- After Being Entangled By the Obsessive Heroine [Quick Wear]
- Chapter 23 - "Xue Yingxian, stop now! We'll hear you!"
Xiao Ce had finally seen the insidious side of this woman, Lu Xian Ning. Before, when she would deliberately get into trouble with Xue Yingxian and cling to her like a piece of sticky candy, he had genuinely believed there was some deep-seated feud between them. He never would have imagined it was all a ploy!
Even if he smashed his brain and reassembled it, he wouldn’t have seen this coming.
Looking back, all of Lu Xian Ning’s past actions were premeditated and had a clear trail.
First, she pretended to hate Xue Yingxian to get her to hate her back, then she created opportunities to constantly be in her sight. It was only a matter of time before different feelings would blossom.
And just like that, they were together.
While everyone was still stuck on the idea that they were sworn enemies, the two of them were already a loving couple.
What a poisonous woman. This scheme was so well-played it caught him completely off guard.
Xian Ning walked over to Xue Yingxian, one hand wrapped around her waist and the other on her arm. “Xiao Xian, are you okay?” she asked with genuine concern.
Xue Yingxian gave a light cough. “I’m fine.”
“Your face is pale and you say you’re fine? Let me help you inside to rest.”
Xue Yingxian didn’t know how to continue the act, so she simply let Xian Ning guide her toward the room. Her hand moved from Xian Ning’s waist to hold onto her hand and give it a small squeeze.
Xian Ning looked at her, her eyes full of suppressed laughter.
Mrs. Xue had already gone inside. After a couple of steps, Xian Ning turned her head to look at Xiao Ce.
“Why are you still here, Mr. Xiao?”
Seeing her triumphant look, Xiao Ce’s chest heaved with rage. He pointed a finger at her. “Lu Xian Ning, you!”
Xian Ning put on an innocent expression and raised an eyebrow. “Me, what?”
Xiao Ce choked on his words, his lips trembling, unable to utter a single syllable.
Xian Ning turned back to Xue Yingxian. “Seems like he has nothing to say. Shall we go in?”
“Yes.”
“He’s so scary, isn’t he?”
“Yeah.”
Xiao Ce nearly died of frustration on the spot. He stood there for ten minutes before finally leaving. As soon as he got home, he booked a plane ticket to go abroad to clear his head, unwilling to stay in this place that brought him such grief.
*********
Meanwhile, after Xian Ning and Xue Yingxian entered the room, they braced themselves for Mrs. Xue’s scrutiny.
Neither of them dared to sit. They stood with their heads bowed in front of Mrs. Xue, like two children who had been caught doing something wrong.
Mrs. Xue cleared her throat. “Let go of her first.”
Only then did Xian Ning realize her hand was still on Xue Yingxian’s waist. She quickly withdrew her hand and stood even more meekly.
Mrs. Xue was silent for a while before asking, “Alright, tell me. How do you plan to clean up this mess?”
Xian Ning’s heart sank. As expected, she’s sharper than I am, having eaten twenty years more than me, she thought.
How to clean it up? Of course, by shamelessly begging for her approval. It’s not like they were going to break up.
“Mom…”
“I will not break up with Xian Ning!” Xue Yingxian interrupted, her voice slightly agitated. “Xian Ning might have exaggerated a bit, but she wasn’t completely lying. I do hate men, and I despise being touched by anyone else. It only feels right when she touches me.”
“Mom, why do you insist on tearing us apart? Didn’t you and Dad want to live with Xian Ning, too? This is even better.”
Mrs. Xue watched Xue Yingxian’s face turn from pale to red and knew how worked up she was. If she remained stubborn, it would only lead to another fight, and nothing would get resolved.
She took a deep breath and let out a heavy sigh.
“Do you have any idea what the consequences are for two girls being together? If you were just an ordinary person, it wouldn’t matter, but you are the heir to the Xue Corporation. Once the public knows you have a same-sex partner, a countless number of eyes will be on you. Any little thing you two do will be magnified a thousand times. Can you handle that?”
“Yes.”
The answer came from Xian Ning, and her tone was incredibly firm.
Since she had chosen Xue Yingxian, she had to believe in her. No matter what happened in the future, they would face it together.
Could anything be more serious than a small world collapsing at any moment?
