Chapter 55: The Lace Choker
“Yin…” Deisha, sitting in front of a row of academy high-level officials, spoke with a weariness that had long since lost its emotional fluctuation. “How could such a large auditorium… just vanish in the blink of an eye?!” Deisha was on the verge of a heart attack.
Earlier, the Vice-Principal had just rejected Yin Shaoqing’s application for Ladon to skip grades; thus, it was a student from the first-year class she managed who had caused this catastrophe.
However, the culprit sat perched on her familiar’s arm, saying lazily, “The Alf family’s Sacred Bow is simply too powerful. Isn’t it normal for the auditorium to be destroyed?”
An Alf director sitting behind Deisha felt a sudden pang of indignation. Who didn’t know that the auditorium was entirely funded and built by the Vattel royal family? The heir of the Heim family was clearly trying to stir up trouble.
He couldn’t help but interject: “But it was your familiar who attacked Student Nonat without cause, forcing him to use the Sacred Bow in self-defense, wasn’t it?” Even the Tyrant of the Heim family shouldn’t be allowed to distort black and white!
“Tsk…” Yin Shaoqing irritably toyed with Ladon’s collar, attempting to suppress the surge of violent urge to crush these people. “I warned you all not to let the Alf and Vattel family members get too close to me.” The obsidian pupils of the Tyrant gradually glowed with a rich, dark gold light.
The scorching sensation they emitted made Yin Shaoqing want to twist their necks. If Ladon hadn’t acted first today, Yin Shaoqing would surely have broken Nonat’s limbs and fed him alive to the Demonic Shadows. Trash should go where trash belongs, not flutter about before her eyes.
“Host, calm down! The Female Lead hasn’t appeared yet; you can’t kill the Male Lead first!” The Fat Calico Cat was frantic. Ever since its host took over this shell, she had become like a psychopathic killer—wildly unhinged. She wanted to strangle the Male Lead at every turn. But if the Male Lead died, the angst-trope female lead, who is supposed to take the fall for him, would be even harder to find.
“Tsk…” Yin Shaoqing suppressed the urge to slaughter Nonat with disgust. She said, “At least now we can confirm that the Second Princess of the Vattel family isn’t the female lead. She didn’t do anything to stop Ladon from beating that idiot earlier.”
Fat Calico Cat: “…” It was beyond speechless. You, a woman whose eyes were fixed entirely on your familiar, saw absolutely nothing! “If I said she did stop her, would you believe me?” the cat remarked.
Celis had indeed intervened. Fearing that Ladon would violate even more severe academy laws, she had helped Nonat use Light Magic to bind Ladon’s feet.
“Oh~” Yin Shaoqing realized. Her sharp, cold gaze bypassed Deisha and pierced straight toward the Honorary Vice-Principal of the Vattel family. She sneered: “Is this the level of the Vattel family?” The auditorium was poorly built, and the people weren’t educated much better. They certainly knew how to stab people in the back. She was wondering how a waste like Nonat could have left Light Magic brand marks on her familiar’s legs.
“System, blacklist Celis from this day forward,” Yin Shaoqing commanded without hesitation.
“Wait, she’s the most likely candidate for the Female Lead?!” The cat wanted to scratch its brain-dead host awake. “Are you sure you want to blacklist her?!”
“Mm-hm? Why not?” Yin Shaoqing sneered. Having dared to harm her familiar, she was already showing mercy by not using demonic fire to burn her into an idiot on the spot, leaving her to live a miserable life in a stupor.
“You can’t be like this.” The cat was worried; it feared its host was truly becoming a tyrant. She seemed to have zero regard for human life.
“Some people must accept punishment after doing wrong.” Celis had recklessly attempted to subdue the frenzied Ladon out of selfish desire; if she failed, she would still gain a reputation for “kindness.” Meanwhile, Ladon had nearly been pierced through the spine and cast into the abyss.
“If she were an ordinary person, I’d consider her a naive ‘white lotus’. But…” Yin Shaoqing narrowed her eyes, the dark gold light hidden. She smiled as she listened to the Vattel Honorary Vice-Principal’s angry rebuttal.
“The glory of the Vattel family is as eternal as the continent of Narheim! Even as the heir of the Heim family, I will not allow you to insult the Vattel royalty!” The stern older woman wished she could shred this arrogant Heim brat. A little girl whose feathers hadn’t even grown in dared to challenge the Vattel royalty?!
“Then manage your Princess Celis better,” Yin Shaoqing scoffed unceremoniously. “If I catch her making a move against my familiar behind my back one more time, I’ll haul her to the Vattel Royal Exhibition Hall of the academy and let her use a Sacred Artifact there ‘in self-defense’.”
Every word uttered by the lunatics of the Heim family carried a contractual nature; they were as good as their word.
“You!” The poor Honorary Vice-Principal’s face turned purple with rage. But what could she do? Until they no longer needed the heir of the Heim family, they had to endure this Tyrant’s foul temper.
Deisha had already shrunk to the side, not daring to speak. Meanwhile, Nonat was still locked in a solitary confinement room for reflection.
