After a Flash Marriage with a Professor - Chapter 49
Chapter 49: Stealing the Moon
“A reward… one session of night class?” Ming Shu asked in shock, thinking she had misheard.
“Mhm.”
Shen Junlan smiled and leaned down to kiss Ming Shu, but Ming Shu turned her head to dodge and pressed, “Didn’t you say night class was a punishment before?”
“Incorrect.” Shen Junlan stated precisely, “The time it was a punishment was not night class.”
Ming Shu pursed her lips.
“Don’t be unhappy. Night class is for the better practice of normal married life. Because my wife doesn’t understand, she needs to take lessons. Before you’ve completely learned, no skipping class.”
Ming Shu’s small face scrunched up, and she pouted in protest, “But, I’m no longer Professor Shen’s student, Professor Shen, you can’t be like this, I need freedom, nighttime freedom!”
Shen Junlan stared at Ming Shu’s moist lips, nodding with a smile.
Ming Shu looked at her suspiciously, “Professor Shen, you agreed?”
“You’ll be free after you finish the class.” Shen Junlan smiled.
Ming Shu felt as if she were facing a formidable enemy again, leaning her head back and nervously saying, “Professor Shen, the frequency is too high, it should be lowered a bit.”
“A bit?”
“Yes, a bit.” Ming Shu nodded emphatically, “For example, tonight, we can keep it simple and cozy.”
“Alright, Wife, I accept your democratic suggestion.”
“Really? Professor Shen, you’re so good!” Ming Shu quickly heaped praise.
“We’ll file it away first, and make up for this session during the next night class.”
Ming Shu: “!!!”
How could she do that?
Professor Shen was practically a demon teacher at night, and with two classes stacked, Ming Shu couldn’t imagine.
Was it really okay for Professor Shen to have such a strong desire in that aspect?
“Why the long face?” Shen Junlan asked, knowing the answer, hooking her finger to tickle Ming Shu’s chin. Ming Shu felt ticklish and tried to dodge, but it was no use. She was held in Professor Shen’s arms, unable to escape the professor’s gentle net.
Ming Shu gave up struggling, carefully protecting the flowers in her arms, letting Professor Shen hold her.
“Did you go to the flower shop after work specifically to buy flowers for me?” Shen Junlan released one hand, using the other to embrace Ming Shu as they headed towards the bed.
“Yes.” The thought of having to make up a class made Ming Shu feel a little low-spirited. She felt as if she had already anticipated what two stacked night classes in the future would do to her body.
Like an old, poorly maintained wooden frame that would fall apart the moment a maintenance worker touched it.
Could she withstand two night classes at once?
Ming Shu couldn’t help but worry about her future.
“Wife, what shall we do now?”
“Hmm…” Ming Shu regained her composure, realizing she had already been led onto the bed by Professor Shen, and the bouquet had been placed on the bedside table by the professor.
“Talk.”
Shen Junlan thought for a moment, “Like the ancients, holding a candle and talking through the night?”
Ming Shu nodded. Shen Junlan felt that purely chatting was a bit too bland. She was no longer the initial, repressed professor who hadn’t “opened the meat” or known the wonderful taste of romance.
With her soft and sweet little rabbit wife by her side, her thoughts inevitably began to soar.
Her heart was already fluttering. Ming Shu’s collar wasn’t tucked in properly, providing a private viewing line for her. The two little rabbits she carefully tended to were tucked behind the sides, only showing a bit of rounded white.
“Just purely chatting, Wife?” Shen Junlan felt thirsty, her skin also craved. She took Ming Shu’s hand, holding it with both of hers. It was the soft touch she particularly liked.
“Does Professor Shen have any better suggestions?” Ming Shu asked. Since Professor Shen was willing to compromise, she was also willing to consider the professor’s opinion.
“How about playing a game?”
“Is there a punishment?” Ming Shu asked timidly.
“Of course.”
“Can we not use night class as the punishment?”
“To satisfy my wife. What game do you want to play?”
“Can we play Plants vs. Zombies?”
“Plants vs… Zombies?” Shen Junlan showed a flicker of an uncertain smile and reached up to flick Ming Shu’s nose.
“Wife, I seriously suspect you want to prolong a round of the game.”
“Then Rhythm Master? That’s fast, the length of one song. We’ll compete on who gets the higher score.”
The games Ming Shu mentioned were all games that children used to like to play. Shen Junlan remembered when Jiajia had come over before, nagging her to play games, and they were all dating strategy games.
