Chapter 21.2: Housewife 21
Shen Mingzheng slammed his chopsticks onto the table with a sharp clack. His face was white with rage. He pointed at Shen Zeqi, stammering “You…” for a long while before finally blurting out, “You’re a complete psychopath! You’re mentally deranged!”
Shen Mingzheng abandoned his meal and walked over to Shen Shanyu, pulling him down from his chair. Just as he was about to lead the child away, he looked back at Tang Yiqing with lingering resentment. “Are you coming with me to drop off the kid or not?”
Tang Yiqing looked at his indignant face and slowly shook his head. Seeing Shen Mingzheng’s emotions so easily provoked made him feel that the man wasn’t truly devoid of all feelings for him.
Sure enough, Shen Mingzheng’s expression fractured for a moment. “What? Are you actually getting involved with Shen Zeqi for real?”
Tang Yiqing appeared calm on the surface, but his voice was very soft. “Zeqi is right. I am single now.”
Shen Mingzheng stared at Tang Yiqing, his face beginning to flush a deep crimson from fury. “Fine. Fine. Fine!”
He turned and led Shen Shanyu away, grinding his teeth as he chewed over those two syllables. “Zeqi… Zeqi… Calling him so affectionately…”

Tang Yiqing let out a sigh of relief. Shen Mingzheng’s earlier rage had made him nervous and pressured, but more than that, he felt a surge of satisfaction. It caused a ripple in his emotions, which had previously been like stagnant water.
Just then, a hand rested on his shoulder. Shen Zeqi blew a breath toward him, and Tang Yiqing turned around, his ear itching.
Shen Zeqi teased him with a smile. “Let me hear you say ‘Zeqi’ one more time.”
Tang Yiqing froze, his face heating up. He immediately stood up. “I’m finished eating. I’m going upstairs.”
Shen Zeqi didn’t stop him. He rested his chin on his hand, watching Tang Yiqing’s fleeing back as if he were teasing a cat, thoroughly enjoying himself.
He knew Tang Yiqing was using him. The man had learned to be “bad,” but there was nothing wrong with that—it meant he would suffer fewer losses in the future.
Tang Yiqing tried to sort through his thoughts. He felt slightly better; seeing Shen Mingzheng so infuriated because of him for the first time was quite gratifying. He couldn’t help but speculate whether Shen Mingzheng actually cared about him a little.
However, Shen Mingzheng immediately dealt him a blow. While he was sunbathing in the courtyard, he suddenly heard He Chenguang’s voice. At first, he thought it was an illusion.
“Long time no see, Yiqing.”
Tang Yiqing sat up from the lounger, squinting through the sunlight at He Chenguang, who stood outside the umbrella’s shade. It really was him.
He was currently clinging to Shen Mingzheng’s arm quite openly, bringing a somber-looking child along with them.
Tang Yiqing’s eyelashes trembled for a second. His gaze swept back and forth between the two of them before he spoke. “Long time no see.”
Seeing Tang Yiqing’s defeated expression, Shen Mingzheng’s mood—which had been gloomy all day—finally improved. He knew it; Tang Yiqing was just trying to anger him this morning to get his attention.
But two can play at that game. He could handle the pressure; he just didn’t know who would be the one unable to endure it in the end.
“Are you two… together?” Tang Yiqing’s Adam’s apple bobbed slightly, his voice a bit strained.
He Chenguang lifted Shen Mingzheng’s hand and looked at the man beside him with a smile. “I suppose so… what do you say, Mingzheng?”
Shen Mingzheng didn’t speak; his eyes remained fixed on Tang Yiqing.
Tang Yiqing lowered his gaze, no longer looking at them. He murmured softly, “Indeed… you two should have been together long ago…”
Upon hearing this, Shen Mingzheng froze, his eyebrows shooting up. His words came out like knives: “Of course. It was all because of you. You should have vacated the spot much sooner.”
