- Chapter 117 - Extra - The Grand Wedding: "Could it be… that Sister Tingxi is the one who wants it?"
“Have you heard? Three days from now, our villa is hosting a grand, open-invitation banquet!”
“Of course! Everyone in the entire villa gets a share!”
“I even saw them setting up a massive, temporary teleportation array over at the Sword-Rest Platform to connect us directly with Stream Mountain. They’re hosting a banquet over there too! They say the mother and daughter running the kitchens the Luos have absolute magic in their hands!”
A multi-day, non-stop wedding banquet was originally a tradition of the demon clans of Stream Mountain. But since the Second Miss of Kongming Villa was marrying the daughter of the Stream Mountain Master, the tradition naturally swept through the villa as well.
A full nine days of feasting, running non-stop from breakfast to late-night suppers, with everything you could possibly imagine on the menu.
While both sides of the family were busy with preparations, Yue Tingxi and Qin Suliu were over at “Water Moon Gauze,” watching Luo Yansha put the final, frantic touches on their wedding robes.
Truth be told, the robes were already flawless. But ever since Luo Yansha had regained her memories, she couldn’t stop thinking about how much the two of them had suffered on their long, displaced journey in their past lives. She insisted on absolute perfection. Even though the wedding was a mere three days away, she was still inspecting every inch of the fabric, looking for any tiny detail she could improve.
Mother Luo had tried to help, but Luo Yansha had playfully coaxed and pushed her out of the room, leaving her mother to mind the shop front, completely amused but helpless.
“Sigh, ever since I got my memories back, every time I look at my mother, I… I just want to cry!” Activating the soundproof barrier, Luo Yansha let out a soft sigh. “And I’ve started missing little Chenjing, too. I don’t even know if she’s currently inside the Black Water Secret Realm. I want so badly to bring her home…”
In her past memories, during the three years when the world was struck by natural disasters, it had always been Chanying and Bifang by her side.
Now, Chanying had regained her memories too, but Bifang’s whereabouts remained unknown. Because the Black Water Secret Realm currently only opened once every three years, if she wanted to retrieve Bifang, she would just have to wait.
“It will open in another six months. We’ll go search for her together then,” Yue Tingxi comforted her gently. “And this time, you have more than enough cultivation strength to enter the realm!”
Though the overarching Will of the World no longer existed, Yue Tingxi now understood that the secret realms were actual trial grounds left behind by the Creator God. As long as the natural flow of spiritual energy in the world continued to circulate, the realms would keep functioning normally.
Furthermore, their previous act of dispersing spiritual energy had already replenished what Xisheng had drained from the world. They wouldn’t have to worry about the energy fading for at least another two to three thousand years.
She just wasn’t entirely sure if the time-manipulation spells she had placed on the Black Water Secret Realm back when she was the Will of the World were still active.
If they had failed, she might truly have to wait until the exact point in time when she originally found Bifang’s egg in the past to bring little Chenjing out of the realm.
On the very eve of the wedding, Luo Yansha finally delivered the two absolutely flawless wedding robes to her old friends.
She threw in a collection of shimmering, golden hairpins as a bonus. Her mother had insisted on the gift, noting that if the master of Qingyu Mountain hadn’t rescued them all those years ago, the two of them would have long since become nothing more than dust in the lower realms. They could never have dreamed of living such a blessed life today.
Yue Tingxi wasn’t particularly skilled at putting on such elaborate, traditional garments. Fortunately, they were both powerful cultivators with plenty of time and energy to spare. Qin Suliu patiently helped her dress from head to toe, giving her a gentle, step-by-step tutorial along the way.
By the time the horizon began to brighten with the dawn, Yue Tingxi had actually learned enough to return the favor, carefully helping Qin Suliu dress in her own intricate layers.
The accessories selected by Mother Luo were exquisite and regal without feeling gaudy. She had specifically drawn custom designs tailored to their unique tastes and heritages, commissioning the finest craftsmen of the upper realms to forge them. From the hairpins and forehead ornaments to the earrings, necklaces, and bracelets, every piece was perfectly coordinated, complementing Luo Yansha’s wedding robes beautifully without overpowering them.
“The last time you wore red robes like this must have been back when we traveled to the past to hunt down those villains, right?” Yue Tingxi murmured. “Maybe it’s just because my current self lacks life experience, but whenever I think about those hypocrites crowding at the foot of Buzeqi Mountain, spouting their twisted, backwards logic, I still get so angry!”
