The Villain Has A Yuri Halo [Quick Transmigration] - Chapter 59.2 (End of World 3)
In that moment, Li Ju maintained an air of detached composure.
System 666 had even revealed the entire world’s plot to her, but Li Ju simply ignored it. What good was knowing the plot when her memories were already fragmented? She barely remembered System 666 itself, let alone expect her to follow the storyline.
Stubborn by nature, she trusted only her own instincts.
Li Ju opened the car door and said casually, “I’ll take you to the Lihua Hotel.”
“How do you know I’m staying there?” Mu Rongguang hadn’t even mentioned it to Mu Linglong.
Li Ju smirked. “Mu Rongguang, if you can have me investigated, I can certainly have you investigated too.”
Are all Mermen this naive?
Mu Rongguang’s expression darkened. Li Ju pressed, “Do you still want to find the person your mother wants to meet?”
“What? Do you have a lead?”
Li Ju gave him a knowing look, deliberately leaving her words ambiguous to keep Mu Rongguang in suspense. “Whether there’s a lead depends entirely on your cooperation.”
Thank goodness my teacher is so resourceful, or I wouldn’t be able to threaten Mu Rongguang at all.
Li Ju settled into the car first, leaving Mu Rongguang behind, his face contorted in a grimace as he ground his teeth.
Finally, Mu Rongguang let out a cold snort. “I won’t interfere with your relationship with Linglong. Neither my mother nor I will try to take her back. And… I won’t bother her again.”
Li Ju smiled, satisfied, and started the car, teasing, “That’s what I like to hear.”
Mu Rongguang had briefly clashed with her, only to realize he was no match for Li Ju. He had no choice but to swallow his pride and agree to her demands.
He radiated icy hostility, but Li Ju remained unfazed, even managing to spare some attention for System 666, which was in a state of meltdown.
It’s over! The plot is completely off the rails! The villain has made peace with the male lead! There wasn’t even a proper showdown! And now the villain is with the female lead! Is this even the story I’m supposed to be seeing?
“The plot’s been broken for ages. You’re just noticing now? The original story didn’t mention me getting a fever and losing my memories. Maybe I was supposed to die that day.”
Li Ju’s expression was subtle, her tone strange. She couldn’t help but recall A’Ci’s description of her feverish state that day. Even A’Ci, an otherworldly being, had found her body temperature unnaturally high. Could it be that without A’Ci’s intervention, she would have died that day?
“Ah!!”
“Are you seriously not telling a ghost story?”
Li Ju smiled calmly, a hint of something unsettling in her expression. “What if this is the truth? Besides, didn’t you seek help because of my amnesia last time? Did you find a solution?”
“The Program is developing a new version and plans to update again! Maybe the next version will fix this bug! Don’t worry, Host! Even if this mission fails, we still have enough points to cover it!”
By the end, System 666 was practically choking back tears, burying its head in the console. It was heartbroken over the massive points deduction. So many points gone, waah!
“666, I think you should argue with the Program. We’re both doing missions to serve the plot. Not only did the Program fail to prevent this bug, but it’s also penalizing us for mission failure. I believe the Program is at least fifty percent responsible for this outcome.”
Li Ju’s words were like music to System 666’s ears, showing it a new path forward.
“Y-yeah… that makes sense! It’s so logical!”
“Exactly! Why don’t you try arguing? Maybe we can at least halve the points we lost.”
This time, System 666 didn’t reply. Li Ju knew it had already obediently gone to demand compensation from the Program.
Li Ju immediately breathed a sigh of relief. Without System 666’s incessant nagging, she felt like she had come back to life.
“We’ve arrived at Lihua Hotel,” Mu Rongguang said stiffly, offering a perfunctory thank you.
Li Ju pushed open the car door and stepped out. Her striking beauty belied her lethal capabilities; to the casual observer, she appeared to be nothing more than a sophisticated and attractive woman.
“Take care,” Mu Rongguang said, unable to resist adding, “You… you must treat Linglong well.”
“Rest assured,” Li Ju replied. “The fact that her parents entrusted her to me is the greatest endorsement I could ask for.”
The unspoken message hung in the air: Her parents have already met me and approved. What right do you, an outsider, have to object?
Mu Rongguang turned away, speechless. Li Ju smiled, removed her glasses, and rubbed her eyes. Catching sight of the sunset’s fiery hues painting the horizon, she murmured, “Such a beautiful sunset should be shared with Linglong.”
Under the same sky, Mu Linglong was also admiring the sunset. She tenderly lifted the pot containing a white rosebush, its buds just beginning to unfurl. “The vibrant sunset really reminds me of her,” she mused with a soft smile.
