- Transmigration! The System Wants Me to Pursue the Abstinent Senior Sister
- Chapter 51 - Junior Sister Has an Admirer, Senior Sister Feels Sour
Qin Yiqiu was somewhat surprised that her junior sister had agreed so readily. But upon further thought, it seemed the other party had no choice after all, she was the head senior sister of the Cloud Sword Mountain Sect. When she spoke or acted, no one dared to refuse.
“Are you really sure about this?”
“Mhm, why would I be lying?”
Luo Yunhuan held her even tighter, rising on her tiptoes to press their cheeks together. She loved the warmth of the senior sister’s body cool at first, but gradually warming the longer they stayed close.
“Senior Sister, I’m really happy I can help you.”
“Even though having our red thread severed will be painful, you still need to cultivate the Emotionless Technique. I can’t hold you back.”
Luo Yunhuan spoke honestly. But how could such selfless devotion not stir Qin Yiqiu’s heart?
To distract herself and ignore the ripples in her heart, Qin Yiqiu directly took out a compass from her storage ring. The compass’s needle danced wildly before finally settling on the direction where the Cloud Sword Mountain Sect disciples had retreated.
“I’ll compensate you. Whatever I can do, I’ll give it to you.”
Qin Yiqiu made this promise, unaware that she would later have to do many embarrassing things to fulfill it.
“Oh?”
“You said that yourself, Senior Sister.”
Luo Yunhuan’s eyes widened, her spirits instantly lifting. Squinting, she now resembled a cunning fox, a far cry from the docile kitten she had been moments before.
“Can I ask for anything?”
Qin Yiqiu: “…”
Why did she feel something was off?
But she still nodded. The flying sword drew closer, and the compass stopped spinning, locking onto a direction. It seemed they wouldn’t be long before reuniting with the main group.
“Alright.”
Even though she suspected her junior sister might be setting a trap, Qin Yiqiu agreed.
The flying sword continued forward, crossing a narrow valley. The beast tide beneath them was no longer as ferocious, its pace slowing considerably as the crescent moon gradually descended below the horizon. In a few hours, dawn would break, the moon would vanish, and the demonic beasts would return to normal.
Though they hadn’t completely survived the dangerous night, Qin Yiqiu finally caught up with the main group led by her junior brother. However, the Cloud Sword Mountain Sect disciples weren’t faring well some had broken bones, others internal injuries. They looked listless, like seedlings scorched under a blazing sun, their leaves drooping weakly over parched yellow earth.
Upon seeing the senior sister return, they perked up instantly, as if injected with adrenaline or fed premium nutrients.
“Senior Sister is back! Thank goodness!”
“We’re saved!”
Cheers erupted as if welcoming a hero through a triumphal arch. Luo Yunhuan fell into a brief daze, finally realizing just how beloved the person in her arms was to others.
Qin Yiqiu brought the flying sword to a halt just a foot or two above the ground. Luo Yunhuan hopped off effortlessly. Though the bloodstains on her clothes were still somewhat alarming, her wounds had already healed. After all, this was the senior sister’s secret, top-tier medicine if it didn’t work, that would be truly disastrous.
Before Luo Yunhuan could speak, a group of injured disciples swarmed around her, their eyes filled with eager anticipation.
They were now nearly out of supplies and trapped in a valley, with piles of rubble heaped on both sides, hoping the wild beasts wouldn’t discover their hiding place.
With the arrival of the senior sister, everyone finally felt a sense of security, knowing they would not die.
Qin Yiqiu had stayed behind to cover their retreat, a testament to her strength and dedication to the sect.
Luo Yunhuan quietly stepped back a couple of steps, letting everyone praise Qin Yiqiu while she thought about finding a safe spot to draw talismans.
Just then, someone approached from behind. The young man had a handsome face, and though his inner disciple robe was somewhat tattered, it was clear his strength was not weak.
Otherwise, he would have ended up like those weaker disciples with broken arms and legs.
“Junior Sister Luo, the way you used the paper crane to deploy the talismans earlier was truly heroic.”
“Especially the ice-sealing talismans such a large quantity, and the techniques you executed were so elegant. It’s obvious you drew them yourself.”
“I also study talismans, but I’m not as skilled as you, an outer disciple. I’m truly ashamed.”
“I admire you, Junior Sister, and would like to get to know you better.”
The young man’s cheeks flushed slightly, his eyes filled with undisguised admiration.
Being praised like this would make anyone feel bashful, and Luo Yunhuan was no exception. She blushed, never expecting to meet a fellow practitioner.
“Not at all, I’m not that impressive. The ice-sealing talismans were taught to me by Senior Sister. She spent seven or eight whole days instructing me.”
Luo Yunhuan scratched her cheek with a finger, perhaps recalling the joyful times they had shared on the same flying ship. The corners of her lips lifted slightly, carrying a sweetness and rosy glow she herself hadn’t noticed.
“No wonder! I’ve heard that Senior Sister’s lectures are usually quite obscure and hard to follow. If you lose focus for even a moment, like when grinding ink, you might miss the point. I never realized you had such remarkable talent, Junior Sister.”
Yuan Dingshan flattered with a smile.
Were Senior Sister’s lectures really that obscure and hard to understand?
Luo Yunhuan thought back, remembering how Qin Yiqiu had taught her patiently, guiding her hand in hand.
Even when drawing talismans, every turning point, every stroke, every twist of the inscription was explained in great detail. She would explain the origin of the talisman script and how the inscription structured spiritual power.
It wasn’t obscure or hard to understand at all!
It was just that when Senior Sister held her hand, it made her blush and her heart race, distracting her from focusing on learning.
“Is that so? But I think Senior Sister explains things very well. I understood everything perfectly.”
After all, one-on-one tutoring was quite different from teaching a large class.
Qin Yiqiu had just comforted the junior disciples who had gathered around and was about to find Luo Yunhuan to check her pulse again.
She wanted to make sure her junior sister hadn’t suffered any internal injuries.
But then she saw Luo Yunhuan and Yuan Dingshan chatting happily. For some reason, Qin Yiqiu felt a sharp pang in her heart.
The pain wasn’t deep, like the sting of a bee, but it throbbed and pierced her repeatedly.
Her fingers tightened around the hilt of her sword a small gesture she used to suppress her emotions. It seemed she couldn’t bear to see her junior sister standing with someone else, even though it was just a normal social interaction.
“Senior Sister?”
Su Jue noticed that the senior sister wasn’t listening to her and couldn’t help calling out, but there was no response. Qin Yiqiu remained dazed, staring in one direction.
Who on earth could make the senior sister show such an expression? Could it be that damned vixen again?
Su Jue thought this as she followed Qin Yiqiu’s gaze and, sure enough, spotted a radiant face with large, bright almond-shaped eyes that narrowed into a slender, fox-like gaze when she squinted.
It exuded shrewdness and a bewitching charm that could captivate hearts.
It really is her.
Su Jue sighed inwardly. This is bad. The senior sister might struggle to overcome this trial of love.