“If there’s nothing else, I’m leaving.” Yin Shaoqing fanned the air with her hand in disgust. “It’s damned hot in here; it really makes one want to release Demonic Shadows to swallow it all.”
The other directors, who were trying to smooth things over, immediately shut their mouths in terror. The countess Demonic Shadows in the abyss, which no one could tame, happened to favor the lunatics of the Heim family. Truly… birds of a feather!
“Hehehe~” Seeing the terror in their eyes, Yin Shaoqing left with a delighted smile. Ah~ the panicked expressions of those people are truly… wonderful~~
After seeing off the Heim lunatic, the Alf director had to huddle with the Vattel Honorary Vice-Principal to discuss how to manage that Tyrant.
“She truly has no upbringing!” The Honorary Vice-Principal’s ornate nails poked the tabletop fiercely. The Alf director, watching those gold-encrusted nails poke the magic-stone table without mercy, felt a bit pained for the gold. The Vattel royalty was indeed wealthy, unlike his Alf elven tribe, who had nothing but the gifts of nature.
“But we have no choice, do we?” The Alf director sighed, forced to admit: “We currently need something from her; we can only swallow our pride for now.”
“Only for this moment,” the Honorary Vice-Principal snorted. Once Princess Celis possesses the true Soul of Light, the Tyrant will be annihilated by the joint forces of the Holy Court and the other two great families. “The lunatics of the Heim family disdain forming groups. When that time comes, who can that little girl rely on?” The Alf director smiled.
Unsociable families will eventually fall; darkness will vanish under the wash of light. This was the future pursued by the righteous elves and the glorious royalty—a bright future under the guidance of the Holy Court.
Caring nothing for what those two loathsome high-level officials thought, Yin Shaoqing focused solely on lecturing her familiar. She had been assigned to Magic Class One. As her familiar, Ladon should have been in the same class. However, since magic classes involved studying incantations for most of the time, and given Ladon’s current state, she couldn’t listen to lectures or understand text at all.
Yin Shaoqing had originally thought she would learn it first and then personally teach her familiar. Then she would have Ladon go to the neighboring Close-Quarters Combat Class One to re-familiarize herself with battle techniques.
But…
“Ladon, you are a half-demon, not a dog!” The bristling lolita struggled and roared in the tall demoness’s arms. This damned, bold familiar actually disobeyed her master and dared to overstep by holding her and not letting go!
As those soft, scorching lips pressed against her neck again and sharp teeth were about to pierce her skin, Yin Shaoqing tilted her head and slammed it hard against Ladon’s high bridge of the nose. Even the most powerful demoness would have to wipe her nosebleed expressionlessly after such a heavy blow.
“Tsk!” Ladon’s nosebleed dripped onto Yin Shaoqing’s clothes. The angry lolita had to stand on tiptoe to cast a healing spell on her familiar.
“Truly a reckless demoness.” The Tyrant healed her half-demon and began a new round of lecturing. “Listen, go to Combat Class One and. STUDY. WELL!” Each word was nearly ground to pieces by Yin Shaoqing.
Then, she pushed the tall half-demon through the door; poor Ladon’s feet dragged two white lines on the ground. Her entire being was resisting being separated from her master.
“Be good. If you learn well, I’ll reward you,” the exquisite little lolita said. She pinched her pink fingertips and gently stroked the black lace choker on that white, fragile neck, flicking open the deep purple gemstone clasp.
The beautiful lolita raised her head slightly, squinting her eyes, her slender fingers lingering over the blood vessels on the side of the neck. Cuteness and sexiness were skillfully melded together; the tall half-demon’s nose started bleeding again.
“Want to bite?” Touching the pulsing vessel, the Tyrant gave a proud command. “Then win against everyone.” When you meet my requirements, I will allow you to show your fangs to me, pierce my skin, and devour my flesh.
No longer paying attention to the half-demon staring intently at her, Yin Shaoqing turned back toward her classroom. But after taking two steps, she suddenly stopped and turned around. Predictably, the faithful familiar’s dark, fire-glazed eyes lit up again.
The cute lolita flicked her right hand, and a black lace wristband was caught and held in Ladon’s hand. The purple gemstone was as beautiful as Ladon’s eyes. The little lunatic blinked adorably: “Don’t lose it, or I’ll cut your hand off~”
Using the cutest tone to say the most vicious words—truly the Tyrant of the Heim family.
The tall half-demon stood there watching her master leave, only roughly wiping her nosebleed after even the silhouette had vanished into the other classroom door. Then, following instinct, she used magic to clean her hands and carefully tied the sweet-smelling lace band around her right wrist.
The Fat Calico Cat, witnessing this: “…” So why couldn’t you use magic to clean your nosebleed?! What kind of ghostly monster did its host contract?!
“Hey, are you going in or not!” The tall woman was blocking the doorway. Her classmate was dissatisfied and tried to shove past her right side.
A burst of manic savagery suddenly erupted in Ladon’s demon eyes. Her left hand grabbed out like lightning, then ruthlessly twisted the right arm of the person who had bumped into her.
“Roar…” A low growl from a predatory beast rolled in her throat. Without a master’s restraint, the monster longed to shred everyone.
