The White Moonlight Omega Has Amnesia and Always Tries to Seduce Me - Chapter 93
Qin Huai was in her heat cycle again.
When she woke up in the morning, her face was flushed, her body felt weak, her limbs were powerless, and a certain part of her body was wet and seemed bottomless, like a deep cavern. Beside the bed, the alpha’s bed sheet was smooth, and the quilt was neatly spread without a single crease.
Omegas in heat are extremely insecure. They scrutinize every action of their alpha, magnifying details that they would normally ignore. Any minor action that is usually overlooked will be deeply resented once the heat cycle begins.
Just like their argument yesterday. The cause was that Qin Huai had pulled an all-nighter in the lab and hadn’t had breakfast the next day. Shen Zhi made her routine check-in call, but Qin Huai concealed the truth, and they ended up arguing over the phone.
They had been together for five years. In these five years, Qin Huai graduated with her master’s, pursued her doctorate, and began working under a top expert in national suppressant research. She became increasingly composed in handling matters, but when it came to Shen Zhi, she would always overthink things.
Shen Zhi called her every day. Qin Huai complained about it incessantly, yet the one day she didn’t receive a call, she was so upset that she couldn’t eat. Every night before sleeping, she insisted that Shen Zhi hug her. If Shen Zhi refused for a night, Qin Huai would relentlessly disturb her throughout the entire night.
Shen Zhi didn’t think it was a big deal; she was happy to indulge her, even wishing Qin Huai would be even clingier, so she didn’t take it to heart.
This ultimately led to the current situation. Qin Huai woke up this morning and didn’t see Shen Zhi. Coupled with her heat cycle, her temper was even more explosive. She first scoured the house for sandalwood-scented perfume, meticulously spraying every corner of the house, but to little effect. She was so angry that she threw all the perfume into the trash can.
In all the time they had been together, whenever Qin Huai went into heat, Shen Zhi would appear immediately to accompany her, even rushing back at the first opportunity if she was out of town.
Today was the first time her heat cycle had arrived and Shen Zhi was absent.
Qin Huai, dressed in a slip dress, sat at the dressing table. Natural light streamed in from the window, outlining the curve of her straight neck and shoulder line. Her dark hair fell loosely, and her demeanor was usually cool and aloof, but under the influence of her heat cycle, she was also hazy and disoriented.
That part of her body seemed to hold a pool of water, or perhaps was covered in a layer of mud, becoming sticky and damp.
So what if Shen Zhi didn’t come home? It wasn’t a big deal. Before she had her, didn’t she manage to get through her heat cycles by herself?
After treatment from Zhou Yue, Qin Huai hadn’t experienced amnesia for a long time and clearly remembered where the suppressants were kept at home.
She got up from the mirror. The sunlight slanted across her lower legs. Her skin was fair and smooth, without a single scar. She stopped in front of the wardrobe, opened a drawer inside, and took out a tube of suppressant.
The sharp needle pierced her skin. Qin Huai closed her eyes. The liquid entered her body through her fingertips. The mixture of two cold sensations was truly unpleasant.
After injecting one tube, Qin Huai tossed the item into the trash can and lay back on the bed.
She woke up again, feeling hot. Qin Huai’s mouth was dry, her whole body was feverish, and the air, besides the sweet smell of orange, also carried other faint scents. The curtains hadn’t been drawn, and in the bright daylight, Qin Huai entered her heat cycle again.
There was still no other sound in the room. A wave of grievance washed over her. Qin Huai’s nose felt sore. She clutched the corner of the quilt tightly with both hands, tears uncontrollably streaming down her face.
One moment, she blamed Shen Zhi, cursing her for being heartless, not cherishing her now that she had her, calling her a scumbag Alpha just like Lin Qiu. The next, she blamed herself, for being useless, unable to even endure a heat cycle.
As she wallowed in resentment, her body seemed drawn by some attraction, moving towards the spot where Shen Zhi usually slept.
That area carried a faint scent of sandalwood. Although the smell was weak, it was better than nothing.
Qin Huai lay there for less than ten minutes. The floodgates that had momentarily closed in the early stage now opened with greater ferocity, and her yearning for Shen Zhi grew even stronger.
Gradually, she was no longer satisfied with just the simple comfort of the bedding.
Qin Huai got out of bed, her bare feet touching the floor. As she walked, a watery sound “drip” echoed with each step. Her face flushed, and she walked faster.
She finally stopped in front of the wardrobe. Inside, there was a drawer full of suppressants, and also a whole cabinet of Shen Zhi’s clothes.
Should she take them?
But taking the suppressants would be like a drop in the ocean, and taking the alpha’s clothes would be like drinking poisoned wine to quench thirst.
Neither choice could truly quench her thirst. Given the situation, she might as well use the suppressant, so she wouldn’t think of a certain person during her heat cycle. Qin Huai reached out to pull open the drawer, but her pale fingers paused when they touched the suppressant.
When Shen Zhi returned, the sky had already darkened. Although they had had a cold war, she still had to come home. Qin Huai was clingy and sensitive, and all Shen Zhi could do was try to give her more security.
Shen Zhi, as usual, put the key in the lock to open the door and called out to the living room, “I’m home.”
There was no response, but the whole room was engulfed by the overwhelming scent of orange, leaving her defenseless. She quickly figured it out and rushed to the bedroom without even taking off her backpack.
