Transmigrated into a Classic Dog-Blood Drama as the Scummy Alpha - Chapter 80
Ever since Lu Ningwan painted a little duck beak on her puzzle, Tiantian had grown even more attached to her. Sometimes when she saw Lu Ningwan reading, she wouldn’t disturb her—just quietly sat with a book in front of her while stealing glances every now and then.
Of course, Lu Ningwan noticed the pair of eyes watching her. She looked up and caught Shen Tian staring with eager eyes. With a soft smile, she asked, “Why do you keep staring at me?”
Tiantian giggled as she leaned over the desk and replied in her childish voice, “Because Sister Lu is so pretty~” Her big eyes blinked sweetly.
Her blunt little compliment made Lu Ningwan laugh out loud.
Li Mengmeng, on the other hand, hadn’t been in the best mood lately. Her bestie had been spending all her time glued to Lu Ningwan and had barely played with her at all.
After school that afternoon, when Lu Ningwan was about to leave, Tiantian hurriedly ran over and waved. “See you tomorrow, Sister Lu!”
Lu Ningwan smiled and waved back, “See you tomorrow, Tiantian.” Then she got into the car with her nanny.
Tiantian watched wistfully as Lu Ningwan’s car drove away, reluctant to part. Only then did she remember that she had to go home too. Shen Xian and the others had been waiting for her at the gate—and had just witnessed their daughter almost getting whisked away by another little girl. They couldn’t help but feel a bit sour.
Shen Xian pinched Tiantian’s soft little cheeks and teased with a smile, “You like her that much?”
Tiantian nodded earnestly. “Uh-huh. Sister Lu is so pretty. Tiantian likes her.”
Shen Xian couldn’t help laughing. “So your mama and I aren’t pretty?”
“You are, both of you! But you’re different from Sister Lu~” Tiantian explained seriously in her milky voice, making all the adults around laugh out loud.
After picking up Tiantian, Shen Xian took everyone to a nearby private restaurant and reserved a private room. She ordered a generous spread—it was her small way of celebrating that her father had finally recovered. One of her long-held wishes had come true.
Soon the food arrived, and the family enjoyed a cheerful dinner together. Afterward, Shen Xian dropped her parents back home before returning to their place with Lin Qinghan and Tiantian.
The moment they got home, Tiantian ran to grab her little duck puzzle and handed it to Lin Qinghan. “Mama, put it away for me, please!”
Lin Qinghan smiled. “Sure. Let’s store away the puzzle that Sister Lu drew for you.”
“Okay! Thank you, Mama,” Tiantian chirped.
Around 9 PM, Lin Qinghan and Shen Xian took turns telling Tiantian a bedtime story. It didn’t take long for the little one to drift off to sleep.
Once Tiantian was asleep, both women showered and got ready for bed. When Lin Qinghan stepped out of the bathroom, having just dried her hair, she saw Shen Xian leaning against the headboard, playing on her phone. Seeing Lin Qinghan, Shen Xian smiled and said playfully, “You did promise last night you’d listen to me once we got home.” She winked.
Lin Qinghan’s ears turned red. She walked over and muttered, “Ugh, you’re so annoying. Always teasing me.”
Shen Xian chuckled and pulled her into her arms, planting a kiss on her earlobe. “No teasing! You said it yourself, remember?”
Leaning into Shen Xian’s shoulder, Lin Qinghan poked her cheek. “By the way, how is Tiantian already so good at charming pretty girls? Who taught her that?”
Shen Xian kissed Lin Qinghan on the cheek and laughed. “Our Tiantian is a smart one. Of course she knows a lot. Besides, charming pretty girls is a great skill. Unlike me—I lived two lives before I finally learned how to charm you.”
Lin Qinghan, still sitting in Shen Xian’s lap, playfully traced her finger along her neck. “Oh? Regret only charming me now?”
Shen Xian shook her head instantly. “No way. I only want to charm you.”
“That’s more like it,” Lin Qinghan quipped with a raised brow.
As they spoke, Shen Xian’s hands began wandering. Her lips landed on Lin Qinghan’s cheek, then found her lips. A faint scent of sweet orange slowly enveloped Lin Qinghan. Perhaps they’d done this enough times now—Lin Qinghan was no longer as shy as before. She tilted her head back slightly and returned the kiss.
Soon, the scent of interwoven pheromones filled the room, and the atmosphere began to heat up.
Recently, Lin Qinghan had noticed something odd—Shen Xian always seemed to be sneaking glances at something, guarding it like a little secret. Every time she tried to peek, Shen Xian would brush it off.
Now that Shen Wenkang had recovered, Shen Xian had been in a good mood for days. Although the three of them now lived together, Shen Xian felt something was still missing—a real proposal. After all, the one who had married Lin Qinghan in the past wasn’t truly her. Shen Xian wanted to make it right.
She browsed through countless wedding gown designs online, contacted a designer for a custom dress, and even visited several jewelry stores in secret to find the perfect engagement ring.
That day, she dropped Lin Qinghan off at work before taking Tiantian back home. Tiantian asked curiously, “Mommy, aren’t we going to school today?”
