Transmigrated As The Cannon Fodder Ex-Wife Of A Scumbag Alpha - Chapter 19.2
After applying the patch and confirming his pheromones were well-contained, Zhao Zhiyi cautiously opened the door to peek out.
Almost the instant the door opened, his wrist was caught. Zhao Zhiyi jumped, hurriedly trying to close the door, but Meng Ze said, “I won’t come in.”
Zhao Zhiyi sneered. “Is there any credibility to a man saying he ‘won’t go in’?”
“…I really won’t come in.” Meng Ze’s voice was low. He held Zhao Zhiyi’s thin, fair wrist without much force, his dark eyelashes cast downward. “Without your pheromones, I’m a bit uncomfortable.”
Zhao Zhiyi: “Then go get a suppressor shot.”
Meng Ze looked up, showing him the needle marks on his arm. “I’ve had them. They didn’t work.”
Zhao Zhiyi remembered Dr. Zheng saying that Meng Ze’s rut this time was special and suppressors were useless.
“Then what do you want?” Zhao Zhiyi frowned. “I’m not letting you in.”
If he let Meng Ze in, it would be no different from inviting a wolf into his home.
“Can you give me an item of your clothing?” Meng Ze asked.
“Clothing?” Zhao Zhiyi hesitated for a moment. “Clothing is fine. Wait a second.”
He closed the door, grabbed the overcoat he had worn when going out, and shoved it into Meng Ze’s arms. “Now can you go back to sleep?”
Meng Ze lowered his head and buried his face in the coat to sniff it. Zhao Zhiyi’s ears burned, he turned his head away awkwardly. If anyone else did this, Zhao Zhiyi would definitely call them creepy, but when Meng Ze did it, why did it look so erotic?
“The scent is too faint,” Meng Ze said seriously. “Can I have another one?”
Zhao Zhiyi was furious. “You’re actually being picky? If the coat’s scent is too faint, do you want me to take off my underwear for you?”
“Can I?”
Realizing the shocking words he had just uttered, Zhao Zhiyi covered his face with a palm.
He must have been affected by the pheromones too. His mind was a mess, and he had no idea what he was doing.
“No, you cannot,” Zhao Zhiyi said coldly.
Meng Ze seemed a bit disappointed. “I see.”
Zhao Zhiyi pulled at the pajamas he was wearing. He had just put them on after a shower, so the scent would definitely be even fainter. Feeling frustrated: “I don’t have any other clothes for you. Can’t you just make do?”
Meng Ze said softly, “Can you let me have a bite?”
Zhao Zhiyi clutched his neck in horror.
He knew this Alpha had ulterior motives!
Zhao Zhiyi immediately tried to close the door, but Meng Ze changed his previously weak stance and used his arm to block the door. His eyes were dark, like the sea before a storm, carrying an unpredictable danger.
“I’m very uncomfortable,” Meng Ze said. “If you let me have a bite, I should be able to get a good night’s sleep tonight.”
Zhao Zhiyi roared, “In your dreams! You almost bit off my gland last night, and you want another bite today?”
Meng Ze placed something into Zhao Zhiyi’s hand. Zhao Zhiyi’s first instinct was to throw it away, but Meng Ze firmly held his hand. “One bite, 500,000.”
“…What?”
Zhao Zhiyi saw clearly. What Meng Ze had placed in his hand was a filled out check.
Ones, tens, hundreds, thousands… After counting how many zeros were in 500,000 in his head, Zhao Zhiyi felt shamefully tempted.
“As long as you agree, this 500,000 is yours,” Meng Ze whispered in Zhao’s ear.
Zhao Zhiyi looked up. “This is extra money, it won’t affect my fixed salary, right?”
“Of course not.”
Zhao Zhiyi hesitated for a moment while holding the check. “Just one bite. After that, you go back to sleep.”
“Okay.”
Zhao Zhiyi weighed his options and felt that Meng Ze looked fairly normal right now, no extreme behavior, no violent tendencies, and he even knew how to bribe him. It should be fine.
