A Delicate Beauty Holding a Villain’s Script - Chapter 2
Li Rangnian snapped back to reality from his thoughts. The aircraft that had come to pick up Bai Yan had already departed, and the previously deserted road was gradually becoming crowded.
Surrounding him were new students, chattering and bustling about, with various scents mingling in the air. Strawberry, cream, durian, and even the smell of gasoline, it was a chaotic mix.
“…”
He had a physical reaction to the scents of strangers; his breathing became slightly labored, his small face paled a shade, and his chest felt tight.
Qin Yuan immediately noticed his discomfort. His expression darkened, and he released a powerful surge of S-rank pheromones. Like a fierce, prehistoric beast, his presence loomed over the entire area.
Almost simultaneously, everyone present felt a violent “buzz” in their heads, as if they had been struck by a blunt club. The pain was excruciating. Their mental strength shriveled within their consciousness, trembling in fear, and their pheromones were sucked back instantly like a receding tide. That powerful aura was a warning to them all: Shrink back. Do not come out.
Yet, Li Rangnian remained completely unharmed. Invisible mental energy shielded the delicate Alpha, isolating him from the outside world as if he were a rose kept under a glass dome.
With those messy smells gone, Li Rangnian felt much more relaxed. He looked around and saw that everyone else had, without exception, developed expressions of pain and terror.
How strange. He didn’t dwell on it and instead tugged at Qin Yuan’s sleeve. “Hurry, hurry! Don’t waste time, we should head inside.”
The Federation’s First Military Academy occupied a vast area with beautiful scenery. The virtual sky was a brilliant azure, and lush green belts surrounded crystal-clear lakes. The towering skyscrapers were full of technological flair, and aircraft could be seen everywhere in the mid-air lanes.
The academy was divided into three campuses. The main one was the Binhai Campus located on the Federation’s capital planet, while the other two were distributed on different planets. The Binhai Campus offered many majors, with military and scientific research being the most famous; it also hosted niche majors, such as the Pharmacology major Li Rangnian had chosen.
Qin Yuan’s major was different from his. He studied the “hot” subjects: Mech Design and Repair, Mech Piloting, Mental Strength Control and Enhancement… things Alphas were naturally more interested in.
Looking at the crisscrossing shaded paths before him, Li Rangnian felt troubled. His delicate brows knit together slightly.
Darn it. He was a “road-blind” person with absolutely no sense of direction.
Standing a step behind him, the man’s gaze shifted downward, allowing him to clearly see the beauty’s soft hair, which was slightly messy and swirled into a small cowlick at the back of his head. The Alpha’s build was exceptionally tall and lean; with one reach, he could easily pull the beauty into his embrace.
The person in front of him was still agonizing over which path to take. Qin Yuan’s gaze had become purposeful, falling onto the exposed back of the youth’s neck as he lowered his head, specifically, the slight protrusion that was the Alpha’s gland.
Li Rangnian’s constitution was very special. Despite being an A-rank Alpha, his body was unusually fragile, and even his pheromones were a seductive strawberry scent. Even stranger was that his pheromones actually attracted Alphas; according to the logic of the ABO world, Alphas were supposed to repel one another.
Aside from being unable to get pregnant, Li Rangnian could essentially be mistaken for an Omega.
Fortunately, the number of Alphas and Omegas had been increasing over the years, and social trends were becoming more open. Traditional mainstream AO relationships were being challenged as AA, BO, and even OO relationships emerged. A delicate Alpha like Li Rangnian could certainly find a partner.
The beauty’s nape was fair and tender, and a sweet scent of strawberry faintly leaked from his gland.
So sweet. I really want to bite it…
Li Rangnian didn’t notice the person behind him gradually lowering his head, leaning closer. The closer he got, the more prominent the pheromone scent became.
Qin Yuan’s pupils were constricting into needle-like slits, resembling a snake fixing its eyes on its prey, ready to strike a lethal blow at any moment. The man licked his lips, leaving a trace of moisture that looked inexplicably erotic, his dark eyes soul-stirring.
Forcing himself to stop his movements, Qin Yuan’s voice sounded a bit dry: “Li-mei, I’ll take you to the dorm.”
After speaking, his throat bobbed. He looked down at the optical computer on his wrist. His hands were equally attractive, proportional, slender, and well-defined; when he flexed them, the veins bulged slightly, possessing a distinct aesthetic appeal.
Scanning the information at ten lines a glance, Qin Yuan already had a general map of the Binhai Campus in his mind.
“Follow me.”
He dropped those words and headed down a path. His strides were large, but his pace was not fast, just enough for Li Rangnian to keep up.
