Training the Villain to Become a Big Sister Obsessed - Chapter 76
The team led by Elder Xue and Elder Yu encountered attacks from Sea Fiends and the Liu family upon arriving at Qingmu City. The juniors suffered some injuries and, although they rested, they hadn’t fully recovered.
The two Elders were discussing whether to return to the academy.
“It’s not appropriate. If we split up and the Sea Fiends and Liu family return, what will you do?” Elder Yu frowned, disagreeing with Elder Xue’s suggestion.
Elder Xue’s gaze fell upon the two unconscious people on the bed: “Then what about them…”
Their place of rest was a private residence in the city. Lord Lanshan and Cangwu were arranged in a room in the backyard, and Elder Yu was using spiritual energy to nourish their bodies.
“Cangwu has the Dragon Scale protecting her body; the injury to her heart is not critical, but the regeneration of the flesh in her palm will take more time.” Elder Yu’s tone shifted. “Lanshan… the Puppet Threads in her body are too deeply rooted. Attempting to forcefully remove them may be counterproductive.”
“Yu Qing, the Headmaster values this child highly.”
The implication of this statement was that they had to protect her no matter what.
Elder Yu nodded: “I will find a way.”
The two exchanged glances and walked out of the room. Elder Yu reminded: “The longer the Puppet Threads remain, the greater the danger. You must find Feng Sheng or the Feng family members as soon as possible.”
The art of puppetry was strange and mysterious, and the Feng family had established rigid rules never to pass it on.
“I understand.” Elder Xue nodded, calling Xiao Jiu, Lingguang, and a few others to join her in the search.
Finding the Feng family was not easy, but Feng Sheng still carried the imprint of Qingyun Academy, making her much easier to locate.
Elder Yu stroked her chest, feeling a faint unease. She looked up, just missing the last sliver of sunlight on the horizon.
The sky began to darken—
“Who are you?
Cangwu dangerously narrowed her eyes, looking at the person who looked exactly like her. Although the features were the same, the person exuded an ominous black mist, her eyes were narrow, deep-green vertical lines, and even her hair, which reached her heels, was a deep, dark blue-green. Her face was full of contempt and ridicule.
And her horns—the horns on her forehead were longer than Cangwu’s palm.
“Cangwu.” The woman’s voice was frigid and devoid of warmth. The corners of her lips curled into a tiny arc, and she half-closed her eyes, looking down at the little Azure Dragon, who was slightly shorter than herself.
“You may also call me, the Spirit King.”
“Spirit King,” Cangwu whispered the unfamiliar title, asking with confusion and displeasure: “Why do you look the same as me?”
The Spirit King also seemed confused: “Why are you so foolish?”
Suddenly being insulted, Cangwu wanted to strike her.
The Spirit King saw her intention and casually said: “You cannot touch me, nor can you hit me.”
Cangwu didn’t believe it. She swung her fist at the woman’s face. The fist passed directly through the woman’s body, causing Cangwu to stumble.
She really couldn’t hit her.
The Spirit King smiled coldly, scrutinizing Cangwu from head to toe.
She had expected this version of Cangwu to angrily try to hit her a few more times, but she stopped just like that, even asking calmly: “Are you from the Azure Dragon Palace?”
Such a guess was indeed reasonable. She had not concealed her identity as an Azure Dragon, so Cangwu would naturally suspect this.
“No.”
The Spirit King spread her arms, raising her head in a posture that lorded over all creation: “I am the absolute sovereign of these Four Seas.”
Cangwu looked at her in silence for a moment…
“Lunatic.”
Spirit King: “…”
“You!” The Spirit King pointed her finger at Cangwu’s nose, her hand trembling slightly. Then, she seemed to recall something, and her expression suddenly softened.
“To insult me is to insult yourself.”
Cangwu seized on her words, frowning: “What do you mean?”
The Spirit King was surprised: “Did I not just tell you my name, Cangwu?”
