After a Flash Marriage with a Professor - Chapter 27
Chapter 27: Hide It
Ming Shu’s mind was reeling. Although she was gradually starting to accept Professor Shen’s needs, she still needed time to adapt.
This type of special nightwear was a bit too advanced for her. She simply couldn’t imagine such clothing on Professor Shen, who was otherwise so gentle and dignified in public.
Shen Junlan was very satisfied watching Ming Shu’s crimson face. She thought Ming Shu understood her intention but was just temporarily unable to accept it. She smiled, deciding to give Ming Shu a little more time.
“I’ll take a shower first today,” Shen Junlan said, smiling as she entered the bathroom, leaving Ming Shu alone with the nightwear she was about to put on, allowing her to adapt fully.
Watching the bathroom door close, Ming Shu’s mind was on something else entirely. Hearing the sound of the running water, she confirmed that Professor Shen was taking a shower and likely wouldn’t emerge suddenly. So, Ming Shu rolled the nightwear, which was associated with such a special preference, and quietly stuffed it into her own bag.
Ming Shu’s bag wasn’t big, but the nightwear fit, illustrating how pitifully little fabric it contained. Ming Shu averted her gaze from the bag and then felt she should hide it.
Where to hide it? Nowhere seemed right; she felt certain Professor Shen would find it.
After much agonizing, Ming Shu hid her bag under the bed, deciding to take it out tomorrow before leaving for Lingyu’s birthday celebration.
“Ming Shu,” Shen Junlan called out with expectation, having taken a slightly quicker shower than usual. “I forgot to grab my bathrobe. Could you please bring it for me?”
“Okay, Professor Shen, just a moment!” Ming Shu, who had been squatting to look at the bag under the bed, quickly stood up, rushed to the closet, opened it, and took out a grey bathrobe for Professor Shen.
In the closet, a row of Professor Shen’s bathrobes hung, and they all looked perfectly normal. How could she have taken out that kind of nightwear earlier?
Could it be a special preference that only awakened after marrying her?
Ming Shu carried the grey bathrobe to the bathroom door and knocked. The door opened from the inside, and Professor Shen took the grey bathrobe from her hand.
“Thank you.”
It was all very normal. Everything was normal. Professor Shen seemed completely unconcerned about where that special nightwear had gone.
What on earth was going on?
Ming Shu stared at the bathroom door, thoroughly confused.
Shen Junlan, wearing a proper grey bathrobe, emerged from the bathroom and noticed Ming Shu was staring at her, yet Ming Shu didn’t even try to look away.
“Ming Shu, you should go shower too,” Shen Junlan smiled.
Ming Shu nodded doubtfully and walked toward the bathroom.
“Where is the nightwear I gave you just now?” Shen Junlan noticed Ming Shu’s hands were empty, and the white silk nightwear wasn’t on the bed or anywhere she could see.
Ming Shu’s lips parted slightly, intending to tell a lie, but looking into Professor Shen’s eyes, she couldn’t bring herself to do it. She only shook her head.
Shen Junlan walked up to Ming Shu and took her hand. Clearly, Ming Shu’s hand had just broken into a sweat; she was nervous.
Was she being too impatient?
“Ming Shu, don’t you like that nightwear?” Shen Junlan asked.
Ming Shu watched Shen Junlan’s expression and nodded hesitantly.
“Then we won’t wear it tonight for now. We’ll wear it when you can accept it.”
Like a bolt from the blue, or a sudden awakening, Ming Shu was startled.
What? What did Professor Shen’s words just mean?
That improper nightwear was Professor Shen asking her to wear it?
“Ming Shu?” Shen Junlan felt Ming Shu’s mind wander. She gently held and shook her arms. “Are you alright, Ming Shu?”
Ming Shu slowly shook her head. She felt like something was indeed wrong.
She didn’t understand Professor Shen.
“Go take a shower first. We can talk when you come out.”
