[ABO] The Despised One Becomes an Internet Sensation After Marriage - Chapter 49
Chapter 49
The atmosphere had built up to this point; by all accounts, it was time for another confession.
Xu Zhimian looked at Fu Shiyan with high expectations.
“Your phone should be fully charged now.” Fu Shiyan patted his backside. “Go on, it’s in the lounge.”
“???”
Xu Zhimian’s face was a map of disbelief. The mood was right there!!
Fu Shiyan acted as if he didn’t notice the shock on the Omega’s face. “Hmm? Don’t want it? Who was the one clamoring for their phone just a moment ago?”
“…” Xu Zhimian gave him a punch. “Fu Shiyan, you’re an idiot!”
Such a perfect opportunity—if Fu Shiyan had just spoken up, he would have said yes! This generation of “Sugar Daddies” was truly hard to manage.
Fu Shiyan let out a “tsk,” his voice laced with amusement. “So fierce.”
Xu Zhimian shot him another glare.
He turned his phone back on, and a barrage of notifications immediately began popping up. There was a new red dot in his contacts—Lin Xi had added him. He accepted her request first and then moved on to reply to other messages.
Among them was an unlabeled contact who had sent him a photo.
[Wadasia]: Does this photo look familiar?
In the photo, a tall girl of thirteen or fourteen wearing traditional Miao clothing was hugging a dark-skinned boy who barely reached her waist. Both were smiling at the camera.
Xu Zhimian slowly typed a “?”
[Xu Zhimian]: Who are you? And who is this? [Wadasia]: I am Qian Luo. This is a photo of me and my sister. Do you have any memory of the girl in the picture?
Qian Luo?
Xu Zhimian realized after a second that it was the Miao Great Shaman. He had described Qian Luo to Xu Jianan just a few days ago, so the girl in the photo was likely his sister. However, Xu Zhimian had long since forgotten what his mother looked like.
[Xu Zhimian]: No memory of it.
He casually changed the contact name.
[Qian Luo]: Mmm, okay. Is your health better? [Xu Zhimian]: Thanks for asking. I’m much better. I’m having surgery in a few days. [Qian Luo]: Surgery? [Qian Luo]: What kind of surgery?
Only then did Xu Zhimian realize he had let it slip.
[Xu Zhimian retracted a message.]
As he was typing, Qian Luo quickly sent another message.
[Qian Luo]: Heart surgery, right? [Qian Luo]: Can I do a DNA kinship test with you?
“…” Since things had reached this point, he felt embarrassed to refuse.
[Xu Zhimian]: Okay.
The other side replied instantly.
[Qian Luo]: I’ll come find you tomorrow. [Xu Zhimian]: Sure. Message me when you get to City A.
This small episode was quickly pushed to the back of Xu Zhimian’s mind. In the afternoon, he went to shoot an advertisement for diamond rings. When he left the office, Fu Shiyan hadn’t said anything further. Is he really not going to say it?
It wasn’t until he finished work for the night that he checked his phone. His Weibo DMs were exploding. After refreshing, he found that Fu Shiyan had reposted the marketing account’s post and tagged him.
Fu Shiyan: Wifey, someone is spreading rumors [crying][crying][crying] @Xu Zhimian
Xu Zhimian froze in his tracks. His breath hitched, and he felt a sudden heat rush through his body.
Wifey! Fu Shiyan called him “wifey”! Fu Shiyan really knew how to play.
[Strawberry Bear Lover]: Just… AHHH! I didn’t want to fall for this, but President Fu looks so cold, yet the way he says “wifey” feels so soft!
[Your Dad is Still Your Dad]: Wuwu, Mianmian is MY wifey!! I believe adding one more person to the marriage isn’t a problem, right?
[Kao]: What?! You’re trying to steal my wife! Mianmian is clearly MY wifey!! This is an unpardonable grievance!
[I Believe So]: Who understands! I’m truly shipping them! Seeing President Fu acting all aggrieved is such a “gap-moe” contrast.
[Alt Account]: Look at how aggrieved he looks! Mianmian, hurry up and believe him, hurry!
[That Certain Vibe]: Looking at President Fu like this makes me believe in love again! There’s a vibe between them you can’t fake; I’m calling it “CP Chemistry.”
Xu Zhimian fought to suppress the corners of his mouth and followed up with a post:
@Xu Zhimian: I don’t believe him! I believe you. [Patting head.jpg]
When Kailin opened Weibo and saw these two posts showing off their affection, she let out a click of her tongue. “Being legal is just different, huh?”
Xu Zhimian made a face at her. “I’m looking forward to Sister Kailin leaving the ‘single’ club soon!”
“…” Kailin laughed and scolded him, “You little brat, that’s going too far.”
Outside the set, Xu Zhimian, who was still bickering with Kailin, suddenly stopped. Kailin followed his gaze and understood instantly.
A black Maybach was parked not far away. Fu Shiyan was leaning against the car door, his hair slightly messy over his forehead. He had changed out of yesterday’s wrinkled clothes; his smoke-grey silk shirt looked exceptionally “abstinent” on him. Smoke rings drifted around him, and the dim yellow streetlights cast a warm glow over his sharp silhouette.
In that moment, an indescribable sense of satisfaction filled Xu Zhimian’s heart. This man would be his.
Kailin crossed her arms and teased, “President Fu’s wifey, go on then. Don’t let your hubby wait too long.”
Being teased by Kailin in public made Xu Zhimian’s face flush red, but he truly couldn’t wait another second. He trotted over and threw himself into the man’s arms.
