Chapter 16: Yan’er, You Are So Silly

Gong Yutong arrived at the entrance of her own villa, and her phone chimed. She opened it, saw an encoded message, read and deleted it. She opened WeChat, and the few characters she saw instantly dampened her mood by a few degrees. She put her phone away.

She opened the door and the lights were on. Mu Yan heard the sound, didn’t even have time to put on her shoes, took a few steps off the bed and hung onto her neck.

Had Mu Yan been treating her room as her own lately? Every time, she climbed through the window. During the day she would leave the window open, but at night she would close it.

“Sleep,” Gong Yutong lay down on the bed and closed her eyes.

About an hour later, Gong Yutong opened her eyes. Mu Yan had already fallen asleep. Her eyes were filled with murderous intent. The hand around her waist rested softly on her hip. She turned her head to look at Mu Yan, and reached out to touch her face.

“Yan’er, you are so silly,” her voice was filled with helplessness and endless tenderness. She stroked her face until Mu Yan showed signs of waking up, then she withdrew her hand, closed her eyes, and continued to sleep.

Tang Xiaowan stared at Qu Shijin, who was so frightened she kept shrinking into the corner of the sofa. This person was slightly better than Gong Yutong, but her smile was chilling.

“Thank you.” Tang Xiaowan continued to stare at Qu Shijin. “She’s a student, right? She still has a youthful vibe.”

“Which school? I’ll go find one too.”

“Can you stop corrupting students?”

“Didn’t you corrupt one? If you can, why can’t I?”

“Why did you come to see me?”

“No particular reason, just came to see you and hitch a meal.”

Gu Xizhi “…” She wanted to lose her temper, but she didn’t want to scare Qu Shijin. “Xiaojin, you go back first.” She was afraid she wouldn’t be able to resist hitting Tang Xiaowan in a moment.

“You’re protecting her so tightly. I haven’t even left yet.” Tang Xiaowan blocked Qu Shijin, preventing her from leaving.

Qu Shijin quietly sat next to Gu Xizhi, quite wary of Tang Xiaowan.

“If you like animated characters, you can come to my company. Study well and think about it yourself.”

“Okay.” She didn’t know what would happen between her and Gu Xizhi in the future. She decided not to think about it for now, and would wait until graduation.
