- Transmigrated into the Zerg Race: Didn't We Agree to Call Off the Engagement?
- Chapter 22 - Desires Fulfilled
“Do you need me to help you?”
By the time Sirius and Victor returned to the banquet hall, the male councilor from earlier had already been taken away. Aside from a slightly peculiar atmosphere, almost nothing seemed amiss.
Sirius acted as if he knew nothing, feigning confusion as he asked a nearby councilor why one person was missing. Clyde quickly pulled him aside and began whispering.
“Ah, I never imagined such a thing could happen. To think he actually harbored those kinds of feelings for the Council President.”
Clyde made a silencing gesture toward Sirius, looking around to ensure no one was watching before whispering, “The Council President is furious. Whatever you do, do not bring it up to him. Just act like you do not know, and do not ask questions.”
“I do not know what he was thinking, actually liking a male. Does he not know that male-male and female-female relationships are cursed?”
Cursed?
Sirius frowned slightly but quickly smoothed his expression, looking at Clyde with curiosity. “What kind of curse? A curse from the Broodmother?”
It seemed that everything, whether encouraged or discouraged, good or bad, was tied to the Broodmother. But was the so-called Creator of all things truly merciful? Was she merciful enough to systematically destroy her own creations? Sirius, however, would not say these words to any other soul.
“Exactly! It is the Broodmother’s curse!” Clyde shuddered. “No one ever said exactly how they are cursed; we just know that in the beginning, two females fell in love, and then word spread that female-female love was cursed. Naturally, that led people to assume the same for male-male love.”
“So, what you are saying is there have not actually been any recorded instances of a male-male curse, right?”
“You could put it that way. It has been passed down for so long that no one knows if they are actually cursed or if the Mainframe just leaked the information to boost birth rates. In any case, it is just considered bad.”
Sirius remained silent, lost in thought. Suddenly, Clyde had a bad premonition. “Why are you asking so much? You have not set your sights on a male, have you?”
“Of course not. How could I?” Sirius replied quickly.
Males could not be together; had he not already made his peace with that decision long ago?
Clyde relaxed and patted his chest. “You scared me to death. I almost thought… I would not even know how to turn you down, seriously.”
Sirius remained silent.
“You are overthinking it. Where is the Council President?”
Clyde pointed to the side.
When Sirius found the Council President, the man was sitting alone, his expression dark. The other guests had witnessed what happened earlier and naturally did not dare approach him.
Sirius was different. Since he had not been present, his approach would not be seen as prying.
“Council President?” Sirius took two glasses of wine from a robot’s tray and handed one to him.
“Ah, Sirius.” The Council President looked up and accepted the wine. “How is progress? Where is Victor?”
“Quite well. We might have another private talk after the banquet ends.”
Hearing this, the Council President finally managed a slight smile. “Forget the banquet. You two can leave directly. I knew I was not wrong about you.”
Leading the Council President to draw his own conclusions, Sirius smiled and accepted the suggestion. Ignoring Clyde’s warning, he naturally asked about the missing councilor’s whereabouts. The Council President’s face darkened instantly, but under Sirius’s feigned look of confusion, he managed to suppress his temper.
“Do not mind him. He is a madman. He is even going around claiming someone used mental power to control him. Heavens, does he think the Broodmother has returned to the world? I think his mental power has simply gone haywire.”
“I suppose he can no longer hold his position as councilor.” The President looked at Sirius. “As for a replacement, I have high hopes for you, Sirius.”
Sirius’s deep blue eyes flickered. He did not act overjoyed; instead, he leaned in slightly and lowered his voice, offering a sincere suggestion.
“Thank you for your trust. However, my seniority is shallow and my experience is lacking. If I were to suddenly take such an important position, I fear it would cause gossip and put you in a difficult spot.”
He paused, observing the President’s expression. “I will do my best to settle things with Victor before the election. This will both prove my capability to meet your expectations and serve the greater good.”
The Council President was instantly satisfied. The look he gave Sirius was now so tender it was likely second only to how he looked at his own son.
Halfway through the banquet, as the Council President began another speech, Sirius and Victor left early.
The President had provided them with a room for their next move. Sirius scanned the area and found no surveillance equipment. Dropping his facade, he sat on the bed and looked at Victor, who stood by the door looking guarded.
“Why are you still afraid of me? You clearly crave me, do you not?”
Victor opened his mouth to argue, but thinking of his strange behavior over the past few days, he could not refute it. At best, he could only try to shift the focus.
“You did not call me here just to mock me, did you?”
“Come here. Sit.”
