The White Moonlight Omega Has Amnesia and Always Tries to Seduce Me - Chapter 55
After the gathering ended, Qin Huai successfully obtained the contact information of several of Gu Qing’s former colleagues as desired.
In the elevator back to her room, Qin Huai watched the blinking numbers, her arms crossed, her shoulders leaning against the cool metal door, her thin lips tightly pursed.
The Gu Qing described by Qin Zhijing at the cemetery that day and the Gu Qing depicted by everyone today were two completely different people. If there had to be one person who resembled her, it could only be Qin Zhijing.
Qin Huai rubbed her temple with a slight headache, her elbow resting on the elevator railing. When she heard the elevator ‘ding,’ indicating arrival at the floor, Qin Huai seemed to recall something. The tense expression she had maintained suddenly relaxed, and the weariness between her brows vanished.
She waited for the elevator doors to slide open. The moment she stepped out, all the previous sense of relaxation disappeared, and only her footsteps gradually slowed.
When she left the room this afternoon, Shen Zhi lay on the bed, her scent pheromones scattered in every corner of the room, her body only covered by a quilt. Before Qin Huai closed the door, her eyes were filled with a smile, “I’ll wait for you to come back, Wife.”
Hearing that address, Qin Huai’s hand, which was adjusting her collar, paused slightly. Her clear black and white eyes seemed to be covered with a faint light, a look that was both hopeful and yearning.
In bed, Shen Zhi, being younger, actually liked to mess around a lot. She wouldn’t focus on her own feelings but would give Qin Huai too much experience, especially loving to see Qin Huai display various expressions of loss of control. In those moments, the Alpha’s eyes would retract their usual pretense, like a dark night with no end in sight.
Qin Huai stopped at the room door, her shoulder line straight and rigid. She pulled the room card from her pocket and placed it on the sensor.
“Beep.”
Before leaving, she had specifically asked the front desk for an extra room card so Shen Zhi could use electricity when going out for a meal. Now, the complete darkness of the room indicated that this small space was empty.
What was I expecting?
With a “snap,” the door was tightly shut. Qin Huai inserted the room card into the slot by the door. The room lights instantly turned on simultaneously, replacing the gray darkness with brightness. The clean quilt on the bed was casually scattered, with the corner almost touching the floor.
Qin Huai quietly took off her clothes and went to the bathroom to prepare for a shower.
It was already past nine in the evening after her shower. It was completely dark outside. Qin Huai pushed open the window. As the cool breeze blew on her face, her undried long hair lifted with it.
Qin Huai had never had the habit of blow drying her hair after a shower, as these mundane tasks were a waste of time in her eyes. After meeting Shen Zhi, whenever they stayed together, Shen Zhi would always proactively pick up the hairdryer and stand behind her, gently massaging her scalp while chatting softly.
This was after meeting Shen Zhi, but what about before meeting Shen Zhi?
Qin Huai suddenly had no memory of it. It should have been the same as usual: reading and studying while waiting for her hair to air dry naturally. But that would take too much time, and she didn’t have any extra patience for such things.
So how did I manage before?
Qin Huai couldn’t hold back any longer. She walked to the desk, picked up her phone, and dialed the number she had wanted to call since entering the room.
“Beep, beep.” The phone rang for a long time before being answered. Qin Huai sat on the sofa. The words she had spent time organizing were stuck in her throat after the person on the other end spoke.
“Hello there.”
Amidst the noisy background, an unfamiliar Omega’s voice was sweetly captivating. Qin Huai, who was originally leaning in the corner of the sofa, sat straight up, “Who is this?”
“I’m her friend. She’s playing with me now, nothing important, so I’m hanging up,” the Omega said with a seemingly good temper.
“Wait.” Qin Huai quickly stopped her, randomly using her roommate’s name, “Where are you and Luo Chen playing? I have two Alpha friends who want to join.”
After Qin Huai spoke, the corners of her eyes curved coldly, her mouth tightly pressed into a line.
“Luo Chen and I are at Xingguang Bar. If you want to come, hurry up,” the person on the other end continued, following Qin Huai’s lead.
“You’re not her friend.” Qin Huai quickly stood up, put the phone on speaker on the table, and asked while changing her clothes, “Who exactly are you?”
There was a brief one-second pause on the other end, followed by the Omega’s clear laughter.
Qin Huai had already changed her clothes, grabbed her phone, and walked towards the door. As the room darkened, her voice was cold, like a ghost, “Don’t touch her, or you will regret it.”
This was her first time in this city, and Qin Huai was unfamiliar with the routes. As the taxi gradually approached the bar, Qin Huai’s heart pounded. No other matter could distract her; she had no energy to focus elsewhere.
At the bar entrance, Alphas and Omegas in groups of three or five were supporting each other, with Betas walking among them, appearing particularly safe. Qin Huai got out of the car and rushed straight into the bar.
The bar was even more crowded than the outside. Men and women were mixed in the drinking area. Qin Huai pushed through the crowd, searching repeatedly but still couldn’t find Shen Zhi. She had no choice but to stop in a corner and call the number again.
This time, the call was answered quickly. Similar to before, after connecting, no one spoke.
Qin Huai was unsure who answered the phone, but based on what the Omega had just said, she guessed Shen Zhi might be drunk, and the caller could only be that Omega. Therefore, Qin Huai left no room for doubt when she spoke, “Where did you take her?”
The breathing on the other end paused, and still, no one spoke.
“Excuse me, could you please move? I need to go to the restroom.”
A voice came from behind Qin Huai. She had to take a step forward, yielding the bathroom corridor, and apologized.
Repeated inquiries without response caused Qin Huai to gradually lose patience. “I’m asking you a question, where did you take Shen Zhi? If you don’t tell me, I’ll call the police right now.”
This time, there was finally movement on the other end, but only a faint grunt, and then the call was hung up.
Since she left in a hurry, Qin Huai could only randomly take a shirt from her luggage, but even so, she felt cold at night. Her attire was simple and casual but looked out of place in this bar setting.
The Omega’s outstanding looks, coupled with her rare temperament, immediately attracted the attention of many Alphas as soon as she appeared at the bar. Her figure was already slender. A loose shirt covered her, making her shoulder blades appear particularly fragile. She stood under the white light, a beam shining from the front, reflecting her pale complexion.
Qin Huai had already taken out her phone. Just before pressing the call button for the police, a breath smelling of alcohol suddenly came from behind her. Then, her vision was stripped away, a black silk ribbon flashed before her eyes, and complete darkness replaced all light.