Ming Shu entered the bathroom, submerged herself in the bathtub, rested her head against the tub wall, and stared at the bright yet hazy lights through the steaming mist. She began to recall all the moments she had shared with Professor Shen.
From the first time Professor Shen uncontrollably kissed her, to Professor Shen holding and caressing her in bed, to teaching her how to pleasure herself, to actively lying down in front of her, and now, to the extremely revealing nightwear Professor Shen seemed to be guiding her step by step.
This seemed like Professor Shen’s unique ability as a teacher: using her methods to quickly guide a student into a learning state, ensuring they achieve results as fast as possible.
It turned out that Professor Shen was giving her exclusive, systematic love education. Unfortunately, Professor Shen’s gradual approach was still a little too fast for her.
Ever since Professor Shen taught her how to pleasure herself, she would inexplicably feel shy and blush even just taking a shower.
Education on these matters in their country was often lagging; adults were embarrassed to talk about it, and most of the knowledge was gained through children’s autonomous exploration during growth. For a well-behaved child like Ming Shu, who wouldn’t proactively enter a taboo zone, understanding came even slower.
Professor Shen was now teaching by example, and Ming Shu wasn’t entirely repulsed, but she was a little afraid, especially at this rocket-like speed, which felt like pulling up seedlings to help them grow faster.
Ming Shu had clarity now and decided to have a good talk with Professor Shen after her bath.
Outside, Shen Junlan was looking for the white silk nightwear that Ming Shu had hidden. She admitted that her preferences were a little unique, and she admitted that she was a bit impatient with Ming Shu.
But how could she not be impatient after suppressing herself for so many years, especially when the person was Ming Shu a beautiful and lovely girl who could easily stir her desires?
Shen Junlan gave up trying to find the nightwear. She got into bed and hugged the pillow Ming Shu had slept on. Ming Shu was leaving for two days to celebrate Jiang Lingyu’s birthday, which meant she would be alone in this empty room for two days.
Just thinking about it made it difficult. She had managed before; when she was alone, she would drink some red wine, read a book, and if she really couldn’t sleep, she would relieve herself, but her desire wasn’t for herself, so it wasn’t very effective.
The day she reunited with Ming Shu, the dormant volcano that had been repressed in her heart erupted instantly. She wanted Ming Shu.
Perhaps Yu Le was right: being someone’s former teacher yet having those indescribable thoughts about them was perverted. Although the teacher-student relationship had ended, there was always a layer of taboo.
Ming Shu was like a tempting little rabbit, and she was the big bad wolf in sheep’s clothing a carnivorous wolf, no matter how well she disguised herself. She had no interest in being a good wolf; a good wolf wouldn’t catch the little white rabbit, and she was absolutely going to eat the little white rabbit.
So be it, let her be perverted.
Shen Junlan’s self-awareness was clear, and her goal was well-defined. The little rabbit was kind and trustworthy, so she wasn’t afraid the little rabbit would run away. The little rabbit wouldn’t run, Shen Junlan was very confident.
In contrast, Ming Shu’s bath today was a little longer than usual, as if she was deliberately stalling, trying to avoid something.
Shen Junlan knew what Ming Shu was running from, and she wasn’t angry at all. She remembered Ming Shu hadn’t taken a bathrobe with her when she went in. Opening the closet, she chose a relatively normal nightgown for Ming Shu—it wasn’t entirely normal, but at least the necessary areas were covered with fabric, just a minimal amount.
When Ming Shu asked for help, Shen Junlan immediately handed Ming Shu the silver-white nightdress she had prepared earlier. Ming Shu only opened a tiny crack in the door to take the dress in.
Thank goodness! Professor Shen hadn’t found the previous improper nightwear and had exchanged it for a new one. The one she held now was made of translucent, shimmering silver gauze, like a gown celebrities would wear on the red carpet, but the material was extremely soft and comfortable to wear.
The fabric was thin, covering and yet not covering. Professor Shen seemed to still be the same Professor Shen, but this time, at least, she was a bit more reserved.
