- Chapter 67 - The Difference Between Being Full and Truly Satisfied
The birthday party lasted from the afternoon into the evening. As the guests left, the moonlight spread across the grounds.
Xia Mingtang stood at the villa’s entrance, bidding farewell to her friends.
She had had some cocktails, her cheeks flushed with a rosy hue, and her speech slightly slurred.
“All right, all right, you can stop here. Go back quickly.” Shi Shi waved at Xia Mingtang from the car.
Xia Mingtang glanced at Qin Yan standing nearby, intending to ask her to watch over her somewhat unpredictable friend.
But she quickly reconsidered, recalling everything she had seen earlier, and decided such a request was unnecessary.
Shi Shi was the last guest to leave Xijing Villa. As the Aston Martin gradually disappeared into the distance, the entire villa returned to silence, broken only by occasional clinks as the servants tidied up.
Xia Mingtang lingered at the villa’s entrance for a while, slowly adjusting to the emptiness left behind by the departed crowd.
The night breeze brushed against her slightly drunken face, bringing a hint of chill.
“Ah-choo!” Xia Mingtang sneezed.
“Let’s go back.”
Qin Yan draped her warm coat over Xia Mingtang’s shoulders. Looking up, Xia Mingtang met her tender and doting gaze.
She looked more human, more approachable than usual.
Today, Qin Yan had treated her exceptionally well—inviting all the friends she cared about, hosting meticulously, giving her both freedom and value, and even showing off a stunning performance.
This version of Boss Qin was undeniably captivating.
“Mm.” Drunk Xia Mingtang wasn’t on guard as usual.
She let out a sticky, soft hum and swayed, leaning on Qin Yan’s shoulder, speaking half in flirtation, half in mischief.
“I can’t walk… carry me.”
The moonlight brushed over her delicate little face, softening her originally sharp features into something endearing.
Qin Yan looked at this innocent, enticing little fox and felt her heart melt.
“All right.”
She half-squatted, letting the little fox climb onto her back.
The soft body pressed against her, making her heart itch in delight.
The distance from the villa’s entrance to the main hall wasn’t far, but Qin Yan deliberately walked slowly.
Each step was steady, the only movement a slight rise and fall from her stride.
Xia Mingtang rested her chin on Qin Yan’s shoulder, the rhythm of her steps lulling her into drowsiness.
Xia Mingtang had never had a strong tolerance for alcohol. Even after just one cocktail from a friend, her mind was fuzzy yet unable to fully fall asleep.
She leaned close to Qin Yan’s ear, her breath carrying the scent of alcohol, and whispered, “Qin~ Yan~.”
“Mm.” Qin Yan held her steady, waiting for further instructions from the little fox.
“You… were really good today.”
Beautiful, gentle, an excellent pianist, and articulate—everyone praised her.
Xia Mingtang struggled to articulate all her thoughts, finally letting out just two words:
“Really good.”
Qin Yan turned her head, looking at the innocent, defenseless little fox, and, moved, kissed her lips.
“I’m that good… do you like me?”
“Like?”
Xia Mingtang blinked in confusion, her gaze meeting Qin Yan’s.
She often spoke the word “like,” but now, somehow, it stuck in her throat.
She furrowed her brows, pretending to think seriously, though her mind was blank.
“Well… it’s okay… hmph~”
The moment she spoke, Qin Yan pinched her thigh lightly, eliciting a soft moan.
You little ungrateful thing!
Qin Yan cursed silently, carrying her to the master bedroom’s bathroom.
A good night is too short to quarrel with a drunken little fox.
She helped Xia Mingtang rinse her mouth and undressed her completely.
The slightly tipsy Xia Mingtang was easier to manage than usual. Whatever Qin Yan did, she complied obediently and was extra clingy.
She didn’t fuss about what could or couldn’t be touched, nor throw tantrums at the slightest wrong touch.
Back in Yunzhen, Qin Yan had been teased and provoked by this little fox enough to feel an irresistible itch.
Now, with a closer bond between them, she was enjoying the moment immensely.
She even entertained a mischievous thought: perhaps she could occasionally give her a little drink.
But seeing the moans and discomfort of the fox in the bath, she sighed and decided against it.
Worried that prolonged soaking in the tub might chill her, Qin Yan used great willpower to quickly finish bathing Xia Mingtang.
She placed the now fragrant little fox on the bed and quickly cleaned herself in the bathroom.