Caught in a full embrace, Fu Shiyan wrapped one arm around him while crushing his cigarette and tossing it into a nearby bin. He asked, puzzled, “Why are you running so fast?”
Xu Zhimian’s heart drummed against his ribs. He buried himself in Fu Shiyan’s chest, inhaling his scent, and huffed, “None of your business.”
“…” Fu Shiyan pinched the back of his neck. “So arrogant.”
“We aren’t ‘legitimate’ anyway,” Xu Zhimian said, looking up at him pointedly. He was nudging Fu Shiyan—he had such a good chance during the day but didn’t speak up. He was terrible at seizing the moment.
Fu Shiyan was amused to the point of laughter. He tapped Xu Zhimian’s smooth forehead with his finger. “Whose fault is that? Who was the one who rejected me? Hmm?”
It was true that he had rejected him, but he could have asked a second time! Xu Zhimian roared internally, pouting. Seeing his defeated and frustrated look, Fu Shiyan found him incredibly adorable.
He lightly kissed the corner of Xu Zhimian’s mouth and whispered, “…My fault.”
And then… there was no “and then.” After admitting his mistake, Fu Shiyan still didn’t take the initiative to ask. It was infuriating.
When they got back, Xu Zhimian immediately laid out two separate quilts. When Fu Shiyan came out of the shower, he saw Xu Zhimian buried under a quilt, with sofa cushions placed in a crooked “demarcation line” between the two sets of bedding. It was childish and lovely.
Under the covers, Xu Zhimian bombarded Xu Jianan with messages.
[Xu Zhimian]: Fu ‘Lacks Romance’ Shiyan. I’ve been so obvious, but he just won’t speak up. [Xu Jianan]: Who was the one who told me, “As long as the end result is him, the process might not be that important”? (He sent a screenshot of the previous chat). [Xu Zhimian]: Keyword: Perhaps. [Xu Jianan]: Honestly, you two don’t really need that one sentence anymore.
But having it stated clearly was different from just knowing it. A clear confession felt formal and serious, as if the relationship was being cherished.
The bed beside him dipped; Fu Shiyan had climbed in. I’ve made it so obvious I’m angry, surely he can see it, Xu Zhimian thought. He turned off his phone and waited, but there was no movement next to him.
It was getting a bit stuffy under the quilt. Xu Zhimian frowned. The wifey is angry, shouldn’t you coax him? Five minutes passed, and Fu Shiyan still hadn’t moved!
Was he asleep? He dared to go to sleep first?!
Xu Zhimian couldn’t help but peek his head out, comforting himself that it was just too hot and he needed some air. The bedroom lights were dim, but as he looked up, he slammed right into Fu Shiyan’s playful eyes.
“…”
Fu Shiyan had his hands propped on either side of Xu Zhimian’s quilt, his face full of mischief. “Finally couldn’t help coming out?” He curled his lips. “Isn’t it stuffy in there?”
“None of your business!” Shamed by being caught, Xu Zhimian turned his head, his earlobes turning a deep crimson. He wouldn’t back down verbally: “You crossed the line! You’re not allowed to cross the line! …Mmph!!”
Fu Shiyan suddenly blocked his lips. He let out a muffled sound and reached out to push against Fu Shiyan’s chest, but he didn’t use much force; it looked more like a “no-that-means-yes” resistance.
The size disparity between an Alpha and an Omega was fully revealed. Xu Zhimian was pinned down, unable to move, enveloped by the Alpha’s clean scent of body wash and the overflowing pheromones.
The Alpha scooped him up with one hand. The sudden weightlessness scared Omega into clinging tightly to his neck, his voice pitching higher: “Ah!”
Fu Shiyan gave his backside a reassuring pat. He sat on the edge of the bed with Xu Zhimian straddling him as they kissed face-to-face. It was the position that provided the most security, like being closely protected.
Being pressed against his own Alpha felt wonderful. Xu Zhimian felt every pore of his body open in pleasure. The hands around Fu Shiyan’s neck gradually slid down to his broad chest, turning into an ambiguous caress.
Fu Shiyan’s deep kiss turned into gentle pecks. Xu Zhimian’s body went soft, the tip of his nose turning pink as he panted with his mouth slightly open. He felt as if he were floating on a cloud, completely lost in the kiss.
Fu Shiyan’s hand slipped into his waistband. When he touched a certain spot, Xu Zhimian’s body arched instantly, his toes tensing as a groan escaped him: “Don’t touch…”
He looked incredibly easy to bully like this. Fu Shiyan kissed his way up, his tongue licking his earlobe while his canines gently nibbled. “I was wrong, wifey. Forgive me, okay?”
The calluses on the man’s hand felt incredibly good. Xu Zhimian’s mind was blank; his sensitive spots were being teased, and he couldn’t even hear what Fu Shiyan was saying.
Until Fu Shiyan kissed him again, their lips barely touching. Fu Shiyan’s voice was close and sticky: “Wifey, forgive me, okay?”
“…”
Xu Zhimian let out a heavy gasp, his whole body trembling, unable to tell North from South. Fu Shiyan chuckled softly and kissed the corner of his eye. “Wifey, goodnight.”
With that, he went to the bathroom, leaving Xu Zhimian too ashamed to move, hiding under the covers. He thought he wouldn’t be able to sleep, but listening to the pitter-patter of the shower, he soon fell into a deep slumber.
He slept exceptionally well that night. When he woke up the next day, he was alone in the room. The cushions between the quilts were gone. He wasn’t covered by his own quilt, but by Fu Shiyan’s; his own had somehow rolled under the bed.
Recalling the events of the previous night, Xu Zhimian covered his forehead. Ah, blinded by lust!
