The Yandere Queen's Manual for Training Her Wife - Chapter 111
By the time Qin Yan returned, her luggage had already been sent ahead to the Xijing Villa by the driver.
She was now driving the Pagani leisurely along the main road.
Xia Mingtang, slightly tipsy from drinking, leaned against the passenger seat. She wasn’t being noisy, only murmuring constantly under her breath.
Even after drinking quite a few cocktails, she didn’t feel drunk.
Her body felt heavy, but her mind was still very clear.
For example, right now, she was still able to clearly direct the driver on how to drive.
“Th-that tree… we’ve seen it before… are you… are you going in circles? Turn left, left!”
“D-don’t drive too fast… speeding will… will cost points!”
…
Qin Yan glanced at the speedometer, pointing at 40, then looked at the row of artificially planted trees on the left. She decided not to reason with a drunk person.
“Okay.” She agreed verbally, then pressed the accelerator and steered the car onto the highway on the right.
The car sped up, and Xia Mingtang’s back slammed into the seat, making her panic and scream.
“You c-can’t speed! That’s my… my car! Points… they’ll take points from me!”
Even drunk, she had ingrained traffic laws deep in her bones.
Qin Yan exited the highway at 80 km/h, but Xia Mingtang continued her litany of complaints.
Fortunately, the Xijing Villa was not far, and Qin Yan drove into the driveway and stopped the car.
The drunken Xia “Cat” finally quieted down, at least for the moment.
Xia Mingtang slumped in her seat. Once the seatbelt was undone, she stumbled out and wandered toward the hall.
She took a few steps, then stopped and looked back at Qin Yan, calling out:
“What are you standing there for? Hurry up and follow! Really… so silly.”
Qin Yan had the driver park the car in the garage, then stepped forward and put a hand on the tipsy Xia Mingtang’s shoulder.
In the past, if her wife had come home this drunk, she would have scolded her thoroughly.
But today, Qin Yan was in a great mood—not just because of the joy of reunion, but also because she saw the concern in her wife’s eyes.
From picking her up to returning home, Qin Yan not only didn’t scold her once, but her actions and words were unusually gentle, giving Xia Mingtang an almost deceptive sense of ease.
“You’re back.” Xia Mingtang reached out to touch her face, eyes hazy with intoxication, looking almost sentimental.
Qin Yan hooked an arm around her waist, worried she might lose balance.
She hadn’t expected that after just three days away, her wife would miss her this much.
Maybe next time… take another business trip?
Of course, this thought remained unspoken. Instead, Qin Yan smoothly coaxed her.
“I’m back. I promise, I’ll never leave you again lightly, Tangtang.”
Hearing this, Xia Mingtang didn’t show the delight Qin Yan expected. She just sniffled and said helplessly:
“That’s… not really up to you. Last time, you… you left so suddenly.”
Last time? Left so suddenly?
Qin Yan found it odd. While holding Xia Mingtang’s waist and guiding her into the house, she continued to listen carefully.
Xia Mingtang walked unsteadily, like a wobbly toy, leaning heavily on Qin Yan. She was intentionally lazy, putting most of her weight on the person behind her, only focusing on speaking.
“When you weren’t here these days, I tried so many ways to… to call you back, but none… none worked.
“How… how did you… turn back to normal?”
Turn back to normal?
Qin Yan’s face darkened. Her Tangtang had just compared her to that defective version of herself.
Worse, she had chosen that defective version over Qin Yan!
At this moment, Xia Mingtang didn’t realize how much trouble her drunken honesty had caused.
She leaned on Qin Yan to enter the bedroom, collapsed on the sofa, and looked up at her standing perfectly straight.
“I thought about it… actually, having a split personality isn’t so bad, but you should… should have some warning signs. Last time, it was just too… too sudden.”
Qin Yan bent down, sitting beside Xia Mingtang, her dark eyes bottomless.
“Who told you I have a split personality?”
Xia Mingtang shook her head without answering directly, reaching out to pinch Qin Yan’s face.
As she pinched, she giggled foolishly, “You’re cuter this way. Don’t worry, I won’t force you to get treatment.”
Treatment…
Qin Yan lifted the almost-sleeping Xia Mingtang from the sofa, her tone terrifyingly serious.
“You met Song Mo.”
