- Chapter 21 - The Sickly Alpha Who Sows Discord (FINALE)
In just a few short days, the sixth Great Tide arrived. Qin Yuan piloted Tianjiao, rushing to the front lines with his newly formed team.
On the final night before his departure, Li Rangnian was pinned down and claimed countless times. It wasn’t until the very last moment that a kiss so light it was almost imperceptible fell upon the soft top of his head:
“Little Li, wait for me to come back.”
The moment Qin Yuan left the room, Li Rangnian, who had been desperately suppressing his discomfort, rolled over to the edge of the bed and began to vomit uncontrollably.
Aside from that sticky, disgusting mucus, he coughed up blood this time; his internal organs had likely suffered significant damage.
[Host-dada! Are you okay?] 051 shrieked while pulling out an energy agent to feed him.
“Don’t worry, we’ll be able to leave this world soon.” Li Rangnian spoke dismissively, wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth with his thumb. He lay back down, his body limp, staring blankly at the ceiling.
Finally, the end was approaching. In the original plot, the protagonist Alpha and Omega join forces in this very war to defeat the Queen Worm, causing the Xenomorphs to scatter in defeat and securing victory for the Federation.
However, Li Rangnian knew full well that the victory the plot skimmed over was built upon the sacrifices of countless people.
Throughout three days of bloody battle, a steady stream of troops headed to the front. Strategic materials were funneled through Planet B-1233, sent to the front lines via the jump point.
The projectors sent along provided real-time aerial footage of the battlefield. It could only be described as tragic a living hell on earth as if the apocalypse had arrived.
The most striking sight was likely the silver mecha, bathed in mucus amidst a sea of Xenomorphs, which refused to fall. It held the front line steadfastly, providing precious windows of opportunity for its teammates in the rear. Above in the sky, a combat ship circled, flexibly dodging Xenomorph attacks while its dense cannon fire cleared obstacles for the mecha’s movements.
It escorted the mecha through every hurdle, pinpointing the small Xenomorph that had been emitting sonic waves to direct the army’s assault.
“Sizzle…” Sensing danger, the Xenomorphs writhed their bloated bodies, shielding the Queen Worm with their lives.
Qin Yuan swallowed the metallic taste of blood rising in his throat. His eyes were bloodshot from overdrawing his mental energy, yet he let out a manic laugh as if nothing were wrong: “Come on, let’s see whose life is tougher.”
[Target locked. Initiating Termination Mode.] The engine stalled automatically as the mecha dove downward, carrying a force capable of destroying heaven and earth.
…Later, the Federation turned the footage of this war into a documentary. Major television stations raced to report on it, dissecting every combat detail for military students to study.
After that all-out killing blow, Tianjiao lost all power and plummeted toward the planet, looking from afar like a meteor streaking across the sky.
The Queen Worm and the Xenomorphs covering her were blasted into nonexistence. Without her summons, the Xenomorphs instantly panicked, scurrying around like headless flies. Losing their cohesion, they were soon wiped out by the new wave of troops sent to the front.
The directionless Xenomorphs, struck with terror, turned and fled back toward the wormholes. The army pursued them relentlessly; victory or defeat had been decided in a single thought.
Half an hour later, medical personnel found the fallen mecha. Lacking authorization, the search and rescue team couldn’t enter; they had to blast open the hatch to carry away the unconscious Alpha, whose nose and mouth were bleeding, to a rear hospital.
The combat ship circled the sky for a long time. Seeing the mecha fall, it hesitated for a moment before turning to leave.
“We won! We won!”
“God dammit, we finally repelled the Xenomorphs! Hahahaha, aahhh!”
“…Long live the Federation!”
Everyone broke into cheers, waving their arms toward the sky. Thousands of words converged into a single, rhythmic shout: “Long live the Federation! Long live the Federation!”
People spontaneously walked out of their homes into the streets and alleys, parading and sharing the joy of victory.
