- After Being Forced into a Marriage with My Empress Consort
- Chapter 8 - Crisis. Warning! Dangerous Behavior Detected in the Female Insect.
The worker bee coveting his male partner nearby was emitting a cloying, sugary scent, which left him feeling agitated.
He had momentarily remembered that he came here to hold him accountable, but his mind had been clouded by the sugar-coated bullets thrown his way.
He recalled those torture instruments disguised as gifts and desperately wanted to interrogate the male before him:
Was his gentleness all just a pretense? Once he shed his external armor of self-protection, would he then humiliate him until he was covered in wounds?
But he hadn’t even had the chance to pull away from that incredibly sweet kiss.
Indeed, he should also provide an explanation for his own erratic behavior.
However, he was completely unwilling to reveal his fear, so he pretended to be calm and said, “I didn’t mean to blame you for being impatient. It’s just that I am extremely displeased by other males smelling your pheromones.”
His sharp gaze swept over the fellow, who was so excited that his wings were buzzing, and he thought to himself that he was indeed much steadier and much calmer.
After all, he was a bug who had seen the world, which is why he didn’t lose his composure in front of Tracy.
“Oh, I see,” Tracy suddenly realized.
He knew it; there was no way Adonis would reject him.
After all, he could feel the other’s desire. Like right now, the heavily heaving chest and slightly trembling breath all signaled that this female was far from calm.
“You can go now.”
Tracy wore a smile as he said to the worker bee on the floor, “Thank you for your help. The glass is installed now, and I am very satisfied.”
A male was actually thanking a lowly worker bee? Not to mention, he was just an ordinary worker bee at that.
The female raised his face, somewhat shocked.
Compared to the praying mantis warrior exuding a thick sense of oppression before him, he appeared much more harmless, with softer features, closer to a sub-male.
The worker bee was dazzled by that smile.
He couldn’t help but think: If I miss this chance, when would I ever encounter a second male with such a good temper? Perhaps he might even be willing to grant me an egg.
The worker bee crawled on the floor, appearing even more humble and submissive.
“Sir, I am very happy to serve you. Please let me stay here. I can do many things for you!”
He saw Tracy’s silver-white tail hook and couldn’t help but take a deep breath.
In the insect world, the lighter the color of the tail hook, the more it symbolized purity. This lord hadn’t even tasted the fruit yet.
And his female consort was clearly not a good guide. He was too rigid; such a good male, and he actually refused him. Unlike him, whatever this male did to him, he would be willing.
“If you don’t know how, I can teach you how to handle a whip.” The worker bee took a long, pitch-black horsehair whip from the side rack. It was clear that this was a high-quality whip; if it were used to strike a female, it would certainly leave him mangled and bloodied.
“I am very compliant; I won’t release any spiritual energy to harm you or cause you injury,” the female said pitifully.
Tracy was first shocked by the female’s boldness, and then he frowned.
“Sorry, I have no intention of doing that.”
He rubbed his temples and directly refused.
Unexpectedly, the female remained undeterred. He kneeled and crawled two steps forward, kneeling before Tracy, and stammered, “Even if you just let me watch from the side, that would be enough.”
Before he could even speak to chase this female away, he saw Adonis stand up.
“Ah!” The female was blown away by a massive gust of air.
He gripped the corner of a table tightly to steady his figure.
Adonis was like a dragon whose reverse scale had been violated, unfolding his wings. The massive, black dragon-bone wings were covered in a layer of pale green film, becoming dazzling and transparent white toward the base of the wings.
His expression was gloomy, his brow and eyes shrouded in a thin layer of rage.
Tracy suddenly felt the air around him grow heavy; the oppressive pressure made it hard to breathe. He couldn’t help but grip the bedpost tightly, parting the bed curtains that were billowing wildly, and watched as the female approached the worker bee step by step.
The attack on the female before him was clearly more severe; his face quickly turned pale, and then, as if flattened by a thousand-pound lead ball, he pressed against the floor, unable to move even a finger.
The newly repaired glass shattered completely, emitting a crisp sound, before being swept away by a powerful pillar of spiritual energy.
The female struggled to lift his eyes, revealing fear as he looked at the stony-faced Adonis.
He had originally thought this female was just lucky, relying on a pretty face to gain the male’s favor; he assumed that his pride and arrogance would surely lead to him being cast aside. He never expected that he had misjudged the terrifying strength beneath the other’s handsome exterior.
He extended his fingers, and his slender fingers quickly armored, even revealing the phantom image of a sickle. How could he dare?
Seeing the male also pushed down onto the bed by this gloomy, terrifying aura, struggling to breathe, the worker bee felt profound regret.
“The Male Protection Association will cancel your dating eligibility,” he managed to say with difficulty.
