- After Breaking Up with the Alpha Villain, I was Forcibly Marked.
- Chapter 5 - The Undifferentiated Youth More Beautiful than an Omega
The youth was startled by the Alpha’s sudden loss of warmth. The innate disparity in their physical constitutions caused his body to go weak uncontrollably in the face of a high-quality Alpha’s strange and powerful pheromones.
Until this moment, he had no choice but to admit that the Senior’s deep affection was all a lie. Their relationship was nothing more than a performance with a fixed expiration date.
The ulterior motives he once harbored shattered into dust.
“Playing with an Omega’s feelings, you’ll definitely end up rotting away! Retribution will find you!”
The youth scrambled up from the ground and limped away, sobbing as he disappeared from sight.
“…”
Gao Chang stood with his arms crossed, his face stiff and silent. He had heard the youth’s indignant and cruel curse more than ten times from different Omegas.
The first time he initiated a breakup, the Omega’s frown and a single tear would have made him toss and turn in bed all day, unable to sleep the entire night. But with identical scenes and identical experiences repeated over and over, his original “glass heart” had developed antibodies it had grown hard, thick, and even numb.
He could satisfy their every need unconditionally during the agreement period, playing the role of a flawless, perfect boyfriend. He could even withdraw instantly the moment the agreement ended and move on to the next hunt without any burden, but he would never again be easily swayed.
The night wind from the window surged into the corridor, carrying a few chaotic and restless pheromones that lightly brushed past the daydreaming Alpha leaning against the sill.
Gao Chang’s nose twitched, and he instinctively looked in the direction the pheromones were drifting from. Following that, several hostile young voices came from the other end of the hallway, their volume rising and falling.
Listening closely for a moment, he could hear several foul words sprinkled through their conversation. It sounded like they were bullying an undifferentiated youth?
As far as he knew, the entire hotel had been booked by the school. He couldn’t imagine anyone causing trouble at this hour other than students from the Imperial Military Academy.
Hearing the arrogant verbal abuse of one of them, Gao Chang’s thoughts focused, and he couldn’t help but pause his steps to leave. He didn’t like meddling in other people’s business, nor did he have a hero complex for helping others. But thinking about the “beautiful, tragic, and strong” traits essential for a Protagonist Shou in a sweet-slap novel, he decided to investigate with a sliver of curiosity.
Gao Chang tapped the metal ring on his wrist a few times, activating the hidden recording function on his optical computer. He lightened his steps and walked toward the source of the noise.
The closer he got, the clearer the voices became.
“What are you waiting for! Hurry up and pin this bastard’s shoulders down. Young Master wants to make him drink this wine on his knees! If you manage to subdue him, his body is yours for the night this is a ‘chick’ that hasn’t been used yet.”
An Alpha dressed in a dark green noble suit glanced at the three lackeys beside him, his eyes glinting with a sinister light.
“We can’t, Boss. This kid’s body is too stiff… we can’t push him down.”
“Can’t you just kick his calves?!”
“Oh, oh! Good point.”
The youth, struck twice in the back of the knees, instantly lost his balance. With a thud, his knees slammed heavily onto the floor. His thin shoulders were pinned down firmly by two burly boys, leaving him unable to move.
“Even though he’s an undifferentiated waste, this face isn’t any worse than my uncle’s. You guys are getting a real bargain.”
The Alpha laughed hideously, holding a wine bottle high. He shook it several times until the powdered drug covering the bottom was evenly mixed, then tilted the mouth of the bottle toward the youth’s face.
On the Alpha’s fourth birthday, his long-missing uncle had appeared at his birthday banquet, delirious and cradling a blood-stained newborn whose umbilical cord hadn’t even been cut.
Later, he learned the child was actually a “wild brat” the uncle had secretly conceived with some random man. Apparently, that man refused to take responsibility, had already married an Omega from another family, and had kicked the father and son out.
The uncle, broken by love, returned to the family only to have his health dragged down by a malignant illness within a few years. The former “Pearl of the Alvig Family,” the Top-Tier Omega desired by countless Alphas, became a total invalid. Eventually, his body was discovered by a servant in the garden.
And Xing Xiyan, that fatherless burden, was left behind in the clan.
The Alpha had been irritated by the sight of Xing Xiyan for a long time. Only because there were too many eyes at home did he lack the opportunity to strike. Today, he was determined to make the kid suffer and learn a lesson, so he’d know who the future head of the household was!
The dark red liquid, gleaming like rubies, poured down in a stream. It washed back the bangs covering half the youth’s face, wetting a youthful cheek that was several shades whiter than a white camellia.
Like a red rose blooming in a vast snowy wilderness, an extreme decadence emerged from a holiness that rivaled the gods, instantly captivating the hearts of the group.
“Boss, your brother… he’s really beautiful…”
“I’ve never seen someone this good-looking. Even better than the ‘School Beauty’ of the Command Department! He’s a literal masterpiece!”
The two lackeys stared straight at the youth drenched in the scent of wine. Their noses instinctively sniffed the heavy fragrance in the corridor; their blood surged and their breathing grew heavy. Both were Alphas at a hot-blooded age. While they usually worked for Vickery and had plenty of contact with Omegas, this was the first time they had seen an “Ordinary” person with such pure and dazzling beauty more striking even than an Omega. For a moment, they almost lost control, their grip on the youth’s shoulders tightening.
“Hmph. Just the face the Alvig family gave him, that’s all.”
The Alpha looked arrogant, indifferent to his lackeys’ praise. He glanced at the youth’s tightly pursed lips and jammed the mouth of the bottle against them. Failing to pry them open, he called over another lackey who was watching: “You, come here and pry this bastard’s mouth open!”
The summoned lackey stepped forward quickly. Following the Alpha’s order, he reached out to pinch the youth’s face. His trembling, excited fingers were about to touch those plum-red thin lips when he unexpectedly met a pair of light-colored eyes.
Cold. Pure. Without a trace of impurity. There was no fear, no resistance; the youth just stared up at the man’s right hand without blinking.
It was as if he were staring at a piece of rotting meat.
Clearly, he was just an ordinary person with no differentiated attributes, yet he made the Alpha feel an inexplicable chill rising from the soles of his feet. His palms broke out in a cold sweat, and he felt as if half his body were hanging over a cliff, ready to plunge into a bottomless abyss to be devoured at any moment.
Fear instantly sprouted and grew wild in his heart.