Her little rabbit wife was so innocent, even the games she played were so basic. No wonder she didn’t understand that side of things at all. Shen Junlan’s heart filled with loving pity, and she couldn’t resist reaching out to pinch Ming Shu’s cheek.
“Good girl, I’m fine with anything.”
“Good… girl…?” Ming Shu opened her eyes wide, looking at Professor Shen.
“Mhm, my good wife.”
Ming Shu simultaneously shrunk her shoulders and neck, “That’s a bit cheesy.”
Shen Junlan called her “good girl” a few more times in a row, only stopping when Ming Shu was blushing fiercely from the teasing.
Ming Shu shyly lowered her head and downloaded Rhythm Master on her phone. This was a game where you simulated playing the piano with your fingers. The fingers had to keep up with the rhythm, testing dexterity and reaction speed.
Shen Junlan recalled Ming Shu’s performance when she had taken the initiative before, and kindly reminded her, “Wife, are you sure you want to play this game? Might it be unfair to you?”
“No, if I truly lose, I concede.” Ming Shu was confident. When she was in elementary, junior high, and high school, she didn’t have many friends. After school, she often played simple single-player games with Wen Xuan. She didn’t have a phone before college. Whatever Wen Xuan played, she would play on Wen Xuan’s phone. The two often competed. Wen Xuan knew to take care of his sister, so when playing with her, he would first hide some of the more violent shooting games and download some dress-up games that many girls liked for her. However, Ming Shu wasn’t very interested. The need for microtransactions also deterred her. Her family was poor, she wouldn’t top up, nor would she let Wen Xuan use money to top up for her. They still had fun playing simple single-player games like Plants vs. Zombies, Fruit Ninja, and Rhythm Master. Wen Xuan often lost to her because he was impatient and made operational mistakes, but they didn’t set any punishments or rewards back then.
Competing with Professor Shen this time, Ming Shu felt it was a good opportunity to probe. She was already struggling to figure out how to ask Professor Shen about the rose scar.
“Professor Shen, let’s use the Truth or Dare rules. After one round, the loser accepts the punishment, choosing Truth or Dare. The specific punishment is decided by the winner, and it must be within a reasonable limit, not too excessive.”
“Okay.” Shen Junlan agreed. Since Ming Shu was in the mood, she was certainly willing to play along. In all likelihood, this could even become a fun game for her and Ming Shu.
“Professor Shen, who goes first?” Ming Shu asked, looking up after the download was complete.
Shen Junlan flexed her fingers and said, “Wife is younger, Wife goes first.”
Ming Shu nodded. She felt that Professor Shen probably hadn’t played this game and shouldn’t rush onto the field. Ming Shu felt a little more confident.
The game began, and the music poured out as Ming Shu’s fingers pressed the falling keys.
Shen Junlan watched from the side with an admiring gaze. Ming Shu’s fingers were quite flexible when playing this game, unlike the clumsy hesitation during that activity. In that matter, Ming Shu was likely still struggling with the mental hurdle. This suggested that Ming Shu might not be suited to be the dominant one. It didn’t matter, she could take care of it.
The song ended, and Ming Shu didn’t miss a single note. Her overall score was decent.
Ming Shu felt that starting out so strong was a bit unfair to Professor Shen, and she said a little awkwardly, “Professor Shen, how about we count this as a warm-up, not the official round.”
Shen Junlan smiled, “Whatever you want, you decide.”
She thought Ming Shu felt she hadn’t performed well and wanted another round, so she let Ming Shu have her way.
Ming Shu started a new song. This time, she deliberately missed a few notes, showing exaggerated surprise on her face and putting a lot of effort into acting out the mistakes. In the end, she got a much worse score than the first time.
Shen Junlan saw through it and suppressed a laugh. Her little rabbit wife was intentionally throwing the game for her; she couldn’t be unappreciative.
“Oh dear, I played even worse in the official competition. Sure enough, this is my true level. Professor Shen, it’s your turn, good luck.”
“Pop~”
A loud sound, very close, coming from her own face. Ming Shu was stunned by the kiss.
Ming Shu raised her hand to touch her face, and her phone dropped. Shen Junlan quickly reached out to catch it and smiled, “A comforting kiss.”
Ming Shu widened her eyes. She didn’t believe it. Professor Shen kissed with such force; she clearly wanted to kiss her!