Shen Xian chuckled, “Not today. I need Tiantian’s help, just for one day. Is it okay not to see your Sister Lu today?”
Tiantian nodded, her little hair bun bobbing. “Okay! I’ll help Mommy first~”
“I knew my Tiantian was the best!” Shen Xian praised, smiling.
Back home, Shen Xian began decorating. She had ordered loads of roses and arranged for them to be delivered after 3 PM so they’d stay fresh.
She gave Tiantian some fruit juice and put on a cartoon to keep her entertained, while she herself got to work inflating heart-shaped balloons. As expected, Tiantian’s curiosity quickly kicked in.
“Mommy, I want to play too~” she said in her soft little voice, running over with both hands stretched out.
Shen Xian handed her a balloon and instructed, “Just blow it up a little, not too big, or it might pop.”
Tiantian nodded and tried her best. Once the balloon was barely the size of two fists, she was already puffing and panting, holding it up proudly. “Mommy, look! I blew it up! So tired~”
Shen Xian chuckled and praised, “I see it! You did amazing!” It turned out that even with all her might, Tiantian couldn’t blow the balloon big enough to burst it.
“Mommy, tie it up for me! I want to show Mama later!” Tiantian was eager to show off her handiwork.
Shen Xian laughed and tied off the little balloon, handing it back to her.
“Thank you, Mommy~” Tiantian beamed, hugging her not-so-big balloon while watching Shen Xian continue to inflate more.
“Mommy, why are you blowing up so many balloons?” she asked curiously, eyeing the growing pile.
“To make your Mama happy! Just like how you’re always making your Sister Lu smile,” Shen Xian teased.
Tiantian nodded solemnly. “Oh! Then I’ll help Mommy!”
But Shen Xian didn’t let her blow up more—didn’t want her cheeks to get sore. Before long, the balloons were all done.
Later, the doorbell rang. It was the flower delivery—two bouquets in total: one with 99 roses and another with 9. Shen Xian carried them into Tiantian’s room and hid them away. Tiantian trailed behind, asking, “Mommy, to whom are the flowers for?”
Shen Xian pinched her little cheek and smiled. “They’re for your Mama. The big bouquet is from Mommy, and the smaller one is from you, okay?”
“Okay!” Tiantian’s face was practically hidden behind the 9 roses. Shen Xian couldn’t stop laughing.
After setting the flowers aside, Shen Xian gave Tiantian a final reminder: “Tiantian, this is our surprise for Mama. You can’t tell her ahead of time, okay?”
Tiantian nodded enthusiastically, her little hair bun bouncing. “Okay!”
Shen Xian finished preparing all the ingredients, changed the tablecloth, arranged the balloons in both the living room and the bedroom, and only then did she take Tiantian with her to pick up Lin Qinghan.
Usually, Shen Xian would pick up Lin Qinghan first and then go together to fetch Tiantian. But today, when Lin Qinghan got into the car, she was surprised to see Tiantian already sitting inside.
“Why did you pick up Tiantian first today?” she asked curiously.
“I told the teacher we’d leave a little early,” Shen Xian replied casually.
Lin Qinghan nodded, not thinking much of it. Meanwhile, Tiantian was buzzing with excitement at the thought of making Mama happy, chatting non-stop the entire way home.
As soon as Lin Qinghan stepped inside, she was startled by the sheer number of balloons filling the living room. “Whoa, what’s with all the balloons?”
Shen Xian smiled mysteriously. “You’ll see soon. Let me keep the surprise for a little longer.”
Tiantian nodded solemnly in agreement. Lin Qinghan glanced between the two of them—big and small—and had a hunch they were up to something.
But neither Shen Xian nor Tiantian offered any explanation. Soon, Shen Xian took Tiantian to her room to change. Afterward, she squatted down and whispered, “Tiantian, remember—not to let Mama into your room later, okay? Or the flowers will be found.”
“Okay! I’ll guard the door!” Tiantian patted her little chest with a serious look.
While Shen Xian went into the kitchen to cook, Lin Qinghan followed and leaned on the doorframe, watching Shen Xian unpack a bounty of food—scallops, Australian lobster, steaks…
“What’s the occasion?” Lin Qinghan asked, amused. “Why so much fancy food? And all this mystery?”
Still working on the lobster, Shen Xian grinned. “You’ll know soon.”
Lin Qinghan stepped forward and, seeing that Tiantian was still watching cartoons in the living room, wrapped her arms around Shen Xian from behind. She kissed the corner of Shen Xian’s lips and whispered into her ear, “Tell me already~”
Shen Xian chuckled softly. “Even kisses won’t make me spill it. Just wait a little longer—it’s a surprise for you.”
Seeing she couldn’t get anything out of her, Lin Qinghan gave up and went back to the living room to keep Tiantian company. She figured she’d find out sooner or later anyway.
Shen Xian began preparing the dishes. She mixed a cheese sauce and stuffed it into the cuts she’d made along the back of the lobster to make baked lobster. She sautéed minced garlic and spooned it onto the scallops before steaming them. The steaks were pan-seared fresh.