The staff of the Logistics Department received unprecedented hospitality. One by one, they were caught off guard as the crowds lifted them over their heads, tossing them into the air in celebration.
In his room, Li Rangnian was vomiting until he lost track of time. The housekeeping robot worked for a long while to clean up the mess.
His optical computer vibrated. The person currently washing up glanced at it, spat out the clear water in his mouth, and opened the message once he felt a bit better:
I want to see you.
[It’s the protagonist Omega coming to find you,] 051 said.
Li Rangnian typed out word by word: Okay. I missed you too, boyfriend.
Shen Yiqing, having cooperated with Qin Yuan to kill the Queen Worm, had contacted Li Rangnian the moment he stepped off the combat ship, wanting to share the news immediately.
Upon seeing the replied message, Shen Yiqing’s pupils constricted, and he crushed the optical computer in his hand! The swarm of war correspondents didn’t even catch a glimpse of his face before he had already left in an aircraft, leaving them with a mouthful of exhaust.
Almost no time passed before Li Rangnian opened his door, only to be caught in a fierce hug by Shen Yiqing. The man immediately sought out his lips, kissing him without a second’s pause.
Li Rangnian was forced back step by step. He raised his hands to push, but the other didn’t budge an inch; instead, he was entangled until he couldn’t breathe.
An Alpha and Omega in one room it was like dry wood and a raging fire. A single spark set off a crackling blaze, and the temperature continued to rise.
“Shen…” The moment he opened his mouth, the other’s tongue slipped inside, nearly reaching his throat. Li Rangnian had to brace his hands against the man’s chest and pinch his arm hard, trying to bring him to his senses.
Shen Yiqing’s eyes were red. He glanced down at the hand braced between them, then immediately gripped Li Rangnian’s waist and pinned him to the bed.
Before Li Rangnian could speak, his hands were seized, pulled over his head, and tied with something. A black silk ribbon was then covered over his eyes.
The room was already dim; now he truly couldn’t see anything. He could only hear the other’s heavy gasps and the rustling sound of clothes being stripped away.
The person beneath him panicked, writhing to break free from the restraints. Shen Yiqing pinned down all his struggles, leaning down to whisper in his ear: “Don’t be afraid, Little Li. I’ll make you feel good.”
The protagonist Omega was a man of his word. Occasionally, in his midnight dreams, Li Rangnian would dream of being like prey caught by an octopus the dense suction cups were terrifying to look at, yet every inch of his skin was attended to, becoming unbearably itchy.
And now, the nightmare had become reality. When he felt the tentacles slithering across his body, he nearly screamed. But soon, he began to tremble violently, his limbs entwined like a sacrificial lamb being dragged into the abyss of desire.
Hedged in from all sides, he couldn’t make a sound. Even the tears falling from the corners of his eyes were licked away one by one until he was fully taken into that square inch of space. Only then did he snap awake, wanting to flee.
“Don’t be afraid… Little Li, I’m not a monster. These are things that can make you happy. Don’t resist; try to enjoy it.”
Shen Yiqing’s words felt as distant as the edge of the world, yet the pleasure brought by his actions was very real. Li Rangnian was almost entirely submerged within the writhing tentacles, being dragged along and instinctively catering to him.
In the dim room, the air seemed to have evaporated. Every breath felt dry and parched stronger than any drug. Crying and pleading were movements in a symphony played out every day.
Shen Yiqing was determined to have a deep bond. This kind of deep marking is difficult to achieve in one go, and he used every means possible to force the beauty to form a knot.
“Little Li, Little Li…” The Omega pressed his own slightly protruding abdomen. Feeling nothing, his expression turned cold for an instant before returning to its gentle guise. “You can do it, right? You want a baby, too, right?”
A tentacle slid to the table to coil around a glass of water. Shen Yiqing tilted the beauty’s small chin and slowly fed him. The dazed beauty instantly came to life, swallowing greedily. Before he could finish one gulp, he opened his mouth for the next. Water dripped down his chin, soaking the bedsheets.
