- Chapter 29 - Senior Sister x Junior Sister
Holding the teacup, Su Mi suddenly burst into a wry smile. She felt as though she was hallucinating. “What?”
At that moment, Wanqi Yue had both hands braced on the table, leaning forward slightly. She lowered her head and whispered something under her breath, then busied herself by eagerly refilling the cup in Su Mi’s hand.
Su Mi stared at her fixedly. It wasn’t until Wanqi Yue was about to look up that Su Mi hurriedly cast her eyes down as if to hide something. Seeing the slight ripple on the surface of the tea, she didn’t think twice before draining it in one gulp.
The intense, choking pungency erupted on the tip of her tongue again, followed by a hint of bitterness. However, she no longer had the mental capacity to worry about why the “wine” tasted wrong.
Wanqi Yue’s voice reached her ears again, clearer and closer this time.
“Senior Sister, can I kiss you?”
Su Mi was certain she hadn’t misheard this time. She slowly lifted her eyes to look at the girl, her lips moving instinctively.
Up close, Wanqi Yue’s eyes were bright, her brow filled with a vivid, spirited energy. At this moment, she felt her mind was exceptionally clear, she could even recall the words her Fifth Senior Sister had pulled her aside to say. Fifth Senior Sister said that for someone with a temperament like the Eldest Senior Sister, a lack of rejection was often a sign of acceptance.
Thinking of this, Wanqi Yue was suddenly filled with boundless courage. She stood on her tiptoes slightly, leaning herself toward the other woman.
Su Mi watched her approach. Logic told her to step back, but her legs stood frozen in place. Her grip on the teacup tightened, and a thousand strands of uncontrollable, unfamiliar emotions sprouted in her heart.
However, the sensation that touched her cheek was gone in an instant like being lightly brushed by a falling petal.
Su Mi’s long lashes trembled. Her half-closed eyes held a trace of disappointment and confusion.
Seeing that she truly hadn’t been rejected, Wanqi Yue’s smile deepened. A hint of craftiness danced in her ink-dark eyes, making her look even more vivid.
Su Mi remained silent with her eyes downcast. It took a long time before there was a change.
As the twilight blended together, a fleeting smile drifted through Su Mi’s narrow eyes like the elegance of spring wind after the snow melts, breathtakingly beautiful.
Wanqi Yue was momentarily dazed. She pursed her lips, her gaze falling once again on the other’s mouth. “Senior Sister, can you kiss me, too?”
Thud.
Su Mi placed the teacup back on the table with unhurried calm. Her expression returned to its usual indifference, but a sharp, slightly aggressive glimmer traced the depths of her eyes.
“How should I kiss you?” The words wrapped around her teeth as she spoke, carrying a hint of casualness.
The question stumped Wanqi Yue for a second, but she soon realized the implication. She was a bit lightheaded from the unexpected surge of joy. “Just… just like I did.”
But Su Mi continued to ask, “How?”
Already woozy, Wanqi Yue grew confused. She knit her brow slightly, blinked her dark, bright eyes, and plucked up the courage to lean in and kiss Su Mi’s cheek again as a demonstration. “Like this.”
The light in Su Mi’s eyes flickered. She felt as though a string in her mind was on the verge of snapping. She took a deep breath, barely managing to restrain herself. “…That’s not right.”
“Not right?” Wanqi Yue’s mouth hung open slightly, her expression vacant.
Su Mi’s eyelids drooped, casting a shadow over her pale eyes that held a dangerous, trembling intensity.
She raised her hand, pressing her palm against Wanqi Yue’s neck. Her thumb brushed over the edge of the girl’s jaw with a weight that was neither light nor heavy. She told her, in a voice deep and firm: “That’s not right.”
Su Mi’s gaze gradually lowered from those watery black eyes to the rosy lips. Her breath hitched. The thumb that had been stroking the jaw moved to the soft corner of the mouth, rubbing gently with a sense of restrained endurance.
She slowed her movements and leaned down, slowly lifting her eyes to meet the girl’s gaze. “Do you want to know how to kiss?”
The two were so close that their exhaled breaths mingled with the scents of different wines. Wanqi Yue didn’t know if she was intoxicated by the alcohol or mesmerized by the beauty before her. “I do”
The rest of her sentence was swallowed between their lips as a soft, warm sensation bloomed.
Su Mi’s warm palm cradled the side of Wanqi Yue’s face. She slowly sucked and kissed the soft lips, her movements showing a hint of greenness but no lack of meticulous care.
Wanqi Yue’s eyes fluttered shut, her eyelashes trembling. The soft friction on her lips seemed to remind her of the unreality of the moment, yet the features of the person before her were so clear and familiar. The nerves that had been agitated by the fruit wine seemed to stop their frantic activity, she felt her head grow dizzy. After closing her eyes, she stumbled through an attempt to respond.
Sensing the response, Su Mi couldn’t help but wrap her arm around the girl’s lower back, pulling her closer. The emotions that had nowhere to go finally found an outlet, yet she still exercised restraint, refusing to let them flood out all at once.
Perhaps because of the wine, Wanqi Yue belatedly felt a sense of thirst. Her lips occasionally caught a hint of moisture, but it wasn’t nearly enough. She became anxious yet lacked technique, kissing haphazardly until she tentatively stuck out the tip of her tongue and gave a light lick.
Their pressed lips separated briefly, hot breath puffing against each other’s faces.
Su Mi stared intently at the girl’s slightly parted lips. The hand cradling her face slid to the back of her neck. With a slight pressure, she pulled the girl toward her. Her warm, thin lips once again captured the rosy ones. This time, it was bolder than the initial innocence, showing a tendency to deepen. A nimble tongue slipped into the other’s mouth, tentatively touching, until it began to clumsily slide and entwine.