It hasn’t even been that long since we parted, yet I already miss her.
A sudden evening breeze swept through, as if carrying Li Ju’s longing back to her. The white roses swayed gently, and Mu Linglong’s eyes curved into crescents of joy.
“Sis, can I ask you something?”
“Go ahead.”
Qin Peipei was genuinely curious, so she pounced on the question as soon as the real estate agent left.
“I never knew you liked swimming before. When we were buying this new house, you didn’t mention any specific requirements—except for the pool. Sis, did you win the lottery or something? Villas with pools are crazy expensive!”
Li Ju tucked her hands into her pockets and smiled faintly. “I don’t even like swimming.”
“Then why buy a villa with a pool?”
“My girlfriend does.”
Qin Peipei clamped her mouth shut, speechless. Why can’t my mouth just stay put?! Why did I have to ask that? Now look what you’ve done—you’ve been force-fed a whole bowl of lovey-dovey nonsense!
“Fine, fine. Spoil her all you want.”
Li Ju chuckled. “I don’t have that kind of money. Linglong bought the house.”
“Whoa! Sis, you’ve finally landed yourself a sugar mama!” Qin Peipei crowed with schadenfreude. Who would have thought that the renowned appraiser from the Black Market would end up being a kept woman in real life?
Li Ju smirked. “This kind of ‘sugar mama’ isn’t something just anyone can get.”
Qin Peipei nodded in agreement. “You’re right. I definitely couldn’t.”
Mu Linglong, who had gone to see the attic with the realtor, walked excitedly over to Li Ju. She grabbed Li Ju’s arm and exclaimed, “It has a pool and an attic! I want this one!”
“Linglong, keep your voice down! We can’t show how much we like it, or the realtor won’t lower the price.”
Mu Linglong nodded obediently. Li Ju entrusted this crucial task to Qin Peipei, patting her shoulder solemnly. “Go get ’em, Peipei. Order whatever you want for dinner tonight.”
Qin Peipei replied haughtily, “Hmph, so there are things even you, Li Ju, can’t handle. Just wait and see how I tear that realtor apart!”
Their adoring gazes pleased Qin Peipei, filling her with confidence as she went to meet the realtor.
Li Ju pinched Mu Linglong’s cheek. “You really like it that much?”
“Mm-hmm! It’s exactly how I imagined our home would be!”
Li Ju couldn’t help but pull Mu Linglong into a hug. Whether the woman in her arms was a Merman or human no longer mattered; all that mattered was that she was her beloved.
“Why are you looking at me like that? It’s making me blush.”
“Linglong was so brave earlier, actually agreeing to go see the attic with the agent.”
Mu Linglong’s barely concealed delight made her look even more charmingly adorable. “Even the most socially anxious person needs to change, right?”
If she could kiss and do other things with Li Ju, that loathsome human, then the rest of humanity was hardly worth mentioning. And the thought that Li Ju was human, just like her, made Mu Linglong realize she had nothing left to fear.
“You’re amazing, Linglong.”
Mu Linglong glanced at her shyly and whispered, “I always call you ‘wife,’ but you never call me that.”
Li Ju smiled brightly, understanding this was her way of expressing dissatisfaction. Her tender eyes were full of warmth, and her captivating smile made Mu Linglong’s cheeks flush crimson.
Li Ju wrapped her arms around Mu Linglong affectionately and whispered in her ear, “Come here, my lovely wife.”
In that instant, Mu Linglong’s eyes welled with tears. She thought of her parents, of her past confusion and pain. The happiness and fulfillment she felt now seemed almost unreal.
She swallowed her tears, closed her eyes, and buried her face in Li Ju’s shoulder.
In a daze, Mu Linglong wondered if she was missing her parents. She thought she heard her mother’s gentle voice:
Congratulations, you’ve altered fate once again.
As you change your own life, you also change the fate of the villains.
“…Mom?”
Good girl, look forward to our next reunion.
Li Ju heard Mu Linglong’s murmur clearly and asked with a tender smile, “What’s wrong? Missing your aunt?”
Mu Linglong blinked, then smiled with relief. “I thought I heard my mom’s voice. Maybe I just miss her too much.”
“What did she say to you?”
Mu Linglong paused, then replied, “She said we’ll be happy.
In truth, she couldn’t quite remember what the voice had said, like a tear that evaporated too quickly, leaving her feeling a little lost. So she simply spoke from her heart, expressing her own hopes for a bright future.
Li Ju’s smile deepened. “Of course we will.”
With both a lover and a family, happiness was within reach.
This was a love story come full circle.