Cangwu’s face darkened. Even though she couldn’t hit the person, she still swung a slap at her.
“You are not allowed to use that name!”
The wind of the slap swept past the Spirit King’s face, igniting her internal rage.
“I must teach you a lesson today!”
“I’m scared of you!” Cangwu glared back.
The two wrestled without being able to touch each other.
After a hundred rounds, the Spirit King suddenly remembered her current status and ended the fight with a cold face.
“Childish!”
Cangwu snorted, looking around at the surrounding world of nothingness, boundless and infinite.
“Let me out.”
The Spirit King sat cross-legged in a meditative posture. Her long hair spread out behind her, showing traces of water ripples, like a beautiful fish tail swaying.
“This place is a space opened by the Map of Chaos. You cannot leave just because you wish to.”
“Map of Chaos?” That was another term Cangwu hadn’t heard before.
The Spirit King let out a soft “Oh,” and said faintly: “The East Lord did not give you the Map of Chaos this time. It is on the person named Lord Lanshan.”
Hearing her Senior Sister’s name, Cangwu instinctively looked over: “Do you know my Senior Sister?”
“Senior Sister?” A chilling light sliced across the Spirit King’s eyes. “What an intimate address.”
“Don’t say I didn’t warn you. She is the one who will kill you.”
“Nonsense!” Cangwu refuted without hesitation.
The Spirit King didn’t want to argue. She waved her hand, summoning a shred of her past memories for Cangwu to see.
Cangwu only thought the Spirit King’s features and appearance were extremely similar to her own, but her temperament and posture were completely different. However, in the memory displayed before her, the person looked exactly like Cangwu’s present appearance.
“This is me,” the Spirit King pointed. Then her finger shifted to another person: “This is Lan Yan, who is the Senior Sister Lord Lanshan you speak of.”
In the memory, Lan Yan deliberately lured the uncultivated Cangwu to the borders of Yang Valley, claiming she wanted to train her, but actually intending for them to die by the Sea Fiends. It was Xie Qingshuang who arrived in time to stop her.
The scene shifted again. Lan Yan replaced the medicine for Cangwu’s injuries, causing her wound to fester for half a month.
It shifted once more. During the encounter with the Sea Fiends in the Sleepless City, Lan Yan used sorcery to seal Cangwu’s spiritual energy and tossed her near the Sea Fiends’ teleportation array.
The memories flashed quickly, and the surrounding black mist grew denser.
“This is not my Senior Sister.” Cangwu seemed to understand something, but she hadn’t experienced those events, and her Senior Sister wasn’t that kind of person.
“My Senior Sister is Lord Lanshan, not the Lan Yan you speak of.”
The Spirit King tugged at the corner of her lips, her gaze icy and bone-chilling: “Only a change of name. Do you truly believe she is sincere towards you?”
“In this world, the only person you can trust is yourself.”
“That is you, not me.” Cangwu looked directly at her. “I have my Senior Sister. You do not, which is why you don’t trust others.”
“Senior Sister?” The Spirit King thought of a certain person, and the black mist around her intensified.
“Incorrigible!”
The angry, low shout echoed in her ears. Cangwu suddenly opened her eyes.
She blinked. Her peripheral vision caught the sight of the plain curtain.
She was in bed?
A faint breathing sound came from beside her. Cangwu’s body stiffened abruptly. Then, after inhaling the familiar delicate fragrance, her alertness began to turn into slight nervousness and joy.
She slowly turned her head, her gaze resting on the woman’s smooth profile.
The woman’s face was still somewhat pale, her brow slightly furrowed as she slept restlessly. Her pursed lower lip carried a spot of blood, where a deep tooth mark could be seen.
「What are you trying to do?」
The Spirit King’s voice suddenly sounded.
Cangwu’s raised hand paused, then she disregarded the voice in her mind and gently stroked the woman’s cheek. Her fingertip brushed over the wound on the woman’s lip, cautiously and tenderly.