Victor moved cautiously, choosing a spot on the edge of the bed as far from Sirius as possible. He sat on only the front third of the mattress, his back straight, legs together, and hands on his knees. He was poised as if he would bolt the moment Sirius moved closer.
Sirius placed a hand on his shoulder. Victor pursed his lips but did not react.
Sirius gave a soft laugh at Victor’s transparent behavior. He squeezed the junction of Victor’s neck and shoulder. Victor leaned back, which was not so much a rejection as an instinctive urge to get closer.
“Did you hear about the Council President’s confession incident today?”
He had promised Victor he would get to see a good show.
Victor’s tense face slackened immediately, and he forgot about the hand on his shoulder. “You did that? Your strange mental power!”
Victor immediately connected it to Sirius’s earlier threats. Sirius’s mental power was special; it could manifest in a physical, tangible state. If it could also control other people, it was terrifying.
The military officer trembled, his heart racing. Perhaps due to the excitement, a flush crept onto his face. His hands unconsciously gripped the fabric of his trousers, and his knees pressed together.
“Since you are so powerful, what is it you want me to do for you?”
“Is it not obvious? The Council President wants me to conquer you to satisfy his desire to infiltrate the military. I, on the other hand, want to enter the Council. Victor, we can cooperate.”
“Do I even have a choice?”
“Of course you do.” Sirius’s hand slid down Victor’s shoulder. Everywhere it passed, the muscle bunched and Victor shivered, until Sirius’s hand rested on the bed, applying slight pressure.
“But are you sure you do not need this?”
“This place does not seem quite right. Did someone spill wine on the sheets?”
Sirius leaned in closer. His other hand reached out to tilt Victor’s chin, slowly forcing him to turn his head. “Do you need me to help you?”
An ambitious female sub-race member actually had a unique charm. Perhaps because of his previous experience being tied up, Victor refused to show weakness. He tried to convince himself that he was the one forcing the male, fiercely pinning Sirius down.
Lying on the pillow, Sirius spread his hands above his head in a gesture of surrender. But just as Victor began, Sirius mischievously and proactively reciprocated. The officer’s waist went soft without warning, and he fell into Sirius’s embrace.
“Commander, why have you stopped? Did you pin me down just for a nap? It is nighttime, you know.”
“Shut up!”
Victor was mortified. Sirius gave a helpless expression and obediently silenced himself. However, every time Victor tried to get up, Sirius would repeat the process, forcing Victor to stay until he could regain his composure.
Just as Victor had finally stood up and was about to leave, Sirius suddenly grabbed his thigh. Victor fell back down abruptly, sprawling across Sirius’s shoulder, and bit down hard.
Sirius naturally retaliated, biting back at Victor’s neck. The scent of woodsy vegetation mixed with the metallic tang of blood filled Sirius’s mouth. He bit harder and harder. The wounds stimulated the secretion of adrenaline, and both of them grew increasingly excited.
Gradually, Victor’s grip loosened. His teeth, lingering on the skin, felt more like they were licking the wound. Sirius’s movements shifted as well.
Finally, Sirius bit into the officer’s shoulder. The tense soldier could not help but flex his firm muscles, providing something for the male to grind his teeth against. The atmosphere softened, turning from aggressive to ambiguous.
Eventually, no one knew who started it, but their lips found each other and they began a lingering, deep kiss.
Victor seemed to have fallen in love with the act. After a brief gasp for air, he could not help but lean back in. After several repetitions, Sirius finally dodged, holding Victor’s head and whispering in his ear.
“Why do you keep interrupting me? Are you that desperate to kiss me?”
Being stopped made the officer even more anxious. Having no other choice, he could only nuzzle against Sirius’s ear, frantically kissing his cheek.
“Victor, you have to please me. If you please me, I will give you what you want.”
The irrational soldier was naively cute. With just a few words, he began working for the male. Sirius let out a low groan, permitting the kisses and responding with small movements.
Rarely, Victor was treated with tenderness. He plunged into it headfirst and began to plan for the next time.
A night of peaceful sleep followed.
The next day, Sirius felt refreshed. He opened the door to take the change of clothes provided by a robot and dressed himself neatly before calling Victor.
The officer was indeed exhausted from the night before, moving his hips, swaying, and constantly leaning in to kiss Sirius. Having lacked this kind of exercise, he was still fast asleep.
Their posture was awkward. Because they had both been tired, they had fallen asleep tangled together in whatever position they were in. To separate completely this morning, Sirius had even put in a bit more work.
Sirius leaned down and pinched Victor’s nose.
