When The Harem Novel’s Heroine Meets The Tragic Heroine - Chapter 15
What else could Liuliu say? It simply played dead.
Bei Qiuqiu looked at Yu Qingling with starry eyes. “Sister, you are truly amazing!”
That gaze of unabashed admiration made a rare sense of embarrassment arise within Yu Qingling. She explained briefly, “I have practiced martial arts since I was a child.”
Bei Qiuqiu nodded. Yu Qingling could not only change her own plot but could even wrench a deviated plot back onto the right track. Moreover, she didn’t suffer the punishment of electric shocks from the system at all.
In Bei Qiuqiu’s eyes, this was simply magnificent.
To express her gratitude, Bei Qiuqiu sat behind Yu Qingling. “Sister, let me massage your shoulders. You let me sleep on your shoulder for so long just now; it must be uncomfortable, right?”
Without waiting for a refusal, her small fists began to fall gently. The strength was just right, and Yu Qingling let out a comfortable hum.
Under threat, Feng Yuanhua not only dared not speak a word of tonight’s events himself, but he also strictly ordered the servants outside the villa and the five men lying on the floor to keep their mouths shut. He found a first-aid kit himself, gave himself a simple bandage, and crouched in the corner, peeking at the two women on the sofa from time to time.
He thought his peeking was very subtle, but he didn’t expect to be discovered by Yu Qingling. Those pitch-black eyes looked over, devoid of any emotion, making one’s skin crawl. “What are you peeking at?”
Feng Yuanhua trembled, his voice like the buzz of a mosquito. “I just… just wanted to see when you two plan to leave?”
Yu Qingling glanced at the sky outside the window. It was dawn, and the sky was a murky gray. “Still early.”
Feng Yuanhua was on the verge of tears. He didn’t understand why they wouldn’t leave yet. Were they staying just to intimidate him? But he dared not say anything more; he just tremblingly instructed the servants to provide good food and drink, treating the two with the highest level of hospitality.
After staying for a full twenty-four hours, Bei Qiuqiu pulled Yu Qingling away without looking back.
Yu Qingling had been quite puzzled. During this day and night, after subduing Feng Yuanhua, Bei Qiuqiu didn’t seem to do anything at all. So why did she insist on staying for exactly twenty-four hours? However, this question was never asked, right up until the two waved goodbye.
During these few days spent with Bei Qiuqiu, Yu Qingling had silently learned many small common-sense facts about life. The original owner’s annual leave had also expired, and it was time to return to her rightful life and work. Fortunately, the original owner’s job was as a martial arts coach, which she liked very much.
Xiao Qingtian hadn’t come to bother her for the past few days, and Yu Qingling was happy to have the peace. She thought to herself that it would be wonderful if Xiao Qingtian never came looking for her again, but that was impossible. After all, the monster in her head would still pop out from time to time to assert its presence.
Xiao Qingtian had so many female confidantes; if only he could focus more on the others.
On her first day of work, Yu Qingling carried her bag to the martial arts training hall early in the morning. The hall had three floors: the first floor was the children’s area, the second was the adult area, and the third was the VIP area. Yu Qingling was a coach for the adult area.
After taking some time to figure out that her work today involved leading two large classes and one small class, followed by a private coaching session for a VIP student in the evening, she was full of drive. Especially when she saw the weapons displayed in the armory, she was so excited she wished she could live there from now on.
Modern metal smelting and weapon manufacturing have surpassed ancient times by countless folds. In Yu Qingling’s eyes, this room full of ordinary training swords and sabers looked like divine weapons. If her former army had been equipped with such refined weapons, they would surely have been invincible.
Yet, the other coaches and students in the hall treated the treasures in her eyes as trivial things to be discarded at will.
When the classes ended, the students tossed the swords through the air, and the “divine weapons” landed helter-skelter into the equipment baskets with a series of clattering and clanging sounds. The teaching assistants casually dragged the baskets behind them and tossed them into the armory, leaving them ignored.
Yu Qingling spent the entire day in a state of high excitement and heartbreaking distress.
It wasn’t until the evening, after eating the staff meal at the hall, that Yu Qingling entered the armory alone. With great solemnity, she wiped and cleaned each of these unsharpened training weapons and arranged them neatly.
By the time she emerged from the armory, the assistant, Xiao Li, was already sweating from searching for her.
“Coach Yu, where did you go? I’ve been looking for you for ages. Your phone wouldn’t go through either—why didn’t you answer my calls?”
Yu Qingling didn’t have the habit of carrying a phone with her, but remembering her observation over the past few days that people in this world always had phones glued to them, she felt her pocket and let out an “Ah.”
“Sorry, I forgot to bring it.”
Assistant Xiao Li wailed and threw an arm around her shoulder. “My beautiful Coach Yu, did you forget you still have a class? Luckily, your student doesn’t mind at all that you’re this late.”
Yu Qingling frowned slightly, removed the arm from her neck, and urged, “Since that’s the case, let’s walk faster.”
Xiao Li led the way helplessly. “Did you forget where the VIP classroom is, too?”
Yu Qingling coughed. “I probably haven’t quite snapped back from the leisure of the past few days.”
This was the excuse she had used all morning for her total ignorance of the martial arts hall. It sounded ridiculous, but everyone believed it.
Xiao Li jogged ahead to lead the way. “Coach Yu, you absolutely can’t let this happen again, or we’ll all have our wages docked.”
Yu Qingling complied. As Xiao Li pushed open the door to the VIP classroom, she saw a familiar figure inside.
Xiao Qingtian!
Yu Qingling was stunned for a moment, then ignored Xiao Qingtian’s fawning greeting and asked Jiu Jiu expressionlessly, “Why is he here?”
Jiu Jiu muttered, “Host, Xiao Qingtian met you here at the martial arts hall. I forgot to tell you.”
Yu Qingling rubbed her temples. “Is there a mission today?”
Jiu Jiu hurried to refresh the missions.
After bringing her to the room, Xiao Li departed.
Xiao Qingtian approached, wanting to get close but not quite daring to. He breathed into Yu Qingling’s ear, “Qingling, teach me… how do you snap nunchucks with your bare hands? Please?”
Yu Qingling: “???”
