- Chapter 4 - The Dilapidated Hotel
◎ Clues Delivered to the Doorstep ◎
Just as the little girl’s sharp fingernails were about to slash across his fragile neck, He Yuput dodged to the side. He accidentally bumped into the cabinet, and the pain from the wound on his arm made him gasp for air.
In a place he could not see, the livestream chat was flashing frantically.
[Fck! I remember this little ghost girl! A previous teammate of mine had his skin peeled and bones broken by her; he was tortured alive for three hours before he died!]*
[Little ghost girl, do not come any closer! I have never seen such a beautiful NPC before; I will not let you skin him!]
“I remember you. You are the landlady’s daughter.”
He Yuput, with a pale face, returned the notebook to its original place and took a key out of his pocket. “The key the hotel gave me is broken. I cannot enter my room, and I pressed the service bell several times, but no one responded.”
“That is why I had to come down here myself to find a spare key. This is, after all, the hotel’s fault.”
“Little one, you can condemn bad people.”
He Yuput curved his delicate, beautiful eyes and placed his fingertips against his lips, whispering, “But if you frame others as thieves, then you are a bad child!”

Upon hearing the words “bad child,” the little ghost girl’s eyes grew even more vicious. The smile vanished, and she bared her fangs, glaring at He Yuput with blood-red, long fingertips radiating murderous intent.
“How about this? Stand there facing the cabinet and endure a time-out for three hours.”
He Yuput knitted his brows, appearing troubled as if wondering whether this punishment was too lenient. “I am punishing you for your own good. Only by listening to me can you correct your ways and become a good child. Do you understand?”
Half of the little ghost girl’s face was ulcerated and rotting. Maggots squirmed within the bloody flesh, and her shattered head tilted at an eerie angle. The sound of cracking bones was exceptionally clear in the silent lobby.
She held her terrifying doll, her eyes dazed, as if she were contemplating his words.
He Yuput raised his gaze, his voice clear and ethereal, as seductive as a siren’s song. “Be good. Turn around and face the wall to reflect on your mistakes, and be a good child.”
The little ghost girl pursed her lips. Clear blood vessels were visible in her protruding eyeballs, and blood-tears flowed down her pale, cyan cheeks. Her long, slender fingernails dug into her own flesh, and a chilling, horrifying wail echoed throughout the entire hotel.
[Holy sht, the little ghost girl actually believed him! What kind of master manipulator is this?!]* (Tipped 10 points)
[Damn! Even though his words are ridiculous, when paired with his appearance, it is so convincing!] (Tipped 8 points)
[Incredible! This is the first time I have seen an NPC make a ghost girl cry!] (Tipped 15 points)
