- The Woman I Was Flirting With Turned Out To Be A Chaebol Heiress
- Chapter 27 - No Experience
Li Nianyi felt like her mind was a bit of a mess.
Maybe it was from the kissing just now oxygen deprived, so her whole brain was a little fuzzy.
The only thing she knew for sure was: she was currently lying on Jiang Ji’s bed.
She had just confessed and succeeded.
Just like that, she unexpectedly entered a new relationship with the person she liked. And somehow, Li Nianyi found herself feeling strangely unaccustomed to it.
Was it… nerves?
She was nervous because she and Jiang Ji were officially together now.
What a strange, novel feeling.
“Uh… Nian Nian, are we… going to do anything next?”
They couldn’t just lie there and do nothing, right?
The person beside her slowly slid their hand onto her forearm.
It tickled.
Not just her skin.
“What do you want to do, my dear girlfriend?”
Nervous as she might be, she still couldn’t resist teasing her adorable, innocent girlfriend.
It was just too fun her thoughts were completely written on her face.
Hearing Li Nianyi say that, Jiang Ji’s face immediately flushed. It was probably the umpteenth time she felt like she was being indecent. Those shameful images flickered through her mind like scenes from a film, and after saying “I’m willing,” her desire had only grown stronger.
“Other than kissing me… what else do you want to do?”
Li Nianyi reached out and pinched her burning earlobe.
“You always joke with me. I didn’t mean anything like that…”
Jiang Ji turned her eyes away, not daring to look at her, much less admit the truth.
“Liar. I don’t believe you.”
Suddenly, Li Nianyi rolled over and straddled Jiang Ji’s lower abdomen. She tucked her long hair behind her ears, her beautiful eyes blinking like stars.
Instinctively, Jiang Ji placed her hands on Li Nianyi’s waist. Summer clothes were far too thin, and she felt her hands tremble unconsciously.
She thought she should be doing something.
But what exactly?
Her mind went completely blank. All those comics and novels she usually read? Gone.
After all, just the fact that Li Nianyi was on top of her was enough to short circuit her brain.
Suddenly, a soft kiss landed on Jiang Ji’s forehead.
“Do you like that?”
A seductive voice whispered in her ear.
“L-l-like…”
Jiang Ji, like someone who had lost the ability to think, lay stiff and motionless, letting Li Nianyi take the lead.
“How about this?”
Li Nianyi’s lips brushed her earlobe. Jiang Ji instinctively shrank her neck.
The sensation was strange when she kissed her, Jiang Ji wanted to run away, but once she left, Jiang Ji would subconsciously long for that tender closeness again.
Li Nianyi was like a witch.
She had turned her into someone so strange.
From earlobe to collarbone, and then slowly down to her abdomen, Li Nianyi’s kisses fell like sparks across her body, igniting her reason. Jiang Ji felt herself become more tense than ever before.
“Jiang Jiang, your abs are so beautiful.”
Li Nianyi gently caressed the defined lines of her abs, made visible from how tightly she was clenching.
“If you like them… then I’m glad.”
Her voice had turned slightly hoarse without her noticing maybe it was because of Li Nianyi’s sudden shift in tone.
The next moment, Li Nianyi gently cupped Jiang Ji’s cheeks and gave her one final kiss on the lips.
“My love, let’s stop here for tonight.”
Then, she peacefully lay back down beside Jiang Ji.
“Huh?”
Jiang Ji hadn’t recovered yet. How had her girlfriend suddenly vanished from on top of her?
She thought something else was going to happen. Those few kisses had stirred her heart until it had nowhere to rest, and now this woman just casually lay back down like nothing happened.
This wicked girl was she only good at teasing with no aftercare?
Li Nianyi immediately seized the chance to tease:
“Still claiming you had no such thoughts? Then what are you disappointed about now?”
“I wasn’t!”
Jiang Ji denied it guiltily.
“I just… thought you might…”
She tried to explain herself but couldn’t say anything coherent.
“Thought what? That I’d make a move on you?”
Li Nianyi found her hand and laced their fingers together, the motion so natural, as if they had done this a thousand times before.