Before long, everything was ready. Tiantian lit up with delight at the spread. Shen Xian pulled out a bottle of red wine and some grape juice. She poured wine for herself and Lin Qinghan and poured grape juice into a small stemmed glass for Tiantian so it would look just like theirs.
“Mommy, why isn’t mine from the same bottle as yours?” Tiantian asked curiously.
“Because this one is made for little kids. When Tiantian grows up, you can drink from the same bottle as Mama and Mommy,” Shen Xian explained with a smile.
Tiantian pouted for a second, but after a few sips of the sweet grape juice, she cheered right up again.
Shen Xian raised her glass to clink with Lin Qinghan’s, then clinked with Tiantian’s tiny one. She took a sip and said, “Qinghan, Tiantian and I have something to give you.”
With that, she went with Tiantian to fetch the roses. Shen Xian presented the bouquet of 99 roses to Lin Qinghan. “Qinghan, we’ve both been so busy lately. Ever since I came to this world, I realized I’ve never given you roses. These are my first—to someone I truly love. I hope you like them.”
Lin Qinghan smiled as she accepted the bouquet. “Tiantian’s still here. Don’t say things like that.”
Tiantian stepped forward, hugging her own bundle of nine roses. In her soft little voice, she said, “Mama, these are from me! Tiantian loves Mama and Mommy the most~”
Lin Qinghan took the bouquet with a smile and asked teasingly, “So do you love Mama and Mommy more, or your Sister Lu?”
Tiantian held her little hands together, deep in thought, before finally answering, “Tiantian likes Sister Lu too. She’s really nice~”
“You’re only four and already about to get kidnapped by a pretty girl,” Shen Xian laughed, pinching Tiantian’s chubby cheeks.
Then Shen Xian turned to Lin Qinghan, her gaze softening. She reached into her pocket, took out a ring box, and opened it. Walking to Lin Qinghan’s side, she slowly knelt down on one knee and held her hand.
“Qinghan,” she said, “I know we haven’t known each other for very long, but I’m certain—you’re the one. Now that Dad’s healthy, all I want is to be with you. Will you marry me?”
Lin Qinghan hadn’t expected a proposal, let alone a ring. Her eyes brimmed with tears, but her smile was radiant as she nodded.
Shen Xian slipped the ring onto the ring finger of her right hand. Then she pulled Lin Qinghan close with one hand and beckoned Tiantian over with the other, letting her lean on her leg. Covering Tiantian’s eyes, she teased, “Don’t peek.”
Tiantian, confused, protested, “Mommy, I can’t see! Why are you covering my eyes…”
Her little voice kept going, but Shen Xian had already leaned in and kissed Lin Qinghan.
Though their relationship had already been intimate, they were still just girlfriends until now. Shen Xian wanted Lin Qinghan to truly become her “Mrs. Shen.”
After a while, aware that Tiantian was still beside them, Lin Qinghan gently pushed Shen Xian away. Shen Xian smiled and let go, uncovering Tiantian’s eyes.
Tiantian turned her head, still curious. “Mama, Mommy, what were you doing? Why didn’t you let Tiantian see?”
Shen Xian patted her little bun and replied with a grin, “Nothing, Mama just got some dust in her eye. Mommy helped blow it away.”
Tiantian looked doubtful. Something didn’t add up, but she couldn’t figure out what.
Shen Xian scooped her up and set her in her chair. “Alright, let’s eat before it gets cold.”
At the mention of food, Tiantian completely forgot her suspicions. “Okay! Tiantian wants shrimp!”
“I got it. I’ll peel it for you.” Shen Xian knew food was the best distraction. Sure enough, Tiantian’s attention shifted completely. Shen Xian peeled the lobster and scooped cheesy bits into Tiantian’s bowl. The little girl was beaming as she ate.
Shen Xian winked at Lin Qinghan across the table. Lin Qinghan chuckled and gave her a mock glare.
Later that night, after bathing and putting Tiantian to sleep, Lin Qinghan came back to their room to find Shen Xian already sitting on the bed.
She smiled and asked, “What made you decide to propose today?”
Shen Xian stood and pulled her into an embrace. “Actually, I’ve been planning it for a while. I checked the calendar—today’s an auspicious day for weddings. That’s why I chose it.”
Lin Qinghan tilted her head and kissed the side of Shen Xian’s neck. “Since when do you believe in things like that?”
Shen Xian looked down at the woman in her arms and replied, “Well, I did transmigrate here. I just know—I don’t want to ever be apart from you and Tiantian again.”
At the mention of Tiantian, Lin Qinghan lightly pinched Shen Xian’s waist. “You’re one to talk. She was right there, and you still kissed me. So shameless.”
Shen Xian leaned down and kissed her earlobe gently. “It’s fine. She was too busy with her shrimp. She’s already forgotten.”
“You said the same thing last time…” Lin Qinghan began to argue, but whatever she was about to say was quickly swallowed by Shen Xian’s kiss—and soon, she had no time to remember it at all.
