You Are the Star I Cannot Touch - Chapter 42
Chapter 42: Going Out to Play
Mu Yan opened the door and, seeing it was Gong Yutong, excitedly hugged her, “I thought you weren’t coming!”
“My little brother kept bothering me. It took a while to finally get away from him. Sorry, I’m late.”
“It’s okay. Do you think what I’m wearing today looks good?” Mu Yan did not forget to spin around once.
“It looks good,” despite her usual cold gaze, there was a hint of admiration in Gong Yutong’s eyes.
Praised by Mu Yan, she lowered her eyebrows and eyes, looking even cuter.
“So… did you bring anyone with you?”
“No.”
“You definitely haven’t taken a bus or the subway, have you? Would you like to try it with me?”
“That sounds quite novel, we can try it.”
“Okay, wait for me a moment.” She found a hat and a mask and put them on Gong Yutong. “You’re too pretty, so this is safer. Plus, you’re the Gong family’s eldest daughter.”
“Thank you.”
“Let’s go,” Mu Yan took Gong Yutong’s hand and, not forgetting Chi Yue, led them out of the residential gate.
“The… bus stop is a bit far. Should we walk or ride a bike?” Mu Yan asked, looking up at Gong Yutong, who was quite tall for her age.
“Either is fine,” Gong Yutong had no demands.
“Then let’s ride bikes. We only have two, so should I carry you?”
“I’m heavy.”
“You’re not heavy. Okay, wait a moment.” Mu Yan pulled Chi Yue inside and pushed out the two bicycles they had bought.
“Get on,” Gong Yutong said.
“Mhm,” Mu Yan wrapped her arms around her waist. Waist? It was so thin! How could it be this thin? Her hands could completely wrap around it… but it felt great, and since she was wearing a short-sleeved shirt, her hand directly touched her skin. It was smooth and delicate, her skin was so good. She really wanted to kiss it. She quickly shook her head. Why was she having such thoughts?
Chi Yue looked at Mu Yan’s flirtatious expression and shook her head. Gong Yutong was beautiful, but Mu Yan was being too obvious. Fortunately, Gong Yutong couldn’t see it.
Gong Yutong stopped the bike and put it away. She secretly pinched her waist along the way. Was it really that good?
“We’re here!” Mu Yan excitedly pulled Gong Yutong onto the bus. Because it was crowded, they had to stand. Gong Yutong was tall, so it was easy for her to hold the handrail, but Mu Yan was short. So, she simply hugged Gong Yutong’s waist, clinging tightly to her. Her small hands were quite restless, pinching and kneading. She had great fun playing with the flesh around Gong Yutong’s waist.
Chi Yue tugged on Mu Yan’s sleeve, signaling her to be more discreet.
Mu Yan stuck out her tongue and mouthed: I won’t.
Chi Yue: “…” This Gong family eldest daughter has a really good temper.
They got off the bus. Mu Yan was very clingy, holding Gong Yutong’s hand. Chi Yue navigated and led the way to the amusement park.
“I figured you were brave, so you could take me to play,” Mu Yan looked inside.
“Mhm,” Gong Yutong took out her phone and looked at the text on it. Five hundred per person for unlimited rides, or they could pay separately. She paid for all three people immediately, saving them the trouble of queuing inside later.
“You… how did you pay for everything? We asked you out to play, not to pay for us.” She just wanted her to accompany her.
“Do you have money? Where would you, a student, get money? Keep it for yourself.”
“You’re also a stu—” Her family had money. “But isn’t this bad?”
“Then you can treat me to a movie.”
“Mhm, mhm,” Mu Yan nodded quickly. After nodding, she realized she had been tricked. A movie only costs a few dozen yuan, but this… She was so easy to appease.
Chi Yue shook her head. Mu Yan used to be so smart, but she was incredibly foolish around Gong Yutong.
