- Chapter 28 - The Stupid but Truly Beautiful Flowerpot (Part 7)
“I deserve to be loved?” The beauty was clearly shocked by his words, standing dazed in place for a long while without speaking, simply watching the man draw closer.
They had clearly crossed the threshold of personal safety distance, yet for some reason, he didn’t pull away.
The desire in the man’s eyes was blatant, thick as a slow-simmering porridge. Their lightly touching thighs transmitted each other’s warmth.
Li Rangnian began to blush, his heart pounding rapidly. His eyes darted away, not daring to meet the man’s gaze.
Han Xiangbai’s heart softened at the sight. He tilted his head slightly and leaned in for a kiss. It began as a simple touch and a light nuzzle, then he captured the soft flesh of the lips, sucking gently, before transitioning into a “negative distance” contact.
The sticky, wet sounds of the kiss echoed in their ears. Li Rangnian was so nervous he couldn’t breathe; after kissing for a short while, he began to feel dizzy.
The man pulled back, calling out to him with a laugh: “Breathe~” He only continued kissing once the beauty had recovered, his movements gentle yet forceful and irresistible.
It was too, too thrilling kissing another man in his own home…
The beauty was kissed into a muddle by the man’s superior technique. It wasn’t until he was laid down on the sofa and pinned that he finally snapped back to reality. Immediately after, his hands were seized and pulled up over his head to receive an attack that could only be called ferocious.
“No, it won’t do… I’ll be found out…” Li Rangnian’s head was spinning. A whimper like a small animal’s came from deep in his throat, but he couldn’t manage to speak.
The man was immersed in the kiss, but his gaze remained tightly fixed on the beauty’s face, observing his every expression.
Beauties are difficult to serve. If he kissed too heavily, the other would furrow his brows and tears would well in his eyes; if he licked gently, the beauty would hum in comfort.
It wasn’t until he sensed the resistance against his chest that he suppressed the urge to devour the person whole and stopped. Pressing his forehead against the beauty’s, he said softly, “What is it?”
The atmosphere was too intimate; with their eyes locked, they were breathing in each other’s air. Li Rangnian remained silent for a moment before looking away first. His gaze landed nowhere in particular as he whispered, “This is wrong. Mr. Han, I think… we can’t continue. Please forget what just happened.”
The wind blew the curtains into a chaotic flutter, leaving only silence between them.
Han Xiangbai grabbed the hand still pressed against his chest and quickly pulled the person up into his embrace. Resting his chin on the top of the beauty’s head, he coaxed him with a cheerful smile, “Xiaonian, are you feeling guilty? You’ve done nothing wrong. You are merely pursuing legitimate happiness, and I just happen to be willing and able to give you what you want.”
“Xiaonian, look into my eyes and tell me, are you happy when you’re with me?”
Li Rangnian looked up, crashing into the man’s eyes which were brimming with deep affection. So much love was hidden within them, as deep and heavy as an ocean.
He was momentarily dazed, answering foolishly, “Yes, I am very happy.”
“That’s right. Xiaonian, I am not him. I will take a hundred steps toward you, carrying the happiness you desire. You only need to stand where you are and open your arms to accept it.”
The corners of Han Xiangbai’s mouth turned up in a smile. He leaned in and left a “dragonfly-touch” kiss on the beauty’s lips. “So now, are you willing to accept?”
Even though they had just been passionately intertwined, Li Rangnian still turned beet-red over such a pure kiss. He stammered, refusing to give a clear answer: “Mmm, we’ll talk about it later… I don’t know right now…”
“Ah!” Before he could finish his sentence, he was scooped up in a bridal carry. The man spun him around a few times in excitement, accompanied by a cheer: “Fantastic! Xiaonian, I’m so happy you can accept me!”
Li Rangnian kept screaming in fright, clutching the man’s neck and not daring to let go, but the smile in his eyes couldn’t be hidden.
I thought I’d have to put in more effort; I didn’t expect the man to fall into the trap so quickly. He’s really easy to flirt with.
Yu An returned home. The moment he opened the door, he realized something was wrong: there was an extra pair of men’s leather shoes at the entrance.
There was no beauty rushing into his arms as usual, nor did he hear that sweet “Hubby.”
He looked up. In the living room, a handsome man was sitting on the sofa. And his wife was currently skewering pieces of cut fruit with small forks, handing the fruit platter to the other with a beaming smile.
Everything was so warm and harmonious it even gave Yu An the illusion that his wife and the man were the actual partners, and he was merely an outsider.
The rustling sound caught their attention. Li Rangnian looked over, his eyes lighting up the moment he saw Yu An, but they dimmed immediately after. He stood there awkwardly, calling out in a small voice: “Hubby, you’re back?”
