Try Saying You Don't Like It - Chapter 50
Chapter 50
The first experience was very good, except that by the end, He Xinglan didn’t know how the dress Yin Qiuman was wearing ended up on her own body.
He Xinglan was contemplating this problem the second before she fell asleep, and her mind was still hazy when she woke up.
By the time she got up, Yin Qiuman had already left, but breakfast was prepared in the kitchen. The cleaning lady He Xinglan had scheduled arrived just as she finished eating.
He Xinglan handed the premises over to the cleaning lady, changed her clothes, and went out.
She had to go to the bar today. Lin Yue had told her last night that she needed to discuss something.
The bar would certainly be empty during the day. He Xinglan figured Lin Yue must have had to work late after leaving her last night, so she took the key and opened the door herself.
However, just as she opened the door and was about to head upstairs, she bumped into Lin Yue coming down.
Lin Yue was wearing an oversized shirt, revealing two long, straight legs.
There were also several noticeable hickey marks on her slender neck.
He Xinglan blinked and smiled suggestively: “I seem to have arrived at the wrong time.”
Lin Yue was startled when she saw He Xinglan, but He Xinglan’s teasing didn’t faze her at all. She calmly came downstairs and told He Xinglan: “Let’s talk downstairs. It’s quiet enough here. Don’t wake her up.”
“Her?” He Xinglan chuckled mischievously: “Lin Yue, who is this ‘her’?”
Lin Yue: “…You know the answer.”
When talking about ‘her,’ a smile involuntarily appeared on Lin Yue’s face. She glanced at He Xinglan, pride mingled with confidence: “My girlfriend.”
Lin Yue admitted it just like that. He Xinglan thought she would have to heavily interrogate her before she’d tell the truth.
Since Lin Yue had admitted it, He Xinglan’s naughty intentions were useless. She could only sigh and smile: “That’s great.”
“I’m happy, and you’re happy. That’s truly wonderful.”
As He Xinglan’s words fell, Lin Yue punched He Xinglan’s shoulder hard.
“Why are you being so sentimental? Trying to trick tears out of me? Hey, I’m not that delicate,”
“Alright, let’s talk business.” Lin Yue dropped her joking expression and became serious.
“I called you here today to discuss opening a branch of the bar.”
“Open a branch?” He Xinglan raised an eyebrow.
Lin Yue nodded: “This bar has been fully booked for a while. Many customers have asked if we have a branch, but before, both you and I treated it like a hobby, so we never considered it. But now, you have a family, and I have a family. We need to earn money.”
He Xinglan looked at Lin Yue with great surprise and touched her forehead: “You don’t have a fever. Are you really Lin Yue?”
He Xinglan knew exactly what kind of person Lin Yue was.
She lived day to day. Her only legitimate business was running this bar, but her demands were low. She didn’t seek to make a fortune, only to make enough to survive.
But now, Lin Yue actually had ambition?!
Lin Yue slapped He Xinglan’s rude hand away: “Just tell me if you want to or not.”
“Of course, I want to.”
Who would refuse to make money?
However, He Xinglan also had a condition: “I’ll provide the money, but I won’t do the work. The bar is entirely in your hands. If you get too busy, you can hire a manager. Don’t rope me in.”
He Xinglan was afraid she wouldn’t even have a bed to sleep in if she went back to work.
Lin Yue had already guessed this. She accepted it quickly, but she still rolled her eyes.
“You henpecked husband.”
So what if she was henpecked? She was proud of it. He Xinglan lifted her chin, not at all ashamed.
Leng Ci and Yin Huaishan didn’t go back once they arrived in Qingcheng.
He’s father and mother used the excuse that the two children had already proposed to keep them, starting to prepare the two daughters’ wedding with all their efforts.
The auspicious date was chosen as March 17th, Yin Qiuman’s birthday.
This made the already special day even more so.
As the adults on both sides had planned, He Xinglan and Yin Qiuman only received calls from their parents when their presence was absolutely necessary, sparing time for things like wedding dress fittings and choosing the style of the venue decorations.
The plan to open a branch was set into motion immediately after He Xinglan agreed.
On March 16th, the bar’s branch opened.