Mu Yan pulled Chi Yue and Gong Yutong, extremely excited. She wanted to play this and that. Since she had spent the money, she wanted to try everything. At first, Chi Yue could keep up, but later, she couldn’t. She just watched; she didn’t want to play anymore. Where did Mu Yan get so much energy? This was more exhausting than fighting.
In contrast, Gong Yutong was quite calm, allowing Mu Yan to drag her along to play. She wasn’t tired. Chi Yue suddenly felt that in the future, she should let the eldest Miss Gong accompany Mu Yan out. She couldn’t handle it.
Finally, Mu Yan pestered Chi Yue into taking a turn through the haunted house. Mu Yan, whether scared or not, burrowed into Gong Yutong’s arms whenever she saw a ‘ghost.’ But Gong Yutong was incredibly composed, afraid of nothing. Coming out, Mu Yan looked at Gong Yutong.
“Why aren’t you scared? You’re so calm!”
“I’m afraid you won’t protect me.”
“This… no,” she couldn’t protect her. She was scared.
The three left the amusement park. Chi Yue was already desperate to go home; she couldn’t take it anymore. But seeing Mu Yan so happy for once, she could only stay with her.
Gong Yutong hailed a taxi and gave an address. As they got into the car, Mu Yan asked curiously.
“Where are we going?”
“To eat. Aren’t you hungry?”
“Not really.”
“You may not be hungry, but your friend is starving.”
Chi Yue: “…”
“Yue’er, I’m sorry, I forgot.”
“It’s okay, as long as you’re happy,” Chi Yue rubbed her head.
When they arrived, Gong Yutong took them to the third floor and directly to a private room. She had already made a reservation.
“This place has everything. What would you like to eat?” Gong Yutong looked at her phone. Her younger brother was looking for her again. It was a headache.
“Mhm,” Mu Yan didn’t hold back, ordering her favorite dishes, then ordered for Chi Yue, and finally handed the menu to Gong Yutong, “I don’t know what you like. Order for yourself.”
“Mhm,” Gong Yutong ordered, and the waiter took the menu away.
“Where are we going later?” Mu Yan looked at Gong Yutong enthusiastically.
Chi Yue instantly had a headache. She was so tired, her legs felt like they would break.
“It’s already past four. Where do you want to go?”
“After dinner, it will be around six. How about watching a movie? Let me see if there’s anything good. If not, then next time,” Mu Yan took out her phone to search for movies.
Gong Yutong leaned back quietly, watching Mu Yan’s serious expression. She was curious about how she and Chi Yue met. Their personalities were too different.
“There’s nothing good. How about next time? We’ll go home after dinner. It’s getting late, and you must be tired.”
“That works.”
She could ask her out again. That was great. It was good that there were no movies she liked.
The three of them returned the way they came after dinner. At the residential gate, Mu Yan looked at Gong Yutong with longing, very reluctant to leave her, even though she would see her tomorrow afternoon. Sometimes, though, Gong Yutong didn’t even come to school.
“Come to school early tomorrow. I’ll teach you and you still have homework to do.”
Mu Yan: “…” How did she forget about that? Right, there was homework. “Then… what time?”
“What time do you want?”
“How about twelve? We can eat together and then go to school.”
“Mhm.”
“Your… your family is here,” she had originally wanted to invite her in.
“Mhm.”
“Eldest Miss,” the bodyguard respectfully opened the car door. Gong Yutong got in and drove away.
“I should have taken a few pictures,” Mu Yan pouted. “Ugh… why am I so stupid?”
“You’re not stupid. Let’s go,” Chi Yue couldn’t take it anymore. She needed to go home and lie down.
“Yue’er, I’m tired, my legs hurt,” she was no longer excited now and realized she was uncomfortable.
“You realize that now?” Chi Yue pulled her. “You were so excited back then. I wonder if you’ll be able to get up tomorrow.”
“I can. I definitely can.” She had to go to school early. She had to study hard and get into the same high school as her.
“You’re obsessed,” although Chi Yue was exhausted herself, she still helped Mu Yan.
