- Transmigration! The System Wants Me to Pursue the Abstinent Senior Sister
- Chapter 4 - Bullied, Senior Sister Steps In to Help
However, for several days in a row, Luo Yunhuan did not see Qin Yiqiu again. But that made sense after all, he was the sole prodigy the Yun Jian Mountain Sect was focusing on nurturing.
How could an ordinary person like her expect to see him whenever she wanted?
[Host, if you don’t speed things up, punishment is on its way.]
The system’s irritating voice echoed in her ears, and Luo Yunhuan rolled her eyes.
“All you do is put pressure on me.”
“If you’re so capable, why not give me a hint? Who goes straight for the boss right from the start? Everyone levels up gradually and only takes on the boss once they’ve got a full set of divine gear.”
As an outer sect disciple, her daily life wasn’t exactly easy. She had to handle some sect chores, though most of the dirty and exhausting tasks were left to the labor disciples.
So, Luo Yunhuan only needed to do things like sweeping the steps or weeding the herb fields.
Barely enough to earn a few spirit stones.
Given her poor aptitude, Luo Yunhuan had little motivation to cultivate. She had been wanting to ask the system if there was anything that could improve her spiritual roots.
[Well, considering you’re a beginner, it’s only fair to give you a reasonable hint.]
After hesitating for a moment, the system decided it shouldn’t be too harsh on a newbie. A map appeared before Luo Yunhuan’s eyes, with a red dot marked on it.
“What’s this?”
Luo Yunhuan tapped the red dot, and the map zoomed in.
[The location of your target to conquer.]
Luo Yunhuan raised an eyebrow.
“Didn’t expect you to be somewhat useful, System.”
She knew that even if she went to see Qin Yiqiu, they wouldn’t have much to talk about. So,
Gritting her teeth, a sharp, cunning glint flashed in her eyes.
She remembered that the original owner of this body, due to her reclusive nature, was often bullied. With that in mind, if she could stake out the usual bullies and time it just right especially if the senior sister was nearby,
Then she could have the beautiful senior sister rescue the damsel in distress!
How clever was her little brain?
Luo Yunhuan, being quite attractive, had no shortage of admirers back in her university days. But she wasn’t interested perhaps because her parents had been overly strict during high school.
Even in college, she couldn’t shake off the mindset that she wasn’t allowed to have romantic feelings. So, she kept focusing on her studies, steering clear of love and relationships.
Her only outlet for emotions was reading comics, novels, and watching movies or TV dramas.
And yet, it was precisely this one interest that got her into trouble.
Selected by this damn system.
But since she had resolved to conquer the target and live a little longer, she had to take action. Luo Yunhuan spent another day investigating the areas where the outer sect disciples who often bullied the original owner usually worked.
After studying the senior sister’s usual routes, she finally found a couple of intersecting points. The senior sister might not be extremely close by, but if she made her cries pitiful enough,
She was bound to attract attention.
“Alright, let’s do it.”
Luo Yunhuan finalized her plan in her heart.
A gentle breeze swept through the bamboo grove, rustling the leaves continuously. Moss covered the stone steps, and several outer sect disciples used bamboo brooms to scrape it off, sweeping the debris into piles.
Although they could use spiritual energy to control the brooms or cast minor spells for cleaning, that would be a waste of spiritual power, better saved for nighttime cultivation. So, manual labor was still the way to go for chores.
“I’m exhausted. Why don’t we find someone to take over for us?”
One of them threw down his broom.
“Luo Yunhuan is pretty obedient, isn’t she? Let’s just call her over.”
The other narrowed his eyes, thinking of Luo Yunhuan, whom they bullied every day.
Little did they know that their target was eavesdropping from the shadows, her heart sinking at their words.
It seemed her plan was a good one not only could she avenge the original owner, but she could also permanently deal with these potential bullies within the sect.
The system prompt indicated that the target of her mission was getting closer. Luo Yunhuan mustered her courage. This was the last day; if she couldn’t gain any progress points, she would lose a full three years of her lifespan.
How terrible!
So, she stepped out from the shadows, holding a bundle of clothes in her arms. These were the damaged sect uniforms of the inner disciples, which had been given to the outer disciples for repairs before being returned to the inner disciples’ courtyards.
Luo Yunhuan had been carrying the clothes for a while, lying in wait for the three of them.
Holding the clothes, she caught a faint scent of pine. The outer robes of the inner disciples were perfumed after being mended, and it smelled rather pleasant.
Luo Yunhuan silently thought to herself that one day, she would become an inner disciple too!
She had only taken a few steps when one of them blocked her path with a broom. The person wore a faded outer disciple uniform, his eyes filled with smugness and schadenfreude.
“Well, well, look who decided to show up!”
“Perfect! You can take care of all 9,999 steps of the staircase!”
Three brooms were thrown at her feet. Luo Yunhuan raised her head, a sinister glint in her eyes. The three were startled but refused to believe that someone they had humiliated daily could possibly fight back.
“What? Think you’re something special now?”
“Do you know what’ll happen if you refuse?”
Luo Yunhuan remained silent, then let out a light, almost airy remark from her cherry-pink lips. The original owner might have feared these people, but she did not.
“Step aside. I still need to deliver these clothes to the senior disciples. If they get dirty, you won’t be able to bear the consequences.”
She couldn’t help but think to herself, You fools, I’ve read plenty of palace intrigue novels. Dealing with low-level antagonists like you is a piece of cake!
But her main goal was to provoke them.
“Oh? Looks like you’ve grown some backbone in the past few days.”
“Don’t think just because Senior Sister Qin saved you once, she’ll always be there to rescue you. Let me tell you, someone like her doesn’t even use the stairs.”
Qin Yiqiu rarely even used a flying sword; most of the time, she traveled by riding the wind.
She carried an aura of elegance and aloofness, keeping others at a distance.
People said she was most likely the next successor to the sect leader, so few dared to disturb or offend her.
The man stepped closer, gripping Luo Yunhuan’s wrist so tightly it felt as though her bones might crack. Her body trembled, and her heart felt as if trapped in a tightly drawn fishing net.
This was the original owner’s body reacting with fear.
“The Cloud Sword Sect is a renowned righteous sect. Your actions violate the sect’s rules.”
Luo Yunhuan continued to argue logically, but inwardly, she was counting the seconds, watching the approaching red dot on her system interface. A smile tugged at the corners of her lips.
Along with that smile came the sharp sting of a slap across her face.
“Feeling bold now, are we? You never had the nerve before.”
The man reached out again, but a bamboo leaf sliced across the back of his hand. Blood streamed down like a rushing river, dripping onto the mossy green ground.
“What do you think you’re doing?”
Qin Yiqiu’s voice was icy cold. She stood atop a bamboo tree, her deep blue dress fluttering in the wind like a dancing blue butterfly. Behind her stood over a dozen law enforcement disciples, each holding a sword with a fierce and intimidating aura. They were dragging along several disheveled men and women clearly, they had just returned from a raid on an illicit establishment.