Li Rangnian considered himself quite tall at 182 cm, but Qin Yuan was even taller a 190 cm giant in a black trench coat. With broad shoulders, a narrow waist, and long legs, he was the picture of elegance and power, his aura fully unleashed as he walked.
In contrast, Li Rangnian, following closely behind with small steps, appeared exceptionally petite and cute. Along the way, they received many stares; there was a strange sense of harmony between the two.
“Whew… whew… I—I can’t do it. So tired…” Before long, Li Rangnian was so exhausted his cheeks were flushed red, his eyes were teary, and even the tip of his nose was slightly pink.
He panted continuously, his tongue sticking out like a kitten’s before quickly pulling it back, an unconscious temptation. Li Rangnian bent over, hands on his knees, his heart pounding violently while his legs felt weak in protest.
Great. He panted after just a few steps; he was practically Lin Daiyu reincarnated.
Without a moment’s hesitation, Qin Yuan turned back and swept the beauty up into a princess carry, eliciting a startled cry: “Ah! What are you doing?!”
“You walk too slowly. We’ll get there faster this way.”
With a “warm fragrance and soft jade” in his arms, not even a saint could remain entirely indifferent. Qin Yuan felt that the person in his arms was soft and fragrant, his “willow waist” barely a handful, and even the small head resting against his chest was adorable.
Li Rangnian was thin-skinned; a blush quickly spread across his face. Unable to face the gazes of passersby, he buried his head in Qin Yuan’s chest like an ostrich.
Hiss… It was firm, hard, and had a slight protrusion, it was actually quite comfortable to lean against. He subconsciously nuzzled it like a kitten, feeling the man’s body stiffen for a moment.
A moment later, it clicked, he had just nuzzled the Protagonist Gong’s chest muscles!
“…” Mortified, Li Rangnian buried himself deeper and refused to move.
Qin Yuan’s breathing turned ragged. His fingers tightened slightly around the beauty’s slim waist as he quickened his pace.
Fortunately, Qin Yuan walked fast and soon reached the dormitory building. He carried the youth up to the seventh floor before finally setting him down.
Room 7704.
The Binhai Campus provided ready-made bedding, so a “delicate beauty” like Li Rangnian didn’t need to make the bed himself.
(5-star review!) 051 cheered.
Qin Yuan followed him inside, did a quick lap of the room to make sure everything was in order, then ruffled Li Rangnian’s hair before leaving with a look of satisfaction.
The four-person dorm was empty; Li Rangnian was currently the only one there.
Filled with anticipation for the new school, Li Rangnian opened his optical computer and happily began scrolling through the Binhai Campus “Confession Wall”, a school forum where students gossiped about everything.
As he scrolled, his finger suddenly stopped on a particular post.
#Top 10 Visual Rankings of Binhai Campus# Come see if your favorite god/goddess made the list!
This ranking seemed to have been voted on by bored alumni. It was divided into Alpha and Omega categories, with the secondary gender clearly marked. As for why there were no Betas, Li Rangnian didn’t know, perhaps AOs were just more attractive to the general public?
Alpha Ranking:
- Song Yue, First Gender: Male.
- Ye Ziyan, First Gender: Male.
- …
High-definition color photos were attached. Li Rangnian scanned through them; they were indeed handsome, but none gave him a feeling as strong as Qin Yuan did. Perhaps the real person looked better.
Qin Yuan’s looks were definitely top-tier among Alphas, the kind of “top-grade” man who would make an Omega’s legs go weak. There was no doubt he should have been first.
The Omega Ranking’s first place was, without question, Shen Yiqing. His features were like a painting, his temperament cold and aloof. He wore gold-rimmed glasses, which added a touch of refined elegance.
Someone commented below: “OP, was this chosen last year? There are several freshmen this year who are handsomer than those on the list.”
“Exactly! I just saw an Omega today who looks so soft and delicate, he’s so beautiful, you don’t even know!!! My dream wife!”
“Are you talking about the freshman? Damn! I saw him too. The Omega is beautiful and sweet, and the Alpha next to him really has that ‘loyal wolf-dog’ vibe! They match so well!”
“Ahhh, my wife is seeing my husband behind my back…”
Li Rangnian didn’t pay much attention to that and quickly moved to the next post. He was laughing so hard at some students’ humorous complaints that tears unintentionally began to flow.
Just as he raised his hand to wipe away a tear, the dormitory door was suddenly pushed open.
“…Hm?”
After waiting a moment and seeing no one enter, Li Rangnian felt confused. He turned his head and met the shocked eyes of an Alpha:
“Holy crap?! Who let an Omega in here!”