He Xinglan brought Yin Qiuman to attend.
Lin Yue finally brought out the girlfriend she had kept so tightly hidden.
However, He Xinglan never expected Lin Yue’s girlfriend to be… Meng Chixi?
He Xinglan was stunned. She turned to look at Lin Yue, wanting to speak several times but stopping herself.
Lin Yue winked at He Xinglan.
Having been friends for many years, He Xinglan instantly understood Lin Yue’s meaning.
He Xinglan mentally gave Lin Yue a big thumbs-up in admiration.
Yin Qiuman had an impression of Meng Chixi from two encounters, so seeing Meng Chixi standing next to Lin Yue, she couldn’t help but look twice.
He Xinglan’s eyes were glued to Yin Qiuman today, so she noticed Yin Qiuman looking at Meng Chixi immediately.
“Manman, let me introduce someone to you.” He Xinglan simply pulled Yin Qiuman over to Lin Yue and Meng Chixi.
“Meng Chixi, Lin Yue’s girlfriend,” He Xinglan’s tone was a little anxious.
It was as if she was eager to explain something.
Lin Yue: Useless.
Meng Chixi chuckled, feeling relieved inside. But seeing He Xinglan so eager to distance herself, she felt a tiny bit of annoyance. Her eyes darted, and Meng Chixi politely offered her hand to Yin Qiuman.
“Hello, Miss Yin. My name is Meng Chixi. I once liked Boss He, and now I am Yueyue’s girlfriend.”
The way Meng Chixi said this… He Xinglan immediately looked at Yin Qiuman, nervous and scared.
“Manman…”
Yin Qiuman smiled at He Xinglan, squeezed He Xinglan’s hand, and then looked at Meng Chixi, her smile even broader: “Hello, Miss Meng has good taste.”
This referred to what Meng Chixi said about once liking He Xinglan, and also that Meng Chixi now liked Lin Yue.
Her comment left everyone speechless.
All four people present were rendered speechless.
Lin Yue gave He Xinglan a ‘see-what-I-mean’ look, then dragged Meng Chixi away.
He Xinglan was tough to deal with, and her wife was even tougher.
They weren’t going to stick around just to be abused.
Lin Yue dragged Meng Chixi around the wedding venue like a social butterfly. Whenever someone was curious about Meng Chixi, she would proudly introduce Meng Chixi as her girlfriend, welcoming everyone’s surprised or complimentary looks with satisfaction.
Then she dragged Meng Chixi along until the wedding began.
He Xinglan and Yin Qiuman’s wedding was held outdoors. Not many people came, but those who did were the closest family members from both sides, all arriving with blessings.
Under everyone’s blessings, they made their vows and exchanged rings. The two former individuals were declared a single entity. The bouquet in He Xinglan’s hand successfully landed in Lin Yue’s.
Perhaps seeing that He Xinglan was married, Lin Yue was more anxious. After catching the bouquet, she immediately turned around and knelt down on one knee in front of Meng Chixi.
“Xiaoxi, marry me.”
The bouquet in Yin Qiuman’s hand, however, landed in Xiao Hua’s hands.
Xiao Hua stood there holding the bouquet, completely bewildered.
Help! She didn’t even have a partner yet!
Later, when He Xinglan and Yin Qiuman received Xiao Hua’s wedding invitation, they learned that after attending their wedding, on the way back, Xiao Hua had fallen in love at first sight with a young man returning to their hometown, who wore glasses.
Their falling in love was as fast as playing house: love at first sight, meeting both families a month later, setting the wedding date three months later, and having to marry because they were expecting after only five months.
After attending Xiao Hua’s wedding, He Xinglan and Yin Qiuman walked hand in hand down the small paths of the small county town.
It was the road they often walked during their school days.
He Xinglan suddenly turned her head and asked Yin Qiuman:
“Do you still remember the scene of our first meeting?”
“The first time?”
Yin Qiuman narrowed her eyes slightly, thought for a moment, and shook her head.
“The time that left the deepest impression on me was when we became desk mates.”
For three years of high school, He Xinglan had been a stranger to Yin Qiuman for the first two and a half years.
Their interaction only truly began in the second half of their final year of high school.