He turned his head to reveal his fair nape, which still smelled of body wash. His long fingers fumbled to peel back half of the suppressor patch, exposing the still swollen, pitiful gland. He didn’t realize that in his current state, this action was like offering himself up as a sacrifice. He even urged, “Hurry up, let’s get it over with.”
Meng Ze’s breath hitched for a moment, and the veins on the back of his hand bulged.
He stared intently at the tiny gland on the back of Zhao Zhiyi’s neck. Previously, it only showed a faint pink from the blood, but because it had been tormented in every way last night, even after all this time, it was still swollen. Messy teeth marks were all over it, turning it a vivid crimson as if it would bleed at the slightest touch.
Meng Ze wrapped an arm around Zhao’s waist. Zhao Zhiyi shuddered and grabbed Meng Ze’s hair. “I allowed you to bite my neck, not hug me!”
“Sorry.” Meng Ze let go, leaned in, and slowly nuzzled that patch of skin with his nose. Zhao Zhiyi grabbed his shoulders, his body trembling involuntarily.
He turned his head away, biting his knuckle, his eyelashes fluttering. His voice was muffled: “Stop nuzzling. Hurry up.”
Meng Ze pressed a kiss onto it. A soft moan escaped Zhao Zhiyi’s throat, and his legs instantly went weak. He had to cling to Meng Ze’s shoulders to keep from falling. “How can it… so strange.”
He pursed his lips and scolded, “I didn’t give you permission to kiss it either!”
Meng Ze said, “Are you sure you don’t want me to hold you? You might fall.”
“I don’t… mmph!”
Zhao Zhiyi’s eyes suddenly widened. That indescribable piercing pain returned to the back of his neck. He panted heavily, his legs giving out as he fell toward the floor. Meng Ze exerted force on his legs and picked him up, pinning Zhao Zhiyi against the wall with his legs wrapped helplessly around Meng Ze’s waist. He tilted his head back in agony, wanting to flee, but Meng Ze gripped the lower half of his face, forcing him to turn his head and expose the gland even more thoroughly.
The orange blossom scent that had just been calmed by the patch scattered. The Alpha injected a large amount of pheromones into the Omega’s gland. Zhao Zhiyi didn’t even realize he was crying out loud.
“Don’t bite yourself.” Meng Ze moved Zhao’s fingers away from his lips and replaced them with his own finger. “Bite me.”
Zhao Zhiyi said indistinctly, “We agreed… only… one bite!”
“Mm.” Meng Ze took a deep breath at his neck, no longer maintaining his feigned calm, his eyes heavily bloodshot. “I’ll add more money. One more bite.”
Zhao Zhiyi felt he couldn’t earn this money; if he took another bite, he would surely die. He pushed Meng Ze’s face away, gasping, “Just once!”
Meng Ze was silent for a while before saying, “Fine.”
“What?”
“If you’re unwilling, I won’t force you, of course.” Meng Ze let go of Zhao Zhiyi. “Can you stand?”
Zhao Zhiyi stubbornly leaned against the wall. “Of course I can.”
He wiped away his tears and slowly shuffled back into the room. “Fine. Hurry back. I’m going to sleep.”
Before Meng Ze could say another word, the bedroom door slammed shut and was locked from the inside.
Meng Ze stood by the door. The light in the hallway cast a long shadow, looking inexplicably eerie and sinister.
He stood silently, listening to the cursing inside, then the sound of someone counting zeros, followed by muffled sobbing.
The sobbing didn’t last long because Zhao Zhiyi, lacking stamina, soon tucked the check under his pillow and fell asleep, completely unaware that someone was standing silently at the door.
A strong wind picked up outside, making the branches rustle loudly. It seemed another heavy rain was coming. Once the entire house had sunk into darkness, Meng Ze slowly took a key from his pocket, inserted it into the lock, and turned it slightly.
His prey was still too naive. In his own nest, he naturally possessed the key to every single room.
The lock clicked. Meng Ze pressed the handle and pushed the door open, slowly walking in as if he were the rightful master of the space.