There were those who wept and wailed that their partners were killed “just for visiting a house of pleasure”—conveniently ignoring how those same partners had forced the courtesans into servitude and brutally tortured them to death if they refused. The two girls hadn’t just killed that particular monster; they had torn the whole den of vice down to the ground.
There were children who couldn’t comprehend why their “loving” mothers had been executed, completely unaware that their mothers had conspired with dark soul-masters, raising their children with meticulous care for the sole purpose of one day offering them up as human sacrifices to some nameless, sinister deity.
And then there were those who cursed them for not executing a “clueless doctor” who had supposedly ruined their family line. In reality, that doctor had fought with every ounce of her strength to save a dying mother during a catastrophic childbirth, even paying for the expensive spiritual pills out of her own pocket. Yet, that very night, the woman’s husband had hired assassins to murder the doctor—all because she had been forced to remove the mother’s womb to save her life, rendering her unable to bear him any more children.
This world had always been like a yin-yang fish; light and shadow would forever walk hand in hand. Even the gods themselves could never guarantee a perfectly clean world.
But at the very least, the two of them had always stood firm in their own justice. In everything they did, they could face their own souls without a single shred of shame.
On the day of Yue Tingxi and Qin Suliu’s grand wedding, red silks and vibrant lanterns adorned every corner of the two mountains.
The ceremonial cannons sent over by Tushan Jinglan boomed through the skies, shaking the earth. The wedding orchestra was split right down the middle: one half consisted of master musicians trained by Lin Fengqing, while the other half featured special, divine instruments crafted by Xie Zhi. Once a musical score was fed into them, they could play perfectly all on their own.
Way back during their eighty-first loop, when Yue Tingxi and Qin Suliu had wed on Stream Mountain, Xie Zhi had pulled the exact same stunt. Back then, Qingwu had grumbled, complaining, “Does it have to be the suona horn?” Yet today, even Qingwu had willingly joined the ranks of those playing the loud, traditional horns.
After all, no other instrument brought quite the same level of sheer, triumphant joy and grandeur to an occasion.
Upon reaching the highest pavilion of Kongming Villa, Yue Tingxi and Qin Suliu held hands, bowing first to Heaven and Earth, and then to the parents seated on the high dais.
Xie Zhi was tactful enough to stand by the door frame, leaving Qingwu to receive the parental bows alone. She knew perfectly well that she was merely a lingering, complicated “toxic ex” to Qingwu; she had no right to claim the title of Yue Tingxi’s mother.
Down at the wedding feast, Qin Yingwang kept a watchful, terrifying eye over the guests. With her lingering nearby, not a single soul dared to push past boundaries, force the brides to drink, or make inappropriate jokes.
The little girl who had once desperately wished to grow strong enough to protect her older sister had truly become a fearless, formidable shield. Just seeing her standing guard was enough to make everyone breathe a sigh of absolute relief.
The newlyweds weren’t in any rush to retreat to the bridal suite just yet. After finishing their rounds of toasts at the villa, they hopped onto the temporary teleportation array and swept over to Stream Mountain. There, they changed into a second set of lighter, more practical wedding robes that Luo Yansha had thoughtfully prepared, and began strolling through the bustling little night market set up by the mountain demons.
Before long, they ran into Chanying, Yunruan, and Langyue an old friend of the Qingyu Mountain Daoist.
Yunruan had become a mother to a new litter of puppy demons. Wherever she went, a trail of fluffy, un-metamorphosed pups trotted closely behind her.
Qin Suliu couldn’t resist crouching down to pet the soft, velvety fur of the puppies. Looking at them naturally brought to mind the little snake that Yue Tingxi had been yearning for.
Taking advantage of the moment when Yue Tingxi stepped away to play a ring-toss game for some trinkets, Qin Suliu summoned her courage and sent a private sound transmission to Yunruan, asking how exactly two women could conceive a child together using cultivation.
To her surprise, Yunruan firmly believed that bringing a child into the world was a monumental decision that required both partners to be fully informed. Without a second thought, she turned right around and called over Yue Tingxi, who was still holding a handful of plastic rings, and gave the two of them an incredibly detailed, explicit anatomical lecture on the subject.
“You… you weren’t planning on gathering your spiritual energy to manifest a little snake tonight during our wedding night, were you?!”
After practically fleeing from Yunruan, Yue Tingxi returned her game rings, collected her small prizes, and whispered in a frantic, incredibly quiet sound transmission. “We… we just officially initiated our relationship, okay? Past lives don’t count!”
“I never said I wanted a little snake this early,” Qin Suliu said, her eyes curving into bright, teasing crescents as she looked at her. “Could it be… that Sister Tingxi is the one who wants it?”

The future little snake: “???”