In recent years, Qin Huai’s pheromones still didn’t affect other alphas, but they were enough to affect Shen Zhi. Especially after every marking, she could sense every thought in the omega’s mind, like a text message.
The curtains still hadn’t been drawn or rather, there hadn’t been time to draw them. The deep blue sky was as dark as the ocean at dawn. The scent of orange was like surging tides, wave after wave.
The source of the orange scent was currently buried under the covers, and the once-flat bed was now a mound.
Shen Zhi walked to the bed, reaching out to pull off the quilt to see her omega tormented by the heat cycle, but just as her hand moved, the person inside tightly hugged the covers, not letting anything in.
“Huaihuai, is your heat cycle here?” Shen Zhi frowned, looking anxious. “Why didn’t you call me?”
The omega under the quilt still didn’t speak, but the mound in the middle of the bed trembled slightly.
Shen Zhi had a class today, which made her even more anxious. She coaxed from outside, “Come out quickly, let me see.”
There was still no movement inside.
Recalling yesterday’s argument, Shen Zhi apologized: “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have talked to you like that yesterday, I regret it. But I really worry about you. You said you were hospitalized because of a stomach problem, and you’re in so much pain you can’t sleep every time. If you don’t take good care of your body, what am I supposed to do?”
The corner of the quilt loosened a little.
Shen Zhi continued, “How am I supposed to not worry about you?”
The restriction of the quilt finally eased.
Shen Zhi lifted the corner of the quilt and her breath hitched when she saw the omega inside.
In the dark grey bedding, Qin Huai was like a fawn lost in a secret realm, her eyes clear and innocent, filled with physiological tears. She wasn’t wearing her own slip dress, but Shen Zhi’s ordinary V-neck pajamas. The alpha’s straight frame, combined with clothes that fit well, became loose and unrestrained on the omega’s body, easily displaced by any slight friction. However, due to Shen Zhi’s action of lifting the quilt, the neckline of the pajamas slipped, revealing a large area of her back.
“Huaihuai, you are…” Shen Zhi looked at her omega wearing her pajamas, surrounded by a pile of her other clothes, including a black short-sleeved T-shirt she had just taken off.
“What are you looking at?” Qin Huai’s eyelashes were wet and clumped together. “Get out of here, I don’t want to see you.”
The black short sleeved T-shirt was placed on the omega’s waist, and a milky white substance on it made the sight extremely ambiguous.
Shen Zhi leaned in to coax her, “Huaihuai, don’t be angry, it’s all my fault. Next time you don’t eat breakfast, I’ll join you in not eating, okay? We can be hospitalized together, at least we’ll have company in the hospital.”
Qin Huai was just in heat, she wasn’t an idiot. Hearing this, she cried even more, “What nonsense are you talking about?”
Shen Zhi was determined to cure her clinginess, and she had to seize the moment, “Do you agree or not? Anyway, you don’t care about this body. As soon as you leave, I’ll follow right after.”
“You!” Qin Huai was so angry her eyes turned red, but she couldn’t speak a complete sentence.
Shen Zhi was done with the tough approach, the next step was the gentle one. Her fingers traced down Qin Huai’s body, and when they stopped at a certain spot, her hand became covered with a layer of fluid. “Sister, eat on time next time, okay?”
Shen Zhi’s hands were streamlined and clean, as if finely sketched with a pencil, fingernails distinct from fingertips. Such a pair of hands could solve math problems and conduct chemical experiments, and now, wearing a black electronic watch, they kneaded and rubbed unhurriedly.
“Don’t touch me,” Qin Huai lay on the bed, her voice trembling slightly.
Shen Zhi purposely went against her wishes, “Unless my sister agrees?”
Agreeing now wouldn’t be agreeing; it would be yielding to coercion. Qin Huai’s forehead was sweaty, and she bit her crimson lips, refusing to speak.
The scent of sandalwood in the air descended slowly like a pair of large hands.
Qin Huai shivered instinctively, enveloped in the scent. Shen Zhi naturally noticed this, and her eyes darkened slightly.
“Sister, you still haven’t agreed,” Shen Zhi flipped on the light with a “snap,” and the room immediately brightened.
Qin Huai squinted her eyes and gathered her thighs, as if trying to hold onto something, but Shen Zhi quickly withdrew and nonchalantly pulled some tissue from the bedside to slowly wipe her hand.
“If Sister won’t agree, then so be it,” Shen Zhi said. “I must not have been good enough just now to satisfy my sister.”
“Shut up.”
Shen Zhi finished wiping her hands and tossed the tissue directly onto the floor. She stood up from the bed and walked gracefully towards the window. “Sister, you forgot to draw the curtains today. Did the people across the street see?”
Qin Huai was startled, understanding Shen Zhi’s next strategy.
Just as she expected, Shen Zhi returned to the bedside and unbuttoned her shirt. “Since my sister won’t, then let me take the lead.”
Her clothes were thrown into the corner, and the backpack made a muffled thud as it landed. Qin Huai only heard the sound and didn’t know what was happening behind her, only that the large, sandalwood-scented hands pressed down heavily, enveloping her whole body. Her scalp tingled from a certain stimulus.
Shen Zhi kissed her scent gland and whispered, “If my sister shouts stop later, it won’t count.”
