After Dating the President O, I Turned Into a Puppy-Like Lover - Chapter 9
School life often feels like counting down the days, wishing for holidays to come sooner—when you’re watching the clock, time crawls by; once you forget about it, the days seem to fly past.
In the blink of an eye, two weeks had gone by, and the students gradually adjusted to the rhythm of campus life.
That day, long after the dismissal bell had rung, nearly everyone in the classrooms had already gone to lunch, yet the lights in the Student Council office in the comprehensive building were still on.
Dan Sirou might not be the very last person to eat every day, but she was certainly among the last.
Next month would mark Qingyu High School’s centennial anniversary. Representatives from neighboring schools would be visiting, along with a series of friendly competitions. As a result, the workload assigned to her during this period was especially heavy.
After finally wrapping up everything on her desk, Dan Sirou put on her coat, casually switched off the lights, and left the office.
By the time she reached the school cafeteria, there was barely any food left. She headed to the convenience store next door to buy a piece of bread, and happened to run into Wu Qing and Wei Yiwei.
Wei Yiwei was the other vice president besides Lin Shi—an Alpha, tall and handsome. He had lost the election to Dan Sirou by only a few votes.
They had just finished eating and come to the convenience store for snacks. Upon meeting Dan Sirou, the three of them naturally ended up walking together.
On their way out, they passed by the freezer. Wu Qing said she wanted ice cream, so Dan Sirou and Wei Yiwei stopped to wait for her. Wu Qing grabbed a Choco Taco and was just about to head to the counter when she turned around and bumped straight into a tall figure.
“Sorry, sorry!” Wu Qing apologized repeatedly. When she looked up, she realized it was someone she knew. “Mr. An?”
The man’s black hair was neatly combed, his features fair and clean, exuding an air of refined elegance.
An Luyuan smiled gently. “It’s alright, it’s alright.”
An Luyuan was a young teacher who had joined the school a year ago. Fresh out of university, he had managed to secure a teaching position at Qingyu High—clear proof of his outstanding ability. With his handsome looks, warm voice, and graceful demeanor, he was extremely popular among the students.
At that moment, An Luyuan also noticed Dan Sirou and Wei Yiwei waiting nearby and greeted them with a smile.
“Yiwei.”
Then, in an even gentler tone, he called, “Sirou,” his gaze lingering on her with a hint of warmth that bordered on ambiguity.
Dan Sirou and Wei Yiwei both politely greeted him, addressing him as “Mr. An.”
“You’re not getting ice cream?” An Luyuan asked enthusiastically. “Why don’t you pick one? It’s on me today.”
“Sure!” Wei Yiwei agreed instantly, without the slightest hesitation.
Dan Sirou, however, declined politely. “Thank you, sir, but I don’t eat ice cream.”
An Luyuan stepped closer, concern evident in his eyes. “What’s wrong?”
“I’m not feeling very well,” Dan Sirou replied.
“Is it serious?”
“No, just a minor issue.”
An Luyuan nodded and didn’t press further. He only reminded her, “Alright then. If you start feeling really unwell, make sure you go to the infirmary.”
“Okay.”
There was a trace of reluctance in his expression. Before leaving, he glanced at Dan Sirou once more, but in the end, he said nothing.
Instead, he stopped Wei Yiwei. “Yiwei, do you have time right now? Come help me move some things.”
Wei Yiwei, who was happily biting into his ice cream, froze on the spot. “……”
Wu Qing burst out laughing beside them and said loudly, “Hahahaha, now you know—teachers’ treats are never free! Everything is premeditated!”
After the two boys walked off, Wu Qing finished her ice cream. She then clung to Dan Sirou’s arm and whispered in her ear.
“Dandan, honestly, I think we were all benefiting from you today.”
Dan Sirou frowned slightly. “From me?”
“Mr. An,” Wu Qing said. “I feel like he’s always especially concerned about you.”
“You’re overthinking it,” Dan Sirou said, feeling the idea was absurd.
Wu Qing was clearly hinting at an Alpha–Omega attraction, but while such talk might be fine in private, if it was overheard by someone with ulterior motives, it could push Dan Sirou into the spotlight and even affect Mr. An’s career as a teacher.
“Given Mr. An’s character,” Dan Sirou added calmly, “as long as he runs into a student he knows, he’d treat them all the same.”
“That’s true,” Wu Qing nodded in agreement.
As they walked on, they reached the fork in the road leading to the dormitories and the comprehensive building. Wu Qing hesitated and asked, “Dandan, are you still going back to the office?”
Dan Sirou thought for a moment. “Yeah.”
There was still a section in a form she hadn’t filled out properly. If she went back to revise it before the lunch break ended, there would still be time.
“I’ll go with you,” Wu Qing said. “Let’s take the shortcut behind the teaching building, it’ll save time.”
“Alright,” Dan Sirou agreed.
Behind the teaching building, there were no other structures. Most areas were enclosed by fences, while the back of the building was bordered by a tall wall. Hardly anyone went there; usually only staff cleaning the public areas passed through.
The moment they stepped into the open space, Dan Sirou’s brows knit together. Wu Qing, on the other hand, gasped and covered her mouth.
A violent gust of wind swept dried leaves into the air. A broom lay toppled on the ground. Near the corner of the wall stood a tall pagoda tree, its thick trunk unable to conceal the two figures beneath it—brazenly disregarding school rules.
The Omega was weakly bracing herself against the tree trunk, while the Alpha embraced her intimately from behind, his lips pressed to the gland at the back of her neck. Their movements were lingering and indulgent, and threads of unmistakable intimacy drifted through the air, wafting faintly toward Dan Sirou.
Perhaps sensing that they were being watched, the Alpha instinctively turned his head. When he saw who was behind him, his tall frame stiffened instantly, as if petrified.
“What’s wrong, Ding Hao?” the Omega asked, still lingering in the moment. She drew her neck back slightly, puzzled, and followed his gaze.
Ding Hao stammered, completely flustered. “P–President.”
After the afternoon break ended, students began filing back from the dormitories to the teaching building.
Jiang He was still half-asleep, only gradually coming to her senses after entering the classroom.
There was still some time before class started. She sat idly at her seat for a while, then noticed her bottle was empty and stood up to refill it. Zhou Yi, that lazybones, was sprawled on her desk asleep, yet still managed to hand her water bottle over without lifting her head.
For a moment, Jiang He felt as if Zhou Yi was the real boss, and she was the one constantly being ordered around.
If not for Zhou Yi shooting her a look of refusal, Xu Yiran’s eager hand would have reached over as well. Jiang He was soft-hearted after all—no matter how tough she looked, her actions were always honest.
“Give it here,” she said.
“I was just teasing you,” Xu Yiran grinned mischievously, then stood up and fell into step beside Jiang He. “I’ll go with you.”
They exited through the front door of the classroom. The aisle between groups was a bit crowded, and the group leaders were urging everyone to hand in the math homework assigned the day before.
Jiang He remembered that her math workbook was buried at the very bottom of her pile. Their group leader was the class monitor, Lin Momo. Going out to refill water meant passing by Lin Momo’s seat anyway, so Jiang He planned to let her know. However, Lin Momo’s seat was completely empty, which made Jiang He pause in surprise.
Having been classmates with Lin Momo for so many years, Jiang He knew that the class monitor was always seated, reviewing her lessons, before Jiang He ever arrived at the classroom. Today was truly out of the ordinary.