Normally, Qin Yan’s pressure would have frightened Xia Mingtang into submission. But drunk, her wife’s bluntness gave her courage.
She ignored Qin Yan’s question, propped herself up with her arms, walked to the window, and pushed it open.
“So hot.”
Qin Yan didn’t get an answer, but she already had a guess.
She squinted, stayed silent for several seconds, then decided to handle the immediate situation first.
She stepped forward, pulled the half-leaning Xia Mingtang back from the window, and angrily carried her to the bathroom.
Although Qin Yan was full of anger, she still dutifully served the person who annoyed her.
Xia Mingtang obediently leaned back in the bathtub, enjoying the care, occasionally directing Qin Yan to move faster.
Qin Yan’s hand often hovered over her supple body, but she breathed deeply and restrained herself.
After all, teaching a drunk person a lesson wouldn’t help them remember.
Xia Mingtang didn’t know how furious she was making Qin Yan. While Qin Yan applied body wash, she leaned forward and kissed her on the lips.
Originally, such enthusiastic behavior should have pleased Qin Yan. But recalling what Xia Mingtang had said earlier, her face tightened, and her grip on the wash grew firmer.
Xia Mingtang whimpered and squirmed as she was scrubbed, looking pitiful, yet not blaming Qin Yan as usual.
Such good temper might be because she thought she was facing the defective version.
Qin Yan’s heart both ached and warmed. She carefully finished washing her and lifted her from the tub.
Xia Mingtang, freed from some of the alcohol, had eyes sparkling like stars.
When Qin Yan dried her hair with a towel, Xia Mingtang reached out with her pinky, intentionally linking fingers.
Qin Yan, originally annoyed, found herself stirred by this teasing. She pinched her palm, then quickly dressed her in pajamas and carried her to the sofa in the bedroom to dry her hair.
The hairdryer was set to medium, humming in the night.
One hand supported Xia Mingtang’s head, the other holding the dryer, Qin Yan was distracted.
After only a few days away, Song Mo had secretly met Tangtang. She didn’t know what had been said.
But judging by Tangtang’s reaction, she hadn’t been swayed—for now.
The most annoying thing, though, wasn’t that…
“Hot.” Xia Mingtang looked up at her, voice soft and delicate.
Qin Yan instinctively moved the dryer slightly away and continued stroking the soft head.
“Be good.”
She didn’t realize how displeased her tone sounded.
Luckily, Xia Mingtang didn’t argue. She let out a small hum and obediently sat upright.
Qin Yan’s anger softened as she stroked her hair, almost like a feather tickling her heart.
She thought:
If Tangtang were always this obedient…
Maybe… she could pretend to be the defective version for a while?
The thought came suddenly and wasn’t pursued further.
Hair dried, Xia Mingtang saw Qin Yan put down the dryer and stretched her arms toward her.
“Hug.”
The last time she had done this proactively was in Yun Town, the night before they separated.
She didn’t know how many times her Tangtang had done this with the other Qin Yan.
Better not to think about it; thinking would only anger her.
Qin Yan leaned down, held her steadily, and laid her on the bed.
When she went to get the dryer again, two fingers grabbed her clothes to stop her.
Sitting on the bed, Xia Mingtang’s eyes were round and bright, like a curious little fox.
Qin Yan crawled onto the bed, wrapped her in a blanket again.
Although it was almost summer, the villa near the water was still cool at night.
Xia Mingtang twisted a little but didn’t pull the blanket, answering honestly:
“I’m looking at you… because you’re beautiful.”
This was the happiest thing Qin Yan had heard all evening. After all, at any stage of memory, they shared the same face.
She curled her lips, hugged her, and kissed her, voice seductive:
“You like my face?”
“Yes.” Xia Mingtang answered sincerely. “From the first time I saw you… I liked it a lot.”
“No.” Qin Yan shook her head. “That… wasn’t really you.”
“Also not right.” Xia Mingtang patted her head. “Then that must be you.”
“Still not right…”
Her brain wasn’t fit for complex analysis and got herself tangled in her own words.
Qin Yan stopped her, taking both hands gently.
Looking into her slightly hazy eyes, half teasing, half hypnotic:
“That’s me. The one you liked all along is me. You fell in love with me at first sight.”