Ming Shu took a deep breath, opened the bathroom door, and walked out holding the gown-like nightwear. Professor Shen’s gaze, the moment she opened the door, fell on her without any disguise, like a tiger or a wolf.
The cool material of the nightdress on her skin made Ming Shu suddenly tremble slightly.
“Ming Shu, come here.” Shen Junlan almost got out of bed to carry Ming Shu straight up.
“Short is the time of spring nights.” (A poetic phrase meaning time is precious/fleeting.)
Ming Shu’s face turned pink from the teasing, and she nervously clutched the hem of her skirt.
It was too slow. Shen Junlan finally couldn’t hold back. She got out of bed, scooped Ming Shu up in a bridal carry, and placed her on her lap once they were on the bed, where Ming Shu’s skirt bloomed in her hands.
“Professor Shen!” Ming Shu’s skin beneath the nightdress felt the searing heat of Professor Shen’s hands. Their presence was too strong to ignore, and she uncontrollably shivered.
Clutching Professor Shen’s shoulder, she asked, “What did you do during the day, Professor Shen?”
Shen Junlan wouldn’t fall for the diversion. The nightdress she personally chose for Ming Shu was not only beautiful and perfectly suited to Ming Shu’s curvy figure, but it was also very elastic. It wouldn’t restrict Ming Shu, and it also allowed a place for her to enter, like right now.
“During the day, I read the book on the bedside table and did some translation work. Then Aunt Zhang called me for lunch. During lunch, a certain little rabbit said I was very ‘shou’. At this, Shen Junlan squeezed Ming Shu firmly. Ming Shu winced in slight pain. Shen Junlan immediately kissed Ming Shu, who was immobilized and enduring Professor Shen’s many-faceted affection.
“It was just a typo. Why are you so fixated on my mistake, Professor Shen?” Ming Shu asked aggrievedly.
Shen Junlan eased the pressure of her hands, gently comforting her. “Because Little Friend Ming Shu is a good student. Good students rarely make mistakes. When a teacher wants to punish a good student, they can only hold onto this small mistake. Strictly speaking, it’s not a small mistake. The teacher has the responsibility and obligation to help you correct your erroneous cognition.”
“Erroneous cognition?” Ming Shu shifted uneasily in Professor Shen’s grasp, feeling helpless and scared.
Shen Junlan, with the gentle patience of a good teacher, explained, “You said I was ‘shou’.”
“I didn’t! It was a typo!” Ming Shu emphasized, protesting.
“But you genuinely believed it today, didn’t you, Ming Shu?”
“If you didn’t believe it, you wouldn’t have thought that nightwear was for the teacher to wear herself,” Shen Junlan said with a smile, giving another gentle squeeze.
Ming Shu slightly frowned in pain. Professor Shen’s punishment wasn’t severe; it was much lighter than when her mother hit her at home, but it still wasn’t pleasant.
However, Ming Shu still wanted to argue; she felt so wronged.
“It’s not my fault for misunderstanding. Professor Shen was the one who did things that cause misunderstanding first,” Ming Shu pouted. Even with restricted movement, her mouth wouldn’t concede.
Professor Shen laughed, leaned in to kiss her, and gently stroked her hand, tenderly comforting her after the punishment. “The teacher is indeed partly at fault in this matter, Ming Shu. How do you want to punish the teacher?”
Ming Shu said, “I don’t want to punish the teacher. I just want the teacher to let me off tonight. I don’t want to look strange tomorrow when I go to celebrate Lingyu’s birthday.”
“Look strange?” Shen Junlan pondered seriously.
Ming Shu nodded firmly, convinced that Professor Shen was a reasonable person and would surely let her off.
But the next second, Professor Shen’s lips pressed against the side of her neck and sucked hard.
“Professor Shen, what are you doing?” Ming Shu asked in fear, a tingling sensation running through her body.
“Don’t be afraid. Just leaving a seal.”