Jiang Ji said nothing, only tightened her grip slightly.
“Anyway, tonight’s a no-go.”
“Why not?”
Li Nianyi pulled her hand onto her own stomach, the other hand tracing circles flirtatiously on her skin.
“What’s the rush?”
Her ending tone lingered like a hook, tugging at Jiang Ji’s heart.
“I’m not in a rush, just… a bit curious.”
“Alright, alright. I’ll tell you, you curious little kitten.”
Li Nianyi gently pinched her slender finger joints and whispered close to her ear:
“You’ve never done this before, right? I want to make it as enjoyable for you as I can. But to be honest, I don’t have much experience being the ‘top’ either, so I need to prepare properly.”
In an instant, Jiang Ji’s face flushed again, her blood rushing upward.
She wants to make me happy…
And she could say such things so calmly too?
Jiang Ji lightly shoved Li Nianyi, more like a pout than a push—it carried no force and only made Li Nianyi laugh harder.
Silence fell again, but neither of them seemed the least bit sleepy.
“Jiang Ji.”
“Hmm?”
“Summer’s almost over.”
“Yeah.”
“I feel like I didn’t do anything at all. How did time pass so quickly?”
“Well, we became lovers.”
“That counts as something?”
“Of course. For me, it’s the biggest thing.”
“So I’m that important, huh?”
“Yeah. Very important.”
Very, very important.
What is the meaning of human existence?
In countless numb moments, Jiang Ji would think of that question out of nowhere.
She sometimes laughed at herself for pretending to be a philosopher, but the question still haunted her.
Life really didn’t seem to mean much.
Every day felt the same. Even the thrill of danger eventually lost its edge.
At most, you just die.
She never had anyone or anything she cared about. So if she died, no one would cry for her.
Just go on surviving, she supposed.
But now she had Li Nianyi.
Such a good person, and she had fallen for her.
If she died, Li Nianyi would be sad, wouldn’t she?
Jiang Ji didn’t want to see her sad.
She didn’t know when it happened, but she had found the meaning of her existence.
Because she had someone to care for, she also grew more connected to this world.
She had to leave the Saionji household. No matter what, she had to get away from that place. Jiang Ji didn’t want to bring unnecessary trouble or danger to Li Nianyi.
“What a coincidence you’re very important to me too.”
Staring up at the dark ceiling, Li Nianyi felt a rare sense of peace.
It was the feeling of having family again.
Thanks to her grandmother, she had once felt that warmth so when she felt it again, she recognized it immediately.
She had already come to think of Jiang Ji as her new family.
Li Nianyi’s school had started. But at school, she saw someone she never expected to run into.
It was Ki Motoki.
She was dressed in plain clothes, looking like a normal student walking around the University of Tokyo campus.
“Officer Ki? Didn’t expect to see you here I thought police were always busy.”
The other woman had already seen her. Out of courtesy, Li Nianyi greeted her.
“It’s Miss Li.”
Ki gave a bitter smile.
“Long story I’m currently on ‘leave.’”
They found a café and sat in a corner to chat.
“The Suzuki case may be officially closed, but I couldn’t let it go, so I kept investigating secretly. Not long after, due to a so-called ‘mistake,’ I was forced into leave.”
Li Nianyi froze for a second.
Hearing Suzuki’s name again felt surreal. She had only died recently, yet the speed at which someone could be forgotten was frightening.
“Didn’t expect you to still be looking into it… I saw the official statement and thought the police had given up.”
Ki just shrugged.
“Well, I’m already suspended, so I might as well figure it out. Can’t let all that effort go to waste.”
“So you came to our school today because you found something?”
“Not exactly. Just trying to look into her routine on campus. So far, everything seems normal classes, labs. Nothing suspicious. Doesn’t look like the school holds any useful clues.”
Li Nianyi nodded in agreement.
“I was also paranoid about it for a while suspecting this and that. At one point, I realized there was one day of missing video footage. She always filmed at the same time every day, so I started spinning conspiracy theories… but turns out she had just called in sick that day.”
But at that, Ki’s expression suddenly turned serious.
“Which day was missing?”