Thinking of this, Xian Ning felt a little guilty. She wondered how the dormant System 033 was doing.
Mrs. Xue sighed again, pressing her fingers to her temples as if she had a headache.
Xian Ning quickly went up to her and gently massaged her head while being as sweet as possible. “Mom, it’s okay if you don’t agree right away. Just don’t get so worked up that you hurt yourself.”
“And what if I never agree?” Mrs. Xue asked grumpily.
Xian Ning chuckled, wrapping her arms around her mother’s neck and resting her chin on her shoulder, affectionately acting cute.
“Then I’ll just have to keep trying. A lifetime is a long time; there will come a day when you agree.”
“Oh, you,” Mrs. Xue said, reaching up to pat her head. “You kids are all grown up. I can’t control you anymore.”
Xue Yingxian’s eyes lit up. “You agree?” she asked happily.
Mrs. Xue pulled Xian Ning’s hands away and slowly got up. “I didn’t say anything of the sort.”
Xue Yingxian was about to say more, but Xian Ning shook her head at her. Her mother was already showing signs of giving in, and saying too much now would be counterproductive.
After this incident, she was sure Mrs. Xue wouldn’t force Xue Yingxian on a blind date with a man again. They could take their time with the rest.
Mrs. Xue tidied her clothes, grabbed her bag, and walked gracefully and elegantly toward the door.
“Let’s go. Are you planning on staying here for the night?”
The two young women followed her obediently.
Because of this incident, Xue Yingxian’s birthday had been missed. Xian Ning decided to make it up to her.
“Do you have any plans for tomorrow?”
Xue Yingxian sidled over and held onto Xian Ning’s arm. “No, I want to play with my dear sister.” She drew out the last syllable, which inexplicably sent a shiver down Xian Ning’s spine. Her internal radar accurately detected danger.
“We can play outside, but not at home.”
Xue Yingxian burrowed her face into Xian Ning’s chest, whining like a puppy. “No, no, no, I want to play at home! It’s been so long since we’ve seen each other. You don’t know what I’ve been through this past half-month.”
She sniffled, her voice full of grievance. “Cold nights, a lonely bed, tossing and turning…”
“Alright, alright, I get it. You got a good score on your college entrance exam,” Xian Ning interrupted quickly.
Xue Yingxian popped her head out of Xian Ning’s chest, her puppy-dog eyes full of anticipation. “So, tonight…”
Xian Ning tapped her on the head. “Stop thinking unhealthy thoughts. I need to go home tonight. Luhan is leaving tomorrow.”
Thinking about it, it was strange that Luhan was staying for so long this time. Xian Ning had assumed she wouldn’t have to go back, but it turned out she had to stay for another six months, and she had even requested it herself.
Xian Ning had a vague feeling that Luhan’s reason for this was related to her, but she couldn’t figure out why.
Was it because she was with Xue Yingxian, so Luhan wanted to completely distance herself from her?
It seemed so unbelievable. If that were the case, their sisterly bond was more superficial than she thought.
Xian Ning felt like she was missing something and decided to have a heart-to-heart with Luhan tonight.
It was getting late, so Xian Ning prepared to go home. Xue Yingxian also followed her out.
“You should stay here. You don’t need to see me off.”
“I’ll walk you home.”
Xue Yingxian naturally took her arm, a mischievous grin on her face.
Xian Ning knew exactly what she was thinking. “Walk me home, and then what?” she asked.
“I want to see the little stuffed animals on my sister’s bed. I heard them say they miss me and want me to visit them.”
Xian Ning: …
She’ll say anything to get her way.
“You can come, but you have to be well-behaved.”
Xue Yingxian, of course, agreed immediately, acting as obedient as a newborn puppy.
When they got home, their parents were watching TV in the living room. It was then that Xian Ning found out Luhan had been cooped up in her room all day.
“Your sister has been in a bad mood lately. She won’t say why,” Mrs. Lu said sadly. Her child, whom she had doted on since birth, now seemed to be hiding things from her.
“It’s okay, Mom. Maybe she’ll tell me.”
Xian Ning knocked on the door. When Luhan heard it was her, she let her in. Xue Yingxian stayed in the living room to watch TV with Mr. and Mrs. Lu, but she felt incredibly uneasy.