Tang Yiqing turned and walked away. His heart had already been mostly dead; the only difference now was whether it was 80% dead or 90% dead.
Hearing Shen Mingzheng say such things no longer caused much of a reaction; to be precise, he had long since become numb.
Shen Mingzheng watched his back with a dark expression, wanting to chase after him but not knowing what he would do even if he caught him. Just then, He Chenguang tugged his arm, turning him in a different direction. “Mingzheng, give me a proper tour. I didn’t get to see much last time I was here.”
As Tang Yiqing went upstairs, he suddenly felt someone tugging at his pant leg. He looked back and then looked down. Zhou Mo was looking up at him. He was a very cute child, but he lacked the typical liveliness and innocence of youth; his eyes were large but lacked luster.
“Uncle Yiqing, please don’t be sad,” Zhou Mo said.
Tang Yiqing smiled warmly. This little one had come to comfort him. He already had a natural affinity for this child, so he immediately picked him up and couldn’t help but kiss his cheek. “Uncle is fine. Now that you’ve comforted me, I’m not sad anymore.”
Zhou Mo covered his face shyly. Tang Yiqing found him incredibly precious; this was the kind of child he liked, unlike Shen Shanyu. “Momo, why aren’t you in school today?”
Zhou Mo moved his hands. “Mommy didn’t get up today, so he didn’t take me.”
A flash of surprise crossed Tang Yiqing’s face. When he first met Zhou Mo, he had realized He Chenguang didn’t care much for him, but he hadn’t realized it was this careless. This made him feel even more sorry for the child.
“Then let’s have a good time playing today. How about Uncle plays with you?” Tang Yiqing carried him upstairs. His room had many of Shen Shanyu’s discarded toys—plenty of them, and all in good condition.
Zhou Mo wrapped his arms around Tang Yiqing’s neck, leaning against him and secretly sniffing his scent. He thought it smelled wonderful, like the scent of the mother of his dreams… if only Uncle Yiqing were his mommy…
Tang Yiqing didn’t go downstairs all day. Whether he didn’t want to see He Chenguang and Shen Mingzheng, or he was hiding in sorrow—there were many ways to interpret his absence. He didn’t care at all, focusing entirely on playing with Zhou Mo in the room.
Tang Yiqing thoroughly enjoyed his leisure time with the child. Zhou Mo wasn’t like Shen Shanyu, who wouldn’t let him touch his toys and would scream if even the slightest thing went against his wishes. Zhou Mo was well-behaved and even tried to make him happy; this was the child he had always wanted.
It wasn’t until dinner that Tang Yiqing brought Zhou Mo downstairs. At the dining table, Shen Shanyu was sitting with the other two in a row, looking like a family of three.
The situation was now the exact opposite of the morning; He Chenguang had taken his place.
Tang Yiqing sat across from them with Zhou Mo. He didn’t have any particular thoughts about the scene; he just felt that Zhou Mo was quite pitiful to have such a biological mother.
The “family of three” was seemingly harmonious. Tang Yiqing had no appetite and simply kept putting food on Zhou Mo’s plate. He noticed Shen Shanyu’s unfriendly gaze. It was as if even though the boy didn’t like his mother, he was still very possessive. Last time, because he hugged Zhou Mo, Shen Shanyu said he wasn’t allowed to hug him anymore. He didn’t know what kind of fuss the boy would make this time, but he wasn’t going to worry about it regardless.
He Chenguang was still coaxing Shen Shanyu to eat in a soft, gentle voice when the boy began staring straight at Tang Yiqing and Zhou Mo. Within moments, tears began to fall rapidly.
Tang Yiqing acted as if he saw nothing, continuing to take care of the child beside him. The tears of a child who had never stood on his side were worthless.
The massive table separated them. The people were displaced, looking like two different families forced to share a single table.
The sound of leather shoes echoed in the hall like a gust of wind. Shen Zeqi had returned, looking travel-worn. He smelled of medicine, likely having just come from the hospital.