She wouldn’t be soft-hearted next time. She would use all her strength to crush Professor Shen!
Shen Junlan, having stolen a kiss, was in a great mood while playing the game. Except for a mistake at the beginning due to being rusty, the rest of the way was smooth, and her final score was naturally higher than Ming Shu’s.
“I won, Wife.”
Ming Shu was dumbfounded.
“Professor Shen, you’ve played this game before?”
“I played it when I was very young, before I turned 10.”
“Ah… even after not playing for so long, you’re still this good.” Ming Shu couldn’t see any light ahead.
“Choose Truth or Dare?”
“…Truth, I guess.” Ming Shu said uncertainly. She shouldn’t have any secrets from Professor Shen.
“Okay.” Shen Junlan thought for three seconds and chose her question. “Wife, have you ever liked anyone else before?”
Ming Shu pondered. Shen Junlan suddenly regretted asking this question. The longer Ming Shu thought, the more uneasy she felt.
“Do animated characters count?” Ming Shu finally spoke, throwing out a question.
“Who?” Animated characters, Shen Junlan was also wary.
“Have you seen Rainbow Cat and Blue Rabbit Seven Heroes? Professor Shen, I like the Blue Rabbit Princess in it.”
“I think I have.”
Ming Shu felt a sense of finding common ground and excitedly asked, “Then who do you like in it, Professor Shen? Do you like Blue Rabbit too?”
Shen Junlan just smiled without speaking, and beckoned Ming Shu with her finger.
Ming Shu curiously leaned closer, and was suddenly pinched on the cheek, supported under the chin, and her lips were completely sealed by Professor Shen’s kiss.
This was an unavoidable kiss. With her soft cheeks pinched, Ming Shu opened her lips, and Professor Shen took the opportunity to rush in, demanding a kiss aggressively. Ming Shu slowly transitioned from passive to active, and when she realized it, she found herself deeply involved.
Shen Junlan looked at Ming Shu’s clear, sparkling eyes, heavily sucking on her cherry lips twice before letting go of Ming Shu.
And, before Ming Shu could protest, she answered with a smile: “I only like this rabbit in front of me.”
Where was the rabbit in front of Professor Shen? Ming Shu looked left and right, then belatedly realized that she was born in the year of the rabbit. Professor Shen had called her “little rabbit wife” before. Did the rabbit refer to her?
Ming Shu was both surprised and happy, yet also shy and annoyed. All the emotions accumulated tonight, halted just before erupting by Professor Shen. The emotions rushed straight to her brain, and Ming Shu’s face flushed bright red.
“You… Professor Shen… you…” Ming Shu raised her hand to point at the big gray wolf who seized the opportunity to get close to the little rabbit.
The big gray wolf smiled gently and gentlemanly held the little white rabbit’s hand.
“Shall we keep playing?” The big gray wolf, who had successfully stolen a second kiss, asked with a smile.
“No more playing.” The little white rabbit withdrew her hand, lay down, pulled the blanket up, and wrapped herself completely in it.
Shen Junlan didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, and tried to pull the blanket, “Wife, don’t suffocate yourself.”
“I won’t. I often sleep like this when it’s cold.” Ming Shu was absolutely determined not to give Professor Shen another chance. She had clearly seen that Professor Shen was a sly big gray wolf. It was agreed they wouldn’t have night class tonight, and indeed they hadn’t, but being intimate like this would still ignite a fire.
Ming Shu was terrified of her body’s natural reaction to Professor Shen’s affection.
Could addiction be contagious?
Ming Shu couldn’t figure it out. Shen Junlan was also worried outside the blanket. She blamed herself for not being able to resist, but facing such a little rabbit wife, who could resist?
“Wife, I promise not to engage in any romantic activity tonight. Let me in.”
“You already have.” Ming Shu tightly clutched the blanket, accusing her in the dark, “And twice!”
“Wife, you are so heartless. You won’t even let me kiss you. How am I supposed to get through this long night?”
Ming Shu: “Get through it like you did when I wasn’t here.”
“It’s so cold outside, Wife, share a bit of the blanket with me.”
Ming Shu secretly extended one hand and felt it. It was indeed cold outside. The air conditioner seemed to be set a bit low.
“Wife~”
Ming Shu couldn’t resist. Still wrapped in the blanket, she poked her head out.
“Wife~”
Ming Shu pulled back the blanket, “I’ll believe you one last time. Keep your word, okay?”