She knew about Luhan’s feelings for Xian Ning. What if…
The more she thought about it, the more anxious she became. Her eyes were fixed on the door, wishing she had x-ray vision.
Xian Ning got straight to the point. “Sister, why are you so unhappy?”
Luhan, who was in the middle of packing, paused and asked, “Do you really not know?”
Xian Ning shook her head.
Her features were delicate and small, her edges soft, and her innocent expression made her seem even more endearing. She had a pure and gentle aura. Just standing there, she was captivating.
Her beauty was undeniable.
Luhan stared directly at Xian Ning, rising and walking toward her step by step.
Xian Ning thought she was just going to come closer to talk, but instead, she was pressed against the wall.
“You really don’t know? Then I’ll tell you why!”
Luhan leaned in and kissed Xian Ning on the lips.
Xian Ning immediately turned her face away and pressed her hand hard against Luhan’s mouth. Her palm ached from Luhan’s jawbone digging into it.
“Luhan, are you crazy?!”
Luhan’s eyes were red, like a wild animal that had lost control. She snarled, “Yes, I’m crazy! You drove me crazy!”
That shout startled Mr. and Mrs. Lu in the living room. As for Xue Yingxian, she was already at Luhan’s door in a flash.
“Xian Ning, are you okay? What did she do to you? I’m coming in if you don’t say anything.”
“I’m fine, don’t come in,” Xian Ning said, then looked at Luhan again. “Are you going to let go? Do you want people to see you like this?”
Luhan suddenly laughed, looking both manic and insane. “Wouldn’t it be better for her to see? You were always supposed to be mine. Who is she to you?!”
Seeing that she couldn’t be reasoned with, Xian Ning stomped hard on Luhan’s foot. As Luhan cried out in pain and loosened her grip, Xian Ning pushed her away and quickly opened the door to get out.
Xue Yingxian hugged her tightly. Seeing the panic on Xian Ning’s face, she had a good guess about what had happened and glared furiously into the room, her voice dropping several degrees.
“Did she do something to you?”
Xian Ning shook her head. “My legs feel a little weak. Help me back to my room first.”
Mr. and Mrs. Lu had also come over, and neither of them looked good. Xian Ning said to them, “Mom, Dad, my sister is a little emotional right now. Please talk to her.”
Of course, she couldn’t tell her parents what had just happened. How would Luhan ever be able to live in this house again?
Xue Yingxian helped Xian Ning back to her room, gently placed her on the bed, and then knelt in front of her, looking up at her.
“Can’t you even tell me?”
Xian Ning’s heart was still pounding. Seeing Xue Yingxian’s face made her feel like crying. “Hold me.”
Hearing the choked-up sound in her voice, Xue Yingxian’s heart ached. She hugged Xian Ning tightly, gently patting her back to comfort her.
“Don’t be scared, I’m here. I’ll go deal with her in a bit.”
Xian Ning said nothing, just stayed buried in her embrace.
It wasn’t that she was fragile; it was just that the shock of what had just happened was too great. Her own older sister harbored those kinds of feelings for her. It would be difficult for anyone to accept.
When had Luhan started liking her? Had it been a long time?
Xian Ning quickly cut off her thoughts. She couldn’t dwell on this, or she would only feel worse.
She didn’t know what her parents talked about with Luhan, but they didn’t come out until an hour later. Afterward, her mother knocked on the door, wanting to come in and check on Xian Ning, but Xian Ning refused.
If her mother asked what had happened, what would she say?
Her mother told her to rest well and left. The sound of the TV in the living room also stopped, and the night finally settled into a peaceful quiet.
Another half hour passed before Xian Ning peeked her head out from Xue Yingxian’s embrace, urging her to go take a shower.
She wanted to make sure they both got cleaned up before her parents went to bed so they wouldn’t disturb them.
Xue Yingxian obediently went. When she came back with wet hair, Xian Ning offered to blow-dry it for her, but she said, “You go shower first. We can blow-dry them together after you’re done.”
Xian Ning quickly took a shower and came out in her fleece pajamas, but still shivered as she stepped into the room.
The bathroom had a heating lamp, but the room’s heater wasn’t very warm; it was like an ice cave.
