- Chapter 11 - Where Does the Ribbon Go? The Upper Thigh.
“Take off your clothes.”
Bai Rui’s voice was crisp, his command brief and clear.
A-wu looked at Bai Rui and tilted his head, his neck making a soft sound as his muscles and bones shifted.
In front of the crystal ball, both the dragon and the cat froze, not daring to breathe as they watched the scene unfold.
Clearly, A-wu didn’t understand why Bai Rui was doing this. He narrowed his eyes, his gaze dragging from Bai Rui’s face all the way down to the hand gripping his collar.
That hand was slender and white, appearing well-maintained and untouched by manual labor. The nails were neatly trimmed, the crescents thin and pale. It was a beautiful hand, but its actions were entirely inconsistent with that delicate first impression.
Bai Rui tugged at A-wu’s clothes, the wet fabric was still soaked with water stains.
Looking down with his chin slightly raised, Bai Rui pulled again with force, directly tearing open another section of A-wu’s precarious collar.
With this, A-wu’s sturdy upper arm was revealed. The lines of his shoulders and back showed clear muscular definition, not an overly bulky physique, but lean, powerful, and toned. Hidden while clothed, the uncovered muscle was as beautiful as a marble statue meticulously carved by a master craftsman in a temple.
With his clothes hanging loosely over the crook of his arm, A-wu gave a nearly imperceptible brow twitch before lifting his eyelids to look at Bai Rui.
“Noble Highness, what are you doing?”
“I once thought you were a true gentleman. What is this? Is the price of rescuing me for me to give up my body?”
Bai Rui stared at him, pausing for a long moment without speaking.
Under the dim night sky in the pitch-black forest, it was already quiet, but now the silence felt excessively heavy.
Finally, Bai Rui spoke: “Do you want the price to be your body?”
As he spoke, the gland at the back of Bai Rui’s neck throbbed abruptly, startling him. His fingers trembled slightly, and he let go of A-wu as if discarding something.
“Even if you wanted to give it, I might not necessarily want it.”
His bright eyes were naturally filled with a watery tenderness, yet he spoke heartless words in a forcedly stiff and cold voice: “I just think you’ll get sick like this. If you can’t walk anymore, you’ll be left to fend for yourself.”
A-wu paused for a second. Following the momentum of Bai Rui dropping his collar, he slumped “weakly” back against the tree roots. His dark hair fell over his cold, pale shoulders, and his body trembled slightly from pain as he gasped for breath, followed by a long string of coughing.
“Cough, cough… cough…”
Anyone seeing this would sigh: How pitiful.
“Good grief, since when did His Majesty become so frail? Is he actually hurt?”
“Heh, it’s just top-tier ‘Green Tea’ acting skills.”
The audience in front of the crystal ball had already positioned it perfectly and started leaning back in their lounge chairs, eating snacks while watching the “movie.”
A-wu coughed until his face flushed red, and the veins on his neck surfaced beneath his skin: “Highness…”
Before he could finish, two dark bundles were tossed in front of him.
Looking closely, they were two sets of clothes.
“I found a bundle by the water just now. It contained two outfits, a dress and a cloak. Pick one. We both need to change, otherwise, we’ll freeze to death in this cold forest.”
As Bai Rui spoke, he snapped shut the metal lid of his universal spatial pocket watch.
Though his words were cold and heartless, judged by his actions rather than his intent, this was a rare act of kindness in this world.
“A dress?”
A-wu raised an eyebrow slightly.
On the ground lay two items. One was a peacock-blue velvet ballgown with thick fox fur trim, the waist looked quite narrow. The other, if you could even call it an outfit, was a wide cloak with tattered, frayed edges, looking quite pathetic when placed next to the dress.
“Someone must have dropped this bundle while leaving on a small boat along the underground river…”
Bai Rui’s body swayed slightly. He grabbed a nearby tree to steady himself.
His vision blurred for a moment before snapping back into focus. A sudden, inexplicable wave of dizziness hit him. Bai Rui shook his head, struggling to stay conscious.
“I might have caught a cold from the water,” he felt his forehead, suspecting a low-grade fever. Without hesitation, he grabbed the smaller sized female garment and turned away. “I’m going to change. You’re too tall, you should wear the cloak.”
Truth be told, he didn’t mind wearing a dress, but as an artist with aesthetic standards, he couldn’t stand the thought of A-wu’s tall, lithe frame being stuffed into a ballgown. The mere thought made him shake his head.
So, Bai Rui chose the dress for himself.
He turned his back and walked behind two large trees, trying to get some distance to avoid embarrassment.
However, having been a “straight man” for nineteen years, Bai Rui didn’t realize that the “old” him would have changed right in front of A-wu, after all, he’d used communal showers back at school. But that was back when he was a Beta. In a school with only a few dozen Alphas and Omegas, they had separate bathing areas.
But being with A-wu felt… somehow, undressing directly felt wrong.
Behind the tree.
Bai Rui undid his corset and the metal buttons, taking off his soaking wet coat and folding it neatly.
His white shirt was already damp with a faint sweat, the fragrant perspiration gathered on the fabric into a pleasant, warm scent.
It seemed Bai Rui’s sweat had always carried a light fragrance. After transmigrating to this world and becoming an Omega with a damaged gland, essentially a mutation without reproductive capacity or pheromones, this scent seemed even more pronounced.
