Try Saying You Don't Like It - Chapter 25
Chapter 25
He Xinglan was quite satisfied with that answer and was about to say something more when Yin Qiuman suddenly reached out her hand to her.
He Xinglan immediately took a step back with a look of guard: “What do you want?”
Yin Qiuman looked up at He Xinglan with a pair of moist eyes, her soft voice carrying a hint of grievance: “Is my Star only allowed to be looked at and not touched?”
Uh, well, not exactly.
They had both taken off their clothes, so they couldn’t just stop there, could they?!
Moreover, He Xinglan could feel her own stirring heart, and it wouldn’t be satisfied so easily.
Seeing He Xinglan remain silent, Yin Qiuman paused, then suddenly stood up from the bathtub. A portrait of a beauty emerging from the water was instantly presented before He Xinglan.
He Xinglan subconsciously closed her eyes, but then thought: Yin Qiuman has seen me completely naked; wouldn’t it be a loss if I didn’t look back? So she opened her eyes again.
Her heartbeat grew louder, and He Xinglan’s face went from faintly pink to bright red because of the view before her.
Yin Qiuman: “I can let you touch me first.”
Yin Qiuman said this with extreme sincerity, but she didn’t realize that this blatant invitation was simply irresistible to He Xinglan.
He Xinglan’s hand moved faster than her brain. By the time her brain reacted, her hand was already placed on Yin Qiuman’s fair, smooth skin.
The trembling hand seemed to transmit that tremor to the owner of that skin. Although the heating was on in the bathroom, both of them shuddered at the same time.
Shyness was slowly replaced by a flaring passion. He Xinglan’s breathing became heavier, and the distance between her and Yin Qiuman grew smaller and smaller until the two of them were pressed against each other.
“Yin Qiuman, are you really not going to regret this?” He Xinglan’s breath sprayed onto Yin Qiuman’s slender neck. That last shred of sanity made her ask.
“I will never regret it again,” Yin Qiuman replied very, very softly. The words felt airy in He Xinglan’s ear, as if coming from a very distant place, yet the meaning carried over that long distance felt even heavier.
He Xinglan believed her. This was the first time she truly believed what Yin Qiuman said.
Saying nothing more, both of them were aroused. Anything said now would be superfluous; the most primal impulse from their bodies was the best answer.
Everything that followed went remarkably smoothly. It was He Xinglan’s first time going all the way, and she was still a little hesitant. Even though she wanted it badly, she was still afraid of accidentally hurting Yin Qiuman.
In the end, it was Yin Qiuman who couldn’t wait and provoked He Xinglan: “Can’t my Star do it? Or don’t you know how?”
The next day, Yin Qiuman woke up earlier than He Xinglan. Her heart paused when she saw the hotel room ceiling, feeling like it was floating in mid-air, until she saw He Xinglan sleeping next to her. Only then did her floating heart settle down.
Yin Qiuman propped her head on her hand and gazed at He Xinglan. She wanted to reach out and touch her but was afraid of waking her up, so she resisted the urge. She just examined her closely, comparing the current He Xinglan with the eighteen-year-old He Xinglan.
Gradually, the eighteen-year-old He Xinglan was buried deeper and deeper in Yin Qiuman’s heart. The one appearing before her eyes was the current He Xinglan.
Her love did not dissipate or decrease with the burial of the past He Xinglan; instead, it grew stronger.
The deep affection in her eyes directly hit He Xinglan, who had just woken up and opened her eyes.
He Xinglan’s earlobes quickly turned the color of the sunset glow, and her speech was stumbling: “You… don’t look at me like that.”
“She’s my girlfriend; can’t I look at her?” Yin Qiuman frowned upon hearing He Xinglan’s words, clearly dissatisfied.
Girlfriend? Yin Qiuman’s sentence successfully pulled He Xinglan back to last night.
In the bathtub, on the big bed, on the sofa—even in this matter, Yin Qiuman still lived up to her reputation as a straight-A student. The initiative started in He Xinglan’s hands, but in an instant of distraction, Yin Qiuman snatched it away.
She was mischievous. When He Xinglan refused to say the words she wanted to hear, she tormented her, deliberately provoking her urges and then refusing to satisfy them. She would only grant the pleasure He Xinglan craved after He Xinglan begged and obeyed her.
The identity of He Xinglan’s girlfriend was coaxed out of her by Yin Qiuman at that time.
Seeing He Xinglan remain silent and lost in thought, Yin Qiuman sat up anxiously.
“He Xinglan, I forbid you to back out, otherwise…” Yin Qiuman had no idea where she had learned such a crooked trick; she immediately started with a threat.
He Xinglan remembered that the old Yin Qiuman was not like this.
But why does this feel a little exhilarating?!
He Xinglan carefully hid her own little secret joy, then looked at Yin Qiuman. The next second, her face turned bright red.
“Yin Qiuman, lie down quickly.” He Xinglan grabbed the blanket and covered Yin Qiuman, pressing her down onto the bed, hiding the evidence of her own mischief from last night.
Yin Qiuman allowed He Xinglan to press her onto the bed, and then simultaneously reached out and pulled He Xinglan under the blanket as well.
“It’s cold.”
