Tan Yin woke up inside a modern novel titled “The Evil Woman Wants to Rule the Business World.”
A system told her that her only way back to her original world was to eliminate the story’s villainous female lead, Fang Huiling. However, the current Fang Huiling was only twelve years old. She had been human trafficked and lived a miserable, lonely life. Despite her hardships, she was sweet, thoughtful, and incredibly clingy. Tan Yin simply did not have the heart to hurt her.
Feeling sorry for the poor child, Tan Yin decided to protect her instead. Unfortunately, the troublesome system constantly forced her to complete tasks that harmed the young girl. If she refused, the system would shock her with electricity and take away her progress points. The system essentially forced her to act like a perfect villainess.
Tan Yin was certain that the girl must hate her to the core, so she decided to run away before things got worse. To her surprise, Fang Huiling tracked her down. Not only did she hold no grudges, but she also treated Tan Yin with absolute devotion. She was so good to her that it became overwhelming, and Tan Yin slowly realized that something was very wrong.
After being kicked out of the Fang family, Tan Yin had nowhere else to go. After wandering from place to place, she finally settled down near a remote university and lived there for years.
She figured she would just accept her fate. Her system progress had already reached one hundred percent. As long as Fang Huiling remained alive, she could never leave this world. But none of that mattered anymore. She was never going to kill her anyway, so she prepared to spend the rest of her dull, meaningless life just drifting along.
While lost in these thoughts, she suddenly received a call from an unknown number. From the other end of the line came a chillingly gentle voice.
“Sister, where are you right now?”

It was raining lightly on the day of her lover’s funeral. Fang Huiling stared blankly at the picture on the tombstone, looking at her lover’s bright smile, and forced a faint, silent smirk.
She wanted nothing more than to follow her into death right then and there.
Then, everything went black. Right before she lost consciousness, she heard a strange, robotic voice from above. It asked her, “Are you willing to see your lover again? Even if it means suffering endless pain?”
