After Becoming The Young Darling Of A Wealthy Family - Chapter 12
The aroma of the cookies successfully woke up the three little cake rolls. Wen Ruanqing, who woke up first, was hungry, and smelling the scent of the small cookies made her even hungrier.
“Awake, little baby?”
Feng Ye’s voice rang out from above Wen Ruanqing. Before she could clearly see the person, tears were about to fall. This appearance made Feng Ye’s heart soften.
“Are you hungry?”
Feng Ye held Wen Ruanqing in her arms and rocked her back and forth: “My little baby is hungry, time to eat.”
She had the nanny go back to make the milk formula, while she sat on the sofa waiting for the other two children to wake up. Wen Ruanqing sat in her lap. Having just woken up, her emotions were a bit unstable. Now that she was fully awake, she stopped crying, but she sniffed her nose with tears still hanging on her eyelashes, looking as if she had suffered a great grievance.
Feng Ye wiped away the tears from the corners of Wen Ruanqing’s eyes and coaxed her a couple more times. By this time, the nanny had delivered the prepared milk. Just as Wen Ruanqing took the nipple into her mouth, Wen Tingyin and Huo Yinli woke up.
“Mom, you’re back?”
Wen Tingyin sat up, rubbed her eyes, and mumbled: “Are my cookies ready?”
Feng Ye said with a smile: “I heard that there were three great chefs making cookies in here, so of course I had to come and take a look. The small cookies you made are fresh out of the oven, aren’t you going to check them out?”
“Yes!”
Hearing Feng Ye’s words, Wen Tingyin became wide awake instantly. She quickly flipped over, jumped off the sofa, and pulled Huo Yinli toward the kitchen: “Quick, let’s go look!”
Huo Yinli followed along with a dazed expression, before she could even utter a word.
“Mom.”
Wen Ruanqing’s gaze followed Huo Yinli and Wen Tingyin. She tilted her head up and called out, her body leaning in the direction of the kitchen.
I want to go look too.
“Big sister will bring them out in a moment.”
Feng Ye said so, but she carried Wen Ruanqing and followed them anyway.
The shape and taste of the small cookies made this time were both quite good. After Huo Yinli and Wen Tingyin took a bite, they both expressed that they were delicious. Feng Ye also took a piece to taste; it was milky and fragrant, indeed very good.
Everyone had eaten, leaving only Wen Ruanqing who hadn’t eaten yet. She became so anxious that she stopped drinking her milk, shoved the milk bottle into Feng Ye’s arms, and reached out to grab a cookie to eat: “Ah—”
I want to eat too, did you guys not see me?
“Mom.”
Wen Ruanqing was anxious to death, so anxious that she began to imitate a tiger’s roar: “Awoooo, awoooo.”
Feng Ye was stunned by Wen Ruanqing’s behavior and squatted down with amusement: “Are you a little puppy?”
“No, Auntie Feng, she’s a tiger.” Huo Yinli found the little tiger cookie that Wen Ruanqing had made, handed it to Wen Ruanqing, and said, “Tigers call out like ‘awoooo awoooo’.”
Huo Yinli spoke very seriously, causing Feng Ye to shake all over with laughter: “So that’s how it is.”
“Awoooo.”
Wen Ruanqing grabbed that little cookie, imitated the sound once, and then bit down fiercely. Unfortunately, she only had four teeth in total. No matter how crispy and flaky the cookie was, it still had to be softened by her saliva.
“What is this one?”
Feng Ye held up a little puppy cookie and waved it in front of the three children: “Can you tell me?”
“This is a puppy, woof woof woof.”
Wen Tingyin answered for Feng Ye: “Mom doesn’t even know this.”
“Ah, Mom forgot.” Feng Ye looked at Huo Yinli with a smile, “What does Xiao Li think?”
Huo Yinli had just learned it, but the words reached her lips and she held them back. She felt it was a bit strange, so she just shook her head and did not answer.
Seeing that she couldn’t trick them, Feng Ye started to tease Wen Ruanqing: “Does little baby know what this is? This is a puppy, how does a puppy call out?”
“Go…”
Wen Ruanqing tried to pronounce the word “gou” (dog), but she couldn’t say it out loud. So in the end, she could only buried herself bashfully in the crook of Feng Ye’s neck and stopped talking.
封烨 laughed happily, stood up while holding Wen Ruanqing, and said: “Aiya, they are not easy to fool now.”