He unbuttoned his white shirt, and the cool air immediately rushed in. The clothes hadn’t dried since the fall into the pool, now, the wind made him feel even colder.
Just as Bai Rui pulled off his shirt, his body couldn’t help but shiver.
His thin waist, pale shoulders, and the beautiful alignment of muscle and bone on his back were clearly revealed.
There were two dimples on his lower back, making his slender waist look even more soft and resilient.
The tree branches offered only slight cover, he could still be seen.
Leaning against the tree roots, A-wu narrowed his eyes.
That stunning scene, illuminated by the dim moonlight, was entirely captured in his gaze.
How could a person’s waist be so thin? How could their skin look so radiant?
For no reason, A-wu felt a sudden thirst.
His Adam’s apple bobbed as he swallowed dryly, yet his throat only felt more parched.
Bai Rui’s pale skin was lit by the cold white moonlight, outlining him in a hazy, beautiful glow, as if he were covered by a filter.
With one hand holding his translucent, wet shirt and the other clutching the metal pocket watch, he seemed to be thinking. His head bowed slightly, lengthening the lines of his slender white neck, the silhouettes of a few vertebrae protruded beneath the thin skin of his nape.
Lean and pale, with a very thin waist, beneath the waistband of his trousers, the curves of his body were graceful.
It gave one the illusion that he might break with a single squeeze.
Not bad. An exalted prince, willing to lower himself to wear commoner’s clothes.
And a dress, at that. Such a big sacrifice.
A-wu’s eyes grew darker, a burning undercurrent rising in his pupils.
At that moment, Bai Rui reached for his waistband and undid the button. The fabric hung loosely around his hips, with more form-fitting fabric underneath…
A-wu looked up at the pitch-black sky. His gaze lacked focus, but his eyes darkened with a hint of a warning.
The Black Dragon and the Black Cat simultaneously reached out to cover the crystal ball, glaring at each other as they spoke in unison: “He’s angry! No looking!”
“I wasn’t looking!”
“You wanted to!”
“But I didn’t!”
“You can’t lie to me, you were definitely going to peek!”
“I’ll count to three, and we let go together!”
“Three!”
The dragon’s hand and the cat’s paw released at the same time.
Suddenly, the purple velvet cloth with gold tassels draped itself over the crystal ball, covering it securely.
“See? I told you to let go earlier. Now he’s mad.”
“He’s mad at you. His Majesty won’t let you off easy.”
“Heh, I’m His Majesty’s cat. I can teleport to his side instantly. You’d better beg me not to tell him about your stupid behavior.”
“Then teleport! Go right now! Why don’t you see if you need to change into a dress too? Haha…”
At that moment, a voice came from beneath the velvet covered crystal ball.
“Why haven’t you changed yet? Fine, your hands are inconvenient. I’ll help you.”
“Take off your pants, too.”
“Oh my god!”
“Wait, the pants…” The Black Dragon covered its mouth again, knocking over a plate of dried fish: “Pants! The pants! Are the pants coming off too?”
“Lift the cloth! I want to see the Prince ‘assault’ the Emperor and pull his pants down!!”
“Don’t say I can’t lift it, if I could, would you even dare to look?!”
“Forget it,” the Dragon gave up. “If it’s the Emperor… I don’t dare.”
“These two… they’re quite something.”
The Black Cat sneered.
“Heh, they’re practically engaged to be married, and yet they’re still acting. Who knows how long this play will go on.”
Meanwhile.
In the dim forest, surrounded by darkness, fireflies occasionally flew through the grass, lighting up small patches of space.
A-wu and Bai Rui stood in a standoff.
Bai Rui had already put on the white chemise but hadn’t put on the outer dress yet. With every movement, there was a risk of exposing more than intended.
“Highness, are you really going to take off my… pants?”
As A-wu spoke, he truly gave up any resistance, leaning back against the tree roots and spreading his legs casually, looking like he was at Bai Rui’s mercy.
Unfortunately, the thin fabric of his trousers, once wet, clung to his body, highlighting a very… impressive silhouette.
Bai Rui suddenly remembered that on the “Wall of Wands” back at the castle, he hadn’t seen anything quite so… grand.
But then he thought, A-wu was a captured slave, so he wasn’t officially registered in the castle. Therefore, there probably wasn’t a “wand” dedicated to him in that phallic worship collection.
Lost in thought for a second, Bai Rui held the collar of his dress to ensure he didn’t reveal too much skin, then looked up at A-wu.
“Actually, I’d rather fix your hands, because I need a servant to help me dress.”
Bai Rui couldn’t help but blush: “I don’t know how to wear a dress… it looks very complicated.”
Western style dresses were made of several stiff pieces of fabric. For a modern Easterner, never mind wearing it, just figuring out where the pieces went was a challenge.
As he spoke, the hem of the chemise fluttered in the wind, revealing Bai Rui’s long, pale legs.
He was halfway into a pair of sheer stockings, his delicate white skin shimmered before A-wu’s eyes. The tall, sharp nosed man caught a whiff of that faint, lingering fragrance again.
Once again, he couldn’t control himself and swallowed hard, his voice raspy: “Highness, I am happy to be of service.”
Bai Rui intentionally pulled the skirt over to cover himself: “By the way, there’s a lace ribbon… where is it supposed to be tied?”
A-wu’s gaze was deep: “The upper thigh.”
