- Transmigration! The System Wants Me to Pursue the Abstinent Senior Sister
- Chapter 8 - Every Heartless Path Has Its Love Tribulation
Luo Yunhuan’s fingers gripped the blanket tightly, but her eyes couldn’t help darting toward Qin Yiqiu. She saw that the senior sister’s collar was slightly open, revealing fair skin tinged with a faint blush. Droplets of water slid down her skin and disappeared into the “cleavage.”
Luo Yunhuan felt as if her nose was about to bleed.
As a woman who had never been in love, how could she withstand such a devastatingly beautiful sight?
But she couldn’t make a fool of herself in front of her senior sister, that would only earn her dislike.
Snapping back to reality, Luo Yunhuan nodded.
“Senior Sister, it looks like you’re injured.”
Luo Yunhuan’s face showed concern. Even if it wasn’t for the sake of her mission, she should feel grateful toward someone who had saved her twice. After all, if not for Senior Sister, she might have ended up in prison the moment she transmigrated here.
“Don’t worry, it’s just a deviation in my cultivation. I can handle it myself.”
Qin Yiqiu shook her head and tried to stand up, but the meridians in her calves felt as though they were being pierced by thousands of red-hot needles.
“Mm…”
Unable to hold on, Qin Yiqiu collapsed.
Luo Yunhuan didn’t even bother with the blanket anymore, reaching out to catch her in her arms. Though her senior sister felt cold, she could sense the warmth emanating from her chest.
“Senior Sister, don’t push yourself. I’ll take you back.”
With that, Luo Yunhuan wrapped her arms tightly around the other’s waist and began dragging her toward the shore.
“Let go…”
If Qin Yiqiu weren’t injured at this moment, and if she didn’t want to harm Luo Yunhuan, the latter would have long been swatted like a flattened mosquito and one with its brains splattered, at that.
“I won’t let go.”
Luo Yunhuan’s voice was soft and delicate, but those simple words carried an unyielding strength.
“Senior Sister has saved me so many times. How could I possibly let go?”
Her tone was resolute as she slowly guided Qin Yiqiu toward the shore.
The path from the spirit spring to the senior sister’s courtyard was short, yet for some reason, Luo Yunhuan felt it was incredibly long.
But the journey wasn’t torturous. Luo Yunhuan carried Qin Yiqiu on her back, marveling at the thought that she, a Qi Refining cultivator, was carrying a Golden Core cultivator.
Qin Yiqiu, however, wasn’t heavy light as a wisp of cloud. As Luo Yunhuan walked slowly with her on her back, she could feel the damp strands of hair brushing against her neck.
Cool and refreshing, accompanied by Qin Yiqiu’s soft breaths it was almost unbearable.
Damn it!
She couldn’t let her thoughts wander.
Luo Yunhuan hadn’t even had the chance to deploy her “beauty tactics” today before Qin Yiqiu had already suffered a cultivation deviation. She could only lament the missed opportunity.
And she had even bitten her senior sister’s lip earlier. She hoped the other wouldn’t hold it against her she had only done it out of fear that Qin Yiqiu might fall into demonic cultivation.
After carrying her senior sister back to the courtyard, Luo Yunhuan stammered out a minor spell. With a gesture, spiritual energy drifted out, drying Qin Yiqiu’s damp clothes.
Her fingers trembling, Luo Yunhuan slowly fastened the open collar, making sure not a hint of skin above the collarbone was exposed.
Only then did she let out a sigh of relief.
Then, lantern in hand, she made her way down the mountain. The world of cultivation didn’t distinguish between day and night, so the Spring Breeze Hall was still brightly lit at this hour.
This place is full of medical practitioners, different from alchemists. Medical practitioners primarily use healing techniques directly.
“I need to see the head of the Spring Breeze Hall.”
Luo Yunhuan took out her token. The senior sister had suffered a deviation in her cultivation, and seeking help from these inexperienced novice physicians was utterly useless.
She had to go straight to the hospital director.
Oh, wait the hall master.
Initially, the disciples of Spring Breeze Hall, seeing Luo Yunhuan dressed plainly in the attire of an outer sect disciple, intended to shoo her away like swatting a fly.
But when they saw her produce the token from the main peak, their attitude immediately softened.
“This is the token from the main peak. Does the senior sister or the sect leader have any instructions?”
Luo Yunhuan’s eyebrow twitched slightly. These people truly rely on their master’s status to act high and mighty, how are they any different from those eunuchs in the imperial palace?
Though she silently cursed them in her heart,
Luo Yunhuan outwardly appeared very anxious. Even though she knew that, as a supporting female character, the senior sister wouldn’t die so easily, Luo Yunhuan was still worried she might develop hidden injuries.
“Senior sister has suffered a cultivation deviation. Quickly, summon the hall master to see her.”
Hearing this, the disciples of Spring Breeze Hall panicked and hurried to call the hall master. Before long, Luo Yunhuan saw a middle-aged man emerge from a room, carrying the scent of medicine.
He glanced at her briefly and, without hesitation, soared on clouds and mist toward the main peak. Luo Yunhuan had no choice but to follow a few disciples as they rushed back to the main peak.
By the time she climbed back to the main peak, Qin Yiqiu had already been helped up, propped against a soft pillow, her face pale.
“Young Sect Leader, how many times has the Sect Leader told you not to be so impatient for success?”
The head of Spring Breeze Hall had a face as dark as the bottom of a pot. He was the junior brother of the Cloud Sword Mountain Sect’s leader,
making him Qin Yiqiu’s martial uncle, so he certainly had the authority to scold her.
Qin Yiqiu’s expression remained impassive, as if she paid no mind to the hall master’s reprimands, her face still cold.
Only when she heard footsteps at the door did her ice-blue eyes fix intently on Luo Yunhuan. Luo Yunhuan lowered her head, feeling somewhat embarrassed.
“Senior Sister, is your condition serious?”
Luo Yunhuan tentatively asked.
“Thank you.”
Qin Yiqiu pursed her lips, the corners lifting just slightly a detail keenly caught by the Spring Breeze Hall master. His heart was already in turmoil.
Even the whiskers at the corners of his mouth trembled faintly.
“Junior Sister, you notified Martial Uncle in time. My injuries have been stabilized; it’s nothing serious.”
The Spring Breeze Hall master added a few more reminders about what she could and couldn’t do during her recovery before finally leaving.
As he departed, he cast a deep glance at Luo Yunhuan.
There seemed to be a hidden meaning in his eyes.
Cultivating the Path of Emotionlessness primarily involves severing all ties between oneself and the world. As the saying goes, the Great Way forgets emotions though the heart holds no feelings and remains undisturbed, it can encompass all things under heaven. This is a true path to attaining the Dao and ascending as an immortal.
If one masters the Emotionless Technique, even ascending to the upper realm would allow them to contend with other immortals.
But precisely because of this, one must undergo many trials. Even monks seeking scriptures endured eighty-one hardships, how much more so for those cultivating the Dao?
My senior brother once said that Qin Yiqiu was bound to have emotional entanglements. Even without a love tribulation, she would inevitably face other life trials. This was something they couldn’t interfere with she had to bear them herself. If she could endure, she would achieve the Great Dao; if not, she would have to start all over again.
But how could he bear it?
The slightest mishap in the future of Cloud Sword Mountain Sect.
This matter still needed to be reported to senior brother.
The Hall Master of Spring Breeze Hall hurriedly left, leaving only the two of them in the room once more.
“Senior Sister, I should head back now.”
Luo Yunhuan felt somewhat awkward and was about to leave when the person lying on the bed beckoned to her.
“Come here, let me see.”
“Did you bite your lip?”