Could I not come back? If I didn’t, my wife would probably be lured away by another man.
Yu An thought expressionlessly. He strode forward, pulled the other into a waist-embrace, and buried his head in the neck for a deep breath. “Wifey, are you hungry? I’ll make dinner right away.”
After pressing a kiss onto the snowy-white neck, he looked up, his gaze fixing straight on the man before him. His voice turned cold. “And this is?”
Li Rangnian’s face was buried in the man’s full pectoral muscles; he couldn’t see the cold expression, but he pushed at him, trying to wiggle out.
“Hello, I am your neighbor. My name is Han Xiangbai.” The man seemed indifferent to Yu An’s hostility, answering with a smile.
On the surface, he was very polite, but in reality, he didn’t even bother to stand up for a handshake, only offering a verbal greeting.
Yu An also had no desire for close contact. He released the beauty from his arms, changing to a shoulder-embrace in a possessive posture:
“Hello. I am Yu An, and this is my wife, Li Rangnian.”
“A pleasure to meet you. Forgive my sudden visit today,” Han Xiangbai said. His gaze fell seemingly by accident on the beauty. Under the beauty’s slightly nervous watch, he said slowly, “Mr. Yu appears to be a man of great talent, and your wife is quite beautiful and generous a perfect match. While you were away, he took ex-tra-ordin-ary care of me.”
The end of the sentence was slightly upturned, carrying a trace of an inexplicable, flirtatious meaning.
In a perspective where Yu An couldn’t see, Li Rangnian gave the man a fierce glare. He thought it was authoritative, but in reality, it was so full of hidden pining that it looked exceptionally “kissable.”
“Thank you. My wife is indeed such a wonderful person.” Hearing the man’s praise, a trace of pride appeared in Yu An’s eyes, and even the subtle feeling of wrongness in his heart was suppressed. He even took the initiative to extend an invitation: “Would Mr. Han like to stay for dinner?”
Leave, leave quickly! Don’t stay!
Li Rangnian was on pins and needles, terrified the two might expose something. He kept signaling the man with his eyes not to accept.
“Mr. Yu’s cooking must be excellent.” Han Xiangbai clearly saw the look, yet he insisted on wickedly teasing the beauty. He started the sentence, then slowly veered off: “…However, I have things to attend to at home, so I won’t stay and disturb you.”
The moment the words fell, he clearly saw both people opposite him let out a sigh of relief.
Li Rangnian felt like he had survived a disaster, while Yu An was glad he didn’t have to cook for a stranger.
His culinary skills were for making dishes for his wife; what would it be for another man to eat them?
Yu An escorted the man to the door, watching with his own eyes as the other walked away. Only then did he drop his hypocritical mask and reveal his true expression.
“Neighbor? Heh…”
He gave a low, cold scoff. Only a fool couldn’t see the interest in the man’s eyes for the beauty.
Another bad person coveting my wife.
Li Rangnian had only eaten half a bowl of porridge in the morning. After what just happened, he had mostly digested it and was now a bit hungry.
He leaned against the doorframe, watching Yu An put on the small apron. With skilled movements, the man added seasoning with one hand while tossing the wok with the other. The flames flickered under the pot, and the ingredients were stir-fried back and forth, releasing a delicious aroma.
Pork belly sizzled in the hot oil, its color enticing; large shrimp released a fresh, sweet scent through stir-frying, combined with the spiciness of green and red peppers and the fragrance of onion, ginger, and garlic.
The aroma of pork rib soup drifted through the kitchen, mixed with the scents of corn and potatoes.
His stomach gave a loud rumble. Li Rangnian approached curiously to ask, “Hubby, is the food ready yet?”
“Almost. Stay back a bit; be careful not to get splashed.” Sweat dripped from Yu An’s forehead, and a glistening “lake” of moisture gathered at his collarbone. His capillaries were surging; his originally cold-white skin showed a flush, making him look much gentler.
He took a moment during his busy work to spear a small piece of meat, blowing on it before feeding it to Li Rangnian. “Wifey, take a taste. It’ll be ready soon, okay?”
It was spicy and fragrant in his mouth, the meat tender and refreshing, with a hint of charred aroma in the overflowing fats.
Li Rangnian widened his eyes, praising him muddledly while chewing: “Wow, it’s so delicious! Hubby, you’re amazing!”
[I want to eat too, sob sob sob…] The hungry 051 also ran out, circling around him. In its haste, it flew directly into the scalding pot. [Aahhh, why can’t I eat it!]
In the next second, Yu An continued stir-frying. The small light ball was tossed around in the pot until a ring of “mosquito incense” spirals appeared over its head, and it flew out dizzily.
