Auntie tidied everything up and then left. Grandma sat waiting in the house, feeling excited.

The sound of a key unlocking the door came from outside. Grandma quickly and agilely stood up, mumbling, “It must be the two children back.”

The door opened. Ye Qin was the first to rush over and hug Grandma, her eyes instantly becoming moist. “Grandma, I’ve missed you so much.”

“My Qinqin, Grandma has missed you too.” As she said this, Grandma looked up and saw Shen Lu still standing at the door. She quickly beckoned her over, and when Shen Lu approached, she grabbed her hand. “Grandma misses you just the same, Lulu.”

“Hurry in, hurry in. I asked the auntie to prepare lots and lots of dishes for you today.” With that, Grandma eagerly held onto Ye Qin and Shen Lu, pulling them toward the inner room, extremely welcoming.

“Thank you, Grandma!” Shen Lu smiled.

Ye Qin glanced at her, her eyes full of doting affection. She was a little surprised at how familiar Shen Lu had become with Grandma already.

“Go wash your hands quickly, it’s time to eat.”

“Okay, Grandma.”

“Look at you, you’ve gotten so thin since I last saw you.” Grandma put several pieces of meat into Shen Lu’s bowl.

Shen Lu held her bowl, feeling very touched by the meat, but she didn’t have the appetite to eat so much.

Then she heard Grandma start scolding Ye Qin, which caught her, who was eating peacefully, completely off guard.

“Did you bully Lulu again!”

“No way, I didn’t.” Ye Qin innocently refuted.

“I think you did.” Grandma finished speaking and looked at Shen Lu on the side. “Tell Grandma, does she not give you food usually? Look how thin you’ve gotten.”

“Work?” Grandma’s gaze fell on Ye Qin again. “Are you assigning Lulu too much work usually? You don’t know how to cherish her at all. How will she have a good life with you later?”

Shen Lu secretly peeked at Ye Qin, deeply sympathizing with her current predicament.

But inwardly, she couldn’t help but secretly chuckle. Ye Qin’s expression seemed to be telling her, go ahead and mock me, wait till I deal with you later.

Finally, that topic passed. Grandma quickly turned to another subject.

“Qinqin, when are you and Lulu planning to hold the wedding? You’re a public figure; it’s not easy for someone to follow you without a proper title, hiding and dodging, and bearing such great pressure.”

Shen Lu was startled upon hearing this and quickly said, “Grandma, there’s no rush for the wedding, no rush. Our family isn’t in a hurry either.”

Ye Qin put down her chopsticks. “Grandma, you know I’m a public figure now. Because the competition is fierce right now, I can’t disclose everything at this critical juncture. When the time is right, I will give Lulu a wedding.”

Hearing this, Shen Lu secretly glanced at her. Although she knew this was unlikely to happen in the near future, hearing her say it in person still made her heart happy.

After dinner, Ye Qin and Shen Lu were responsible for clearing the tableware and table, cooperating to clean up, and then they watched TV and chatted with Grandma for a while, supervised Grandma taking her medication, and sent her back to her room to rest.

Before leaving, Grandma gave another instruction, “I had the auntie change the sheets and duvet covers in your room to clean ones during the day.”

“You two must sleep together, do you hear me? Be more intimate; that way, your feelings will get better and better!”

As the words came out, the faces of the two people standing at the door instantly flushed red.

“Grandma…”

“Hahahahaha…”

“Grandma, get some rest!”

With that, they quickly closed the door and scurried away.

Ye Qin’s face was red, and she was a little embarrassed. “My grandma is just like that; her thinking is quite advanced. Please don’t take offense.”

“No… Grandma is very cute…” Shen Lu lowered her head, fiddling with her fingers.

“Do you shower first, or do I? There’s only one bathroom in this house,” Ye Qin asked.

“You, you go first, Sister Qin. I still need to call Sister Wang to report.”

“Alright then. I’ll wait for you in the room after I’m done.” Ye Qin finished speaking and walked straight into the bedroom.

Unexpectedly, before she could call, Sister Wang had already called her. Shen Lu took her phone out to the balcony to answer.

“Hello, Sister Wang, this is Shen Lu.”

“You’ve arrived in City A, right?”

“We’re at Grandma’s house now. Everything is going smoothly.”

“Good, that’s fine. Seeing you trending this afternoon, I thought something had happened. It seems Qin is in a great mood today. The only person who can make her so happy and relaxed must be her grandma.”

“Alright, you should get some rest too. Take good care of Ye Qin, and her grandma.”

Finally, the call and work report were finished. Shen Lu breathed a sigh of relief.

After the call, Shen Lu stood on the balcony for a while, enjoying the breeze and looking out at the night view of City A. She only went inside when she heard the bathroom door open. Ye Qin came out wearing pajamas, her hair still wet and dripping as she walked. A faint, clean scent quickly filled Shen Lu’s senses.

“I’m done. You can use it,” Ye Qin said, then went into the room to dry her hair.

Shen Lu opened her bag, which was in the living room, took out her pajamas, and turned to enter the bathroom.

The towel was also newly prepared, but apart from Grandma’s personal towel, there was only one set. Moreover, the bright red towel was embroidered with the character  (double happiness) and was somewhat damp, clearly having been used by Ye Qin. This meant she would have to share a towel with her now. Although she thought that since they had already slept together, it was no big deal, yet…

Oops, was her face that red?

Shen Lu stood in front of the mirror, cupping her cheeks with both hands. They were hot enough to boil an egg.

After Ye Qin finished drying her hair, she stood by the bookshelf, pulled out a book, climbed onto the bed, and leaned against the headboard to read. Her long legs were casually crossed, a very seductive sight.

When Shen Lu opened the door after her shower, she happened to see this scene. To prevent Grandma from checking up on them like her own mother did, they had both resigned themselves to sleeping in the same bed.

Shen Lu’s face suddenly turned as red as an apple.

The next second, Ye Qin burst out laughing. “I didn’t think you’d be so easily flustered! It looks like my charm really is great.”