The slight bitterness from that cup of wine was passed over, while the faint sweetness of fruit from Wanqi Yue’s mouth seeped out. The two flavors blended together, indistinguishable.
The two were in a posture of seamless intimacy, their bodies pressed silently against one another.
Because they held the position for too long, Wanqi Yue knit her brows and let out a soft whimper.
Sensing this, Su Mi pulled back slightly. Her breathing was disordered. Her usually cold eyes were stained with the colors of passion, appearing decadent with a hint of aggression.
She looked at the girl’s wet lips and couldn’t help but swallow, her voice husky: “What’s wrong?”
“My neck hurts from leaning back.” Wanqi Yue’s eyes had become misty.
Hearing this, Su Mi gave a low hum of acknowledgement. She shifted her hands to Wanqi Yue’s waist and, with a slight surge of strength, lifted her onto the table so they were at eye level. Before Wanqi Yue could speak, Su Mi covered her lips again, their teeth and tongues tangling.
Wanqi Yue placed her hands on Su Mi’s shoulders, intending to close her eyes and continue in her daze, but out of the corner of her eye, she seemed to see something.
“Big… Big Senior Sister…” She managed to gasp out during a gap for air. “I think I see… Coal Ball hitting the wall…”
Only then was Su Mi forced to stop. She worked hard to steady her breathing and the rising heat in her body. She wiped the traces of moisture from the corner of Wanqi Yue’s mouth before turning her head to look behind her.
In an inconspicuous corner of the room, Coal Ball who had not received an invisibility command was currently “facing the wall to reflect on its sins.” It had temporarily shut off its external hearing, but it didn’t dare turn around, for fear of seeing something it shouldn’t and couldn’t see.
It had watched every step of this development; it just didn’t know at which step things had gone so wrong to turn out like this.
Just as Coal Ball was about to continue banging its head, it felt itself being lifted up.
Su Mi’s cold eyes were tinged with a chill as she looked at Coal Ball with a hint of scrutiny.
Coal Ball tried its best to shrink itself, but it was futile.
【I swear, Master, I didn’t see or hear a thing! According to the contract, I will unconditionally protect the legal privacy of the System Master and will never leak a single detail!】
Coal Ball desperately tried to show its loyalty, signaling that it was on her side.
Su Mi’s expression didn’t change upon hearing this. She simply carried it to the door. “Go invisible and stay outside. You aren’t allowed in.”
Coal Ball obediently hopped away, jumping as far as it could.
Only then did Su Mi turn back into the room. Wanqi Yue was still sitting on the table in the same position, looking half-lost in thought. The previous excitement and joy had mostly faded, replaced by a growing sense of unease and displacement.
In her confused state, she couldn’t even clearly remember how this had all started. She had only meant to kiss a cheek… how did it… how did it become this? And even if she had invited it, why would the Eldest Senior Sister kiss her like that?
Wanqi Yue felt her head couldn’t keep up; she couldn’t untangle the logic.
It wasn’t until she felt Su Mi approach again that Wanqi Yue snapped back to reality like waking from a dream.
“Big… Big Senior Sister,” Wanqi Yue couldn’t help but sound nervous. Her hands gripped the edge of the table, and her gaze flickered away when she looked at Su Mi.
Suddenly, her hand brushed against something cold, it was the wine flask she had brought back. Her heart began to throb wildly again as she remembered something.
“Mm.” The look Su Mi gave her was filled with a tenderness that wasn’t there before.
Su Mi pushed past Wanqi Yue’s knees to get closer. She was about to speak, but Wanqi Yue beat her to it: “Do you want more to drink!”
Su Mi glanced at the wine flask in the girl’s hand before looking back at her. “Why do you keep wanting me to drink this?”
Wanqi Yue swallowed nervously. “Because it tastes good?”
“Is that so? But I didn’t taste the fruit fragrance you mentioned,” Su Mi reached out to take the flask, lifting her eyes to look at her. “I did, however, taste it in your mouth.”
She said this with total seriousness. In contrast, Wanqi Yue’s face flushed deep red, and she was speechless for a long time.
“Why did you want me to drink it?” Su Mi pressed closer again.
Those two cups of strong wine had stripped away her usual aloofness, replacing it with a somewhat overbearing aura.
Wanqi Yue decided to be stubborn to the end. “Because it tastes good.”
Seeing this, Su Mi didn’t push her further. She stepped back slightly, tilted her head to take a sip of the wine, and then, with one hand behind Wanqi Yue’s head, leaned in and transferred every drop into her mouth.
The unfamiliar, harsh taste of the strong liquor made Wanqi Yue frown, but she was forced to swallow it down in small gulps.
“Is this your ‘delicious fruit wine’?” Su Mi asked, her nose brushing against Wanqi Yue’s after releasing her.
Wanqi Yue felt a bit wronged by the unpleasant sensation in her mouth. Seeing this, Su Mi reached out to pour a cup of tea, half-holding the girl while feeding it to her.
Only after finishing two cups of tea did Wanqi Yue feel a bit better.
“I… I heard it from the other senior sisters,” Wanqi Yue’s eyes became watery, her breath smelling of wine. “They said that drinking this makes people tell the truth, so I secretly brought it back.”
Su Mi gave a low hum, a half-smile in her eyes. “You wanted to hear me tell the truth?”
Wanqi Yue nodded.
Su Mi wiped away the moisture clinging to the girl’s eyelashes and asked, “What truth do you want to hear?”
Countless questions flashed through Wanqi Yue’s mind in an instant. Finally, they converged into just one word.
“Everything.”
I want to hear all of your truths.