The Omega gave a soft laugh. “Drink slowly, drink slowly. No one is taking it from you.”
“You bastard… what exactly do you want…” Li Rangnian once again regretted flirting too much. His eyes were red from crying; for the first time in his life, he hoped the protagonist Alpha would show up soon.
“Little Li, don’t be angry, be good.” Shen Yiqing pressed the back of the beauty’s head against his own gland while coaxing him, “Mark me, Little Li. Doing both things at once might increase the success rate?”
Li Rangnian couldn’t see the person before him; his tears had soaked the ribbon, leaving a wet patch.
His wrists had been rubbed red from struggling. Shen Yiqing, feeling pained, untied them only to be slapped across the face in the next second.
“Slap!” The crisp sound startled the man caught in the heat of passion. He suddenly went silent. Unable to see his expression, Li Rangnian shrunk back in fear, trying his best to retreat.
Shen Yiqing was stung by this scene. His hands trembled as he cupped the beauty’s face, pecking him with kisses while apologizing desperately: “I’m sorry… Little Li, I was wrong, I was wrong…”
He just wanted a living piece of evidence to prove the relationship that had existed between them to cover up that inexplicable sense of panic in his heart. He hadn’t considered whether Li Rangnian was willing.
Shen Yiqing’s eyes were red as he tremblingly untied the ribbon, not daring to meet those misty eyes.
“…” Li Rangnian’s mood was complicated. He crawled up with weak limbs, looking at the joyfully waving tentacles that clutched his waist, refusing to retreat.
The two faced each other, their dishevelment plain to see. Shen Yiqing retracted the tentacles and lowered his eyes as if reflecting, yet his gaze lingered on the parts of the body that revealed too much of “springtime.” He couldn’t help but swallow.
051’s vision was entirely covered in “mosaic” blurring. Having been released by the host, it didn’t know where to land; everything was wet. [Host, I’ve sent the message to your colleagues as you instructed. They’ll be here soon.]
“Good work. Prepare to exit.”
Li Rangnian’s vision blurred. A surge of heat welled up in his abdomen; he tilted his head and vomited instantly.
Fresh blood covered the floor, mixed with unidentifiable lumps and fragments. It looked exceptionally gruesome.
“LITTLE LI!!!” Shen Yiqing’s eyes nearly split as he reached out to catch the body that was suddenly falling backward.
Li Rangnian gave a weak smile, biting down on the man’s shoulder. His fading gaze met the eyes of the several people who had just rushed to the door.
“It’s a Xenomorph!”
“Watch out! Don’t miss!”
The carnage on the floor made them instinctively believe their colleague had been infected. They raised their guns and aimed at Li Rangnian’s forehead
“BANG!”
The wound on his shoulder brought no pain. Shen Yiqing only held the limp corpse tightly in his arms, murmuring: “Little Li… Little Li, don’t be afraid. I’m taking you away.”
[Exit Successful!]
The moment Li Rangnian opened his eyes, he was back in the familiar white space. Virtual screens appeared in mid-air, playing the plot that followed his death.
He gave them a cursory glance. The protagonist Alpha and Omega were like madmen, researching his body and trying to implant the Xenomorph’s regenerative cells into a human.
These two, one was frantically hunting Xenomorphs, while the other was mad enough to perform surgery on himself. They used to loathe the sight of each other, but now they were cooperating for a dead person.
Li Rangnian couldn’t quite describe his feelings, but he never concerned himself with what happened after he left. He waved his hand, and the images vanished.
051 landed in his palm, rubbing against him obediently. It said in a happy voice: [Host-dada is so amazing! The first world has concluded perfectly!]
“It was all thanks to 051.” Li Rangnian kissed the small light ball, looking with satisfaction at the golden “S” slowly appearing on the screen. His fighting spirit was high. “Alright. Let’s start the next world.”