Dots of spiritual energy leaked out, slowly dissolving into Lord Lanshan’s body.
Cangwu naturally did not want to wake her Senior Sister, yet she hadn’t expected the input of even a tiny bit of spiritual energy to instantly provoke a painful moan from the woman. Blood began to seep outward from all visible skin on her face and neck.
“Senior Sister!” Cangwu immediately withdrew her spiritual energy, looking at her anxiously.
The pain forced Lord Lanshan’s eyes open. She blindly reached out and grabbed whatever was nearby, gripping it tightly.
Through her haze, she saw a familiar figure.
“…Cangwu.”
Cangwu tightly held her hand. Her frantic gaze suddenly shrank when she saw a thread flash across the woman’s eyes.
She then saw that the thread-like substance was densely networked beneath the woman’s skin, seemingly rooted in every one of her meridians.
「Those are the Puppet Threads.」 The Spirit King spoke.
Cangwu immediately asked: “How do I remove them?”
「You want to save her?」 The Spirit King sounded displeased.
“Of course!” Cangwu looked at her Senior Sister’s suffering, frantic with worry. “Tell me quickly!”
「Is that how you ask for a favor?」 The Spirit King saw her urgency and was deliberately nonchalant.
Cangwu gritted her teeth: “What do you want?”
「I don’t want anything from you. I will not tell you how to save her. I want her dead.」 The Spirit King let out a wicked laugh.
Cangwu took two deep breaths, lowering her head—
「Wait! Wait!! What are you going to do!?」 The Spirit King’s voice was filled with disbelief and panic.
「Are you going to kiss her!? How dare you kiss her!?」
Cangwu maintained the action of lowering her head. Hearing the Spirit King’s almost hysterical tone, she slowly moved downward.
Just as she was about to kiss her, the Spirit King couldn’t bear it any longer—
「Dragon’s Breath! Dragon’s Breath can dissolve the Puppet Threads. Her condition is severe, so you cannot use spiritual energy to circulate through the meridians. You must use your Divine Consciousness carrying the Dragon’s Breath to enter her.」
“Got it.”
Cangwu acknowledged this, lowered her head, and made contact with the woman’s lips, carefully avoiding the wound.
「I—!」 The Spirit King nearly choked.
Cangwu began to calm her mind, slowly separating her Divine Consciousness. It entered through their touching lips and deeply navigated the meridians.
The hundreds and thousands of Puppet Threads were complex and intertwined. A single mistake could lead to dissolving the wrong thing.
Cangwu, however, was extremely patient within this complexity. She dissolved the threads little by little, feeling the tormented soul settle down once the Puppet Threads diminished.
Following the meridians to the heart, Cangwu saw a Dragon Scale firmly protecting the beating heart; the Puppet Threads had not advanced an inch.
After dissolving all the Puppet Threads, Cangwu finally realized the extent of the depletion of the woman’s spiritual energy; it was almost dry.
Her Divine Consciousness returned, but Cangwu did not move away. Maintaining the posture of lips pressed against lips, she slowly transmitted spiritual energy, drop by drop.
「Cangwu! How dare you!?」 The Spirit King was still furious.
Cangwu ignored her until she felt the woman’s breathing was no longer so weak, then she finally pulled away, satisfied.
“Why are you so agitated? You’re not the one who kissed her.”
「You are me, and I am you! What difference does it make!」 She was so angry she no longer used the formal ‘I’.
Cangwu disliked that statement. She cold-faced: “There is a difference, of course. You are not me, and I will never become you.”
「The Map of Chaos has been opened. You cannot change this.」
The Spirit King laughed softly: 「You will eventually become me.」
“Squeak—”
The room door opened. Cangwu looked up.
Xie Qingshuang entered against the light, her shadow stretched long across the floor.
「…Senior Sister.」
