. Her fuzzy head rubbed against Tan Ze’s neck, making her feel agitated.
The heat was turned up high in the car. Their eyes met, and both were heavily sweating.
Chu Yiqiao was drenched more than Tan Ze had thought. The red thread on Tan Ze’s right wrist was completely wet from helping wipe the rain from Chu Yiqiao’s legs. It was sticky and couldn’t be worn after tonight. Tan Ze felt a pang of regret but was even more passionate and efficient.
Since they were outside, movement was restricted. Tan Ze only played with her briefly before stopping. She still held Chu Yiqiao, bending down herself to pick up the scattered baby’s breath.
Chu Yiqiao rarely cried now, but she was still very clingy. She couldn’t stand for Tan Ze’s hand to leave her for a second. She wrapped her arms around Tan Ze’s neck and pecked her face, feeling wronged for being ignored: “Sister, hug me.”
Tan Ze ignored Chu Yiqiao’s pouting, her hand patting the soft elasticity beneath her palm. She said huskily: “We still have to go upstairs. Behave for now.”
“Hmph.”
Chu Yiqiao hugged Tan Ze tightly and fell silent.
They stayed in the garage for another half an hour before leaving. Chu Yiqiao’s steps were unsteady. After the passion ended, the shame came back. Did Sister say the soundproofing was good and no one could see inside? Is that true?
She kept her head down the whole time. Tan Ze loosely supported her. Every time someone passed by on the way, Chu Yiqiao would tremble, looking as if she were about to faint from shame.
Tan Ze felt that if she didn’t hug her, Chu Yiqiao would try to crawl into a hole. So, she broke her own rule of being overly intimate in public and held Chu Yiqiao as they walked up.
Back at home, the door closed behind them. Chu Yiqiao finally let out a sigh of relief, leaning against the entrance cabinet and gulping down fresh air. Tan Ze stood beside her, patting her back to help her calm down, while scrutinizing Chu Yiqiao’s flushed profile.
How could she be so bold and yet so timid at the same time?
Bold enough that she would sit on Tan Ze with just a look, yet timid enough that she was still shaken when they returned home. It made Tan Ze want to hold her and finish what they couldn’t fully enjoy in the underground garage.
Tan Ze still maintained her belief: Chu Yiqiao was actually very smart.
The bouquet of baby’s breath was utterly ruined. Many of the pale blue flowers had fallen off, the stems standing bare and pitifully straight.
The white rose still looked somewhat like a flower, but the center was destroyed by Tan Ze’s abuse, and many of the outer petals had scattered.
Chu Yiqiao wanted to throw them away with a blush as soon as she got out of the car, but Tan Ze quickly intervened, saying that since it was a gift, it was hers, and it was pretty, so they should display it at home.
The bouquet was finally placed in the bedroom. Chu Yiqiao initially wanted to place the flowers on Tan Ze’s lower abdomen, but she was grabbed by the waist and lifted up. Tan Ze had wanted to do this in the car earlier.
When Chu Yiqiao presented the bouquet and accidentally hit Tan Ze’s nose, Tan Ze had precisely captured the fleeting desire and shyness in Chu Yiqiao’s eyes.
She replicated that moment. She lay flat, holding the pitifully abused bouquet, rubbing the pink flowers with her nose. The soft flower stems were knocked crooked by her high nose bridge.
Chu Yiqiao clearly loved this position. Tan Ze could see it, hear it, and taste it.
The rain outside grew heavier. The “rain” inside was a steady drizzle. Tan Ze hadn’t used an umbrella, and her entire face was damp with moisture. Chu Yiqiao struggled, trying to get up, but it looked more like self-help. In between their kisses, Tan Ze had the mind to tease her: “Bao Bao, did you drink a lot of water today? How are you so easily (wet)?”
“No… ha…”
Chu Yiqiao was kneeling, arching backward, intensifying the rain.
When it came time for the shower, Chu Yiqiao again had PTSD about Tan Ze’s kneeling posture. Her legs were tightly together, and she stared at Tan Ze very warily.
Tan Ze lathered up the shower gel and rubbed it onto Chu Yiqiao’s back.
“Why are you looking at me like that?” Tan Ze looked at Chu Yiqiao’s expression with amusement: “Uncomfortable?”
“Sister, how could you let me… sit… on that?”
Tan Ze never used dirty talk, and Chu Yiqiao’s psychological tolerance was low; just the objective description was enough to make her squirm: “Chu Yiqiao, didn’t you like it? You (moaned) so much.”
Chu Yiqiao didn’t even want to look at Tan Ze’s face, staring intently at the patterns on the floor tiles.
“…Sister, don’t say any more…”
Of course, Tan Ze said much more. Chu Yiqiao was mortified, but her threshold was indeed unknowingly raised by Tan Ze.
She used to refuse to even kiss Tan Ze outside, but now they could do it in the car.
Tan Ze’s transformation of her was sweet, slow, and hard to detect.
Tan Ze finally let Chu Yiqiao off the hook, turned on the shower, and began washing her hair. Her fingertips gently massaged Chu Yiqiao’s scalp. The warm water flowed over her body. Her sister’s hands glided over her skin. The lingering afterglow of the continuous activity made her mind hazy.
It was too comfortable. Chu Yiqiao gradually grew sleepy, closing her eyes slightly.
She seemed to be asleep.
Tan Ze dutifully continued washing her, wrapping her in a bath towel, and transporting her to the bed. Chu Yiqiao wasn’t completely asleep; she still retained some awareness. She could feel Tan Ze putting her clothes on and tucking her into the blankets.
Rustle, rustle. She was then circled by Tan Ze’s arms. Her sister’s embrace was warm and soft. Chu Yiqiao snuggled against her to sleep, hearing their synchronized heartbeats.
Her sister didn’t seem to be asleep yet. Her arm moved down and took Chu Yiqiao’s hand. Her thumb rubbed Chu Yiqiao’s wrist. Chu Yiqiao continued to feign sleep, letting Tan Ze move her hand around like a doll.
Then she moved it out from under the blanket.
The next second, her wrist was pinched by fingers. Chu Yiqiao felt Tan Ze squeeze her fingertips. She wondered why; was she playing a game?
There was another sound of fabric rubbing.
Warm breath suddenly came closer. Her arm was lifted directly, her ring finger was singled out, and a hard, cold, circular object was slid onto it.
Chu Yiqiao froze completely. Before she could figure out what was happening, the small circular object was removed.
Her ring finger felt neglected, something Chu Yiqiao hadn’t thought about before. Now, she felt a void between her fingers, needing something to be slipped on.
“Goodnight,” Tan Ze whispered in Chu Yiqiao’s ear.