However, Adonis chuckled. A whirlpool-like red emerged in the depths of his eyes, a sign that his spiritual energy was on the verge of spiraling out of control.
Adonis lowered his voice; it was already deep, and now it rang in the female’s ears like an incantation from hell.
“This is no mere dating eligibility. Do you know what a marriage alliance means? As long as the male agrees, he can only have me as his future female consort. Before I conceive an egg, he cannot even openly take a concubine. That is my male, my future master. If you knew how to read the room, you wouldn’t be bothering us while we are spending time together.”
He gently pinched the worker bee’s neck, dragged him up from the floor, and, as if throwing out trash, moved his arm directly over the frame of the shattered balcony window.
“No, no!” The worker bee desperately pried at the fingers on his throat, but the sickle-like constraint was impossible to break free from. He struggled twice, then lost his strength.
“Trash.” Adonis sneered, then relaxed his grip.
“Hey.” Tracy endured the discomfort in his body, climbed off the bed, and stumbled toward the balcony.
The female’s hands were already empty. Where did such a large female go? Although the bee race was small in stature, he wasn’t that much smaller than him. Looking down from hundreds of meters in the air made one dizzy; it was impossible to see where the female had been thrown.
“You’re killing someone!”
Tracy was shocked. His heart pounded, his eyes wide, his pupils reflecting his own reflection. Just him alone. He even wanted to cover his eyes and kiss him lightly to erase the shock and fear that left him feeling uneasy.
“He won’t die.” Adonis’s tone was calm.
He didn’t understand why Tracy was so shocked. Is he worried about that annoying female? Adonis felt a subtle sense of irritation. But he didn’t want the male worrying about others.
“He is a female; he can fly,” Adonis added reluctantly.
He had already seen the other flap his wings and escape just before hitting the ground under the threat of death. Even if he fell again, he wouldn’t die. Of course, he would inevitably break a few bones, but that was the punishment he deserved.
Meeting Adonis’s matter-of-fact gaze, Tracy swallowed and took a silent step back.
The aura that had erupted from the female just now made him realize for the first time just how dangerous this creature truly was. He threw that half-dead female away without hesitation. What about him, the male?
Although Tracy had a bit of a lustful streak, compared to his own life, that little bit of romantic thought vanished in an instant.
Adonis noticed the change in Tracy’s attitude. However, he didn’t think he had done anything wrong. He had spent a massive amount of contribution points to win the opportunity to marry this male; naturally, he couldn’t just easily hand that over to someone else. Only the genes of the strong were qualified to be passed on.
Adonis regretted being a bit too over-reactive just now, pushing the male away, but he didn’t regret grabbing that shameless, thick-skinned female and throwing him out. Adonis pursed his lips.
He admitted that he did feel a little bit of a sense of crisis. He wasn’t as sweet-looking as the other, his personality was rigid, he didn’t know how to be servile, and today, due to a vague fear and dread, he had even rejected the male’s grooming and slapped him, turning his hand red.
Although there were no visible signs of injury, if the Judgment Mainframe and the Enforcement Team arrived shortly and the male accused him, he would likely face more than just the punishment of harming a female and being locked in solitary confinement for three days. Perhaps, he would even lose the opportunity he had won with one million contribution points.
Adonis touched his chest, feeling a sudden void; he was terrified. He had originally intended to lure the enforcement team and have the male voluntarily cancel the engagement, but for some reason, after that lingering kiss, he felt his previous ideas were too stupid.
The gentle touch was like soft clouds and cotton candy; his mind had been dizzy, and his rampaging spiritual energy had calmed down, savoring the faint scent of the male’s pheromones between their lips. The male’s skin was so delicate that even up close, one couldn’t see any pores, and his body smelled so good. It was truly delicious, a level of transcendence and thrill he had never imagined or had words to describe.
He had paid money, the accumulated contribution points of his entire first half of life. So why should he give it up and let someone else experience such a wonderful taste for free? Even if there was pain in the future, at least the beauty of this moment was his. He selfishly wanted to enjoy it alone.
But it was too late.
Adonis lowered his eyes. He heard the buzzing sound of the Judgment Mainframe arriving. A blue light flashed outside the window. A blue high-tech orb, accompanied by the buzzing vibration of wings, flew in from the window frame that was all that remained. It went directly past the gloomy Adonis and hovered in front of Tracy.
“Dear male lord,” the inorganic voice of the Judgment Mainframe greeted Tracy like a polite young man. “I have detected dangerous behavior from the female before you; his aggression and danger level have exceeded safety thresholds. Do you authorize us to take this female away to undergo necessary punishment and attend remedial courses on etiquette for interacting with males?”