It took a while to blow-dry their hair. They both had long, thick hair, and their arms ached by the time they finished.
After lying down, Xue Yingxian held Xian Ning close, warming her feet with her legs and wrapping her arms around her completely, making her feel incredibly safe.
“Feeling better?”
Xian Ning burrowed deeper into her embrace, her voice muffled. “Much better.”
Xue Yingxian felt relieved and placed a kiss on her forehead. “That’s good.”
She knew that Xian Ning would tell her what happened when she was ready, so there was no need to rush.
Xue Yingxian was the type of person who ran hot, and she was warm to the touch. It was very comfortable to lie in her arms.
After a while, Xian Ning felt her neck ache. She shifted around to find a more comfortable position, but Xue Yingxian held her in place.
“Xian Ning, stop moving around.”
Her voice was full of a certain helplessness, and it was slightly hoarse.
Xian Ning felt the heat of Xue Yingxian’s breath on the side of her neck, and her body warmed up in response. A strange sensation began to spread in the pit of her stomach.
“Xue Yingxian, you can kiss me, but you can’t do anything else.”
Xue Yingxian gave a wry smile. After a kiss, it wouldn’t be so easy to stop.
Their lips met, and the faint scent of tea filled the air. Xue Yingxian gave a few light pecks before she began to lick Xian Ning’s lips. Once they were moist and soft, she gently pried open the not-so-firm gates of Xian Ning’s teeth. She found the little tongue and entwined with it, robbing her of air.
The moment their lips and tongues tangled, Xian Ning’s head went dizzy. She completely forgot what she had said and didn’t even notice that a button on her pajamas had come undone.
Xue Yingxian’s kisses became more intense and aggressive, as if she wanted to devour Xian Ning.
The air in Xian Ning’s mouth was running out, and she was beginning to have trouble breathing. She reached out and pushed Xue Yingxian away, turning her head to gasp for air. Xue Yingxian took this opportunity to lower her head.
Xian Ning couldn’t help but let out a soft moan. Xue Yingxian looked up at her, her eyes glistening with a strange light.
“Aren’t you afraid your parents will hear?”
Xian Ning immediately tensed up, biting her lower lip and pushing Xue Yingxian away.
This wicked woman. She knows the situation is wrong, yet she’s still teasing her.
Xue Yingxian lifted Xian Ning’s hands above her head and continued her deep exploration. A “smacking” sound could be heard in the silent night, and it was incredibly embarrassing.
Xian Ning was powerless. Her only resistance was to protest with her words. But every time she spoke, Xue Yingxian would playfully suck on her a little harder, forcing her to bite down on her lip.
Xue Yingxian left a rosy mark on the fair skin, with a shiny, wet sheen. She let go and took a look, seemingly very pleased with her handiwork.
Xian Ning seized the chance to speak. “Xue Yingxian, you promised you’d be a good girl.”
“Am I not a good girl?” Xue Yingxian leaned in and looked into her eyes. “Sister, think of me, look at me. Forget tonight’s unpleasantness. It’s enough for your eyes and heart to only have me.”
As she finished speaking, her lips fell to Xian Ning’s neck. Xue Yingxian’s canines gently ground against the skin on the side of her neck. Her hand slid down Xian Ning’s spine, touching a handful of warmth.
A low chuckle, filled with seduction, came from her throat.
“It seems Sister is also looking forward to this.”
Xian Ning’s face was already flushed, but now her entire body was on fire. Her fair skin turned pink, and tiny beads of sweat appeared, making her look like a peach blossom drenched in rain.
Xue Yingxian used a little more force with her teeth, gently biting down on the sweet flesh of her neck. At the same time, her palm became moist and slick.
Xian Ning cried out, then quickly bit the back of her hand, trapping the sound in her throat until it became a series of soft whimpers.
A loud clatter was heard from outside. Someone must have gotten up to use the restroom.
Xian Ning was so scared that she closed her eyes, her body tensing up. Xue Yingxian looked at her slightly trembling stomach, and her eyes darkened.
“Xue Yingxian, stop! Someone will hear…”
Xue Yingxian brushed her lips against Xian Ning’s, her voice growing even more hoarse.
“Sister says one thing, but her body seems to have a mind of its own.”
