- Chapter 33.3 - Susceptible Period
Moo Easy’s own staff was handling the sampling, while the show’s crew waited nearby.
Once Gu Qing arrived, the crew walked her through the task again and handed her an apron with both the show’s and Moo Easy’s logos. Then, they stepped aside.
“Oh wow, Miss Gu, what a coincidence again! One of my missions is also assisting with Moo Easy’s tasting promotion!” Sun Yingying said cheerfully, feeling like the heavens were smiling on her.
She quickly grabbed an apron and slipped it on.
Qi Siyu unwrapped an apron, bent down, and gently looped the neck strap over Gu Qing’s head. “Can I tie it in the back for you?”
Gu Qing let out a soft “Mm” of agreement.
“Miss Gu has long arms—she can totally handle it,” Sun Yingying said with a flattering smile, not forgetting to angle for a little benefit herself. “Miss Qi, could you help me tie mine too?”
Qi Siyu didn’t even look her way. “Hey, Xiao Zheng—come tie Miss Sun’s apron,” she called to a nearby staffer, then smiled sweetly at Sun Yingying. “Since we’re an AO pair, we should maintain proper distance.
Otherwise, your fans might tear me apart.”
Sun Yingying had no choice but to nod and thank her.
Qi Siyu turned back and noticed Gu Qing was looking at her, eyes calm and unreadable—expressionless, really.
Still, Qi Siyu couldn’t help feeling guilty under that gaze. Technically, she and Gu Qing were also an AO pair, but… not everything could be judged by typical standards.
Cough cough, it was all for Gu Qing’s sake!
She quickly busied herself unwrapping another apron and downed a bottle of yogurt.
People always looked busy when they were awkward.
“This flavor’s actually pretty good,” Qi Siyu commented. “Lemon-strawberry—really refreshing. Want to try?”
Gu Qing shook her head.
Sun Yingying immediately grabbed a bottle and took a sip. “Wow, no wonder Miss Qi likes it! It really is delicious.”
Qi Siyu: …
Why did Sun Yingying seem so off? Was she trying to show off in front of Gu Qing?
Qi Siyu grew instantly wary. She absolutely couldn’t let Sun Yingying steal Gu Qing’s spotlight.
“We’ll leave this side to Miss Sun—Gu Qing and I will take the other side,” she said. Thankfully, there were plenty of yogurt displays and tables for sampling—two on each side.
Sun Yingying stood there, stunned. Wait… is Qi Siyu not into flattery? She mulled over it, but just then, some kids approached for samples, and she had to put on a smile and welcome them.
“There’s so much foot traffic here, we might not have to do much at all,” Qi Siyu said, already handing out samples to her third group.
Gu Qing replied, “They didn’t leave any reviews, though. Doesn’t count.”
Qi Siyu stared at her. “Why didn’t you say that earlier?!”
“I just remembered.”
“…Fine.” Qi Siyu puffed up her cheeks and let out a deep sigh. Her glamorous, fairy-like face still looked beautiful even when making cute expressions.
The livestream comment section blew up with praise. Gu Qing glanced at it and silently agreed—Qi Siyu really was like an enchantress who could steal hearts. Still, her expression remained cool.
From then on, Qi Siyu made sure to hand out review cards to every customer.
Thanks to her good looks and charm, everyone happily left glowing reviews.
Some of Gu Qing’s fans had even shown up just to see her.
Qi Siyu stood back, watching Gu Qing interact with them. Some fans cried from excitement, and even Gu Qing’s eyes grew misty, though she remained gentle and comforting.
Qi Siyu scratched her neck—it was starting to itch—and silently admired Gu Qing and her kindhearted fans.
Gu Qing glanced at her, and Qi Siyu felt like she instantly understood her meaning. Or maybe she was just imagining it.
Regardless, she walked over and joined the fans, promising them that her company would take the best possible care of their idol.
But Gu Qing’s mind drifted back to Qi Siyu’s “March Agreement”—that if she wasn’t satisfied, she could divorce, terminate her contract, and be free.
Qi Siyu had said a lot yesterday, too. Did she think Gu Qing wouldn’t actually leave?
Maybe people born into wealth were just naturally confident.
The fans were sweet and respectful. After taking photos and getting autographs, they left quickly, not wanting to disturb Gu Qing any further.
Two hours later, Qi Siyu counted the review cards: fifty-three. Mission accomplished.
She scratched her neck again. “All done. Let’s head back.”
Gu Qing nodded and removed her apron.
Qi Siyu followed suit, also scratching her neck again.
“Gu Qing, do I look like I got bitten by a mosquito or something? It itches like crazy.”
Gu Qing looked at her reddened neck, already covered in scratch marks and dotted with little bumps.
“To the hospital,” Gu Qing said firmly.
“…Huh?” Qi Siyu blinked, confused.
At the hospital, after her exam, Qi Siyu stared at the report in disbelief. “How am I allergic again?!”
The culprit was clear: a cheap, low-quality apron had triggered a reaction. Apparently, she really was a delicate princess type.
“We should do a skin test to make sure the allergy meds here will work,” Gu Qing reminded her. At their private clinic, doctors tailored medications to Qi Siyu’s unique condition, but public hospitals didn’t have that luxury.
Gu Qing hadn’t expected her to be allergic to low-grade fabrics, either.
“Mm, got it.” Qi Siyu hadn’t even thought of that. Gu Qing was so meticulous and considerate.
When they came out, a thin layer of white cream had been applied to Qi Siyu’s neck.
“I’m fine now. Just have to keep applying it for four or five days. Let’s go eat!” she said cheerfully.
“Okay,” Gu Qing nodded.
On the way back, Qi Siyu kept sneaking glances at her but couldn’t think of anything to say.
Silence stretched between them.
Suddenly, Qi Siyu mumbled, “I really want some chocolate. Red wine chocolate cookie sticks…”
“Why am I always allergic to everything…? Why… why me…?” Her voice trembled with growing frustration.
Warm droplets splashed onto Gu Qing’s shoulder. She looked up in surprise to find Qi Siyu’s eyes brimming with tears, rolling down like pearls.
What on earth…?
The words sensitivity phase flashed through Gu Qing’s mind. Could Qi Siyu actually become a weepy Alpha during hers?
But the timing seemed off…
They’d barely left the hospital when Gu Qing dragged her right back in.
The doctor confirmed her suspicion. “Looks like the allergic reaction affected her glandular skin, triggering an early sensitivity phase. During this time, Alphas may lose their rationality and behave childishly, emotionally, and tearfully. Family members should be especially gentle and supportive.”
Gu Qing let out a long breath. Of all times…
She turned to look at Qi Siyu, who was now squatting beside the wheelchair, one hand on the armrest and the other fidgeting with her clothes.
Sensing Gu Qing’s gaze, Qi Siyu looked up.
Eyes red. Face pitiful.
Gu Qing suddenly felt a headache coming on.