Yin Qiuman’s reason was simple, spoken with a blank expression, but in reality, it was because she too had noticed the ambiguous marks on He Xinglan’s body.
He Xinglan didn’t notice this. Only after they lay down did she try to soothe Yin Qiuman’s earlier anxiety and fear.
“I’m not going to back out,” He Xinglan said seriously. “I just… need a moment to adjust.”
Yin Qiuman stared at He Xinglan for a while. He Xinglan didn’t dodge, letting Yin Qiuman look. After a moment, Yin Qiuman spoke: “I remember when you were eighteen, you didn’t have any trouble adjusting to having a girlfriend.”
At that time, the one who needed to adjust was her.
He Xinglan felt ashamed: “I was a newborn calf back then; I wasn’t afraid of tigers.”
“Oh,” Yin Qiuman looked at He Xinglan with wide eyes and asked: “Then what about the twenty-five-year-old He Xinglan? Is she the same?”
“Or has the twenty-five-year-old He Xinglan already been defeated by the eighteen-year-old He Xinglan?”
He Xinglan had a flaw—or rather, a flaw that only existed because of Yin Qiuman: she couldn’t stand being provoked.
Perhaps it was because of love that she cared more.
He Xinglan gave a near-reflexive answer: “How is that possible?”
“Then post an official announcement on your Moments.” As soon as He Xinglan finished speaking, Yin Qiuman immediately handed her the phone. Everything seemed to have been premeditated.
He Xinglan looked at Yin Qiuman, hoping to see a hint of a joke in her eyes, but He Xinglan was destined to be disappointed.
Yin Qiuman looked at her with sincere eyes, telling her that she was serious.
There was also a hidden longing; she yearned for He Xinglan to introduce her to everyone.
He Xinglan finally compromised.
“I’ll post it,” He Xinglan took the phone, opened the WeChat Moments, and said to Yin Qiuman: “Send me a solo picture of yourself.”
“Why just my picture for the announcement? Shouldn’t we post a picture of the two of us?” Yin Qiuman didn’t send a picture. Instead, she grabbed He Xinglan, ready to take a live photo, but when the camera faced their faces, Yin Qiuman hesitated and only took a picture of their intertwined hands.
He Xinglan had already prepared her facial expression, but Yin Qiuman switched to taking a picture of their hands?
What did that mean?
He Xinglan couldn’t help but let her mind wander.
Did Yin Qiuman only insist on her posting to humor her? Did she actually not want anyone to know that she, Yin Qiuman, was with He Xinglan?
Yin Qiuman took the photo using He Xinglan’s phone and then helped her post the Moment. The caption, of course, was the simplest and most direct four characters: ‘Together Now’ (在一起了).
After posting the Moment for He Xinglan, Yin Qiuman picked up her own phone, opened the camera again, and aimed the lens at herself and He Xinglan: “Smile.”
He Xinglan subconsciously obeyed and smiled. The next second, Yin Qiuman’s lips were pressed against her face.
The camera clicked at that moment.
“All done,” Yin Qiuman curved her lips, temporarily setting He Xinglan aside, and started to post her own Moment on her phone.
He Xinglan hid her complex emotions and leaned closer.
“Are you posting one too?” He Xinglan asked, watching Yin Qiuman’s actions.
“Of course,” Yin Qiuman replied without looking up: “It’s a huge deal that I have a girlfriend, and besides, my girlfriend is so beautiful, she’s not someone to be hidden, is she?!”
He Xinglan had to admit that Yin Qiuman’s few short sentences completely dispelled the gloom in her heart.
“Then why did the Moment you posted for me only have a picture of us holding hands?”
Yin Qiuman: Why did He Xinglan’s voice sound a little aggrieved?
Yin Qiuman immediately stopped what she was doing, looked up at He Xinglan, and said definitively: “Was it a misunderstanding?”
He Xinglan hesitated for a moment, then nodded.
“It would have been a misunderstanding if you hadn’t posted this Moment.”
“Now, I’m just a little confused.”
Yin Qiuman nodded and said: “Then can you give me a few seconds to finish posting this Moment before I explain?”
Of course, He Xinglan could. She was very obedient.
Yin Qiuman quickly finished editing her Moment, hit post, and then resolutely pressed the screen-off button.
“He Xinglan, you’ve had many girlfriends.”
He Xinglan didn’t speak, remaining silent, thinking: Is Yin Qiuman going to bring up the past now?
Yin Qiuman continued since He Xinglan said nothing.
“So you must have posted many similar Moments, all with their pictures. I don’t want your friends to think I’m the same as them.”
Because she didn’t love them and didn’t care, she could show them to anyone. Because she loved and cared, she wanted to hide the most precious thing.
In fact, if she hadn’t sensed He Xinglan’s lack of security, Yin Qiuman would have filtered out many people from her Moment.
Only her closest people would have known.
He Xinglan suddenly understood, then looked at Yin Qiuman with a silly smile: “So you were jealous?”
Yin Qiuman nodded openly: “So now I’m going to exercise my rights as your girlfriend.”
“What?”
As soon as He Xinglan finished speaking, Yin Qiuman directly picked up He Xinglan’s phone, opened He Xinglan’s Moments, and deleted every single post related to her ex-girlfriends, whether it was an official announcement or anything else.