Li Rangnian covered his mouth and laughed at it secretly. He turned back and gave the man a “paji” kiss on the cheek, leaving a “Hubby, thank you for your hard work” before grabbing the bowls and chopsticks and running out happily to wait.
“……” Yu An’s stir-frying movements couldn’t help but pause. The warm touch on his cheek was fleeting, yet his heart was still pounding wildly.
He was in the kitchen making food for the person he loved. With a turn of his head, he could see his lover sitting cross-legged on the sofa, eating fruit and watching TV.
It was too happy—so warm that he thought it was all a dream. Even if it were fragile and fake, so what? As long as it wasn’t broken, everything would continue according to the established rules.
It definitely would.
As the old saying goes, “Food and warmth lead to desire.” Just after cleaning the dining table, Yu An couldn’t help but pull Li Rangnian close, calling out softly, “Wifey…” The meaning behind it was self-evident.
He nuzzled the lips against the neck a few times, then opened his mouth to catch the collar with his teeth, pulling it down to reveal the beauty’s rounded, snowy-white shoulder.
Dense pecking kisses fell on the skin; it was very itchy. Li Rangnian laughed while pushing at him. “It’s too itchy, hubby. Bite more gently.”
Yu An’s gaze was obscure. One hand slipped inside, stroking upward along the spine, while the other lifted the hem of the shirt.
The “small cake” was sweet and delicious, and the strawberry tips were eaten over and over. The beauty trembled and wept, falling into wave after wave of the “tide.”
His body was like a pure, flawless scroll, being wantonly smeared with color by the painter.
…The room was filled with the scents of spring and the faint, sticky sounds of passion, which continued for an entire afternoon.
The anxious man stayed home for several days. Whenever he was free, he would catch the beauty for “harmonious exercise,” causing the marks on Li Rangnian’s body to layer upon each other, making them impossible to fade for a long time.
Fortunately, the protagonist Omega still had to work. When not exercising, he would sit at the desk looking at his computer. Putting on gold-rimmed glasses, his cold face took on a touch of refined “gentlemanliness.”
Li Rangnian was curious. He quietly slipped into the study to hide behind him and peek. He only saw various people with different faces on the computer screen. Yu An communicated with them at high speed; it took a long while to realize the other wasn’t even using English.
“Reposez pour un instant, s’il vous plaît.” (Rest for a moment, please.)
Without even looking behind him, Yu An turned off the camera and microphone. His large hand reached back, catching the person who realized something was wrong and tried to flee.
“……” Li Rangnian, who was pulled onto the man’s lap, didn’t understand. He looped his arms around the man’s neck and asked in confusion, “Hubby, how did you see me?”
The man smiled without answering, pinching his waist and satisfyingly watching the other go soft instantly.
“Wifey is so silly.” Yu An picked up a lock of long hair and leaned in; that delicate fragrance drifted into his nose.
Li Rangnian was fragrant all over. Usually, even before he approached, the scent could be smelled, yet he still thought he was hiding well.
When the meeting resumed, the partners on the other side of the computer were shocked to find that the man, who was usually solemn and strictly dressed, had actually unfastened the buttons leading to his throat. His collar was slightly open, revealing his collarbones, which were printed with faint red marks.
“Qu’est-ce qui s’est passé?” (What happened?)
After a moment of silence, one of them spoke up to ask.
Yu An clearly wasn’t smiling, yet everyone could sense his pleasant mood from the upturn in his voice and the slight warmth in his eyes. “Pas de quoi… Mon amour.” (It’s nothing… My love.)
The group instantly wore expressions that could be described as shocked. A foreign woman asked in stumbling, broken Chinese, “Oh, An, when did you possess a lover?”
They clearly remembered Yu An being single while abroad, having rejected all sorts of exotic beauties. He had only been back for a few months did he already have a lover?
“Not long ago,” he nodded, answering flatly.
“She must be pretty beautiful, otherwise she wouldn’t have caught your heart!”
“No, it is a ‘he,’ He.” Yu An dropped another heavy bombshell, leaving them dazed for a moment before they let out ear-piercing screams.
But before they could express anything else, the meeting was cut off. The group was left staring at the black screens, looking at each other.
Yu An had no heart to think about their reactions. He simply couldn’t wait to lift his lover in a bridal carry and place him on the desk, slowly opening the “small cake” he had long anticipated just like unwrapping a gift.
“Yu An, you’re crazy!” Li Rangnian was terrified. He hadn’t seen the man turn off the screen and thought the meeting was still ongoing. His small face was flushed with shame, and his eyes glared at him.
“Why aren’t you calling me ‘Hubby’ at a time like this? Hmm?” The man loved teasing him. While moving, he intentionally forced the beauty to make a sound. “Be a bit louder; let them hear it too.”
“Sob sob sob… You bastard!”