“Oh, looks like we have guests,” Shen Zeqi said, immediately sitting down next to Tang Yiqing.
Shen Mingzheng’s face instantly dropped. “Weren’t you supposed to not be coming back tonight?”
Shen Zeqi gave a “tsk.” “Are you investigating me?”
Shen Mingzheng looked speechless. “Your treatment schedule is practically hanging on the wall. Who doesn’t know it?”
Shen Zeqi snapped his fingers, summoning a servant. “Take these two kids aside to eat. This is adult talk time now.”
The servant immediately led them away. He Chenguang looked at the man sitting opposite him, holding his breath slightly. He had heard rumors about the Second Young Master Shen’s poisonous tongue.
Even though he had prepared himself, he still underestimated Shen Zeqi’s offensive power. Shen Zeqi tilted his chin toward Shen Mingzheng and asked casually, “What’s this one for? Selling himself?”
Tang Yiqing nearly choked on his food. Shen Mingzheng and He Chenguang’s faces turned red with anger instantly.
Clearly, He Chenguang was more used to socializing and seeing the world. He was the first to regain his composure and said with a smile, “Of course not. Mingzheng knows exactly what kind of person I am—absolutely clean.”
Shen Zeqi remained unimpressed. “Your aura feels quite like it. Mingzheng is surrounded by social butterflies; I can understand him wanting a change of pace once in a while.”
“Shen Zeqi! Have you had enough!” Shen Mingzheng roared.
“I’m just thinking about everyone’s health. Mingzheng, I’m not just talking for my own sake—don’t bring just anyone home. You don’t know if they’re carrying diseases,” Shen Zeqi said with a smirk. “Mom and Dad would definitely scold you if they saw this. You’re the only idiot who gets fooled by a bitch.”
“You know exactly who he is! Don’t play dumb!” Shen Mingzheng shouted angrily.
Shen Zeqi gave another “tsk.” “A low-tier product like this can only fool someone like you. Dressing up like an upper-class socialite when he’s actually just a high-end hooker. Only a low-life like you would find that appealing. Are you really a Shen? How is your taste so low?”
The table fell silent. Shen Mingzheng and He Chenguang’s faces were turning the color of purple eggplants. Shen Zeqi’s words were incredibly vulgar; Shen Mingzheng and He Chenguang were no match for him, left only to tremble with rage.
At this point, Tang Yiqing stood up, breaking the deadlock. He said, “I’m finished. Take your time.”
As he turned, Shen Zeqi brushed his hand against Tang Yiqing’s waist. “Go take a bath first. I’ll come find you later. I’m sleeping in your room tonight.”
Tang Yiqing paused for a second but said nothing as he went upstairs. He Chenguang was stunned; things were developing faster than he could follow. Wasn’t this Shen Mingzheng’s brother…?
“You… are… going to… Tang Yiqing’s room… tonight?” Shen Mingzheng asked through gritted teeth.
Shen Zeqi nodded as if it were the most natural thing in the world. “Why else? Did you think I’ve been joking with you this whole time?”
Shen Mingzheng’s pheromone pressure began to leak out uncontrollably. If it weren’t for the fact that three Shen sons couldn’t have two in the hospital at once, he really would have smashed a fist into that face. Originally, he intended to send He Chenguang back after dinner, but now it seemed that wasn’t necessary…
Shen Zeqi spoke again. “I heard you’ve never stayed in Tang Yiqing’s bedroom. That’s perfect—I won’t even have to move things. From now on, I’m the only Alpha allowed in there.”
Tang Yiqing, who had already reached his room and was about to change clothes, heard the system notification.

Bruh idk how to feel about the other brother.
On one hand, he’s an ass for harassing Tang and on the other hand, he’s also a good teammate… gathering so many pleasure points with words alone.
Fatty Pig teammate 😭
