- The Wicked Disciple Has Fallen Into Demonic Possession, And The Master Can No Longer Withstand It!
- Chapter 4 - How Much Time Do You Need to Prepare
Hearing the sounds escaping his own lips, Yan Jue covered his mouth. It was far too humiliating, especially since the man opposite him maintained an utterly rippleless expression while quietly watching him make a fool of himself.
“You, you get out.”
Yan Jue leaned half-collapsed against the hard stone bed. His breathing grew heavier while his upper body trembled slightly. Even if he had to resolve this, he could not do it in front of Qi Yelan.
Qi Yelan arched a brow while watching the youth before him with his clothes half-falling off. The soft, bright face was twisted in extreme restraint, and a faint crimson flush spread across the fair skin. He looked weak, yet his eyes were full of grit. Qi Yelan stared at him for a moment. This person’s brow was filled with the shadow of that man. He took another step forward while staring into those eyes as if trying to find something, but he ultimately found nothing. He then flicked his sleeve and left.
Yan Jue shuffled his body backward again until he reached the wall. The cold surface of the stone made him feel a bit more comfortable. After Qi Yelan stepped out, the stone door of the room closed with a heavy thud. It sounded like a muffled hammer striking Yan Jue’s chest, but it also allowed him to let out a short sigh of relief.
Now, he had to solve his problem by himself. Yan Jue struggled to move to the foot of the bed and curled into a corner with his knees half-bent. He had to rely on his own hands to provide for himself.
He busied himself for over an hour. Only after the surging blood and unbearable heat within his body were released through rounds of relief did he find himself drenched in sweat. Panting steadily, he lay on his side atop the animal skins of the stone bed and drifted into a weary sleep.
When he opened his eyes again, the environment was still dim. As his memory returned, the events of last night became increasingly clear in his mind. For him, this was bad news. In a sense, he was now in the enemy camp, held captive by a Demon Lord disciple who could discover his identity and cut him into a thousand pieces at any moment. He was just a career-minded person who only wanted to live out this life peacefully and re-ascend. Why did he have to suffer such hardships?
He lay in bed dazing for a while before moving. He had not slept well last night and seemed to have a stiff neck. Just as he was about to rub the soreness in his throat, he turned his head and discovered something startling. He had been staring at the bed curtains above, so he had not noticed there was someone else beside him.
That ink-colored long robe lay on its side right next to him. One did not need to guess to know who it was. Looking at his own disheveled state, Yan Jue instinctively retreated toward the corner of the bed. When did Qi Yelan come?
Yan Jue quickly checked his body for any discomfort. After confirming nothing was amiss, he felt relieved. He had been too tired last night to tidy up, so his collar was still open. He hurried to straighten his clothes. As soon as there was movement on his side, Qi Yelan noticed. The man’s body stirred.
Yan Jue used this time to finish buttoning his robes while planning to slip off the bed before Qi Yelan realized. He did not want to stare awkwardly at Qi Yelan in such a setting. Although the two had done nothing, the scene was inevitably suggestive. It was inappropriate, truly inappropriate.
“Where are you going?”
Yan Jue had just reached the foot of the bed and was about to climb down when Qi Yelan’s clear voice sounded in his ear. It lacked the coldness of the previous night, but it was still devoid of emotion. He froze while bent over and propping himself up at the edge of the bed in a jumping posture, frozen like a statue. After thinking for a long time, he stammered out a line.
“I, I want to relieve myself.”
Hearing this, Qi Yelan looked at him with half-suspicion. Then, he flipped over and sat up while quickly stepping into his shoes. Before Yan Jue could even put his own shoes on, he was grabbed by the collar and lifted from the edge of the bed.
Yan Jue was suddenly airborne while being tucked under Qi Yelan’s arm. Bent at the waist and still holding one shoe in his hand, he looked like a naughty child being carried by an elder after making a mistake. If he could prove his identity right now, he would surely scold Qi Yelan for being a rebel who dared to treat his own master this way.
The sleeping chamber was large. Qi Yelan carried him to a corner and pressed a stone brick on the wall. The stone door moved slowly, and he set Yan Jue down while gesturing for him to go inside. Once his feet touched the ground, Yan Jue hurried to put his shoe on. Standing with his back to Qi Yelan, who was a head taller than him, he felt that gaze like thorns on his back. He did not move for a long time.
“Did you not want to relieve yourself?” Qi Yelan’s questioning voice came from behind.
“Well, with you standing right there, I cannot”
As soon as the words left his mouth, the sound of footsteps behind him grew distant. Yan Jue turned his head and saw that Qi Yelan had walked away. Only then did he relax and release himself into the wooden bucket, all while contemplating an escape route.
After finishing, Yan Jue lingered for a long time. He fished out the handkerchief he had used the previous night and tossed it into the bucket as well. He spent ages adjusting his pants and smoothing his collar while preferring to stand in the corner rather than go back to Qi Yelan’s side. He dawdled until his stomach felt hungry, finally walking back to the center of the hall.
Qi Yelan was fully dressed and sitting by the stone bed while reading a bamboo slip intently. Yan Jue walked over and sat down at the stone table nearby while feeling a bit out of place until the other man finally looked up and noticed him.
He spoke in a negotiating tone. “When can you let me out?”
Qi Yelan’s brow furrowed slightly. His gaze remained like a pool of stagnant water while being devoid of emotion. “On the day you willingly open your legs for me.”
“You”
Yan Jue was speechless. What kind of scandalous language was this? He never knew Qi Yelan was such an overbearing person.
“Then at least unlock the Spirit-Locking Collar on my neck.”
“You still want to run?” Qi Yelan’s voice was exceptionally cold.
Yan Jue hurried to explain. “No, look, my spiritual power is low. I am no threat to you. Be the bigger person and let us meet halfway.”
Qi Yelan asked, “If I unlock it, will you agree to my request?”
“No,” Yan Jue shook his head before saying, “But we can discuss it. Dual cultivation is not the only way, right? I am not prepared for that yet.”
“How much time do you need to prepare?” Qi Yelan asked directly.