Wen Tingyin also realized she had been tricked, and stamped her foot in anger: “Mom!”
“Mom really didn’t know, oh.”
“Humph, Huo Yinli, didn’t I get tricked?”
Wen Tingyin started looking for an eyewitness, but Huo Yinli covered her mouth and shook her head, indicating she knew nothing.
Don’t ask, I don’t know anything.
Seeing this, Feng Ye laughed even louder. The kitchen was filled with the fragrance of cookies and the sound of playful banter. The day’s fatigue gradually dissipated in the falling night, and even that bit of illness seemed to have vanished.
In the end, only the chirping of cicadas on the tree branches remained.
During the summer vacation, playing was one thing, but Wen Tingyin and Huo Yinli still had to go to class. On the second day after Wen Ruanqing returned home, she had to see her two older sisters off to school. The longer they spent together, the harder it was to part. In the morning, she watched the vehicle drive away with tearful eyes.
“Mom.”
Wen Ruanqing pouted her lips and looked at Feng Ye: “Sister.”
“Sister went to class, she will be back at noon.” Feng Ye touched Wen Ruanqing’s face. Seeing that Wen Ruanqing’s spirits were low, she thought for a moment and said, “How about I go pick up your two sisters to come home at noon, okay?”
Upon hearing this, Wen Ruanqing instantly smiled. She understood this sentence!
Going to pick up sister to come home.
Just as Wen Ruanqing was reluctant to part with Huo Yinli and Wen Tingyin, the two people in the car were also reluctant to part.
Therefore, during class, their interest was not very high, even though they scored full marks on the classroom quiz.
“Class is dismissed, everyone take a break.”
The moment the teacher’s voice rang out, the classroom became rowdy. Wen Tingyin lay flat on her desk and whispered: “I miss my younger sister, she kissed me last night.”
Huo Yinli was doing her homework and ignored Wen Tingyin.
“Humph, humph.”
Wen Tingyin whimpered twice and sat up straight. Just as she was about to write her class assignment, an unfamiliar person sat down in front of her. This class did not look at age, but at ability. Both she and Huo Yinli belonged to the type with extremely high learning talent, so they were the youngest in this class.
“Hello, is there something wrong?”
Wen Tingyin looked at the other person with a puzzled expression: “Are you going to sit here from now on?”
The girl who sat down was seven years old this year, named Zhao Chi. Before Huo Yinli and Wen Tingyin transferred in, she had always been the top student in the class. Coupled with her family’s spoiling, she was also a little tyrant.
“You are not allowed to do your homework anymore.”
Zhao Chi crossed her arms, tilted her head up, and wore a haughty expression: “I can give you money, I want to be first place.”
Wen Tingyin widened her eyes and exchanged a look with Huo Yinli. They both saw incomprehension in each other’s eyes.
Wen Tingyin felt that she was too young, otherwise why would she not understand what the other party was saying?
“My mother said that getting first place relies on ability, I don’t want money.”
Wen Tingyin had known since she was young that her family had money, the Feng family had money, and the Wen family had money. She truly had no interest in money.
“Humph, anyway, just listen to me, otherwise I will tell my mother that you are bullying me!”
Since childhood, Zhao Chi got whatever she wanted, and her family members never disobeyed her. This resulted in her overbearing and arrogant personality.
Huo Yinli put down her pen, feeling rather unhappy: “Class is about to start.”
“Did you hear me? You are not allowed to steal my first place!”
Zhao Chi directly tore up Wen Tingyin’s exercise book, stood up, and snorted: “If you don’t listen, I will have my mother look for trouble with your family, and then you will get beaten up.”
“Even complaining to the teacher is useless.” Zhao Chi looked at the teacher on the podium with an arrogant and air of superiority, “My mother can make the teacher pack up and leave.”
The teacher, who originally wanted to say a couple of words, held back. The teacher knew that the children in this classroom were all rich or noble, and not a single one could be offended.
Wen Tingyin completely lost her smile. She could not comprehend Zhao Chi’s words at all; she only knew that the homework she had worked hard to write was torn up. She had never suffered this kind of grievance since she was a child.
“No need to look for your mother.”
Wen Tingyin looked at her smartwatch. Just now, Feng Ye had sent her a message saying she was bringing her younger sister to pick them up, and her younger sister had bought little cakes.
She looked at Zhao Chi, then looked toward the bodyguards who were about to rush in. She directly dialed a phone call to Feng Ye, her tone calm: “Mom—”
“I am being bullied.”