By the time she returned, Xia Mingtang had curled up hugging a pillow.
Though wanting to sleep early, Qin Yan refused to let her off so easily.
The mattress dipped under their weight. Xia Mingtang twisted to give space, eyes still closed.
Qin Yan, however, did not sleep but wrapped her in her arms, kissing her repeatedly.
“Ugh…” Xia Mingtang opened her eyes in surprise, seeing the face so close to hers.
“Tang Tang…” Qin Yan whispered in a husky tone, brushing a few strands of hair behind her ear.
“Can I… have permission tonight?”
“Mm…” Xia Mingtang, still groggy, nuzzled her hand.
Qin Yan took this as consent.
The warm light fell on the rose-red sheets, enveloping two perfect bodies.
Kissing the soft, delicate skin carefully, she left a mark of a red bloom.
“Mm~” The slightly dazed fox made soft sounds, her body under the warm touch that was both comfortable and slightly overwhelming.
Qin Yan adored her like this, pressing just a little harder to elicit sweeter moans.
The fox responded perfectly, her voice soft and sultry, eyelashes damp with mist.
Qin Yan lifted her a little for better access to her trembling eyelids.
The alcohol gradually faded. Xia Mingtang opened her eyes, seeing Qin Yan neatly dressed, a little displeased.
She grabbed Qin Yan’s sleepwear and pulled, though weakly, relying on her weight to tug.
Two buttons popped off instantly.
Qin Yan let her struggle halfway, stopping her from fully removing it.
The little lady’s temper flared, crying out in frustration.
Qin Yan deliberately held back, teasing her even more, making her cry louder.
The moonlight shone brightly; birds that had been active all day had gone to sleep.
The villa was silent except for Xia Mingtang’s intermittent cries and shrieks.
This time, Qin Yan restrained herself, changing the bed sheet once and holding the soft little wife to comfort her.
Though she had released less than a tenth of her desire, after recent lessons, she knew the difference between being full once and truly satisfied.
Now that the little fox finally had a better impression of her, Qin Yan didn’t want another week-long “ban.”
When Xia Mingtang woke up, Qin Yan was at the window, working on her computer.
She wore a deep blue silk sleepwear, sitting comfortably on the sofa, her delicate fingers lightly tapping the keyboard.
Sunlight poured in through the shutters, casting a warm glow over her refined, elegant form, serene and pure.
Xia Mingtang stared for several seconds. The fire from last night’s encounters had vanished completely.
She got out of bed carefully, feeling no discomfort—a clear sign Qin Yan had exercised restraint.
She moved quietly but was still keenly observed.
Qin Yan put down the laptop and sat at the edge of the bed, gently massaging her fuzzy hair with concern.
“Awake? It’s the weekend; I thought you’d sleep in. Do you want to shower first or eat?”
Xia Mingtang, now in clean sleepwear after being cared for, finally gave her a pleasant response.
“Let’s eat first. I’ll rinse and go to the living room myself.”
“All right, I’ll have someone bring breakfast.” Qin Yan kissed the corner of her eye, careful not to take advantage, then left the bedroom.
Xia Mingtang watched her tall, elegant figure, feeling a warm surge in her heart.
Actually, Boss Qin wasn’t bad; perhaps she could communicate with her properly.
She washed up and checked her phone for messages.
Previously, she had contacted professors at J University for recommendation letters to study abroad.
Her reasoning was simple: if this marriage couldn’t end soon, she would find a legitimate reason to be away from Qin Yan.
Over time, their relationship would naturally fade.
Although not outstanding academically, she had never failed a course and had participated in some projects with her excellent roommate.
With her language skills, getting into a proper foreign school with a professor’s recommendation shouldn’t be difficult.
She wasn’t paying for school abroad—not because she was ambitious, but because she understood her grandmother. Summer Huaying favored ambitious children.
If she had paid to get a spot abroad, her grandmother would have intercepted her immediately.
She had been quietly working on her study abroad applications, progressing smoothly.
Seeing them all rejected now surprised her, but she secretly felt relieved.
If it weren’t necessary, who would want to leave home?
Xia Mingtang put away her phone and padded to the living room in slippers.
The master bedroom was now quiet; the message box in the laptop’s corner flickered silently.
If Xia Mingtang glanced back, she would notice that the snow-capped mountain avatar flickering was exactly the same as the one she had seen on An ran’s computer.
